Loved this place! Some stuff was expensive, but I found a few deals. If I was from CO, I probably would have bought more stuff. Great selection. Found some brands Ive not seen before and am excited to try!

Great local art supply store with materials for about every art form you can think of. The staff is also super knowledgeable and helpful. I know you can order art supplies online, but I would much rather A) see them in person, and possible even try them out first; and B) support a local business thats been here like as long as Denver has.

I like to shop at this store. However, I remove a star because the design of the stairs is disturbing for people who have visual sensory, and ASD. Also its hard to focus when you go down even for neurotypical people!

The people here were super nice and kind. They helped me look at stuff and recommended the best options. It is full of very helpful tools in art, very recommended for most people. Pricey but worth it. The cashier was super sweet and there were make your own bags. Definitely a five star.

I did not have enough time to discover all they have to offer from drawing, painting, and more. So much more. I fell in Love immediately. Everyone was friendly, and helpful unlike some arts and crafts stores.

Good place to do business. Bit disconcerting to see a male clerk in a skirt. Felt a bit uncomfortable as am use to clerks groomed and dressed appropriately.The female clerk/ associate who waited on me was very knowledgeable and professional.But I suppose its a generational thing and this is a,store for mostly artists, and one knows artists are unique and strange if not insane.

I had been wanting to go here for years and never really got the courage to do so. Then I started getting into watercolor and wanted to get some nice supplies. This place is a dream come true for artists of all levels! They have an amazing selection of artistry mediums from acrylics to watercolors and oils and so much more! The best part is that they also have a wide range of prices for products to fit any budget you may be targeting. I visit here at least weekly to stock up on more supplies and check out what they have in stock. It’s such a cool place and I get so much joy from going!

I used to go to another store to get my supplies and most of the time they didnt have what I need it but someone suggest to me that I should try this store and I dont regret it, this store is really good, they had everything I needed and the prices were way better than those other big stores, definitely Meiningers is my favorite place to get my supplies from now on and unlike those other stores, the staff here was really nice and helpful, we definitely love the experience shopping here!!

Two levels packed with a great variety of art supplies, from professional to student grade, and even a cute gift area.Some parking on the south side, noteworthy in that part of town.This is a great place to find somewhat unusual and higher quality materials, try out individual pencils, pens, etc., and get good advice. Its so much better to see and touch colors, surfaces, and tools, and talk to people that understand them, rather than try to choose online.This store is a true rarity, complete with a bit of price discounting, and little things, like packaging your paper so itll get home safely, even to states like Oklahoma, where theres no cool art store like this.

I absolutely love this store! My husband and I have moved to Denver recently and I was so happy to find this local art store. I spent more than one hour looking at different pencils, brushes, paints, easels and other items. The staff is very friendly and helpful. This place is just a paradise for artists. I found everything I needed and even more. I was inspired to try a new technique in my paintings.

Very helpful in wrapping a gift for my one of my partners who had imbibed too much at a gathering of mine over the weekend and had not had a fun time. The personal but professional looking touch was perfect. I appreciated getting their artistic input and help.

Absolutely love the place! More than you could collectively see and process in a days time. Has become number 1 spot for all art supplies.I do however think that 5pm is a little early for closing.... Especially because they are closed on Sundays. Even if they were only open a little later a couple days/nights out of the week.Also they show tutorial-ish videos that are great but there is not true mention of the actual products that are being used.Can make it kinda hard to try new products or techniques.

This place is amazing! A little pricey but totally worth it. I had to buy sheets of paper and they wrap it for you so I wont get damaged. Staff here is great. Being from a small town I was blown away by this place, pens with tracking devices, $250 paint brush, you name it!

This place has sooo many different products for a multitude of different art techniques and modalities. The staff is on point and generally real friendly. I suspected items at Meiningers were more expensive than online/other stores, as it just has that nice specialty retailer, with knowledgeable-staff, kind of vibe. However last time I was in, I spot checked the items I was about to purchase and quickly discovered every item was either within a few cents as other retailers online, or cheaper (one item, by $10+!). In this day and age, a local brick&mortar like Meiningers is a bit of a unicorn, and Im proud to support them whenever I can.👌

I purchased a Speedball 20 scoop coater - the absolute worst product ever. Neither edge made smooth contact with the screen spilling emulsion and leaving large skips in the application. What should have taken 15 minutes took over an hour and a big waste of emulsion. I respect Meiningers but you should not be selling this product. I live an hour away from your Denver store so returning this piece of garbage is not worth the effort. I ended up using my too short Ryonet scoop coater...amazing difference in quality. Ryonet makes excellent products all the way around.

If your looking to get creative with the highest quality art supplies then shop here and especially if you want to invest in yourself. the last piece i created using their paints and brushes turned out sublime. I mainly use golden brand paint, liquitex brand for their flow aid and glazes, and liquitex for their basics acrylic fluorescent neon colors.

This is an artist and drafters shop for all supplies but it is also a shop for fun knick nacks, writing material, puzzles and small toys. I shop here for odd cards and goofy presents. Worth wandering around in.

If you have any need at all to get something from an art store, go here. This place is perfect. I used to walk around Blick like a kid at a candy store, but this place became my new confectionery. Last time I was there, I purchased a fountain pen from their great selection and had a wonderful person help me with the purchase. Seriously, go here, find something that looks interesting, and start a new hobby. I think right now they are only offering curbside pickup, but I would still buy any art supplies I needed here.

Amazing service, I came in to buy a fountain pen and I can’t express how much I appreciated all the help from the sales associate. I didn’t know much about fountain pens and he set me up with everything I needed and got me in and out with all my questions answered.I wish I had asked for that associate’s name, he had long hair and was wearing a beanie. 10/10 job he did in my opinion.

I recently started using fountain pens again, and looked for a place that sold them in the Denver area. I am very glad that Google put HR Meininger in the results.Not only do they have an amazing amount of pens and ink (along with myriad other art supples), they actually know the products they sell...and you can talk real-time to a human. :-)We will be back. :-)

This is my go-to art store. It has a bit more character, a bit more flair than other art stores. This is mostly due to the doodads and gewgaws, the gizmos and gimcracks, the knick-knacks and trinkets. The cool stuff! There are lots of fun items, in other words, for kids. Or for the kid in every one of us. To put it another way, there is everything you need for any kind of artwork you would like to make... and then some. Also, the stores wares (whether adult or otherwise) are displayed and arranged in a rather artistic style. Other art stores are more utilitarian and business-like, but Meiningers is fun and occasionally surprising. I have sometimes been shopping when theyve had demos at the store, and Ive noticed a comfortable, enjoyable atmosphere to such events. The staff are nice and helpful.Addendum: I have now decided that Meiningers, while closer to my home, is pretty evenly matched by Guirys, their chief rival. Both stores are, well, fun and cool. Ill continue to look for evidence that will allow me to form a definitive preference!

This may not be the largest art store in the world, but it is the largest in Colorado. On top of having incredible selection of... well, everything, they have great staff that are knowledgeable and super friendly. They helped me find a good present for my mom when all I knew is that she painted.

A little pricey but very good selection and super awesome employees. Some dude named Jon helped me and homeboy knew his sh!t. Blew my mfing mind how smart that dude was.

Great spot for art tools and materials of all kinds.However PLEASE consider upping in the stained glass or any sculptural department. :) there are options for mosaic materials but it would be nice to have some glass options!

I LOVED THIS STORE!!! A friend at the art studio I attend mentioned that they got a new marker from here and I didnt recognize the name of the place. They were flabbergasted and told me I NEEDED to check it out. Oh, I did, and I brought home some awesome things and have a wishlist for a future return trip too. Large selection of quality high end art supplies. They have such a great selection of canvases. It might have just been the day but the employees seemed a little hard to find/engage with on the first floor. Second floor staff was super attentive.

Meiningers is a Colorado staple. I learned at a young age that if you want to buy someone a gift, go to Meiningers and youll probably find something for anyone.Need art supplies? You cant do better than Meiningers. You can get ANYTHING there. Air brushes, screen printing, canvasses, paints (all), charcoals, easels - the list goes on. Its the best.

Real nice art store in Denver with good parking on weekdays. Great selection of japanese made fine liners, paper and journals/notebooks. I found a lot of Windsor Newton series 7 brushes, which have been in short supply lately. Happily surprised to find Blackwing pencils also; a brand Ive been dying to try out. Thanks for keeping us stocked on art this winter!

Big store with an even bigger selection. My favorite area in the store is the graffiti supplies section. Tons of spray from Montana including 94, gold, pocket cans, and effect sprays like UV, glow in the dark, glitter hologra, crackle, metallic.. They also have Molotow cans, mops, markers and other mops and markers from Krink including the pump sprayer.

I have been shopping at Meiningers for years and have always been able to get whatever I need as far as art supplies go. Being to the fountain pen hobby, I recently came in at the recommendation of a friend to pick up a converter for a vintage fountain pen. Patty is the stores fountain pen expert and went above and beyond to help me get exactly what I needed to get my pen back in shape!

This place is like a candy store for artists and creative individuals. I could get and have gotten lost in this store for many hours having a great time...until i realize im broke and cant afford most of the overpriced merchandise sold here. Still really great store. And they have some hilarious buttons for wearing on yer clothes. Pic related.

My favorite art supply store. Service and staff are knowledgeable and phenomenal. They have so many options. We love getting out chalk supplies here, but also great for photography supplies as well. I wouldnt go to any other art store.

What more could you possibly need in an art supply store? Their collection of Leuchtturm1917 is the best in the area which I cant get enough of (literally, I have too many). Staff is awesome and offered to wrap a poster for me when they noticed how I was clumsily carrying it around. Definitely my go-to stop for acrylics and brushes as well as their extensive collection of Posca pens. Anyone into art or crafting will be enamored by this place.

I would say this is a beautiful art shop an I would recommend this place to anyone the workers help a lot an really cared to get me what I needed an the quality in the product they have is amazing definitely going back.

One of the best art stores around by far. They have a very wide selection of not only items but they have the biggest selection as far as different types of crafts and art techniques go. They also have much more items for advanced crafting and art techniques etc. everyone is so helpful and friendly. A bit over priced though. Be prepared to spend quite a bit of money but it’s worth it.

Everything an artist needs is here. We needed extra large paper for a charcoal drawing and they not only had it but wrapped it perfectly so it stayed pristine. Awesome place.

This is the go-to art supply store in Denver. We needed a few art supplies for some projects, and -- as always -- they had what we needed. Note: they are limiting the number of people in the store at one time, so you might have to wait outside if you choose to go at a busy time. And or course, properly-worn masks covering mouth and nose are required at all times in the store and waiting outside to get in.
