Many retailers will smile while selling you something and most times youll be happy. Its when things go wrong that separates the retailers. We bought several pieces from Modern Bungalow (MB) and were very pleased. We did have an issue with a dining table that had a defect in the stain that was only visible under certain light conditions and angles. MB worked with us, first sending in a refinishing expert and then, after unsuccesful attempts, had our table shipped back to be refinished by the manufacturer. MB managed the entire process from pickup to re-delivery. The process was seamless. The table looks great. I am very pleased with MB and their staff.

We purchased the SHENANDOAH LEG TABLE with stationary butterfly leaf in walnut. It is a beautiful table and we expect it to be passed down for generations.Matt, Modern’s owner, with his wife, know their products and have a reverence for their furniture that you could probably find in the craftsman who built our table and chairs; which is to say, they know and appreciate what they sell.The delivery was very professional and courteous.Beginning to end this was a very pleasant experience.

I am so happy that a store like Modern Bungalow exists. I had been dreaming of replacing my uninviting, travertine tile fireplace with a Craftsman style with quarter-sawn oak surround. I simply could not find right tile or even know where to start with finding someone who could build the surround. Modern Bungalow provided everything, from the initial layout design, to consulting on the tile selection, ordering the beautiful hand-glazed tile and connecting us with someone to build our custom surround. I bought the Streatham Park rug--Sara helped me. It is beautiful. The rug is described online as being primarily light brown, but I would say it is more like a very light sea foam. It actually works in my house despite the color not being what I expected. It was in stock and came from Denver to Idaho 3 days after I ordered--great service!

We have loved Modern Bungalow since moving to Denver and purchasing our 1924 Bungalow in the Alamo Placita neighborhood. Their selection of quality Arts & Crafts furniture and decor is fantastic! Even our dogs have gotten into the spirit since one of our Siberian Huskies is skittish about walking on our hardwood floors - she literally did a happy dance when Matt delivered an area rug for our front room. Now we are thrilled to be working with them to redesign a tiled fireplace with a new mantle and cannot wait to see how it turns out. I HIGHLY recommend this store.

We bought a beautiful wood and leather chair that was donated by Modern Bungalow at an auction to support our kids school. We were able to customize the leather with hundreds of colors to choose from, and the color we selected ended up looking AMAZING. The chair is so gorgeous and well-made. We will treasure it for many years. And the customer service of everyone at the store was top-notch. Even though we werent even real customers, we were treated so kindly. Lots of communication regarding the chairs customization and delivery. Everything was on-time and perfectly handled. The next time I need anything for my house, I am stopping here first!

I love the Art Nouveau style print I recently bought online from Modern Bungalow. In real life it looks just like its online image, and it feels at home in my 1933 bungalow! The print arrived promptly, and the transaction was pleasant. I will not hesitate to shop again at Modern Bungalow.

Many beautiful things for sale by very friendly people. A little on the pricey side but well worth a visit. On our last trip we couldnt resist a handmade ceramic tile that we decided to hang on the wall in deference to the fact that its really a work of art. Happy treasure hunting.

This store is a total hidden gem in Denver. My mom is an interior designer, so Im always looking for great spots to take her when she visits. She was extremely impressed with the amount of craftsman style furniture and accessories available, and how customizable the dining room tables are.This place has also become my new go-to for unique Colorado themed gifts – they always have something neat and high quality made by local artisans.
