I am not easy to please, I insist upon professionalism, especially with mechanics and physicians - for obvious reasons. You folks are the best! You explain what you do in a way which any layman can appreciate. They ought to put your faces on money! Anyone who does not believe that I am simply a grateful satisfied customer, can call me anytime they like. Robert Certo.
A great visit - new to the area and was lookin for a good place to take my car for an oil change. Shelby was fantastic throughout the whole day, communicating with me about the process and anything they found. Would highly recommend!
Not very knowledgeable about Subarus. Rather use excuses why theyre unable to repair your vehicle. Go somewhere else.
They charge hidden fees, $250 for a diagnostic test. These are the type of shops that try to Jack people out of their hard earned money don’t go here they’ll charge you hidden fees.
Extremely Thorough, Great Customer ExperienceFor someone who knows nothing about mechanics, the folks at Strictly Auto were patient in walking through a thorough diagnostic report and priority maintenance actions, reducing everything down to simple, relatable terms. It never felt pushy or like I was being swindled or sold something unnecessary, but objective and clear with plenty of options presented. Best mechanic Ive been to in my 10 years in the Denver area.
Great customer service!! Answered all my questions and got all I needed done in great timing. Wouldnt go anywhere else
Brought my Subaru in to have an oil leak diagnosed, their best case scenario quote to start repairs was $1100. I ended up going to another shop who quoted $600 for the same repair. At the end of the day I was charged $150 for them to open my hood acknowledge there was an oil leak and put more oil in. Not impressed.
Great customer service! Shelby took great care of me. They did their best to keep my costs down. I feel confident that they have the customers best interest at heart.
Had next-day availability for comprehensive car exam. (Smooth, covid-safe drop-off process). Once done, they called me to give me a review of every part of my car they checked, how long it would ned until replacement, were thoughtful, and definitely did not try to push on me any extra services. Overall great experience with them! I highly recommend!
Found! Strictly Automotive Repair shop - Honest, talented, affordable and goes above and beyond! If you’re looking for an auto repair shop that you can count on then look no further than Strictly Automotive at 804 W 10th Ave, Denver. Misty and her team saved me over $1,300. Took my car to Midas off 6th ave and they wanted to charge me over $1,300 for a new throttle body, which didn’t seem right to me. I searched for top reviews on Yelp, Nextdoor and Google and found Strictly Automotive. I called Them for a second opinion and Misty said that’s very rare and doesn’t sound correct at all. I had car towed to Strictly Automotive and they found the problem within 30 min, which was as simple as 3 fuses and charged me a low diagnostic fee. Midas still charged me for diagnostic (misdiagnosed) even after I called and informed them of the simple fix. Furthermore, both shops needed to get throttle body from same dealership and Strictly Automotive still came in about $500 cheaper than Midas if I needed that part. Instead they were honest and said, nope just some fuses. Misty went above and beyond throughout the whole experience. You always wonder if you’re taking your car to an honest shop and it’s a great feeling knowing that I don’t have to look any further. Strictly Automotive has secured my business for life. Highly recommend!
They are very knowledgeable and trustworthy. After having work done on the car, there were some odd noises coming from the front left wheel. They looked into it and replaced some brake hardware for free. This is despite the fact that the noise could not have been related to the work they had just done (I found out later from a more knowledgeable friend). Excellent mechanics with excellent customer service.
I dropped my car off for an Oil Change at Strictly Automotive on 10/8/2020. When I made the appointment, I was originally told I would be spending around $80 for a full synthetic oil change and that they would do a noise inspection for a sound I was hearing near the front left of the Car. Originally when I made the appointment, I was told that they would be able to diagnose the noise with the price of the oil change. Now, after I was already there to drop the car off, Misty who is the Manager said it would be an additional $70 for the inspection on top of the price of the oil change. I was not happy about it and told her that, but I agreed. She did not offer any compensation or anything. After leaving the car there, I talked with her several times over the couple days of Strictly Automotive having my car. Every time I talked to her she seemed to want to keep my car longer and the price of services seemed to keep going up. At first she said I did not need an oil change, and then later on now said she wanted to do an oil change with additives because of smoke coming from the Exhaust pipe. By the end they wanted $400+ for a Noise inspection, tail pipe inspection, and an oil change with some additives to help the smoke from the exhaust. It seemed very shifty the way Misty went about it. I would not recommend Strictly Automotive and will continue to tell everyone I know.
Strictly Automotive was easily able to address an issue with my mazda that came up during a routine check-up and oil change that another company was completely unable to do. They said it couldnt be done! But strictly automotive had no problems at all, and called to explain everything along with a detailed written report sent to my email. They really know their stuff, and I will definitely be bringing my car here in the future. You should too.
Great place to take your vehicle. They have found mistakes the dealership has made servicing my vehicle and I haven’t felt at all pressured to buy any services from them. The vehicle was still under warranty from those aforementioned services so I had them fixed at the dealership for free. It’s hard to find honest mechanics nowadays. I’ll continue taking my vehicle here.
I’ve been taking my Subaru to Strictly Automotive for may year. The team here can’t be beat. They always make sure to shoot it to you straight.I had a check engine light on. They quoted me a reasonably price for testing and even offered to waive the testing fee if I did the repair with them. My car was repaired within the time that they quoted me and even came in a little cheaper than they had originally mentioned. They took the time to explain thing to me thoroughly so that I had a full understanding of what was needed. They included a digital inspection report that they were able to email me and go over with me right over the phone.I wouldn’t take my vehicle anywhere else.Strictly is the Best.
Excellent service! Knowledgeable staff! Friendly and professional. I recently had an issue with my front end so I took my Subaru to a Firestone store to get my tires balanced and rotated. The problem was not solved so after someone recommended this place I decided to check it out. Im so glad I did! They told me that my tires were directional and that someone put them on backwards and the balance was off! After fixing that they test drove it but it still had a vibration at 60mph+ so they put it back on the lift and then did an alignment. After another test drive the problem was solved! Im very impressed with their service and the quality of the mechanics!
Great Staff/Good QualityThe expertise and friendliness of the staff is outstanding; and I know, after almost 20 years, that they do quality work at reasonable prices. They are always eager to help no matter what the issue is with my car. I have never had a bad experience or even any complaints in the many years I have been doing business here.
Reliable, communicative, only shop to go to if you have a Subaru
Take your car here! Excellent customer service from all, Covid contactless system organized, timely, and a great price. Car stuff is a pain and they make it easy!!
First-time customer. Had Strictly Automotive do a pre-purchase inspection on a private-party Subaru WRX. Chose them due to reviews online and proximity to seller. Very impressed. This was among the best PPIs Ive ever had performed; thorough, comprehensive, and fantastic format for sharing results. They even take photos that show fluid conditions, any anomalies they find, etc. Grant was great in setting this up and Misty is super knowledgeable, takes the time to share insights and answer questions, and her approach with customer is fantastic. While I live too far away to be a regular, Id recommend this shop to anybody in the area based on my experience.
I would highly recommend this the next time you need your car serviced. The entire experience was smooth and informative. Before any repairs were made they provided a detailed report with photos for all the issues they found. Misty talked me through every item highlighting the issues I had brought up when I dropped off the car and the issues that could have an affect on vehicle safety. I never felt pressured to do any of the recommended repairs. Its also nice to have the report so I can monitor these issues going forward. They kept me updated on the status of my repairs and had no issue with me leaving my car an extra night after repairs were complete.
Wonderful place for pre-purchase inspections! Very thorough, they called and went through their 14 PAGE checkup and analysis and included photos of any issues. Was a bit pricey at 140 but for the quality of check it’s totally worth it. I will highly recommend this shop to anyone. I wish I got my other pre-purchase inspection here as well.
Got my sway bar bushings replaced here and the did a great job. A year later, theyre going strong.
This is by far and above the best automotive shop I have ever worked with. Everyone is knowledgeable and friendly and helpful. I trust them completely for advice and service and I dont think I have ever said that about anything involving car repair :)
Highly recommend! Alex was great and handled everything that I needed right away and in a great timely matter! Will definitely be back in the future 😌
Misty and the team at Strictly Automotive are exactly what I was looking for when searching service options for my 2001 Subaru Forester. My car is a money pit and Im planning to buy a new one later this year and dont want to put anymore unnecessary expense into this one if I dont have to. Misty didnt waste my time trying to sell me on expensive repairs I dont need or want. She clearly explained the things that were wrong or going wrong on my Subie and she leveled with me about the things that need to be done to be safe while willingly dismissing other repairs that arent vital to keeping my beater on the road. I really appreciated Mistys honesty, careful explanations (in laymans terms), and overall friendly and helpful attitude. Ill definitely be going back to Strictly Automotive in the future.
My wife took her jeep here, they where able to accommodate us and got the job done in a professional and timely manner. Definitely will be returning for more service in the future.
After the immediate inspection report I was told I need a slew of repairs totaling a bit over 2 grand. This was devastating and unexpected. After taking the inspection report to another shop it was clear this was a giant upsell. I personally replaced my air filter a month ago, and that was on the list of replacements. Fortunately my brakes dont need to be replaced after all. The quality of work MAY be good, which is why I picked them in the first place. Do not go there without the work in mind because they will try to upsell you.
Best mechanic Ive ever had. In a world full of cheap, deceitful car service Strictly Automotive goes out of there way to provide comforting hospitality and top notch work. When I brought my vehicle in for a simple tire change and alignment Strictly recognized a problem that my insurance improperly fixed after an accident. I took my car to two separate mechanics prior and they ignored this issue. They then held onto my car for weeks while communicating with my insurance to make them pay for their poor work in the past. Kate and Misty are extremely nice and helpful for any issues you may have and communicate very well. I would highly recommend visiting this shop regardless of your make, model or the particular issue you may be having.
Amazing customer service! Misty was very informative and explained everything to me in detail. I went in for a break change and they did a full inspection on my car and let me know what needs to fixed. My breaks were at a good price being I was being overcharged else where! It’s super helpful they have someone who gave me a ride to work and picked me up! Kate was very nice the whole time! Everyone there did amazing and I didn’t feel like I was being taken advantage of for not having much knowledge in cars. So happy to finally have found somewhere I can take my car in the future.
Affordable, upfront about everything they keep you updated every step of the way and great customer service
Strictly Automotive serviced my Subarus since the 90s. Recently returned w our newest auto and glad that we did. Happy that it is still around, but was shocked to see all the apartment buildings surrounding it now. We hope it will be there through the life of this Subaru too.
Best Mechanic shop I’ve used. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. Misty and Kate explained their concerns about my car and let me know what was a priority and what could wait till my next service also explaining it in a way I could understand. I feel confident about bringing my car as well as my families vehicles to Strictly Auto. I started coming to this strictly a few years ago and have recently moved but I will continue to use strictly automotive because it is worth the drive because it is hard to find a great shop that you can trust. Highly recommend using this shop.
I am very happy with everything Strictly has done for me! I appreciate the fact that they use OEM parts and never cut corners. The staff here is extremely helpful and always listen to my concerns. I have NEVER had any issues with pricing or service, I know what Im paying for and that gives me piece of mind! I am always grateful that I receive their 2yr 24k mile coverage on their repairs.
Wonderful establishment, couldnt be anymore happy with the promptly service, and quality work
I was way over quoted to have my brakes done. Thankfully, I called to get a second opinion and Sams Automotive was able to do it $450 cheaper. I will never be taking my car back here again. The service is good, everyone is polite but the fact that they were overcharging that much is pretty unbelievable. If you do take your car here call and get a second opinion somewhere else, you may be able to save some serious cash!
My 14-year-old Subaru needed quite a bit of work. Kate and Misty who work the front office, were both extremely helpful in prioritizing the list based on safety and expense. They answered all my questions -- even the dumb ones -- and explained everything I needed to know to make the best decisions. They helped me compare their numbers with a second opinion I had gotten from another mechanic. I was impressed with the depth of their technical knowledge and thankful for the way they expressed a personal interest in helping me. Strictly Automotive has earned my complete trust and confidence.
Wonderful place to have your car repaired and be back to life again. The mechanics are wonderful. Highly recommended.
Literally worst place to get work done. They quoted me a $2000 job that ended up being a $100 job at a different mechanic, to have the other mechanic tell me that they didnt even look at the parts that they claimed were wrong. They turned a $100 starter job into a $2000 flex plate replacement. NEVER EVER EVER EVER COME HERE. Id rather have a homeless crackhead fix my car.
Went to this shop multiple times after hearing good things and even recommend it to others. Just recently my mercury sable stopped starting and after towing it to strictly was quoted $2100 for new starter and felxplate effectively totalling the car. I sold it on Facebook marketplace broken only for the buyer to call me back a day later saying the flex plate was in perfect condition and the only thing wrong with the car was a bad starter. He straight up told me he felt horrible for my situation and to avoid going back to the mechanic as they were ripping me off. He also said they clearly didnt even check the flex plate and it was in perfect condition. This meant what could have been a DIY job or worst case $500 (starter is only $50) was turned into a $2100 one. Please dont support dishonest mechanics like this. This experience has left me feeling sick and saddened especially considering this mercury was my first car that belonged to my grandma and I babied it to no end. If you need somewhere to take your car avoid strictly automotive
GREAT customer service! Jeremy and Misty were extremely informative and went above and beyond in helping me not only to understand the present issues with my Subaru, but also prioritizing the recommended work that should be done and by when. To top it off, the prices seemed more than fair. I truly felt taken care of and NOT taken advantage of! It feels great to finally have a local automotive shop that I know I can count on in the future.
This place is the best! Great mechanics and reasonable price. I brought my daughters Subaru Brat in to get fixed, after someone broke in took a part from the engine. They took care of the car. I will be using them again.
We have taken our 2008 Subaru and received nothing but trustworthy advice and excellent service. Jeremy and Misty are extremely knowledgeable and accommodation for all of our repairs! I would highly recommend this place for any Subaru owner. You will have peace of mind that the job was done right!
The only reason Im giving 2 stars is because the service and personal were great. Unfortunately, I will never go back though. I was quoted at over $900 for brake and rotor replacement and ended up getting the front changed with them, paying about $400 and waited to do the back. After this experience, I spoke with a family member who is a mechanic and he informed me that not only was I being way over charged, but my rotors didnt even need replaced. He did the job for less than $30.
Straight forward, no fuss mechanic shop. Replaced my parts all original with my Kia timing belt among other things. Best price too. Would recommend to anyone needing honest work done.
Jeremy and Misty are the real deal. They are super friendly and always looking to help. Jeremy is beyond knowledgeable with Subarus, and has offered expert advice numerous times, never expecting anything in return. They do things the right way, and treat you like a friend. Highly recommend.
Awesome place to do business with, was recommended here by the guys at Phone Repair and More up the street.
Good shop thats straightforward with pricing and explains everything clearly, but lacks some attention to detail.I usually do all the work on my cars, but when I need specialty equipment I take them to a shop. I took my Subaru here for an alignment and tire mounting. The work was quick and the front desk was helpful with the results. However, I found that 2 of the 3 bolts that hold the skidplate under the car were either not replaced or fell out (the third was loose), which was disappointing. And the tire mounting machine produced a number of scuffs on the wheels. The shop repaired one wheel, but I had to buy some touch up paint for the other wheels. In short – great shop for quick, fair work, but dont expect your car to be babied.
So I came in to strictly automotive a couple times. EVERY time I was in the shop they didn’t seem to sure about what the main issue was! Being a woman Not knowing anything about cars I completely trusted the shop and felt like everything I was told was true. Now feel like I was totally taken advantage of:( $600 later and still having the same issue. Not Cool Guys!!!
Fast and professional service. The person I spoke to, Kate I think, proactively told me about what the technician had seen and what work had been done. She told me what was good, what needed watching, and exactly where to look for it. Thank you Strictly!
I brought in what looked to be a great 08 V8 4Runner with ~98k miles. Was told by a wonderful woman named Misty to run, not walk away, from this vehicle turns out the rust damage was atrocious and un-fixable among other defects. It was not reported by the local dealership when I first went to pick up the car.She then gave me more than my moneys worth of tips to use when picking out used cars which helped me quickly land my dream car not too far down the road after the first inspection.Bottom line is I will be going back to Strictly Auto for all inspections / maintenance moving forward, based on how honest Misty and the other workers at the shop were. Thanks again,Erik H
I have been going to Strictly Auto to service my Subaru for years. They make bringing my car in easy (drop off in the morning and pick up after work). They do good work and they do not pressure you into anything.
Absolutely Honest, and the customers best interests are put first. Theyll level with you about what repairs you probably should do now and what can wait. No pressure, great work, great service. If you have a subaru I dont know why youd go anywhere else.
These guys have been great to me for years. If you own a used Honda or Subaru, I highly recommend you see these guys. They are very busy for a reason, they are good people, and they get it done for a reasonable price.
Thank you for excellent service! You do an extra good job making the experience pleasant.
Was quoted $950 to get my DISTRIBUTOR replaced. I did it myself for the price of the part ($50) in under hour from YouTube. You tell me !!!
Great staff, very friendly, honest and helpful. By far THE BEST PRICE I could find in town for a major service for my 09 Legacy. Took it there a few years ago for that and now I take all our cars there.
This is the best shop I have had the pleasure to have taken my car to. I recommend strictly automotive to all my friends and family
I service all my cars here I will have to say they are honest and are very hardworking I wouldnt take my cars anywhere else
I brought my car here for the first time to get an oil change. I walked out with a $60 bill -- $10 of which I didnt approve. Yes, the extra few bucks was necessary, but I thought someone may have called first just to double check before they made the repair?Despite the higher price tag, the one thing that irked me the most was they had to use my vehicle to transport me back and forth from the shop to work. In total, 3 round trips were made by the time all was said and done. Apparently they had given their only company car to another customer to use as a rental? When I asked if they could drop my vehicle off to avoid the additional trips, they explained their werent two people available to do so. My work is only 1-mile away... youre telling me that you couldnt pull one person away for a total of 10 minutes to make it more convenient for your customer?Upon my arrival, the shop owner/manager was sitting at the desk looking very... not busy... and spitting chew into an empty soda bottle... gross. Although it seems like they completed a thorough inspection, it really was the lack of customer service that warrants three stars. They didnt even offer to give me a discount for the inconvenience and additional miles put on my vehicle. Probably wont be coming back... first impressions count and Strictly sadly failed.Delete review
These guys have kept my 1998 Subaru Impreza Outback running strong! I cant believe its going to be 20 years old this coming year. Thanks Strictly Automotive!
These guys have always been great to me, honest and straight forward. They dont take advantage of my ignorance of automotive repairs and are transparent about what really needs to be done vs what can wait.
My car was in an accident, and I called Strictly Automotive to inquire about getting an estimate for a repair. In all, I called about 30 shops in the area -- and Strictly was, BY FAR, the most difficult to work with. From the moment the woman answered the phone ( I think her name was Kate), the entire experience was sour.Just asking basic questions was a struggle with her. The process at Strictly Automotive was so difficult that I almost hung up on her. But, since the shop was close to another body shop, I figured Id swing by both shops to get a competitive estimate. Strictly didnt even come close to making onto my list of possible shops to consider. When I arrived, the woman at the front desk told me that it would cost $120 just to have a technician look at the car (another shop took five minutes to come up with a quote -- and it was FREE).I told her that, in the the two long, drawn out, unpleasant phone calls Id had with her, that she didnt bother to inform me of the standard $120 fee just to have someone look at the car.I didnt want to pay that fee, so I drove to another shop and got an immediate estimate. And it cost me nothing.Strictly, get rid of the woman who answers the phone. Shes gonna hurt your business. In fact, she already has!
Courteous, honest, and quick. Seems like a rarity with business lately. They continue to shine.
Great staff. Very attentive. Very prompt and responsive. Total integrity.
These folks helped me understand and prioritize the work I needed done to my car. Much appreciated!
Helpful staff. Was recommended by a coworker and felt like they were honest.
These guys are great! I took in my 99 OBS that needed a clutch and tranny rebuild along with a few other things. Not only were they super honest about what needed to be done, they went to bat for me against the extended warranty company and got all the labor fees covered for both jobs. As far as im concerned, the effort was above and beyond. Ill be going back for sure!
First off, let me say, I bought a lemon. The guy who sold us the car had it bandaged pretty well to get it through about 10 days, then the fun started. I took the car in and was given some pretty bad news about its condition. You might think that this could be a shop just yanking my chain, but when the car was up on the lift, you could clearly see what they were talking about. Some people would have offloaded the car onto someone else, but I have a conscience, so that was not a possibility. Greg the owner, Corey and Steve (before he left), have been there the whole way from major repairs to nitpicky annoyances.I have been in this shop enough to know that they do good work and when something goes wrong with a job, they make it right. Ex: My clutch was going out and I had it replaced when it finally got so stiff that I was getting leg cramps from trying to shift. When I got the car back, I noticed that something with the clutch wasnt right immediately. I took it back and they checked it out. After a couple of days the problem got worse. They replaced everything again under the warranty that they give. I do feel like their prices are high sometimes, but sometimes you get what you pay for. If you want to pay the price of a Backyard Mechanic, then take your car to a Backyard Mechanic. Also, if you have questions, they will SHOW you what is wrong with the car and explain why it is wrong. I have also had estimates from them and they have been consistent. They arent all over the place as another reviewer stated. If you have your car serviced there, they will keep a log of problem areas for you and they will check on things and let you know when the problem becomes critical and needs immediate attention. They are friendly and nice and they stand by their work.
Honest about what needs to be done now and what can wait. Happy to have found them.
These boys and girls are Old School mechanics who have kept up with the tech. I will keep bringing my 08 Forester to them for years to come.
Kind, quick, informative, affordable service. Cant be beat!
I had a oil leak, which they worked on and at the same time up-sold me to replace my timing belt due to the high mileage on my car. About a year later (after their workmanship warranty), I broke down on the highway and had my car towed to a Subaru dealership in Colo Springs. They told me the timing belt broke and destroyed a lot of parts in the engine and the repair was quite costly. The dealership mechanic said it didnt look like my belt was replaced at all. I thought these guys were honest, but I will never take my car to them again. Ever!
Got an oil change and evaluation; they returned a very thorough list of problems and service was very helpful.
Excellent service! They were professional, friendly and did a very good job.
I am an ASE certified master technician, I was hurt in an accident and needed some work done. when I called for a quote I was very surprised to get turned down for not having my vin number. I was spoken to like a child when I asked why she needed a vin. If you need a vin to tell you how to do your job as a mechanic or customer service rep. for an automotive shop, You should not be working In this field alone. I would go elsewhere and I am. I know everything about my vehicle that needs to be known for the job I asked about. I am not here to personally bash the employee but she needs to learn how to do her job and no be so lazy. Having a vin is nice but not necessary. Just to make this clear, I had called 3 other shops and nobody needed a vin.
Great place. Ive taken two Subarus there over the course of a decade or so.
They said theyd call me back and nothing. Poor experience on my behalf 🤨
Fast friendly service and Misty is awesome and very knowledgeable
Polite, efficient, and fair.
Honest fair and expert!
Fast friendly service I can afford
A great place to get used parts
I will never take my care here again and have advised everyone I know to avoid this place as well. They misdiagnosed my vehicle 4 times, gave me wide-ranging estimates that changed with every phone call, and ended up keeping my car for over 10 days after they performed 1 days worth of repairs. After they fixed my car, my check engine light was back on within a week and after taking it to a different auto body shop, found that they didnt even address the entire problem.Car problems are stressful and a pain in the butt, and these guys make it so much worse.
I took took my car here for a front end job. New wheel bearings, tie rods and break pads. After picking the car up 2 days later than I was told I could pick it up, I tried to drive the car down the street and when I let go of the steering wheel it pulled 2 lanes in under a second.I returned to address the issue that it needed an alignment and the OWNER told me an alignment wasnt needed. (trust me, after getting a new tie rods, you definitely do.)I got fed up and left after arguing for 10 minutes.I went to an actual Subaru dealership a few days later to get an alignment and their certified mechanic told me that all sorts of bolt were missing and a bunch of other parts were in the wrong place.I will NEVER take my vehicle here again. It was a waste of $1,200.
Honest and fair shop. Prices are not the cheapest, but its great to have a mechanic I can trust.
Professional, quality service
Great mechanics at a fair price
Staffs are very helpful
These guys are the best!
GOOD experience
Very rude.
Terrible customer service
Great mechanics
Honest Work
