The grits are to die for! Waffles and pancakes were absolutely delicious! I do not have any photos of our food because it was so delicious we didn’t take the time to snap photos. 🤤 The staff is great! My coffee was really bitter but I was offered a second cup and it was much better. Can’t wait to Ike back.
It was good and a little hipster. Price was high for breakfast but its not like they hid the prices from you when you ordered.I would eat there again...limited times throughout the months of course. Clean location but a little crowded. Wait staff was professional and knowledgeable in reference to what they serve. Enjoy!
The last time I left a review I tried to be nice and mix in some positives with the negatives but my negative comments were ignored and only acknowledged the positive. I will not be so nice this time.If you like hash browns with your breakfast stop by McDonalds on your way in and get some hash browns. If you order hash browns here you either get raw potatoe noodles or burnt French fries, there is no in between.Do not get fried chicken, extremely over cooked and thin.Food is over priced for what you get, be prepared to spend a minimum of $40 for two people. If they would learn how to make hash browns this place would be so so so much better. I for one love hash browns and this place is a complete disappointment when it comes to that. I’m not sure where they learned how to make hash browns but Gordon Ramsey would be appalled.
My first time. We got there at 9am and were the last people seated without having to wait. From 9am on there was a line and people outside waiting to get in. Every parking spot was full when we got there and the entire road down the street was full of cars of people dining in this big 2 story restaurant.Go early.Next - the food. Omg the food. AMAZINGGGGGGGG. And it came out FAST.This place reminds me of Magnolia Table in Waco, but the food here is better.Plan to spend 15-20 on food per person, plus drink, tax and tip. 3 of us were $80ish when all was said and done. Good Food, friendly staff, will 100% go back early early.
This place was awesome! Were from out of town but this place felt like home:) the food was amazing and our server was 10/10. Very friendly and quick service!
The entrance is actually opposite the street. The kitchen service was very fast and convenient. The menu was very easy to read. The crew members were very friendly, helpful, attentive, and knowledgeable. The business was very clean. The food was accurate, hot and delicious. The grits will stick to your ribs and the garlic dip was tasty... Lol... It was a very good experience. I will return.
Ambiance in the restaurant was pleasant and the service was truly outstanding. The food was good, different enough to make the restaurant a unique dinning experience locally. I enjoyed the meal. I do think it is a bit overpriced and a scrambled egg even when it is only part of a very interesting presentation should be perfectly done at 14 bucks. Mine were not soft and fluffy as I would have made them when topping really firm Gouda grits with avocado and bacon. The cold brew coffee while ok was actually french pressed (I believe) which is not even close to the same thing as slow brewed coffee with cold water which produces a much smoother product that taste sweet sans sweetner. All that being said I would and most likely will dine there again. The menu is diverse and interesting so exploring it looks interesting. Plus when the staff does that good a job taking care of you they deserve the shout out!
I just tried Seven Mile Café the other day with my mother in our weekly jaunt to experience new (to us) restaurants. The prices here are a little steep, however, the quality of food and service are completely worth it. When they say Texas-sized pancakes, they mean it. Filling, delicious, and enough to take home and have for breakfast the next day. The coffee choices are amazing (Lavender Honey Latte? Yes, please!), and food is fresh fresh fresh! It is definitely on my list of places to visit again!
Hands down, absolute favorite breakfast spot of all time. Strong drinks. Amazing food. Stellar service. Clean. What else can you ask for???! Oh... ask for your hash rows extra crispy and they ACTUALLY show up extra crispy. Will be a regular as long as I live here. Cant wait for the in-laws to come visit so I can take them here!
Love Seven Mile Cafe. This is one of the places we always take family members for brunch. Everything on the menu is great and they have gluten free options which is amazing.
Excellent food (Our party had pancakes and a Benny)and iced coffee beverages! We went on a Saturday for brunch... CRAZY busy...turn over very quick though and we were seated sooner than expected! Staff VERY friendly and attentive!! Well done 7 Mile! You are appreciated!
In response to the request to elaborate: As is usual when locations change and kitchen staff change, the food is not as good as I remember at the old location. I got a pumpkin spice latte which was great. I got the Farmhouse Biscuit Sandwich and it was not good. My husband got Migas and he loved it. Our three girls got chicken waffles (she did not like, she tried to reorder but our waitress wouldnt stand still long enough for us to request a second meal for her), a plain waffle and banana (I think she liked it), and a pancake with bacon (pancake was good, but bacon was not). But what was really disappointing was that I felt that our waitress was angry at us from the moment she got to our table. We didnt ask for any special accommodations. We still left a regular tip. Maybe she hates kids? Shed walk away before we could even ask a question. Maybe she was just having a bad day. I dont want to get her in trouble but I also dont want to come back.
This by far is my favorite breakfast and brunch cafe!! I love how they have healthier options like vegan ect..But my favorite is the adult brunch beverages 😂 mimosas, breakfast margaritas oh yeah!! They are a little pricey but we dont mind! You can check in online which I love. But most of all I love how they take your temperature upon arrival big kiddos to this establishment!!!
This is a huge place with plenty of seating but be prepared to wait in line on the weekends. The food is awesome and so is the service.
Maddie was our server, she said this was her second day serving at this restaurant but I wouldnt have known if she hadnt said so because of her fantastic customer service and personable hospitality! The espresso was top notch. Honestly 2 of 3 lattes our table received were pretty frothy, more like a cappuccino than a latte - but still tasted great. My wife got the Gravy Train and didnt complain. I got the Farmhouse Biscuit Sandwhich and left stuffed to the gills, loved the jalapeno spread.
I just went in to get something sweet like dessert and right after one host said she could help me another one chimed in and said they were closing soon. Ive been in the restaurant industry for years, and you dont turn away guests during business hours. If thats not your policy and you like to cut off seating early you should let everyone know because she had menus in her hands for us but the other host turned us away. I know youre busy and dont need my business but thats just not a good feeling.
Best breakfast in Denton...maybe all of Texas! Tons of gluten free options and vegan options. Something for everyone! Coffee bar is fantastic! This isnt a cheap place though...but you definitely get what you pay for. Lovely experience all the way around. Get there early on Sundays, it gets crowded.
I had the Avacardo Melt, sourdough bread with mushrooms, onion, tomatoes last but not least cheese and like every thing I have had before it was delicious. If you have not been to one of their cafe you do not know what you are missing. Its a must visit hours are breakfast and lunch closing at 2:00 pm. Enjoy😊
Very popular spot Sunday after church but worth the wait. Tasty wholesome brunch with cage free eggs and gluten free options. Green smoothie 🥤 was really tasty. Service excellent!
Good experience-wait wasn’t too bad on a weekend. Has quite a bit of space. Great customer service. I decided to try something a little different as it was brunch timeframe on trying their breakfast sandwich. No complaints.Drinks were great as I had the Nola Coffee which I have now as one of my favorite home drinks to create. It is on the expensive side so as a family of 4 I wouldn’t really frequent. No big desire but if so it would be more of a social meetup if I choose to return back.
Such a great place for breakfast, brunch, and lunch !! I took my granddaughter here and she absolutely loved it!!! To be honest the sweet amazing coffee was the best Id ever had in a long time and I would absolutely come here again and drink some of that amazing coffee again.
Eggs over cooked, as well as the hamburger, and it was extremely dry...I had eggs Benedict....& the egg were cooked through...nothing runny...the hashbrowns barely cooked...not even cooked through...they were mushy...My hunny had the hamburger, and it was so dry he had to add a lot of ketchup to eat it....😢. This place had good reviews, but apparently they never had the hamburger or eggs Benedict...but the pancakes were good...lol
Had a short wait for a table. Our waitress Stephanie was great! She took great care of us. The food selection was great and the food didnt disappoint!! I would definitely recommend this Restuarant. We will be back!
We love this place. Quick service, great food, good atmosphere. 4.9 stars because my wife is always freezing when we go :)
Thank you for the response! The servers name was Nao and she was fantastic. She even drew a cute little kitty cat on the receipt.
One of my all time favorite restaurants for brunch. It never disappoints. The original açaí bowl and the pancakes are to die for. They’ve raised my standards for good breakfast food to unbeatable levels now, and rarely do I feel satisfied at any other establishment that’s not Seven Mile. Consistency and quality is always on point, and staff are always friendly. It’s a bit pricey but it’s worth the money!
We went there for brunch. It was busy, you will need to have a reservation to be seated right away. If not it is a 30- 1 hr wait. I would definitely recommend their pancakes trilogy! Mimosa was good. I liked it a lot. They have different kinds( dont like orange juice). I got their strawberry lemonade mimosa. I got the migas and it was great. I would definitely recommend this place. It is a little expensive that is why I gave 4 star.
Family favorite for years and never disappoints. Have been to a few of their locations and have enjoyed each, but Denton is the OG. Gluten free waffle is fantastic. Various milk options offered for lattes.
Brady was a great waiter. Eggs werent cooked properly. A bit pricey.
Food and service were great. As busy as they were we didnt even have to wait long.
First time visit. Unfortunately had to wait 30 min for outdoor seating which was completely empty😳. Waiter served water then10 min later I had to go in and ask about our waiter. Other tables that were seated after us were getting service. Food was not hot, syrup was cold, waffle was soggy and the breakfast hash browns were very garlicky. Prices too high for very mediocre service & food.
Right up front, I will say that the quality of the food does not justify the prices.Came on a Monday at 1000 and was able to get a table for 2 with no wait. Previous attempts to eat here have estimated a 30-45 wait (and I dont). Was amazed to find out that a menu that features breakfast primarily, does not have omelets on it. A drink order was never taken by our server,, but she did bring us water. Ordered the Gravy Train as I really enjoy biscuits and gravy while my wife got the original eggs Benedict. Also, we got a side of sausage ($4.50 for 2 patties!?!?). The gravy train tasted fine, although I did have to ask for more gravy. My wifes Benedict however had a couple of issues. The eggs were cooked too long and the hollandaise sauce was lacking the lemon. Her hashbrowns WERE cooked extra crispy as she asked and were piled high.We left full (of bread and potato) but unsatisfied. On a more positive note, the staff was friendly, and the food came quickly.A pet peeve of mine is when the check comes with suggested tips. At least the werent calculated post-tax as so many places do.We will not be coming back to Seven Mile Cafe. There are many places with comparable (or better) food for a lot less money.
I ordered online and they got my order wrong again, I couldn’t even get a refund because this has happened so many times!yet I keep trying lol. On the occasions they get my order right the coffee is great though 😬
This morning I went for the first time, and I will definitely be going back. Excellent!
My son toke me for first time to Seven Mile Cafe. And I loved it. Great service, food was amazing. Will definitely be back soon
I tried this place on a whim and I’m totally impressed. It’s like a LA style boutique dive for awesome food. Great atmosphere and the staff are incredibly nice. The food is a conversation piece and it’s taste amazing. Coffee is great and I love a great tasting glass of water. I can’t believe I’ve missed this place for as long as it’s been open. Please give this place a try and please take care of these essential employees for going above and beyond. It’s on my staple list ;)
I wont lie, it is a little pricier than what I was originally expecting, unless youre ordering a la carte. However, the food was really good and they offer a good variety of breakfast and coffee options.
This place is fantastic. I loved it when it was in the old location and I love it in the new.It is laid out in a really unique way, is two stories, and all the food is extremely fresh. My only complaint is that parking is extremely difficult during rush times. But that was the case with the old location as well, so nothing has changed in that way.
Im a first-time customer and ordered the Congress St Benny with gouda grits, an extra side of hashbrowns, and a chia latte with almond milk. Everything was absolutely perfect!Congress St. Benny: If all tofu tasted like that I would eat it everyday! It was fabulously soft without being mushy and NO hit of sponginess. And the sauce adds a wonderful kick to the combined flavors of the avocado and tomato. The gouda gave the grits a melt in your mouth quality that makes u want to melt right out of ur seat. I ordered an extra side of hashbrowns but, while they were also wonderful, I could have done without them but only because everything else was so fabulously filling.Chai Tea Latte with almond milk: absolutely delightful! The vanilla tastes like real vanilla not some over sugared syrup.I highly recommend this place! My only regret is it closes at two.
Good food. Awesome employees. A bit pricey. Eclectic atmosphere. Worth going.
The food was great. The staff was nice. Ive recommended this place and have been recommended this place. I would come here again. This is the first time Ive come to their new restaurant 😁.
Was not impressed. The scrambled eggs were rubbery and hash browns were not browned at all.. like a pile of shredded, boiled potatoes. The staff were very good, but we obviously made the mistake of going at a peak time. The crowd and noise level were horrendous.
Several gluten-free and vegetarian meal options. Always love to get the French toast, or eggs benedict. Theres typically a long wait on the weekends. Get on the wait list through Yelp to shorten your wait. The waiting area is quite small. Be prepared to stand and wait a long time for weekend meals.
My girls and I went here for breakfast. I had the Vegan Benedict and it did not disappoint. I would really love to know what they put on the tofu and how they cooked it. I like tofu, but it can be too “beany” when you get a couple giant chunks served to you. But not with this, it was tender and flavorful. My daughter who tried it agreed! One had the waffle with strawberries and Nutella, of course it was good, how could it not be. Other one had the original bowl and loved it. We weren’t a fan of their lemonades however, they tasted artificially sweetened. We are all looking forward to going back.
Food is not good on this specific location. I went to the location at Flower Mount and is awesome! Is very pricey for a breakfast location. If you order a side of only one sunny egg is $3. Crazy! The personel are very friendly.
Best place for brunch!! Super cute. All the staff are so nice.
Pretty good. A bit expensive for what you get. 2 biscuits with egg and bacon with Hashbrowns is $14. Overall good and clean. Fresh new place.
Food was awesome as usual, and service was excellent, even though my wife asked to speak to the manager and embarrassed us all! But, she had a reasonable question about a potential donation of some of the restaurant equipment so we excused her, and all laughed heartily. Ha ha!
Amazing food and impeccable service! Ive been with Seven Mile before they moved into the larger building and even back then their coffee was greatness. I have never had a disappointing dish or experience here. Their food is handcrafted, delicious, and beautifully presented. They can get really busy, which is good for them, but bad for the wait time. Do yourself a favor and try to go on off peak hours to avoid the large crowds. They have indoor and outdoor seating, which is really nice on lovely days. Great place for breakfast, brunch or lunch! Also, their waitstaff is so friendly and personable- they treat you like family!Berry Bliss pancakes and the Migas are my faves!
Amazing Gluten Free sweets! Their matcha latte and chai tea lattes were on point 👌 Our service was delightful and handed our food allergy requests with ease! Our wait for the table and food to be delivered wasnt bad at all for how busy they were on a Sunday!Next time were in Texas we will definitely be back and be recommending to others!
No omeletes that I could find on the PDF menu that must be downloaded to phone from tabletop QR code. PDF is an awkward format for such an extensive menu. I thought that was strange for a breakfast place. Two people had Chicken & Waffle; The chicken portions were very inconsistent compared plate-to-plate, and the chicken strips had a dry, stringy texture. Both parties said wouldnt have that again. I had a Belgian Waffle with a side of bacon. For $4+, a side of bacon looks pretty anemic on even a small plate, Most places serve sides of 3 or even 4 pieces at that price point. Not a good value...mediocre bacon, smallish pieces. I wouldnt order that again. The food was served to our party of six hot, but at the expense of coordinated meal delivery to the table. Nearly ten minutes elapsed from the first person served to the last. Forced to choose, I would pick hot over coordinated, I guess, but some restaurants manage to do both somehow. The people we were with are locals, and they told me this one-by-one delivery is tupical for this place. Service was OK, but not exemplary, The place is VERY loud operating at capacity; everything is hard-surfaced in the rooms. A little fabric valances or other soft materials would soften the harshness. You pretty much have to yell to have a conversation at a table for six.Somewhat disappointed.
We ordered the loaded hashbrowns and 3 ginormous pancakes. I hope the owners see this because I would like to say that if you focus more on quality, rather than quantity, this place could be spectacular. The eggs on the hashbrowns were over cooked and I did ask for scrambled easy. The pancakes were so dry that they stick to the roof of your mouth. I do want to return again and hopefully something else on the menu will be as spectacular as the service. Less is more when your oder is right and and you wouldnt have to serve these ginormous servings to compensate. Overall, the taste was not bad, but it did not match the price.Less is more.
Vegan breakfast? Every morning? Its so delicious
Eggs Benedict is great! Service and atmosphere are wonderful as well.
I really enjoy this place for for a nice cup of coffee. I came here while I was waiting for my breakfast at the building next door which is 7 Mile Breakfast.. Nice and quiet I was surprised that it didnt have as many people. I Went there for a cup of coffee while I waited for the restaurant to get my table ready for my breakfast. Nice little coffee shop!!👍😁
This was one of the worst breakfasts Ive ever had. I like over medium eggs...they were hard, hashbrowns were barely cooked and apparently bacon is on ration as only 2 thin/narrow slices came with the Usual. On top of this, was over $14 (no coffee). Service was good...food was not.
Excellent! This place shot directly to my top #1 favorite brunch place. Its interestingly decorated, with a perfect breakfast bar area and friendly service. The food was top of the charts also. I added a few things to my top fav list here. The Seven Mile Coffee was a #1 must have. Cold pressed orange juice was wonderful too. Pancakes and waffles were on point. Biscuits and gravy were decadent. The large selection of vegan and Vegetarian options were a treat for my girlfriend. The Vigas (vegan Migas) was another #1 fav. And I would like to just close this review out with... the hash browns. Yet another #1 item that shot straight to the top of my list. By far the best I have ever tasted. I was not expecting to be saying that about a side dish. I would come back and just order them as my meal, they were that good.
Hollandaise sauce was curdled, told by manager it wouldnt make me sick, no comment on the fact that curdled hollandaise is nasty tasting, biscuits were so dense and stale they were inedible. Hope you like garlic, thats all you taste in the hashbrowns. Ate the hashbrowns as I was hungry and she only deducted $10 because I ate the hashbrowns !
This was my first visit and I had a great experience! Food was great. Service was great. And prices are reasonable. I will definitely be back.
Great staff. Very clean and fast. Food was great too!
My food was ok. Not great and not hot. My wifes was great. French toast.
Husband and I were in the area and wanted brunch. Horrible service. We were seated all the way in the back by the restrooms, away from everyone. We bypassed ALL of the other open tables. It’s almost 2022 and we still deal with this as black people. What a disgrace.
Great food, good service, great travel experience!
First time in. Ordered the avocado sandwich on sourdough. There couldn’t have been a quarter of an avocado on it. It came with unexceptional chips and salsa and a very tomato-ey tortilla soup. My partner had an egg scramble with hash browns which were every day, every where. Ordered the cranberry mimosa which was refreshing. No offer of refills on our drinks. Also big dog on patio and staff going out to pet it. Did they wash their hands?
Food was okay, not great but the price made the food seem terrible.Very pricey for plain food! Not returning
Perfect stop for breakfast/brunch before heading to the casino!! Very clean and temperature is taken upon entering. Staff is so friendly and the food is INCREDIBLE. 🤩They offer so many vegan/vegetarian/gluten-free options. Highly recommend the açai bowl, honey lavender latte (alternative milk options available), the vigas (scrambled tofu with avocado, crunchy tortilla strips, and soyrizo), and the strawberry Nutella gluten-free waffle. 😋 We’re so happy we found this super awesome cafe. 🥰
Food and Coffee is always amazing. The wait can seem like itll take forever at times but it never takes as long as they say.....but its worth the wait. Wish they stayed open later!
Must visit... the best brunch in Denton. Dont go on a weekend, unless you have hours to waste, very busy. I believe they are only open until 2pm. Delicious....
Awesome spot. Busy but organized and the staff was so pleasant.
OMG!!! They have the best Stuffed French Toast Ive ever had, seriously. Their pancakes, burgers, and biscuits/gravy is also great too. My favorite breakfast place by far. The is also very quaint.
Fantastic Bennies with an excellent Bloody Mary.
