Oh wow this is the vegan place to go to in Dallas! I was visiting for the weekend and came here twice because the food was so good and the ambience was really positive and upbeat. Really creative menu. First day I got the gluten free pancakes, sausage, Mac and cheese and home fries. Next day I got the Beyond Chikn Tenders sandwiched between two pancakes and melted cheese. Everything was delicious!!!! The ingredients are fresh, flavorful, clean and high quality. Excellent customer service, best to make reservations in advance on the website so it guarantees a table with minimal waiting. For dessert I got the chocolate chip cookies. I wish they had something like this in New York.
I am pretty new to a plant based diet, and I was very excited to try Spiral Diner. During this time where every restaurant is short staffed we did have a small wait BUT the staff made us feel very comfortable and welcome while waiting and as soon as we sat down we were very impressed! The nachos were the best! Pretty competitive to non vegan nachos if you ask me! I also had a breakfast plate and a delicious iced mocha with almond milk. Everything was delightful and I can’t wait to come back soon!
A cute diner feel but everything is vegan, and VERY, VERY good. I still cant believe how bomb the Buffalo chicken nachos were! 😩 definitely wasnt that weird off tasting vegan cheese that some places like using. I just wish they had more dessert options! Wasnt anything too exciting offered for dessert unfortunately. But I definitely would go back to try more of the menu.
Ahhhh what a great place. Employees were all kind and friendly. Definitely has an old school diner atmosphere. Their menu is huge, so it was hard figuring out what to order! I suggest getting the nachos jr because it was just as big as the larger sized nachos. The cashew quinoa patty was super good, as was the pasta salad. Only downfall is that the shake we got was made with soy milk, and that wasn’t listed so on the menu. I should have asked what kind it was, because this girl is mildly allergic to soy milk, oops! It tasted so good but obviously this was a disappointment, more on my half than the diner. It did take a while to get our food out, but 10/10 would go back.
LOVE. LOVE. LOVE!!! Omg I love this place!! The food is so delicious and I havent stopped thinking about it since I visited last year in 2020. I cant wait to come back. Our waitress was one of the kindest, authentic waitresses I have ever met. My mom is hard of hearing so she was kind enough to give her recommendations and treated her like if she was her aunt. She wished us safe travels and even gave my mom a hug when we left.
We entered the diner with high hopes of a quick seating but unfortunately on a Sunday evening it was packed. While my friend and I arent vegan we resisted the urge to leave after being told there was a 20-30 minute wait at around 6:58 p.m. and we took it as a sign of good food.-Mask mandate is effective.-Parking is a bit limited so we werent off to a good start yet I was a bit intrigued.Place smells great and feels very diverse and inviting.We sat down at 7:22All this for less than $60.Definitely worth it.
We were very excited to go here after the great reviews, but the food was cold, received coffee that was ordered at the beginning, after we were done eating, got orange juice instead of a mimosa and then was charged twice for the mimosa which I am still waiting on a refund. There are better vegan places out there. I would not come back, sorry. The only thing that was actually really good was the bacon. We were pretty disappointed.
Was hands down one of the best vegan diners Ive been too. It is a cute and cozy place with a retro 50s throwback kind of theme. They have a fairly limited menu but there is still plenty to choose from and something for everyone. I got a Jr nacho and a side of mac n cheese. I will say it blew all others out of the water.
First time visit: Making online reservations was a task at first but I was finally able to get one on Mothers Day. Got to the restaurant and our table was already ready and we were seated. It took some time for the waiter to get there to place our order,but the food was pretty good but some was salty and we had to ask other staff members for things we needed like: silverware and refills and etc....
When people think of Dallas vegan food, Spiral Diner is likely the first restaurant people think of!Vegan Tacos, Pancakes, Philly Cheesesteak, Burgers, Mac n cheese, Nachos, Quesadilla, Fries and Shakes.They serve breakfast all day. On weekends get there early because it’s always slammed! They have gluten-free options, too. Need to stop in for something quick or have a birthday to celebrate? Spiral Diner has baked goods in-house.Again, vegan food in Dallas is incomplete without a visit to Spiral.
Great diner for vegans.. if your looking for healthy alternatives & tasty this is the place. The nachos are fantastic & even the junior is a large portion.
The service was rough to say the least. It took about 15 minutes of waiting before we saw the first employee after being sat. Nobody ever introduced themselves as our waiter/waitress, and we had to wave that first employee down to take our drink order. It took another 10 or 15 minutes to get a water to our table, and I lost track of time waiting for the milkshake we ordered. They were at limited capacity and only every other table was sat, so they definitely were not over worked or crazy busy. Every single employee appeared to completely hate their jobs. Not only was the service terrible, but to say the food was disappointing would be an understatement. The bun on my wifes burger was burnt and too hard to chew without tearing your mouth up. And my Philly sandwhich was just some half burnt half uncooked tempeh. No onions, no bellpeppers, just inconsistenty. If youre eating here just cause its vegan Dont. Do yourself a favor and just cook for yourself; dont worry.. even if you mess it all up you will still be better off. It gets 1 star for the terrible service alone, but the food really concretes it. Just go somewhere else. Youre welcome.
Coming from East Texas, theres not a lot of restaurant options for vegan/vegetarian eating, and what we do, isnt impressive. Spiral was a breath of fresh air to say the least. We got there around 4 PM and there was only a 15 minute wait, which we were fine with.All of the staff was so friendly, the space was adorable, and the food was so good. I was almost bouncing in my seat from excitement before I even ordered, and then the food was so good I forgot to take a photo... I got the Dang Rhonda burger because I love breakfast, and my fianceé got the El Paso burger which she loved. We split a cookies and cream shake, and it was incredible. The straws are compostable, too. We saw a few other people get their food, too (Im looking at you, nachos), and the portion sizes were huge! We had trouble finishing ours, but there was no way we werent finishing it. Everything is worth the price, from how much you get, to the quality of the food.There was so much I wanted to try, we will definitely be coming back. Thank you so much for making such an amazing spot! I cant give this place enough praise.
Im from out of town and a friend of mine told me about this place. I read the reviews before coming and were good so I decided to check it out for myself. Im not pleased with my experience here at spiral. I ordered a protein plate and they brought it to me on a bed of brown lettuce. I also ordered a philly cheese steak and wasnt good at all (I sent it back) and I ordered grilled broccoli and they brought me steamed broccoli instead. My server was acting like a complete airhead. The atmosphere is pretty cool but the service and quality is not up to standard in my opinion. If youre paying these type of prices, the quality and service should reflect it. I wont be back.
Me and my wife just ate here and it was phenomenal! The staff were all super friendly and attentive. As for the food, the small nacho was huge and only $9, our meals were beyond amazing (protip, replace the special sauce with buffalo sauce on the philly mac 🤤) and the turtle brownie sundae was the most delicious thing ive ever tasted!
Natalie refused to let me sit by myself at a table near a window. There were only 5 tables occupied. I have been wanting to come here for years. Today, I had great hopes and they were all shot down by a host! I came from Fort Worth to be let down because Natalie did not want to confuse her only server. So sad.
I was in town for a Zumba event and needed something vegetarian or vegan. The menu looks like any diner, but it’s all plant based. I had migas. I closed my eyes and might have moaned a bit. It was wonderful. If I lived in town I’d go there frequently. It loses a star for lackadaisical wait service, but that might just be the times we are living in. You hire who you can get.

I typically love this place but my last visit was quite disappointing. There was an hour and a half wait for 2 people (normal for that time and day so I was prepared for that) what I was not prepared for was their lack of available food options. My friend and I went through 3 different food choices each before we were actually able to order something that was available. The service was impeccable a usual. Ill still go back because one bad experience wont ruin my love for this place. Hopefully the next time theyll be better prepared.Recommend for vegetarian/vegan lovers who enjoy good comfort food and a quirky, yet chill atmosphere.
Absolutely fabulous! The best vegan diner Ive ever been to. The food is BOMB. At a lesser place you might get a bland tofu scramble that needs to be covered in salt and pepper and hot sauce to get flavor but here you get a strongly flavored cheesy spice goodness that requires no extra garnish. The pancakes are flavored with cinnamon and nutmeg. The soy bacon is crispy and mapely...the best bacon Ive ever had. Theres a full assortment of baked goods to go that are cute and isntagrammable.Everything was so good I had a second meal on top of it. True to its diner identity the bacon ranch sandwich and potato chips took up my entire plate and there were enough for left overs.The staff was amicable and resolved an issue with my order quickly. They were attentive to my requests and even helped my fill my itinerary with local recommendations .
Very refreshing to be able to go somewhere and be able to order anything on the menu because it’s all vegan. Had lunch with my niece, (try the Mexican Hot Chocolate Cookie. ) The person that sat us was friendly and asked if we’ve ever been there, when I answered in the negative they let us know everything was 100% vegan. The waiter was very nice and checked on us without being pushy and bugging us while we ate.
Very sad experience at Spiral today. I had a beyond burger with chips on lettuce no bun because I’m gluten-free due to an allergy & sensitivity. That was great & the server Kenyon J. was attentive & great. So I decided that I wanted some nachos with this cashew cheese that I love right so I get it & they must of put only 2 teaspoons of cashew cheese on this big a?# bowl of nachos for $8.99. I asked for a little more cashew cheese & was told that I’d have to pay $3.99 for it. Now mind you I didn’t want a side of it. I just wanted a little bit more, & they wouldn’t accommodate that. So I politely said please remove the nachos from my bill, then manager comes over to ask me did I want it removed from my bill. I said yes please & thank you. The awesome server Kenyon J comes over I tell him, pay for my meal & tipped him some cash anyway because it wasn’t his fault that they have extremely poor management & customer service skills on management’s part. So sad they lost $8.99 plus some because I was gonna order a peanut butter milkshake too but oh well. I won’t be going back to Spiral anymore based on this horrible experience.
Well let me start off by saying the staff was very friendly and helpful the establishment was very clean this is an all vegan restaurant. I myself like meat and milk products but I have a daughter who is gluten-free and vegetarian, we both had the gluten-free pancakes I had one too which was blueberry and we had some chai latte made from almond milk which was very delicious all very delicious
Natalie I the goat! If you are fortunate to get her as a server you will not be disappointed. We have been to both the ft worth location as well as this Dallas location and they are both great! The food is always hot and freshly made when you order. It simply cannot be beat. My fiancee and I travel 45 minutes just to eat here. Be wary of long wait times this place is always Poppin so be sure to take advantage and call ahead for a table!
I’ve had have been the mail in the coffin for me.This last visit I ordered a turtle sundae and after a few bites I realized that the brownie was rock solid. They offered to replace the sundae and I declined because I had to go. I was then told they would charge me for ice cream “because some of it was eaten” 🤨 well obviously, but only a few bites because I was wrestling with this hard brownie! I couldn’t even get my spoon through it! The manager charged me $5.97 for three scoops of vanilla ice cream that I didn’t get to enjoy because that’s not what I ordered! Oh and they didn’t even have the pecans that come with the sundae as well. I will not be back nor will I recommend spiral again. This came off as very stingy and cheap of the establishment.
Stumbled into the place on accident while it was pouring rain. Never had vegan food before this. I was scared but too hungry to leave. IT WAS AMAZING. I loved every bite.
This was our first time visiting. I asked one of the employees of the food comes out lukewarm, she said yes. I love my food piping hot. If we werent so hungry I would have returned our selections ( potato grilled cheese. Nothing was melted on that joint. Lil nacho the cheese was cool not hot.) and moved onto somewhere else. This place is good for people who enjoys cold to lukewarm food. 1 start for cold food and 5 stars for the concept
Im not a vegan. Not even close, but I absolutely love this place! The service is always great and the food is always something new and gives me a totally different perspective on food. My daughter is vegan so we usually come here when I visit and I love it every time! You gotta try the biscuits! Phenomenal!
Use to love this place. Unfortunately, I’ll never be back. There was lipstick on the coffee cup I received it. When I sent it back, they made no attempt to remake it. I had no beverage throughout my meal. The server made no attempt to bring me AT LEAST a water.This place needs new management.
A 50s diner feel with American menu options that are all vegan. There is a drink menu available and is currently following covid guidelines with clear dividers and six feet apart seating. Our server. KENYON was so engaging and personable and answered all our questions and had a few laughs. It has the feel of a neighborhood diner where you can feel right at home with food that doesnt taste vegan.

Highly recommend Hells Half-Acre! Their Mac n cheese is AMAZING. I feel like most restaurants who have dishes, that involve cheese and that are vegan, really fail at making it both cheezy and flavorful. But Spiral did that.I hope to try more of their dishes!
Spiral is one of my favorite brunch spots in Dallas. I stopped in and was blown away by the variety on the menu. Id say my favorite dish was the pancakes, Ive never had them with agave nectar before and it was insanely good.
We arrived for breakfast and unfortunately were never greeted. We waited for a long while and the restaurant had 2 customers seated. We decided to leave because the waitress never asked what we wanted to drink. They need to work on customer service skills.
Vegan takes on American comfort classics. Spiral was delicious and VERY filling. The nachoes were phenomenal and they are a must order. Shout out to the super helpful server who helped us decide what to order. The Mac and cheese was also delicious and very convincing. Looking forward to returning and trying the milkshakes and desserts!

The food was good but the service was abysmal. It took forever for us to get a waitress to ask for our drink orders as well as food orders. I asked a waitress for a refill on my coffee and she ignored me I saw her look at me from the side when I asked. The staff was not very friendly and I would understand if they were busy as Ive worked in a restaurant before but a lot of the waitress were just standing around the bar talking to each other. If I were you I would go spend my money somewhere with better service.
Got the Chicken caesar with garlic bread and it was PERFECTION. BF got the bbq plate and literal tears came to his eyes since he thought hed never be able to have authentic Texas bbq ever again as a vegan. Excited to come back and explore even more of the menu!
Love love love Spiral. Aaron is always super caring with us. We’re excited for the expanded hours, as we have been wanting a vegan breakfast location that opens early in the day.Highly recommend the bacon ranch cheeseburger for non vegans. The vanilla ice cream is BOMB along with the cherry pie.

Okay vegan food, tofu scramble is very bland and could have a better taste. Great music!! The service could be better though. Both times that I dined in here recently it took forever for my waiter to come and even bring me some water or ask if I was ready to order. This time around my waiter was Libby, she wasn’t the friendliest nor did she seem interested in helping me with the menu or checking in on me. She had an attitude the whole time. Advice to management. Train your staff to provide better service to the customers that keep your business going.

The food was good and I especially love da gumbo and the macaroni and cheese is to die for (I had two orders of it)! The manager Tori was sweet and made my son and I first time experience nice!! Had a wonderful experience today because of my a waiter that wasn’t even my main waiter. His name was Tyler and was super helpful and knowledgeable about the food menu! Bunny bowl is my go to always but now I also love the cupcakes!
This was my first time here. Its a Vegan restaurant, Im not vegan... Yet! I got the bacon ranch burger with guacamole and chipotle mayo added! OH MY WORD!!!!!!!🤯 This burger was packed with flavor and so big, I could hardly get my mouth around it! I am EXTREMELY impressed with the food! I highly recommend this place for vegans, on the fence about becoming a vegan and non vegans... Thats everybody!!! You guys, its worth a visit! Its a little on the pricey side, but so worth it! Finally got the chance to stop in here with my lady on our road trip, it is hands down our favorite place to eat and we will be going back. So many items to choose from and everything is vegan! We decided to split the triple double (believe I got the name right, its the double burger between 3 grilled cheese sandwiches) Cant recommend enough. Everything from the atmosphere to the flavor of the food exceeded expectations. We finished up with a cookie sundae (one scoop each of vanilla and chocolate) that was absolutely. To die for!

Excellent service, delicious food, and clean restaurant. All the things that make a place great. Food was literally out of this world, I wish I lived closer and I would go weekly. The staff was super nice and everyone was cool.
I would have ordered so much more off the menu but I settled for what the server recommended which was the Nashville hot chicken sandwich! It was definitely good but I was hoping that the chicken was going to be a crunchy. It was definitely filling and tasty! I also ordered the chicken Caesar salad in an attempt to be healthy
This is my husband and I’s favorite location, we have been going here for almost 3 years and every single time we have an amazing experience. The servers are attentive and kind. Food is always fantastic and fresh! It is always a familiar place to go eat and everything go perfectly.I will say that on Monday July 12th, my husband and I decided to take his younger sister. We were super excited because she’s not vegan, but enjoys trying new vegan food. This was our only disappointing visit EVER. It was super weird because it was not packed like other times, but the lady at the front. An older brunette woman who we had never seen before started off by being rude, then wanted to seat us at a table. Which we never have gotten offered a table because most of the employees there know us. We decided to wait and she forgot about us, another employee came to tell us that it would be 25-30 minutes before we got seated so we sadly got up and left. That employee had really negative energy and like I said, it was not busy at all. Odd experience.I am hoping that never happens again. Still our favorite location to eat and we will be going back soon!
It was so busy when we got there, which is fine. Everyone was friendly. The food was good and filling. My corn tortillas werent warmed up thoroughly which is a huge bummer.
A hip vegan diner! We tried their Spiral Burger and BBQ Sandwich, both were good. A special thank you to the staff, because I accidentally left my phone on the table before leaving and didn’t realize until 30 minutes later. Thankfully they kept it for me!

The big stack cheeseburgers never disappoint and I bring friends that have never even considered a vegan diet and they tell me this is the best burger or best milkshake they have ever had! It’s truly that good. The nacho supremo won best in dallas by dallas observer multiple years not best vegan nachos just best nachos!! If you have not been to Spiral diner you’re missing out! 3 locations Dallas, Denton and FtWorth.
Small diner but great menu of various items to select from. ANAZING that everything is actually vegan. Prices are very reasonable (averaging 11-15 dollar per person. You get your own drinks which cost on average 2-4 dollars. They offer fresh grapes or oranges for fruit. They have vegan cakes that are large at a great price! Great for dating, families, meetings and eating solo. Clean restrooms also. Effective and genuine customer service towards guests. Expect 15-20 minute wait normally. Definitely recommended and suggested!!! ENJOY!
Amazing experience!!! The milkshakes are the best thing I have ever tasted in my life! So creamy, so good. The desserts are super yummy too. I loved it.

Foods good frito pie, carrot cake, grill cheese potato sandwich, potato salad, and cookies. Went with my daughter 1st time hair was on her plate. 2nd time her meatballs were cold and half cooked and never got condiments. I’d had the meatball sub and the texture was totally different from my daughters. Both times managers came to table and offer to fix it which is cool.I live close to the bishop arts district location but will not go back to that location. Hopefully I can get better service at another location. If I do I’ll give it 4 stars

Sorry manager is lame and rude as hell. Taking 45-1hr to acknowledge us and then made us feel uncomfortable about being there: we made a reservation last night but they weren’t even open. Manager with pruple hair and rude attitude ruins everything about this restaurant. Get new staff to take care of your customers because this is how you lose business.

Worst service ever!!!!! We called a day prior to and spoke with the manager to verify they would be open the next day prior, which we were told yes. We then attempted to call and place the order the next day and they refused due to being short staffed. They then told us we could come in and place the order, but of course that didnt work either. They then told us they are not accepting to-go orders. This has been an ongoing issue with them and they seem not to care and say there is nothing we can do. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!!!
You dont have to be Vegan to love this place. Pretty good selection of breakfast, lunch & dinner on the menu. Cant go wrong with the Nachos Supremo. This mountain of chips is definitely sharable, though it will hit the spot for a hungry solo diner.Maine Root cane sugar sodas, a couple types of tea, and a few coffees at the self serve drink station. Friendly staff, great table service.

Meh .. they purposely make food here terrible by hitting it all with Spicy mayo and other unnecessary finishings like black olives on a Cheese steak. It’s overpriced and the fancy hipster touch makes things worse not better. Why wouldn’t a diner have a Chicken fried steak? About the only positive things I can say is they have really good customer service and a good vibe. Food sucks sorry.

When I said I would just come in, the employee on the other end of the phone stated that they were all booked up for the night. So I can’t dine in and can’t order carry-out. Clearly this is not an establishment that has any business acumen and actually wants to make money; therefore I will take my dollar elsewhere.
Don’t get the guacamole...it come with more lettuce than avocado. Never had lettuce at the bottom of a guacamole serving before...and never will...ever!!!
