Dominic & Robert showed up early today to deliver our fabulous furniture from Howard Lorton. They were polite, courteous, professional. They asked for permission to walk the route theyd need to access for delivery and set up of our new furniture, then took every precaution not to damage our hardwood floors or the new furniture items. They asked me to please check all of the furniture finishings to be sure there were no scratches, defects, or the like. All in all, they made the last part of this process perfect.

Vicky was so helpful and patient during the entire process of picking out our furniture to delivery. It was a very pleasant experience. She really wanted us to get the right furniture that will last us many years. Team Dominic delivered our furniture. They were very professional and careful. They washed their hands before touching the cushions. They even fluffed the pillows.

Mickey was an excellent designer, showing us couches that would suit what we were looking for and could receive immediately. As we weren’t sure if the sofa would fit on the stairwell to the lower level, we bought it on approval and Fernando and crew then came (with the sofa in the truck) to appraise the space. Turned out that it would be too big for the stairway. He suggested that we come back to the showroom - and named a few sofas that he thought would work in the stairwell. He promised to come back that day to deliver our new selection. Mickey then called to follow up and recommended one of the ones Fernando had mentioned. We went back to the store and chose it. Mickey adjusted our invoice and Fernando and Dominick delivered and assembled it a few hours later. We love it!!! The experience was very positive. Thank you Mickey, Fernando and Dominic!

We ordered two high-end, custom-designed Hancock and Moore sofas from Howard Lorton during the last Thanksgiving sale, one a Motion-Your-Way recliner and the other, a Your-Way Sofa. Beth ONeill patiently spent about 3 hours with us and did a great job of explaining and assisting us in selecting and designing the sofas. The sofas were delivered about 3.5 months after order and they look beautiful! Rob, Bryan and Josh, the delivery folks, were par excellence. They were right on time, very professional, courteous, and polite, and handled the furniture with great care as they brought them through the door. They helped assemble and test everything and even helped position the sliders below the sofa legs. These guys were amazing and we are very pleased with our experience.

Dominic and Jayden arrived early in the time slot, took away my dilapidated recliner and set up the new one in just a few minutes. The delivery was made easy for me by their courtesy and competence.

Lorence, Jay and Josh delivered our new sofa, chair and ottoman and they were conscientious of wearing their masks, and ensuring that they were placing the furniture where we wanted it. They were mindful to not damage the furniture. We live in an old home and they did an amazing job bringing the furniture in and placing it. They took all the trash with them and made sure I/we were happy. Our total experience with our Howard Lorton salesperson and delivery team was excellent and we will purchase from there again. Best customer service ever! Rob and Excel were remarkably conscientious, courteous and respectful. They arrived on time, explained the process, asked where we wanted the furniture placed and even moved a heavy sofa three times until it was placed in the perfect location. My place is at 9700 feet above sea level and they not only lugged all the new (heavy) stuff in, they carried all the old furniture into my awaiting trailer and even secured it all down with straps and covered it with moving blankets. I have been looking for a store that carries unique pieces, and I found what I was looking for. I purchased some beautiful clay pots that sit on a clay base. I Absolutely love them! I had three gentlemen that were professional, extremely nice that delivered those pieces. Rob, Excel, Bryan. These gentlemen were so kind and brought the pots to my backyard. Our new live edge dining table was delivered today, and we love it!!!. It was so heavy it took 6 very strong men to take it up the stairs and set it up. Not only did they do there job perfectly, they wore smiles the entire time they were here. And, when I wanted to put felt pads under the legs, they wouldnt let me do a thing - 4 of them tilted the table and the other 2 put the pads on for me. I really appreciate everything they did for us today - its no easy task handling a 450 lb++ bulky table. Brian, Eddy and X did a great job delivering our new Bracci leather sectional sofa. They put felt pads on the legs of the sofa so it would not scratch the floor and assembled the sofa and placed it in the right location. They also removed all trash from the delivery.

We were unsatisfied with our recent bed purchase from somewhere else and didnt know where to find a good bed. Howard Lorton has very luxurious supportive beds for the same price as the fancy new style air/foam bed that didnt even hold up for the 100 day trial and gave me back problems. Mickey Gilbreath at Howard Lorton was great! We will now shop their exclusively for furniture. The delivery team was awesome. Derek & Josh helped us remove the bed we were returning to the hall because the other companys driver was late. D&J were very careful of our home and other furniture as well as making sure we were satisfied before they left. Kudos to the whole team.

I will admit that I am NOT gifted in the home design arena. I more often get it wrong than right, so I am a repeat customer of Howard Lorton Furniture. The items are not those you would find in a friends home, which is a huge plus for me. My designer, Carol, finds things I would never normally pick and I end up astounded at the colors and happiness in the items she picks for my home. My delivery crew, Fernando and Robert, were friendly, punctual, AND they had helpful suggestions. They even placed the pillows, artfully. We went to Howard Lorton expecting high quality service, furniture and experience. We have been very disappointed.We purchased a custom Taylor King chaise sofa from Mickey Gilbreath in July last year; it was delivered 10/23/18. A month later, we called Mickey to order an ottoman to go with our couch. She was not helpful and told us it wouldn’t be possible to get what we wanted. We contacted a designer at Furniture Row, Shannon Murphy to ask if they carried Taylor King. She took all of the information over the phone, designed the ottoman, ordered it and called us to keep us updated every week until it was delivered.October 1st, we took 2 of our cushions to HL because the cord is starting to fray. We were greeted by Rob Osgard, who was very professional, skilled and service oriented. Mickey was busy so he took pictures, agreed they certainly shouldn’t look like this. He called Mickey over and told her what he had done and asked her to follow up. Following up after not hearing anything after two weeks, I called Mickey on October 15. She told me that she had not heard back from the rep. Additionally, she said, “it probably has to do with the synthetics you’re wearing and that fabric may be discontinued.” I told her that was unacceptable and she then said, “what do you want me to do?” I asked that she find out what the rep was going to do—she said she would e mail him again. It’s now been 3 weeks and still no information, no phone call.Terrible service, extremely disappointed.

Lorence and Bubba did a great job getting an outdoor table and chairs up to our rooftop on the 4th floor and our recliner to the living room on the 2nd floor. Not a scratch on the furniture and not a scratch on our walls in a tight stairwell.

The team at Howard Lorton deserve 6 Stars. First off, Rob (designer) spent hours with us picking out the perfect couch for our house. He was always warm and friendly, super knowledgeable, and very creative. If you need furniture, find Rob. Fernando and Lorence (warehouse manager and delivery driver) were AWESOME. They were in and out within 45 minutes - moving out 3 large pieces (sofa, loveseat, and chair) and one large sectional in. They were delicate, very respectful, and so nice, that if they had had time, we would have invited them to stay and have a beer after. By the time they had left, nothing looked out of place and our whole room was set up and ready to enjoy. They were efficient, skilled (seriously), and so friendly. Elena (sp?) in the front office has been super helpful as well. Weve had questions and special requests that have all been answered in the most helpful and efficient ways. Together, the team at Howard Lorton is the best team in town to do business with. We would loathe to go anywhere else (and weve tried) for furniture and design.

I wanted to write a 5 * review of this place but I’ve gotten such poor service that I just can’t.Honestly, I’d say this place is the design of yesteryear. I went there wanting to purchase furniture for a significant portion of my house but was so unimpressed with the service from Rob (a designer) and with their dejection that I ended up going elsewhere except for one item.What I’m upset about right now and what I’ll write a separate review about if it doesn’t get resolved is that I ordered an extremely expensive couch through them (the one item I referenced above) and the designer, Rob, refuses to give me updates despite the fact that it was supposed to have shipped 2 weeks ago. I have texted him multiple times and he has not yet responded. Ugh.I’ve also called the owner to let him know. If he is responsive, makes sure I get my couch in perfect condition in the next week, I’ll let you know. Otherwise assume this is an unprofessional operation who no longer stays up on style and has weak customer service.

Diego, Isiah and Roman delivered a very large armoire and were absolutely outstanding. They were careful to pad everything, and maneuvered a very difficult staircase. Give them a raise!!!

Disclaimer: Ive already written 1 other review for HL and their crew, but it was for a separate purchase/delivery. Today, they delivered the 2nd large piece and theyre as phenomenal as always. Rob remains our primary designer, but the entire staff at HL goes out of their way to be accommodating, even if youre not their primary client. The delivery crew is fantastic. Fernando and Lorence have moved a large sectional, a large couch, sofa, and chairs out of the house, as well as multiple pieces around the inside of the house - for both deliveries. They have never left the job with anything out of place, damaged in any way, or in need of any further work/adjustment. They simply refuse to sign off until its perfect. True customer service appears dead in many places... but definitely not at Howard Lorton.
