Moving and remodeling are always stressful no matter how well prepared. We chose Colorado Flooring to help us redo our dream home. Picking two products, carpet and LVP, install was set for 10/4/21. I understand there are going to be delays, just part of the world we live in now. However, I expect some proactive communication if there is an issue and some effort by the merchant to help correct it. I didn’t receive either of these from Colorado Flooring. After several delays in this process, my family is set to move to our new home with NO floors. Greg / Jeff at Colorado Flooring demonstrated no empathy for the situation they left my family in. I was told 4 different times that products would be installed but Colorado Flooring failed to come through each time. When they came to install the carpet, the installer cut around parts of the door and just left the old carpet there. Even now, they refuse to help or provide some kind of assistance. When I voiced my frustration, Greg said he would just cancel my order. So if you are looking for extremely poor customer service, orders that don’t show up and communication that leaves you wondering what is happening, choose Colorado Flooring!
Donita at Colorado Flooring has a great eye for flooring. She answered all of our questions and gave us great information on the different types of flooring available. When choosing what would go with our cabinets, the suggestions she made helped us narrow down the perfect match for our project. She was so kind and patient with us and when we finally made our decision, getting all the prices together, materials ordered and installation set up went like clockwork. The installers were professional, clean and did a meticulous job. Our new floors look fantastic! We will definitely use Colorado Flooring when we continue remodeling our home
Ibe been doing fix and flips for a number of years now. Jeff is always very helpful. With finding me something that looks great and stays within my budget.Love this place
Had my rugs installed yesterday. Shelley was a delight to work with and the rug was great BUT do NOT use SERGIO as your installer. He did not pick up the rug on the assigned day so when his team did get there they couldn’t find them. Sergios team was 2 hours late and upon finishing they left rug debris all over the house and front yard. Sergio also tried to do a bait and switch on the quoted price for install so if you use him get it in writing. All in all this install was a nightmare.I emailed Shelley but she didn’t bother to respond.
They have a big showroom with lots of selection! We hired them to refinish our hardwood floors. They were so careful and we felt very comfortable having their crew in our home. They were also very clean and professional. They repaired some pretty damaged spots in our existing wood and seamlessly laced in another room. I cant even tell where the new boards and the old boards are! Our floors look brand new and gorgeous!! We loved working with them so much, we went back to have our carpets replaced.
Very good service good price and good inventory
They refinished our hardwood floor, and they were so great that we went back to them for our carpet. It was a different crew, but they were just as professional. Two guys came and they were friendly and fast. They installed carpet on our stairs and in the upstairs bedrooms. We chose a carpet with a linear pattern and they kept us informed of progress and followed our wishes for the direction it should lay. They were also clean and hauled away all of the old carpet and padding. I would highly recommend Gary Gilbert as a salesman and his crew.
Update - Their general manager had a different team come out again to re-do the baseboards that were poorly installed and various other minor annoyances. The end result is pretty reasonable, and at least what I would have expected the first time around.------I would almost give them two stars because their follow-through on my complaints was handled reasonably, however after giving it some time, my overall satisfaction with the floor Ive had redone is meh when I definitely paid for great.I had the carpet in my main level replaced with quality vinyl. The product itself is fantastic, and my salesperson was knowledgeable and helpful. Installation was slated for three days, perfectly acceptable to me, and was scheduled within a few weeks of ordering, also good.Installation was done in one day by a crew of what I can only assume are amateurs. While it was extremely fast, it was equally shoddy workmanship. None of their edging lined up, the floor was dramatically sloped, and completely buckled in numerous places. Worst of all, they removed and replaced my baseboards (as expected) but in the removal process they completely destroyed them. I was informed by the manager after complaining that this was due to the original baseboards having been screwed in, and destroying them on removal was unavoidable. Had they simply told me this when they discovered it, I would have happily had someone handle putting on new baseboards, but instead they re-installed the utterly trashed originals. They also didnt clean up much of anything, with broken dry-wall, wood, carpet, and nails/staples scattered around my house. After I complained, their manager came out and assessed the situation, and two weeks later was able to schedule a team to come out and fix my primary concerns, and replace the baseboards. The team that came out was the same team that did the work originally, and while the manager was onsite to ensure they did things correctly, its clear that they still were not quality professionals. They caulked the seams that they were incapable of aligning properly, instead of re-doing them properly (I dont foresee that lasting). They put in new baseboards, but in areas where they didnt measure properly or have sufficient materials, they simply used two pieces, and didnt align those up well, so there are visible seams and bonus pieces where a properly done job would have left things perfect with a single (or maybe two on long walls) piece per section. They did patch the drywall where they had damaged it, and they did manage to get most of the floor bowing under control (theres still spots you can tell if you know its there, but I can live with it).I had to have someone else come out to re-paint to address the patched areas and to actually paint the baseboards, and had to spend hours vacuuming and cleaning up the random scrap that was just strewn about (dozens of nails and staples in carpet, on countertops, and even on the brand new floors). At the end of the day, things look good because I chose a quality product, but if you look closely you can still tell that it wasnt done right, and I truly regret working with this company for the installation. They will NOT be getting my business when I redo the remainder of my house (upstairs and basement) in the upcoming year.Had the follow-up corrections brought my satisfaction to good or great instead of just ok I would have given two or three stars, but I just cant justify recommending anyone use this company for their installation (good product though, feel free to buy and have someone else install).
Donita failed to mention you cant pick up your order after 4:30pm even though they close at 7pm. Drove 90 mins from Colorado Springs for nothing. Dont worry they checked to see if I could pick it up anyway but found out they actually dont have it at all, and I will have to call them tomorrow to sort it out. It gets better... Donita also miss priced our invoice so we would order from them instead of a competitor, then called back an hour after giving her my credit card that she made a mistake and they cant give that price and used my card to purchase the flooring at the same price as the competitor instead. When we eventually got our flooring, they had stickers from the competitor we should have gone with. I recommend looking elsewhere. I know I will...
Great selection and amazing service
They did a good job placing the tiles in our kitchen while we were out of town. When we returned we found some irregularities in the level of the floor in one or two places and the tiles were deforming when they were walked on.When I asked to have the situation addressed they were happy to send out one of the installers to look at it. They later tore up part of the floor and remedied the situation by leveling the floor and reinstalling the tiles free of charge..I appreciate that kind of customer service and I wanted to share.
Terrible customer service. No return phone calls. No signed contract, but still take your money, then want full payment before even showing up to do work. My parents are 80 years old and they would never not pay for their work completed. And for the manager to not complete a job for a senior citizen couple is just terrible. Never will i do business with company again nor will i refer.
I have had a lot of challenges trying to work with this company. The first problem was when I scheduled an at-home consultation. I took time off work and no one showed up, nor did I receive any explanation why. A week or two later, I emailed the company and told them what happened, and was able to re-schedule. A guy came to measure our floors and said he would send us a quote. Neither my husband nor I received a quote, and it has been almost two months. Finally, right before Thanksgiving, we were told that someone was going to personally look into why we were left out and have not been contacted since. Im not sure whats going on, but its very frustrating and annoying.
Shout out to Colorado Carpet and Rug, located at 1001 S Platte River Dr, Denver. If you need carpet, they are amazing and the place you should go to. BUYER BEWARE of Carpet Exchange in Parker! We needed ~1000 sq ft of carpet for our basement. I went to Carpet Exchange in Parker because it was close. I met the store manager, and he showed me some carpets and gave me some information. He was helpful. I found a patterned carpet I loved, and he even knocked a little off the listed price. They came out to measure, so we could get a full quote. The first price they came back with was surprisingly high. I noticed the quote was for 1400 sq ft of carpet and padding. That was almost 50% more than the size of the area. He said that was because of the pattern repeat. I then asked him why he had 1400 sq ft for the pad which has no pattern. He said he would get a new quote. The 2nd quote decreased the amount needed for the padding, but not the carpet amount because that is how much the computer said we needed. I didn’t feel comfortable at all. I was upset that he could lower the price by so much after I pointed what seemed to be an obvious error.I happened to stumble upon an ad for Colorado Carpet and Rug. I decided to go there. I met the store manager at that store as well. They had the exact carpet for less. They came out 2 days later to measure and he had the quote the same day he measured. His quote came back with only needing 1,106 sq ft for the same carrier with the same pattern repeat. They also had the same pad at a lower cost also. And their quote was more than 20% less than Carpet Exchange. They ordered the carpet and a week later we had it installed. The installers were fantastic, and it looks great.
We went to Colorado Flooring at their Denver location. We worked with Donita. She did an excellent job of showing different carpet samples that would work with our hardwood floors, woodwork and wall color. We selected 4 samples. Donita then brought the 4 samples, along with one she thought would work well for us, to our home. She measured both of our bedrooms for new carpeting. We then decided we liked the sample that Donita chose. It looked best with our surroundings. She also helped guide us in the padding selection. Two weeks later it was installed by tremendous crew of 2. They were efficient, tidy and the end result was wonderful. It was a great experience from beginning to end!
Lots of choices and great guidance provided to pair choices
We moved to a new home and wanted the same carpet for our bedroom that we’d had in our previous home. We were fortunate to have Donita Fischer help us because she did a stellar job! She let us know that the carpet we wanted wasn’t readily available and was very expensive. Donita then worked tirelessly to find us an alternative carpet that was the same color and quality. The carpet was installed promptly and expertly and we ended up liking the new carpet even more than what we had started out looking for! The new carpet is thick and plush and perfect for your feet’s first contact in the morning! Donita also had our leftover carpet bound for us at a very reasonable price and we now have matching carpet mats to use in our home. Thank you Donita and Colorado Flooring for giving us such a positive and professional experience!
Great store! They have many different options and styles, great customer service, good prices and happy customers. Its not crowded, and they are honest about their goods. They sell area rugs, as well as all sorts of flooring.Feel like your home can use some remodeling?Go to Colorado Carpet and Rug!
Purchased a remnant here a while back and paid a fortune to have it bound into a rug. I was assured this was such great quality that it would stand up to life. This has not been even close to the case. I disclosed that we have a large dog and this would be in our highest traffic room. Lesson learned - definitely dont trust them to tell you about quality, you better know all on your own bc they wont tell you. Buy your area rugs from Target and youll find a better deal!
Large store with a great selection.
Great staff
We had the pleasure of working with Troy Flores for our carpet purchase. Troy was very knowledgeable and patient with us while we made our carpet selection. In addition, he was very responsive to our needs in that he updated quotes and sent them to us quickly and followed up with us following our carpet installation, which we were also very pleased with. Overall, we had a great experience working with Troy and highly recommend using him when making a carpet purchase.
Our shopping experience was extremely pleasant here. Not only did we find a premium carpet at a fair price, the estimate and install was accurate and professional. As a big purchase this was one of the harder ones to make. I felt confident working with Donita, who was patient and allowed me to take my time shopping and understand my options. She was helpful keeping my budget in consideration. We get compliments on our flooring constantly. I highly recommend looking here first.
Gary got us the best price on a whole-house carpet purchase. We price-checked so many carpet places, and his very first quote was the very best for our Colorado Springs home. Everything was on time, from the free measure to the full install. And the installers were top-notch. They knew their craft well; they worked fast and hard and left us with flawlessly installed carpet.
Harrison listened to our needs and offered several options. He was responsive to my emails and phone calls. He explained the pros and cons of the various pad options. Install was fast and professional. Highly recommend.
Started off a little slow with no customer service but Donita was very good....
The flooring that I ordered with Troys considerable help looks great. It is very quiet to walk on with the addition of the recommended padding. It is beautiful in its finished state. I also have to say thank you to Marcellino who was recommended by Troy. His installation crew was EXCELLENT!
We are in the process of renovating our main floor on a budget. Donita at Colorado Flooring has become like a member of our team, helping us find what we are looking for and working hard to find us the best price. The communication has been constant, and shes made herself very available to us. She has also offered advice about our project along the way. We cant recommend Donita and Colorado Flooring enough!
Pretty bad experience. Dont believe them when they say customer satisfaction guaranteed. The carpet was good, but installation was terrible. I read the reviews and confirm with my sales person Harrison that the work would be done satisfactory, as I had seen a few reviews talking about the poor installations. He said multiple times, yes we will make sure its perfect. Turns out the installation quality was terrible. I called and asked them to come out and fix a couple joints between the carpet and tile as one side of the joint was 1/2 above the tile and the other side was 3/4 below the tile, really terrible. His commit was yes we will send someone out, but it will cost you a 150.00 trip fee. I reach out to the office and they did not respond. What a joke! I spent 200.00 for another company to come out and it looked perfect. Throw a dart and you will be better served. Cheers!
Very impressed! We worked with Harrison to replace the flooring in our kitchen and living room, and we were provided with excellent customer service from start to finish. I was in love with the look of hardwood flooring, but was really concerned about staining and durability. Harrison was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, and very patient with us while we considered our options. We really felt that he was truly invested in giving us a great experience. Much to my surprise, we ultimately decided to go with Coretec flooring at Harrisons suggestion. Our floors look so gorgeous, and we paid a fraction of what we would have expected to for wood floors. The installers were very professional and considerate. I will definitely return the next time I need new flooring.
I want to tell everyone to go to Colorado floors and see Donita. She helped me get what I wanted for my new kitchen floor. The three men that did the work were soooo great. I recommend this company highly. They did everything professionally and on time. Will go back for all my flooring needs. Thanks Donita for your customer service.
I worked with Donita who went above and beyond to make sure my questions were answered and to get the correct measurements. My flooring turned out so well without any issues or setbacks. Great job!!!
Gary Gilbert came out to our house and measured for carpet. He has been nothing, but a great help and we would suggest him to anyone. We went to multiple places and he gave us a great deal. We will recommend Colorado Flooring to anyone.
I can’t say enough good things about Colorado Carpet and Rugs! We were looking at several different flooring stores to redo our house, but decided on Colorado Carpet and Rugs because they were competitively priced, the sales person knew what he was talking about, and treated us like real people.
Just bought carpet from Troy. He was so helpful and nice. I would recommend Troy and co carpets to everyone.
I love this place! Jeff has been so nice every time I have come into this location. I would highly recommend him to anyone!!
I recently purchased carpet from Jeff at Colorado Carpet and Rug. I am very happy with the great customer service as well as the finished result of the install. Thank you Jeff and Colorado Carpet and Rug. I will be using you again as well as sending all my friends to you. Great job its beautiful!
Great experience. Bought once for my house and another time for a rental. In both cases I received good value and excellent service. Ill keep coming back. And, they follow-up if theres a problem.
I have worked with Gary @ CCR on numerous occasions and I have to tell you ~ He is the definition of ROCKSTAR. EVERY SINGLE TIME he has bent over backwards to be helpful. His knowledge of his inventory is #1 in his company. If it is time to be taken care of like the Royalty you are, then you need to pop in and see Gary!!
Amazing Selection and great prices! The installers are friendly and work very hard! I love this place!!
Really great prices. Lots of choices on wood floors. Bought from this location couple of times with no problems. Very helpful.
Customer service over the phone was extremely poor. Try sounding like you actually enjoy interacting with people/potential customers and it will be a more pleasant experience for all those involved. Just poor.
Had LVP floor installed in kitchen and living room. Very professional installation. They even removed the squeaks in the sub floor before laying the planks down. Minor buckling problem in kitchen 2 weeks after install but contractors came out and fixed right away (2 days). Colorado Carpet even took back the excess/unopened materials. Cost was very competitive. Would use again.
Had a great experience here. Gary was very helpful and helped us find what we needed.
We used Colorado Flooring through Costco because they touted their warranty. Now that we’ve attempted to file a warranty claim, they won’t return our emails or phone calls.
I needed carpet and vinyl installed before the holidays to rent out my unit.Jeff ran over same day measured and found the installer for me by next day.Super happy 😃
The prices and products are good however don’t expect customer service. The manager here is rude and definitely not service oriented so don’t expect help from him if you have a problem.
We found a beautifully hand stitched rug. unbeleivable rare find!!
We were recommended to Colorado Flooring by a friend who had a good experience with a carpet install here, but unfortunately, our experience was far from the experience they had.We walked in on a Saturday afternoon, and a sales rep reluctantly got up from his comfy office chair to help us - I get it, we are young and he probably didnt take us seriously. But we seriously were in the market to get new floors!Im in sales and I know how a good salesman/saleswoman acts - and we got a dud. Our sales guy was more handsoff, which is fine - they have a lot of options to choose from, and Troy let us just roam and look at all their carpet and LVT. But he didnt ask us ONE single question about ourselves, what we were looking for, if we had dogs, etc. I tried to ask him questions about himself, hoping to warm him up a bit, but that didnt work. Based on the other reviews, it sounds like Donita and Gary are excellent - too bad we didnt get to work with them. The first time we were there, I pulled up their Yelp Check-In offer of a Free Area Rug with Purchase - I mentioned if to Troy, and he just laughed about it and told me that he had never heard of that offer before and that he had some 2x2 carpet samples he could give me for free. When I pressed it further, he said he would ask his manager. We came back in about a week later to finish the paperwork on our install. When I brought up the check-in offer for the free area rug again, he again offered free carpet samples again. We were signing paperwork to spend $10k on new floors, and they wouldnt even honor their offer of a free $200 rug. (This offer is still live on this Yelp page.)This might sound petty, be we ended up not going with Colorado Flooring because of this - we went to another store down the road and their sales people were eager to help us and our new floors look great. Im sure losing us was no skin off Colorado Floorings back, though.I did give them 2 stars because they have a really great selection of rugs that are priced better than most online retailers.
Great an friendly stuff, good pricing. Excellent quality of carpet and hardwood.
This company was pretty disappointing and dont see how I could really work with them. They are the local company my Costco uses for flooring. Been close to three weeks now since salesperson came out to house...no quote..no samples...no communication. Apparently my 5-6k basement project wasnt worth their time. Gonna reach out to Costco and see if they have a different company I can work with.
Gary made my life easy peasy thanks for the great experience
Ive had two horrible experiences with Colorado Carpet. The first time was carpeting our own residence. We paid significantly extra for the movers option, and several pieces of furniture (3 bookcases, 1 trundle bed, and 2 dressers) were badly damaged by the workers. I immediately notified our salesman, Gary, with photos of the damage. Finally, after numerous contacts via text, email, and phone messages, a third party furniture repair guy came out and touched up one of the 6 damaged pieces of furniture. He said he was not able to fix the other 5. Numerous additional follow-ups with Gary telling him about the unaddressed damages went ignored. I asked for a refund of the movers expense, at the very least. No response. On the second experience, one of our subs used Colorado Carpet (and specifically Gary) to order our flooring for a commercial project. I called Gary to put a deposit on my credit card and he assured me the materials would be delivered onsite within a couple weeks. Way past that deadline, and trying to work around other workers for painting, trim carpentry, etc., I called and texted Gary to find out where our flooring was. No response. Waited several days and asked again. No response. Finally found out from one of my workers that some of the materials were sitting in a warehouse and others had problems in production and had to be redone. Still, no word from Gary, in spite of repeated requests for an update.
Donita was a great salesperson and whoever installed my carpet did a really good job.
We have used Colorado carpet and rug as a vendor for years always had install and warranty issues just excepted it and moved on.The last few jobs we used them on were a complete nightmare to say it politely.Weve had costumers shown wrong selectionsCustomers selections lost etc.I had addressed these issues with Jeff and Gary however they were ignored. The latest disaster was a carpet install that was one of the worst I’ve ever seen and was measured short stair stringers left unfinishedGary was informed immediately there was a problem I was given the run around and eventually ignored once again. The customer refused to pay for the 4000+ carpet and install which is understandable, after weeks of being ignored we replaced the carpet with a different company in an attempt to get the job closed out and paidWe disputed the transactions that’s when Gary decided to reply however his reply was we order extra carpet to fix the install issues even though it will be a different dye lot and shade it won’t be that noticeableNot an unacceptable answer! Colorado carpet and rug which is owned by carpet exchange obviously doesn’t care to come forward own up to their mistakes and reimburse us for our loss leaving us filing litigation against them. This is in response to Evelyn who responed below, I spoke with her 2 weeks agoWas told a Joe would get in touch with me to get the situation handled, still nothing, more excuses and nonsense being ignored yet again. This company is terrible.
Terrible install job - They installed tile directly onto my plywood subfloor and Ive since learned that you cannot do this. Now every year I have to pay someone to come in and fix the tiles that have come loose and or broken. $50 worth of materials and an extra half hour of their time would have prevented this.
I am doing remodeling on tile, wood and carpet from this company, but I am having very bad experience on installation and coordination with the contractor they send over. I do not know what will be end up with. I hope they can fix everything I reported to them. A lot of things need re-do if the communication still not right!
My husband and I went into Colorado Carpet & Rug on June 26th and worked with one of their salesman, Gary. We choose the carpet and made a down payment at that time. We were told that when the carpet came in we would pay for the rest and then pay the installer their money owed. The carpet installer, Rug Rats, scheduled our installation on July 15th. Joe from Rug Rats called on July 14th and said he could not make it as he was too busy. Since I left a message and he never responded back, so we contacted Gary at Colorado Carpet. Gary was apologetic and said we would have the installers show up that Thursday which was the 17th around 9:00. I took another day off work and about 10:30 called my husband to let him know they still had not arrived. We then found out that the new installers went to pick up the carpet and the carpet had never been ordered and of course guess who was on vacation….Gary. After we dealt with another individual at Colorado Carpet & Rug we were then told it would be July 22nd when the installers would be there. So at this time we were paying a little over $3000 for the carpet and installation and had lost four (4) days of working pay not counting the time that we still had not moved into our new home. After my husband asked what they were going to do to compensate us they said they would give us $200 off the price. I am disappointed that a store would allow their salesmen to lie to their clientele about ordering carpet when we had already put money down. We spent more in taking time off than what the $200 covered. Terrible work ethic, be careful using this company.
Horrible experience - Colorado Carpet and Rug ordered carpet for a house; however it was back ordered and charged me before it was even installed. They upgraded our carpet but the installers did a considerable amount of damage and even tracked in dirt on the new carpet.Gary came out and saw the damage and advised me to submit an invoice to cover the fees incurred to fix what they damaged. I sent an invoice back at the end of April and again today but am being ignored!. The installers also entered the house without permission to retrieve additional carpet and tracked more dirt in. I WILL NEVER USE COLORADO CARPET again.
Great service and selection
I went through Costco to install flooring and baseboards in my basement back in August. The company Costco outsources for flooring happened to be Colorado Flooring. I cant express enough how frustrating and disappointing it was dealing with them throughout the process. The project was expected to take three days to complete (a day for leveling the ground, a day to install the floors and a day to install the baseboards). It ended up taking 10+ days over the course of almost 3 months for them to finish the project. The workers would routinely show up between 2-6 hours after the agreed upon time window (8-10am), and on a few occasions, wouldnt show up at all. There were days where they brought the wrong flooring material and baseboards, days where they forget to bring any material and days where they did a poor job of installing and had to come back to fix their errors.I followed up with two employees, Chuck and Cameron, about these issues. They didnt provide any remedies other than a partial refund. The issues continued as the project got closer to completion. The flooring on stairs had nails protruding from the surface, there were gaps in between the baseboards and flooring in several areas of the basement, several small and large dents to the walls in the basement, and most recently, a stair overlay came loose causing me to fall as I was walking down the stairs. I have not heard back from anyone at Colorado Flooring about these issues.Do not go with Colorado Flooring. They are awful with communicating, use contractors that do a poor and hazardous job of installing and are unprofessional.
