The staff was very professional everytime i spoke with them, they kept me updated on the progress throughout the few weeks they had my vehicle. I had an engine rebuilt and so far its riding well with the power close to what i was hoping for, they told me after they find a distributor that the power should be where I want it to be.My only complaint would be at deliver my vehicle was very very dirty as if it was stored outside during a storm and my battery was dead and had to be jumped. I ended up buying a new battery the next morning because it needed a jump again.Other than those two things....i wouldve givwn them 5 stars, but I do plan on using them again for two other vehicles i have.

My Friends Honda Odyssey van broke down on the way to Wyoming. It blew a spark plug out, stripping its threads in the process. We were getting estimates of $4,000 to $7,000 dollars to repair or rebuild the engine. The fine people at DMG Auto repaired the damage for $400! The same day! Heros! Skilled and honest, too bad I can only give 5 stars!

These guys gave me a quick turn around on Subaru engines I gave them for head gaskets and reseal. Engine runs great now. Affordable labor prices and nice hardworking people!Next time Ill probably bring Subaru brand gaskets and seals with the engine instead of using aftermarket stuff from local auto parts stores.

Dropped my 2008 Suburban heads off to be inspected and cleaned they had them done and milled and back to me in just a few days, a week later I had them inspect the block, ended up needing new pistons, rings, honing cylinders, cam bearings and main bearings but work was done in about a week and at a fair price No issues after start up, any repairs from now on that are outside my comfort zone I now consider these guys my new mechanics. Job well done.

UPDATE BELOW: I tore apart the engine in my 1987 Pathfinder and needed help putting it back together. Many shops will not touch this as its a pain to find the parts after a customer organized the teardown their own way, so I was lucky to find DMG. They agreed to take it on and they got my truck up and running in the time-frame quoted. I noticed a persistent leak during the first month or so and brought it back. Since it was warranty work, I was worried I would be a low priority, but Daniel went out of his way to get me in immediately and he repaired/replaced the rear main seal that he determined was the cause. As a result, I trust them now with anything else that might come up during the warranty period and beyond. Thank you!!EDIT: Ive had a few sophomoric mistakes come to light since my rebuild. 1. Trans and engine oil was WAY overfilled. 2. Oil filter was put on too loose/incorrectly so was leaking. 3. My truck misfires, which I brought to their attention. Said it was the distributor cap. It is most def not.One more thing to be aware of, the 12000 mile/1 year warranty is PARTS only. Read the service agreement as they did not clarify this to me verbally. Overall, meh.

DMG Automotives work is of a very high standard! They were recommended by another mechanic who looked at our failed engine and said, This is a job for DMG. We towed our Toyota Highlander there and they resurrected this car to better running condition than when we bought it!Vinny talked us through every step, gave recommendations and estimates to make sure there were no surprises. Daniel is a master engine machinist and this engine now purrs and is powerful, running smoothly and dependably. Their work is solid and of a very high standard.Any engine rebuild is an investment; still, their price was better than the other estimates we had gotten. And it was quality we were looking for, which they definitely delivered! DMGs work is worth the investment! Highly recommend.

They replaced my clutch in my 2008 Jeep JK. It was done sooner the I expected and a great job! I waited for a couple months for this review and I recommend DMG to everyone that needs a great repair! I did bring the new clutch to them and they gave me no warranty on the part and that was expected. They are a honest repairshop and will get my business in the future!

Went to get some bushings pressed. Called them with only 10 minutes notice and only 30 minutes before they closed. They dropped everything to help me out and made sure the work was done (took them until 6:30). They had a great attitude about a very last minute and difficult job and were very helpful! Cant thank them enough!

I would like to share my personal experience with DMG Automotive.I came in to the shop due to an Engine Noise on my 2008 Chevy Silverado. Daniel the Owner took the best approach in handling the diagnosis effectively. He suggested he open up the engine up to better diagnose the sound. He found the problem and was able to save my Engine. Vinny the Service Manager was also excellent in updating me through the entire process. I highly recommend DMG Automotive for any auto mechanical needs they have the capacity and knowledge to fix any big or small problem.

In summary, these guys are great. Everything Vinny told me ended up being correct with no surprises. DMG reminds me of an old school neighborhood shop with the bonus of being able to do high end engine repairs. Even though I live about 60 miles from their shop I will use DMG for any major repair. I handle minor repairs myself.My 4-cylinder 2009 Ford Escape w/174,000 miles developed a misfire that I could not correct with new spark plugs, swapping ignition coils, or a new fuel injector. I bought an engine compression test kit and found low compression on one cylinder. I called 4 or 5 local shops and each of them recommended buying a used motor and doing an engine swap. I have taken good care of my car (synthetic fuel only w/regular oil changes) so I was reluctant to swap my engine that I suspected was in good condition with an unknown engine. If you do the engine swap only the motor will be warranted (good luck getting the supplier to honor it based on my web searches), but no warranty on the labor which is 2 or 3 times the cost of the used motor. I believe there is a lot of fraud on the reported engine miles on used ones. I originally planned to take the head off and take it to a shop for machining and a valve job. This is a fairly major repair that is probably on the edge of my abilities, plus I could not find the time to do it and needed to get the car running. I found DMG on another internet search, read the great reviews, dropped the car off on a Wednesday and had the car back the following Monday. I decided to replace the water pump, timing chain assembly, thermostat housing, and all fuel injectors. Vinny took a picture of the cylinders and told me the lower half of the engine looked excellent. For a similar price as an engine swap Ive got essentially a new engine. DMG provides a 1-yr, 12,000 mile warranty on the work, too. I couldnt be happier.

The team at DMG Automotive correctly diagnosed, and repaired my vehicle by replacing a defective fan clutch. They also, serviced my AC; all at a very reasonable cost. Additionally, they corrected a rattling noise at no extra charge. I always engage a new service experience with some degree of anxiety and skepticism. The people at DMG are the real deal! Again thanks for making my Pathfinder run like new.

WOW!!! DIfficult to find an automotive repair shop that cares about its customers like these guys do.My brakes failed late on a Friday afternoon on way home and need to find someone guickly to get the repairs done. I searched the internet and found DMG Automotive. They had very good ratings and thought I would give them a try. Difficult to find a shop that will not rip you off.I used their online web site to seek an appointment. Keep in mind this is Saturday and they are closed. Thinking that I would be lucky to get in for repairs for week or two. Within 30 minutes I had a response telling that I could bring my car in on Monday 9 am. I immediately responded, I will be there.When I arrived, I met Vinny he assured me that he could he complete the work that day, WOW that blew my mind. After a phone call to explain the cars breaking issues he quoted me a price that was reasonable for the amount of work he had to do. I returned to DMG later in the day. Car was done and ready as promised. Vinny took it for a test drive and was not satisfied that the car did not have other breaking issues. He explained the soft breaking peddle problem and advised to bring it back and he would repair. He advised me that all would work safely until I could get back.Came back week later and all issued solved. They stayed beyond closing time by 2 hours to get the job done.Thanks Vinny!!!!Vinny showed me all the woren out parts they replaced and explained all the worked they did on the car.Very HONEST auto repair shop.
