What a great experience from start to finish at the Hitching Post! The owner Mike was fun to work with and really made us feel like we were family. He worked with us on the size of our yard and came in well below our budget. The install was professional and went very smoothly. The install crew made sure it was exactly where we wanted it before anchoring it down with the hurricane straps. They even had an extra piece of synthetic turf on the truck they put at the base of the slide and ladder at no charge. Highly recommend this company for all your backyard needs. We are definitely lifetime customers.

I utilized the Hitching Post in Delray Beach to purchase one of their high end storage sheds.It was delivered and constructed on site in the time they had quoted. The finished product is amazing! They painted it the color I requested to match my house. The crew that was there fir several days did a great job. I pitched the upgraded shed with younger and groove wood on the walls and ceiling, with air conditioning, glass double doors and transom windows above door. We stained and sealed the wood. Even though we will utilize as upgraded clean storage, as we don’t have a garage, it could easily be used as an office or extra room. It has an aluminum roof, which will last a long time.It is anchored in the ground with 12 anchors that go 3 feet down, so it should do well in the event of hurricane,etc.The current and future utility of this structureeasily justifies the cost.In conclusion, Mike and his staff were excellent through the whole process and I would highly recommend them.

The hitching post is a great place to go for a top quality backyard play set. Not the cheapest on the market, but definitely the best quality we have found. My son loves it. And go ahead and spring for the shade device. You will want it I did. Totally worth it

I was in a pinch and I needed my shed moved in a hurry. Even though they were booked up with work, Mike was able to move a few things around for me just to fit me into his schedule! I greatly appreciate it. Ill use the hitching post again!

They were nice and the structure looks good. Took them 1 day to put up. I waited 8 weeks for it to get delivered. Get ready cause it aint cheap! All in all, it was a positive experience.

It is unfortunate that what started to be an anniversary gift for my wife turned out to be a horrible experience and poor handling of a customer. I am in retail and deal everyday with the public, if we complete an order, get paid and complete the order to then find the salesperson did not charge enough, we in our business will deliver the product to the client even if it cost us due to our mistake. Hitching Post had a two chair set that was assembled together with a price tag on it. I was told I could get it in any color I wanted so I placed my order and paid them for it. The order was to arrive within two weeks. Weeks went by with no one calling me back or answering my emails. When they finally did, they stated they under charged me and they would honor the price they gave me. I spoke to a manager and again told they would not honor the price and they will refund my money two months later. I would not recommend to anyone and experience such horrible treatment. -R. Avila

Bought a Pavilion. Consider purchasing unit online from manufacturer and hiring a licensed contractor from Angie’s List. Smooth talk, poor execution. Paid a deposit 3/30. Was charged $750 for a permit that cost $100. Did not get a permit until 8/11. Balance due before construction begins, use a credit card so you can dispute if needed. A $639.60 additional permit fee was added to final bill. They paid a ghost contractor to get the permit, used inexperienced unlicensed labor to construct. Failed inspection twice. Final was on 10/8. Still needed work to finish, they wont come. I disputed on credit card and owner threatened to tear off my roof. Hired a licensed contractor and electrician to complete.

I purchased a swing set from the Hitching Post within the past few months. Wow! I cant say enough great things about the entire experience. The sales reps were very informative and responsive. They answered all of my questions in a timely manner and were very pleasant to work with. Their outdoor showroom is great. It gives the customer a first hand look at what they are purchasing before they make a purchase.The swing set itself is amazing. I purchased the vinyl set up with the sun canopy. It is awesome! I can push my 2 year old daughter on the swings at lunchtime in the South Florida heat while being totally comfortable due to the shade the canopy provides. We are able to use it most of the day without having to worry about getting burned by the sun. I highly suggest getting the sun canopy. It makes a world of difference. I removed the canopy by myself once for a storm that was coming and it was not too difficult to reassemble after the storm had passed. Im also glad I went with the vinyl. I think it will be very easy to maintain over the years and will not have the weathered look that some wood can have.Overall, I am very pleased. Every time I look at the swing set, I think to myself that was a great purchase. Thanks again to Kathy for helping me pick out such a great addition to our yard. We love it!

We purchased a pergola about 4 years ago and its all rotten (about 1 year after installing it we noticed small cracks. We treated the wood, but nothing worked.)The material is not water/humidity resistant as we were told, weve been misled according to the technician we had inspecting it.I would not buy anything from this company. The owner would not take any responsibility and after you complete the purchase, doesnt care for the customer.The matter has been solved to our satisfaction.

Do not do business with these horrible unprofessional staff. They are out to get a sale and will not install the shed I purchase to code just dropped it off in the middle of my drive way. Save yourself lots of headache and legal fees and go somewhere else.

We have had very positive experiences with The Hitching Post. Each member of The Hitching Post team has always been very helpful, courteous and responsive to questions. We have just entered into our third project with the Hitching Post. First, they installed a play set at our Church over two years ago. Which is thoroughly enjoyed and has held up beautifully. They recently installed a play set for our Granddaughter. They made a beautiful play set for a small space. And lastly, very patiently spent lots of time helping me figure out the proper shed for my backyard. I highly recommend the Hitching Post.

I was ripped off by this company. Bought a shed paid for the delivery and installation. They dropped it off in front of the door on a Sunday, and took off... taking them to small claims. save yourself a lot of headache and do not do business with these people...

Found this company in a local ad. I stopped by to look at their playground sets. The owner met with me and took me to see the different options. He was extremely nice and considerate of our budget. We ended up going with a preowned set. The playground was fully restored and practically new by the time we got it. We are very happy with our purchase and will highly recommend them!

Would not recommend this company based on the owners (Mike) horrific response to my issue with one of his installers smoking cigarettes in my backyard. They are already built for you to view on his property.We decided on the Artisan Vinyl design Pergola. It is simply beautiful. The Pergola is built to last and it is decorative yet strong and safe. It is really the highlight of the pool area. This Pergola is also very easy to care for as its exterior is made of vinyl but engineered for solid anchoring and very little maintenance. Many of our neighbors admired the workmanship and aesthetic beauty. The top of the Pergola is decoratively scalloped and extends out beyond the posted structure to add an elegance and regal look that gives the entire area a majestic feeling.We also asked Michael to help us pick fencing to accent the pool and to fulfill the county required added safety feature. We picked out travertine from Turkey that is just magnificent. If The Hitching Post were not an outside showroom with well-designed erected samples on display, we would have never known how glorious our backyard could have been transformed. It is truly our Florida Oasis and the setting is because of Michael Skiera’s outstanding ability to give his customers a thrill of an experience to make a dream your reality. The Hitching Post is unprofessional, subpar and untrustworthy. Their mark up on products is ridiculous. Mike is horrible in every aspect and Kathy in the office can’t add (too many errors on invoices). They deliver the wrong products. I would NOT recommend them to anyone. Horrible nasty experiences from customers, vendors and employees. They DON’T pay, NEVER do business with them!

The Hitching Post did an amazing job building a retaining wall, leveling our yard, and installing a beautiful playhouse with playground, and AstroTurf. All of the neighborhood kids love our house!
