This was my first time taking my car here and I’ll definitely go back. Their communication was great throughout the process and they gave me realistic timelines which I appreciate. They also went above and beyond to ensure the problem I had with my vehicle had been fully resolved.

Phenomenal service! I called them because my car was having starting issues and I asked if I could bring it by sometime soon for an evaluation. They got me right in that same day, called me multiple times to give me an update on what was going on, and were extremely reasonable and professional. They were able to diagnose the problem and had my car back to me that same evening. I was more than happy to give this local shop my business and would highly recommend!

These guys are great! Took my wifes car to get a tow hitch installed. They custom cut the bumper to fit the hitch and it looks great! Got my car serviced there too. Awesome service, great prices, quick turn around, amazing communication. I cant recommend them enough.

Prices seemed fair. I will definitely be back and am happy to have a great local garage in the neighborhood.

Kearney Garage is wonderful! I am absolutely clueless about cars and they treated me with the utmost care and respect. I brought my Jeep in because it was having trouble starting. Kearney examined it and determined that my car had a recall on it, and recommended I take it to the dealership for a free repair. They easily could’ve done the repair themselves and charged me, but instead called Jeep themselves and made sure I would be taken care of there. I am so grateful!

Took my car to Kearney Garage to have the starter in my car replaced. Charged me $400 in parts for a replacement starter. I agreed to the service, but did some googling around and I could not find a starter for my car for more than $200 and used ones around $70 or $80. While I understand a garage has a mark up on products, I felt the price for a replacement starter was unreasonable especially if they used a refurbished starter. When picking up my car I noticed the invoice literally had new starter on it and I asked for a model or part number so I could ensure it was a good quality starter and not a refurbished unit. Got told it was a new WM starter. After I arrived home with the car I tried to do some research on WM starters for my vehicle and could not find a single thing on them. I then emailed the shop explaining this and asked again for a model or part number for the starter that was installed. Email was not returned so after 4 days I called the shop again and I was rudely told its a new starter and still could not get a part or model number. Extremely unprofessional and I am confident I got ripped off even if it was a new starter. Lesson learned will not use this shop again.Update: in response to Kearneys response on this reviewIts really a simple fix. Just tell me what type of starter was put in my car. Its pretty insane to have a garage tell the customer they can not tell them what parts were installed in their car.And the $400 cost has nothing to do with the service you provided or the certification of your techs, you charged me almost an additional $300 for labor.

Kearney Garage is a fantastic place to get your car checked out. They did a variety of repairs for us. They were clear and upfront about everything, taking the time to explain everything to us in detail. Super friendly little mom and pop shop. What I got done would have cost twice as much at the dealership, but it was extremely reasonable at Kearney. They made us feel like they really cared, and didnt try to sell us things we didnt need. I started bringing my Saturn here after I had several very bad experiences with a well-known franchise in downtown Denver. I felt good about supporting a local business, and I always felt that they were direct, respectful, and responsive to working within my particular needs and expectations, whether that was needing a ride to/from work while repairs were done, working within a budget, and understanding when I needed practical and real advice about my vehicle. It is refreshing and comforting to work with a business that cares about its reputation and its quality of work to be direct and honest with its customers. Alex even goes out of his way to provide advice when solicited to do so. Thanks Alex, and thanks Kearney Garage, I will most certainly be bringing future vehicles to you guys!

I dont know anything about cars but Anthony really took the time to thoroughly explain everything. Their diagnostic exams are detailed, including recommendations, images and notes from the mechanic. Hands down 100% recommend. Will definitely be using them for future car mechanic needs.

Kearney Garage: $225 for diagnostic (paid☹ and didnt tell me anything I didnt already know), $420 to replace spark plug and wires, $250 for turn signal switch. = $895What I did:$69 Spark wires (plugs looked fine), $60 turn signal switch (didnt fix problem), $14 turn signal relay (fix the turn signals) = $143Ive never worked on a car and they told me that it would be too hard to do on my own. Looked it all up on Google/YouTube. None of it was very difficult. It was much easier than putting together IKEA furniture!

This is, sadly, the first time Ive ever had to amend a review downward. Previously a five-star review, I am quite disappointed in my most recent experience with Kearney Garage.A few years back, Kearney replaced the alternator in my Corolla. The alternator they installed was bad, and it failed on me when I was in New Mexico, 400 miles from home. I ended up giving Kearney a five-star review at the time because they fully reimbursed me when I had no choice but to get the alternator replaced at a shop in Santa Fe. In spite of the issues, I felt like they had made good on their error.Still holding them in high esteem, I brought my Corolla to them a few weeks ago because I feared the transmission was failing. While I am not capable of auto repair, myself, I know my vehicles well and usually have a pretty good idea of what is wrong. I told them up front that I was worried I had a transmission problem. I was told that it might be an axle issue, but they would have to run diagnostics. Once the car was examined, it was discovered that I did, in fact, have a broken CV joint. I was also told that some engine mounts were in need of replacement, but with nearly 240,000 miles, I knew from the go that if the repairs were significant, I would just retire the car. I approved the replacement of the CV joint, since that would get me back up and running, at least for a little while.After the CV joint was replaced, the mechanics attempted to test drive the car, and nothing had changed - the transmission was still locking up, at which point they called me and told me I needed a new transmission, which would cost roughly $5,300. Needless to say, if I had known that from the start, I would have had NO repair done on the vehicle. Since the car was being junked, I clearly did not need a new CV joint, and while understanding that they needed some compensation for their time/labor, I requested that they give me a break on the cost of the repair and they refused. So I threw $600 at a vehicle that was dead and gone.When I went in to pay for the repair and get the Corolla towed back to my house, they did knock about $20 off the bill for something I didnt quite understand, but that was hardly much consolation. Beyond that, I was told rather rudely, Well, you can probably get a few hundred bucks for it in salvage, that will pay for some of your repair, a comment that was in really poor taste.I do not believe that Kearney is dishonest, and I do not believe they were trying to pull a fast one on me. They are, however, incompetent. They failed to diagnose a dead transmission when I told them up front thats what I was concerned I had and gleefully collected close to $600 for a repair on a vehicle they knew was being junked. As far as repair and diagnosis are concerned, they have failed me twice: first with the alternator, then on the transmission. And because of that, I will no longer do business with Kearney, and I will urge anyone else I know who is considering taking a car to them to find another garage.

The team here has been incredibly accommodating and friendly through our whole process. Even with a less than standard situation they gave us the best most honest services possible.

If you read nothing else from my review, at least read this: THIS MECHANIC TEAM IS THE BEST IN DENVER, AND POSSIBLY THE WORLD! Everyone seems to have their mechanic horror stories, from being lied to, being ripped off, being up-charged. I guarantee none of these things will happen at Kearney Garage. Alex was great from start to finish--going over the issues I was experiencing when I dropped the car off to make sure they were hearing the same noise as I was, calling to explain what they found in detail (and in a way that I could understand), and giving lots of love to my pup Vida! This team is professional, genuine, talented, and quick with their work. I will not be bringing my car anywhere else from here on out!

I’ve been in twice for two fairly big repairs on my car (2004 Honda), and my experience here was so wonderful! They’re very honest and open about the repairs that were needed, never tried to talk me into anything that wasn’t really needed, and kept me informed the whole way. Our car’s running better then it had been in ages, and I’m so glad to have found a shop that is reliable and great to work with!

I was excited to find a mechanic with great reviews in my neighborhood, but disappointed in the service. Not sure if it was because they are busy or what. Brought my van in for a window not working and a need a check on my battery isolator. This work was fine. My disappointment was in that I was told I need an oil change, but not offer to change it. When I asked if I could get an oil change I was told to come back the next day.. Also, I was told my transmission was leaking from a hose, but no one check the transmission fuel level or filled it. Again, no quote or offer to fix. Kearney is fine for doing the work you need, but they do have a diagnostic fee for work need. They do the work you want, but nothing extra.

They were honest and thorough with all the repairs done on my truck. I will be back.

Dang, I hate leaving a bad review since I’ve been coming here for years. I’m not sure if they are just swamped or what but they have gone down hill. Took them a week to switch a sensor out, should take a few hours. Left my car unlocked in on street parking. Had to constantly call them to ask if they would be able to get to my car. They said they solved the issue but as soon a I drove away the same issue continued. Called them and they said they couldn’t help. So I’m going to an actual dealer now. Just save your time

Its hard enough to find a mechanic let alone being female. You hear people talk about it constantly! I discovered this shop around 2 years ago. Amazing work with the gentleman Alex! He has always dumbed down the information enough if I never understood it. I cant think him enough for being honest and having a sense of humor.Brought my car in due to a weird acceleration noise. Asked him if we could go for a drive around the block so he could hear the noise. Said sure with no complaints. Called me after examining the car and told me the wheel bearing was bad. The staff there were genuine, helpful, and had great customer service. I really loved their feature where they sent me actual pictures from the shop of the issue with my car, as well as the before and after! It took out the guess work and established trust, which is huge for mechanics.

I was really taken aback by how unwelcoming the bald head guy at the front desk was. I wasnt even talking to him and he went on about how he didnt want to do what needed to be done just because he couldnt do an entire thing. $150 just for a Dino is outrageous then you can go get one at AutoZone for free why would they do that.and it is very well known in this neighborhood an in the community that this garage has a history of not being welcoming two people of color( just like the liquor store across the street) NO STARS!!! Google wont let me post this if I dont give him at least one

Good service, no run around, and clear communication. I ended up having them just run a diagnostic to determine that the fuel pump was not working properly. That repair is simple enough for my skill level, so I didnt have them do the work, but they were super helpful in diagnosing what was wrong.

I love going to kearney because they take better care of my car than places that the bigger places. They even give me a heads up on things that will need to be maintenanced in the future so I have time to plan on when I can get them done.

Solved my issue quickly and got me in and out of the shop before 8am.Highly recommend if you need service work done - they had a plethora of different vehicles on their lifts so They work foreign and domestic. The team here was courteous and responsive my several requests. They were amenable to working within my time frame.

These guys did a complex repair on my Camaro. The repairs required were more extensive than the diagnostic showed. Not only did Alex keep me apprised of the details, i.e. schedule, labor and any additional parts required. The work was completed beautifully, on time and within the price range quoted. Will I use them again? Absolutely! And I’ll be referring them to my clients that are looking for a reliable option other than the dealership.

Seem great on the phone. Once you’re there, they can’t tell you anything. No timeframe, no idea of cost. They won’t even go out and look at your car (the worst tire places even do this). Very disappointed and quite frankly frustrated with the customer service and their eagerness for you to go elsewhere. Would not recommend.

Took my car to the dealer ship since it was under warranty. They told me it wasn’t covered, even after I showed them where it was.Took my car to Kearney they got it in same day and repaired it for $600 less than the dealer quoted. Works like a charm.Great local shop!

This place does an excellent job at figuring out what is wrong, conveying how theyre going to proceed, and then fixing it. I am grateful to live so close to them. The owner is a true master mechanic who seems to care about the neighborhood he works in. The employees are very polite and courteous. I hate the fact that I need repairs done but at least Kerney is around to help.

Alex, the shop manager, was so helpful! We took a vehicle in for a pre-inspection before purchasing, and this shop saved us from ending up with a lemon! They found rust that was hard to see, but had also been tampered with and sprayed over to hide. He also squeezed us in same day. Thank you Alex!

I was driving cross-country from PA to CA when my car overheated in Denver. I had AAA tow it to Kearney because it was AAA certified and had good reviews on Google. The next morning I called to let them know what was wrong with it, and I was promised regular phone and/or text updates. I never received any, and had to call them repeatedly for updates. They didnt do any repairs for over 24hrs, and then took until the end of the second day to tell me they would need the car well into the following week. They charged $250 to replace the thermostat in the car, which accomplished nothing; my car was still overheating and I was still stranded in Denver. I had the car towed elsewhere to fix the problem. If they didnt have time to deal with my car or communicate with me, they only needed to tell me that instead of stringing my along.

My son had an urgent issues with his oil pan, and these guys got him in on the spot and made a rough situation turn around for the best! THANK YOU to Alex/team for your great work and wonderful attitude!!

Kearney Garage is one of the most honest auto repair places I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with. I had blown out the fuse on my Honda CR-Vs cigarette lighter outlet, and I figured at least $100 to fix the outlet. I showed up, in the morning, fully expecting to leave my car for the whole day. They immediately replaced the fuse. There was no charge for either part or labor! Unbelievable! I will absolutely be returning to Kearney Garage, and I live in SE Denver!

​The convenience of being able to drop our cars off at Kearney Garage and walk home is great enough but Im pretty picky about mechanics, have tried a handful here in Denver, and would absolutely recommend this place even if you dont live in Park Hill. Im not a car or SUV expert​ but I grew up on a farm and the Navy trained me in diesel mechanics, fluid power, and AC&R so I understand some of the basics of the issues that can crop up. Never once in the three times either I or my wife brought in varied problems with our late model sedan and older SUV have they ever tried to snow us over, oversell, or push unnecessary work. They are very competitive on parts prices and if a rebuild or cleaning is possible, go that route to save you money. Each time weve gone that route, their craftsmanship has held up. Lastly, theyre fast. It be what seems a complicated disassembly or a laundry list of repairs and theyll have it in and out and youll be back on your way. Again, highly recommend.
