Got a chain tattoo done by Micro. This man is incredible! Very detailed, makes sure things are right before sitting in the chair. Very talented and skilled. Mike is also a cool dude to talk to. Had a lot in common, he made me feel relaxed since it was also my first tat I didn’t really know what to expect. Glad I chose him. Highly recommend, his artwork is off the charts.

Anyone with a passion for tattoos knows just how meaningful they can be. I got my first tattoo 15 years ago. I was 17 and went somewhere that I knew wouldnt card me. It cost $40, and it LOOKED like it cost $40. I now have 12 tattoos, and because I have been such a stickler for quality with tattoos 2-12, that first one has always been a source of embarrassment. For 15 years, Ive wanted to take my first tattoo back, but Ive seen some pretty bad cover up work, so Ive always put it off. Well, I finally pulled the trigger on this, and I am beyond glad I chose Burning Lotus to help me correct my mistake! Ive lived all over, so Ive been tattooed in New York City, Tampa, New Orleans, and Philadelphia just to name a few places and Burning Lotus gave me what 15 years of traveling did not: a redo on my first tattoo!Amazing atmosphere...its just a very pretty and understated space. Its got character, and although I would expect that from a tattoo shop, this one is really inviting and comforting. I would imagine that no matter how different from me the next person that walked in was, the surroundings would make them feel just as invited.Add to all that the fact that the staff was super friendly and welcoming. Corey V took the time to listen to what I wanted, was honest and told me what would work and what wouldnt, assisted with problem solving it so I would walk away feeling like I got what i wanted, and was very receptive to my suggestions and committed to making what COULD work the very best version of itself. I was blown away. It was a simple design, but it was really brought to life!All the while, staff members admired each others work, and socialized with clients like they were regular fixtures there. I cant say enough good things about my experience which is the reason for such a lengthy and extensive review! For them, its just a normal day at work, but for the customer its a lot more.... I work in business and I know people are often way more motivated to write bad reviews than they are to write good ones, so I wanted to make sure that someone reading through reviews and unsure of where to go could read this and find an answer. Gotta send as many people your way as possible! Thats how you ensure good service remain in communities and that they are still there when you are ready to return for more! I booked an appointment here about two weeks out, paid my deposit and when I showed up the person working told me that the entire shop except for him went on a “field trip” for the day. The tattoo artist I booked with didn’t seem very apologetic, and simply just said that he wasn’t sure how my appointment got overlooked, as they all had that day blocked off. I got my deposit back, but I wouldn’t trust their word to say that they will keep your appointment.

Highly recommend everyone there is so friendly and they did incredible work! This is 3 days after getting it so its still healing but look great! Definitely going here for all my other work.

Leigh Ann is so awesome!! She did a wonderful job on piercing my nostril so I went back for 2 tattoos. She is light handed and did a beautiful job. All of the tattoo artists here are amazing. They all have their own set of skills and styles. Corey Nichols is a definite artist in his own right. He has tattooed me twice now. His work is impeccable, and he is very nice to boot. They have a new shop on Range that is really nice. I recommend them to anybody looking for quality artwork.

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience getting my daith pierced. Everything was super sterile and the room was so clean. Leigh Ann was so sweet and easy to talk to. She didn’t rush it so it went super smooth and painless. I highly recommend this place for piercings!

Best place to get a tattoo Mike is an amazing artist!

Had an appointment booked for five oclock got there ten minutes before my appointment just in case, then ended up waiting an hour until someone came up to me and said oh can we reschedule the artist over booked herself. The sad part about it, is I went to safe voyage they did it with no problem, while I was at safe voyage someone else from burning lotus came there and said the person was overbooked for them too.

Micro has done all of my tattoos. He does amazing work. He truly is an artist. And it helps that he has a light touch. My tattoos are all on my ribs. I brought him my ideas and he helped to tweak them to perfection for me. I wouldnt get tattooed by anyone else.

I honestly hate leaving bad reviews for any business but I feel like I must. I came in yesterday and had 2 very simple tattoos done and I honestly think I could have done a better job on myself. They look sloppy and they both look nothing like the pictures I showed her. She drew them on and said not to worry that it was just a rough image of what she is doing. I trusted her and when she finished I hated it. I was supposed to get 3 small ones all together but after the 2nd one, I decided to not get anymore from her. I’ve never been embarrassed of a tattoo before. :(. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I have always been thrilled with the work Ive had done by Micro. Tried to venture out and get a tattoo somewhere else and was terribly unhappy. The artists at this shop are amazing. I talked to Corey about an idea I had for my tattoo and brought in reference pictures and told him what the overall look I was wanting for this piece. The end result exceeded every single one of my expectations and I could not be any happier with the way my tattoo came out! Not only was the tattoo perfect, but the time I was there having done was just an overall good experience. there was laughing and cutting up going on which made the experience fun. They definitely take their work seriously but theres still a light and fun feel to the shop, which makes for a better tattoo experience in my opinion!

I had sent Cory a picture of exactly what I wanted - He literally changed it and tattooed it permanently on my body without EVER telling me or showing me the changes. I got home before I ever realized what happened. When I messaged him, he told me that since I had found it on Google, he felt the need to change it up. . . which is understandable. But never mentioning that to me? Completely unacceptable. The work was decent, but would NEVER recommend because of this.

My husband and I both got tattoos each an alike one and each a different one. Micro did an excellent job finishing and making a custom I had just thrown together. And help my husband find just what he was looking for. We will be back without doubt.

I got a piece done by Corey and Scott, both stand up guys, who want to do the piece you want, which is a big change from what Im used to at shops. Pricing is solid, time frame is ideal, always good jams and people. The Lodge was done by Corey and Alex Greys Flaming Eye was done by Scott.

Went into to the shop on March 27, 2015. Put down a deposit for a tattoo that I was told would be around $300 to $400. Ive sent plenty of emails trying to get information on the status of my drawing. The artist continually said he would call me soon but I have still heard nothing back. It is May 23, 2015....Unprofessional. Great artist, but I wont be going back.

My bf will be 17 in a few days and wanted to get a tattoo for his birthday for his mom that passed away. we set it up weeks ago and the person he talked to said he could do it. we showed up today for the appointment with his father to sign the paper work and they turned him down. they told him that because he is a minor they would not tattoo him. i went in to speak to the man at the counter about his employ who obviously did not know the correct information and had not only wasted my bf’s time but had also upset him over the fact that he couldnt get the tattoo for his mother. i stated the fact that it would be helpful for employs to know the correct policy so that more people under 18 did not come in only to waist their time. he then proceeded to tell me that would not and has not happened because all of his employs know the policy and told us it was a miscommunication on our part basically telling us it was our fault for not having the right information. he was very rude and stared at his computer, not me, while talking to me. WILL NOT BE COMING BACK.
