Great map store with fun staff. Good prices too!
Ive tried to come here twice now from out of town and they have been closed despite the hours online saying theyre open.
My middle school students were studying geography unit and we took a walking tour in downtown Denver. I found the Old Map Gallery store online and read their great reviews. I thought my students would get a great experience by touring the store. The owner was very accommodating. Not only he welcomed us inside the store, he let students to touch some of his maps. Also, he prepared a great presentation for kids. We are so thankful that he shared with us his knowledge and inspired kids to like geography. Students were so excited to see different types of maps, especially the old ones. Thank you!
Great and unique selection of authentic maps. Check out this location to see some historical art!Prices are decent, given the product being purchased.
This place was the greatest store I visit in Denver and possibly ever. The staff is very friendly and super helpful, willing to go above and beyond to find what you are looking for. The collection is vast, that anyone that has any interest in any era and any area will find something they are looking for. I can not overstate how wonderful this place was and I only wish I could of stayed long in order to completely look at the collection. Do yourself a favor and visit this store if you are ever even near Denver.
Awesome store. Owner is super friendly and very knowledgeable. Obviously a pretty niche market, the business name says it all. But if youre looking for old maps, there might be no better place in the country.
Two years ago we got off the Train on our way to California and decided to explore the Union Station area of Denver. My 10 year old son and future cartographer had to go in. He was amazed buy the collection. The owner talked to him and was so encouraging. He gave my son a map of early Frontier America. Fast forward Two years the now 12 year old has made the state finals in the National Geographic GeoBee. Thank you for encouraging our son. The map is a prized possession.
My Lovely Wife & I went into this shop and were very impressed by both the owner and the contents of his shop. Mr. Bird had an excellent and very friendly attitude toward us. We very happily bought an Aviation Map of Los Angeles and a charming map of Chicago. All in all I would most highly recommended doing business with this first rate outfit when you are in Denver or on line.
Came in recently with an odd request, but they spent 30 minutes looking for something that would fit my project just right. Very impressed with their helpfulness!!
Curtis runs an iconic Denver spot--the Old Map Gallery provides a wide variety of historical maps, charts, and documents that can bend the mind and widen the imagination. 10/10 would recommend.
The owner is immensely knowledgeable and super friendly. Helped me find a beautiful map that Id surely not find anywhere else. Very satisfied with the experience and the purchase!
Not sure what drew us in here, as my wife and I have never gone into a map store before. We walked out having purchased a super fun 1930s tourist map of London. This store had so many fun maps from all over the world. Whenever we go back to Denver, this will be one of our first stops.
No place to park when I did finally get a hold of the owners he was rude and they said weekend to beat wear clothes and then they said the sign said they was open they are dated me wasnt Cooperative it all theyre they are not helpful I had some old maps that I was going to have him look at and see what days were stand he wouldnt even talk thats all
This is a solid place with a large selection of maps. The owner was very friendly and extremely helpful. I highly recommend checking this place out.
Super helpful staff. These guys really know their maps
Very friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and quick guys. i recommend them.
This was honestly my favorite stop in Denver. I love antique maps and globes on a level that is probably unhealthy and this guy had so many maps I was in heaven. I spent way more than I should have here lol
Fascinating place to stroll through some very interesting maps.
We found it while exploring Lodo and loved it so much we have made it a destination for when we go into denver. Great service and collection.
The perfect place for anyone who loves old maps, either for purchasing, or just for browsing.
Its a nice place to chat people here about the change of the hometown.
This is a must visit in Denver. Not only is the owner nice and knowledgable, his stock is quite impressive.
