I really dig the vibe here. Theyve got a cute patio outside with a few lounge chairs. I only got cold brew but it was really good. Desserts and pastries are sublime and made in house.

A great coffee shop Ive been going to for a while. I do wish theyd expand some of the syrup flavor options but the coffees still great. The staff is super friendly and makes my drinks well, and the environment is really inclusive. Theyve never had any issues with my service dog inside, but the patio is also really nice when the weathers good. Im excited theyve expanded!

This place is my new obsession. They make their lavender syrup in house and it is amazing. I go just about every morning and get a blended chai with lavender, and it is *chefs kiss* splendid. They are friendly to everyone who comes through the door, and if you bring your own cup they will fill it!

It’s about the first sip of coffee for me and this place has that kick on the first sip! Pretty spacious with delicious coffee it’s definitely a win for me!

Visited this place since opening. The owner really knows how to hire them, Ive never had a bad experience here. Ive noticed the employees recognize regulars on a first name bases and knows thier order down to the tee. If you want authentic coffee, (especially if youre lactose intolerant like myself), you wont regret coming here and you probably wont go anywhere else

Im in town visiting - I grew up in Texas but moved away to somewhere safer for LGBTQ+ people a few years ago. Never had any LGBTQ+ friendly places to go back then. Really nice to have places like this now that feel safe to visit. The breakfast and coffee were also delicious 😁

Golden Boy is literally THE BEST coffee Ive ever had. And Ive had some seriously good coffee, being from NY. The atmosphere is cool and inclusive. The employees are always cheerful and fast. My wife and I cant get enough.

Golden Boy Coffee is my absolute favorite coffee shop in Denton. They are so welcoming and friendly, and the atmosphere is very inviting. Both the cold and hot coffee is super good, and the general notes of the coffee always seem more unique than the other coffee places I visit. They also have fun seasonal drinks, and I recently fell in love with their jasmine lavender iced tea (so yummy!!). Also, their scones are always delicious!!!!

Golden boy has the best coffee! Their drinks are fresh and their vibe is even fresher. Its one of the most comfortable and inclusive establishments I have ever been to. They have a variety of dairy-free milk alternatives as well as delicious baked goods and tea drinks. They also have savory snacks. I couldnt reccomend them more highly!

One of my top go-to coffee shops. The dim lighting allows me to study here for long hours without getting a migraine (light sensitivity). Owner is friendly & I love the options here!

I came to this coffee shop for a meeting with my realtor and it did NOT disappoint. My wife got the Golden Boy Latte (I think thats what its called) and thoroughly enjoyed it. I got the mocha latte and it is easily the best mocha I have ever had. Its smooth and simply amazing. Ive heard really great things about their other coffees as well, so I intend on trying many more options.The baristas are friendly and knowledgable- if you dont know what to order, they will help you figure out whats best for you based on what you like. They have a lot of snack options that I intend to try next time I visit. What a great atmosphere and great experience over all!

This is a really nice coffee shop on Elm St in Denton. It is in a cool area, and the vibe is really nice and welcoming here. The coffee is great, too. This place reminds me of Austin, TX, which is a good thing, too.

Small coffee shop/bar in Denton with wifi. I come here sometimes to do my homework and study because they stay open pretty late in the evening. Very clean and nice staff. Drinks are always good. My go to drinks are the golden latte, chia tea, and matcha green tea. Eventually i will try every drink on the menu.Update: Tried the mocha and it was the best mocha Ive ever had!

This place is great and sticks true to their golden ways ! Good strong coffee, great people, yummy breakfast tacos and cool decor. I usually get a breakfast taco and cold brew for 8 buckaroos and it gets my through till lunch. Not to mention that their green salsa that comes with the breakfast is the bomb. Support your local businesses and give them a try instead of your average Starbucks routine

Fantastic espresso and friendly service! What more could one want? I got the Americano so I could really taste the flavor of the espresso by itself. Its very smooth and just a hint of sweetness.

Golden Boy has quickly taken over the top coffee spot in Denton for me. Not only are the drinks consistently delicious, but the staff is always a pleasure to be around.I also respect that they have adjusted to the pandemic and what that means in terms of both keeping the customers and staff safe. It says a lot that they choose to prioritize the health of the community over the opportunity of financial gain. In Denton, many other shops rushed to open to full capacity too quickly. It makes me happy that the people in charge clearly understand the severity of the situation. I cannot wait for the lobby to be open when it is safe to do so and I trust that Golden Boy will make the correct decision on when that will be.It also says a lot to me that Golden Boy backs up their words with action. They actively support the things that they believe in whether it’s an issue in the community or a greater world issue.So far I’ve only tried beverages from here and I really want to try their food offerings when I have a chance. I can’t wait to see the next steps for Golden Boy!

Dang I love Golden Boy. Social distancing was great and they were still serving my favorite order. Also, I forgot to ask for oak milk in my coffee, but they called me over and double checked what milk I wanted before making the drink. I know thats a little thing, but Golden Boy is one of the places that makes Denton continue to feel like home for me, so a little gesture like that after not going there for a while kinda made my day. 5 gold stars for a Golden Boy.

Tried their mocha latte and the cortada - both were great. They will bring your order to your car (curbside), which has been a great option during this pandemic.

Great coffee, baked goods and usually great staff! However, the handful of times Ive gone here during Summer Quarantine and up to today Ive gotten looks and attitude for tipping 20 percent. I get that times are hard right now for everyone but 20 percent is all that I can swing for tipping right now. And as someone whos worked in the food service industry and waited tables for over 5 years, I know that 20 percent is a good tip! Today the reaction to my tip was so apparent that I was honestly afraid to drink my coffee. I try to support as many local businesses as possible (especially such LGBTQ+ friendly places like Golden Boy) but after today and the buildup of all my other visits to Golden Boy this will be my last time. I shouldnt have to feel like an outsider when going into a place that says theyre a hub for community and acceptance.One last thing: please tell customers the total before asking for their card. Everytime I have placed an order either over the phone or in person im never told what im being charged and sometimes mistakes can happen!

The iced vanilla latte was amazing. Apparently they make their own vanilla in house, and man, it shows. It was so good. And the environment inside was nice and relaxing, I loved the paintings on the walls and it made me feel motivated to work on art as I spent my time there. Employees seemed cool, too. Definitely gonna go back when I get the chance!

My favorite coffee spot in Denton (and maybe anywhere!!) They have a really extensive and interesting menu, not only with coffee but with food and cocktails too!Their iced masala chai lattes and cheddar rosemary scones are literally my favorite things, and Im not being hyperbolic. They both haunt my dreams.GREAT and knowledgeable staff. Queer friendly! Back before covid they had some really fun events too.Theyve been handling covid precautions very well. They have a little patio area in the front that theyve spruced up a bit to accommodate social distancing. This is such a great spot. Although it is nice, they deserve a better location with more space. Maybe someday!

I stayed at an AirBNB directly across from this coffee shop and I went EVERY morning. Coffee? AMAZING. Snacks? YES PLEASE. My favorite part about this coffee shop is that when I ordered my flavored coffees (which I love), I could still TASTE the coffee! Just the right amount of flavor, but didnt taste like a cup full of sugar. Great coffee.

This might be my new favorite coffee shop. First, and most importantly, the coffee is fantastic. For the plant-based folks, Golden Boy actually offers both oat milk and hemp milk. I had their chai latte with oat milk and was thrilled with it. The folks behind this place have cultivated a lovely, comfortable ambiance that feels at once cozy and a little up scale. In addition to coffee, the place also appears to serve alcohol. For anyone wanting to spend some quality time with a device, there are ample plugs. Lastly, I really appreciate that Golden Boy has decided to include the artwork of local artists on the walls. Good place, will be back!

I’ve only been here once but I do plan to return. The barista was friendly and my latte was delicious! They have a very cozy atmosphere and some outdoor seating as well. Price was on point and options are plenty.

My go-to coffee place in Denton. I always get the drip and its super consistent and delicious. The espresso here showed me how tasty it can be. The staff here is always nice and friendly too. Great all around!

Having never ordered a milkshake at a place that doesnt serve them, I cant speak to what that experience would be like. However, the staff at Golden Boy Coffee has always been terrific to me and anyone Ive taken there. They work not only to make amazing drinks and pastries but also to take care of others in this community. They open their space to all.

Young lady at the front lacked sincerity and repetitively questioned my Drivers license. She failed to understand I do not look my age. She finally accepted my drivers license as valid and rung up my order and then proceeded to come back to my table and question me again! And then refused to sell me a drink! I love the atmosphere however she truly made the experience un-welcoming.

I very much enjoyed my visit to Golden Boy for breakfast. We tried a good number of items, and very much enjoyed all that we had. The lemon honey bee cake was divine. Both our sweet (butterscotch and pecan) and savory (spinach, mushroom, cheese) scones were on point. The breakfast tacos surprised me and were enjoyed by all as well. Suffice to say nothing we ate or drank disappointed.I had a small issue, mentioned it via email and they got back to me within the hour. That shows true passion for their establishment. Thanks!

This place is really nice! I am a student and I was super excited to see that there was a coffee shop that is open late. I had a latte and it was Velvety and delicious. The atmosphere is laid back and the space looks great! Perfect for studying or getting a cup of coffee with friends. Parking outside is kinda limited but there are more spots down the street.

I absolutely love this place! I cant recommend it enough! The atmosphere is very cool and modern. The owners and staff couldnt be nicer. As a student I love that they are open late and their coffee is velvety and luxurious without being overpriced. They have really cool different food that they make in house. I cant wait to see them grow

Awesome place, very chill and quiet vibe. My wife and I love coffee and alcohol respectively (though we each dabble in the other) and this place had an awesome selection of both.Happy hour is 3 to 7, $6 cocktails, $4 beer, $2 espresso. The cocktails are on par with the nicest bars in Denton, the beer selection is small but craft, and the espresso is served super fancy with soda water and a lil gold spoon. :O

Found my new favorite spot! It’s a chill atmosphere, with a LOT of plug-in outlets, which honestly is a nice thing to have. The coffee is top notch and the scones are out of this world! Tried a lot of coffee shops, and would definitely say this is one of the best in Denton as far as coffee, prices, and working spaces go! Also has very friendly staff.

Whatever espresso they use is a bit too bitter and has a little too much bite for my taste, so Im looking for coffee I might go elsewhere, but this place does have the benefit of being a super cozy hangout with late night hours, so you can mix booze and coffee and not get too sauced, which is nice. Every time I come into Golden Boy, I am not disappointed. The staff is incredibly friendly and the drinks are phenomenal. I am now obsessed with chai lattes thanks to this place. The food is also AMAZING, and I love the variety of options they have. Plus, they always have really cool events, and there is always something fun going on. Definitely a must-visit for any local or out-of-towner.

This is a cozy little shop that i love going to. plenty of outlets and it is open the latest of any coffee shops in the area (ridiculous, considering denton is a college town) but either way they’re doing something right. The coffee is delicious and they’re very accommodating. One time i dropped my drink all over my car and went to buy another one in defeat and they just gave it to me. my only negative take is that the location is a bit difficult to find the first time.

Been wanting to try this place and it did not disappoint!!! We tried the cheddar and sausage scone (that was served with maple syrup!!!), the ham and Swiss scone, and the peanut butter rice crispy bar. It was so delicious!!!! I had the iced Mexican mocha to drink and it was amazing!!! Will definitely be back!!!

I just left this place not to long ago today I walked in was not greeted at all so I went to talk to one of the workers and first asked him if they had a restroom he didn’t even make a attempt to make eye contact with me and right when I asked him how much a normal cup of coffee was he interrupt me and said I was not a customer and then told me to leave...... are you kidding me!!! I’m not upset about the restrooms It was everything he did to make me feel unwelcome I just moved to Texas a few days ago...... what a warm welcome so I would not go to this place at all!!

COVID-19 tines: Had to call 5 times before they answered, was the only one in the parking lot when I drove up. Then had to give them my card over the phone, which really isn’t cool, safe, or efficient (probably why it took 5 calls). Most places are using square attachments or portable devices and with Apple Pay it’s practically contactless, feel like it wouldn’t be hard to do🤷🏼‍♀️Buttt, all things considered I don’t mind having some patiences for a local business during this time! Especially since no problems before the pandemic (why I left 4 stars)
