Charlene the bartender was very pleasant and inviting. This place was a surprise tucked away. Our food was delicious and very flavorful. We went in hungry and got what we wanted and then some. I got a cold roast beef sandwich loaded with a cucumber salad. A plate of onion rings and my husband got a Philly burger perfectly rare. Forgot to take a picture when our food came. This is an after. You wont be disappointed!!

Very nice old-school bar (1950s) with a great patina, yet modern upgrades. Fine service and an outstanding selection of liquor...just make sure you inquire about prices beforehand or you may get quite a surprise with your tab! Upstairs bathroom location doesnt score any points, but thats life...overall, a worthwhile experience and a glimpse into a long-ago world...well be back to try the food.

Went in for a drink after a friend suggested they had a good happy hour. Friendly staff and good service. The draft selection was not the greatest imo but the bottle selection was very good. Nothing to complain about and very friendly staff.

Go here for drinks/drink specials, and a no frills place to drink the day away and be left alone. Come here to tie one on and eat bar food. It’s great for what it is, a watering hole to have fun in.

Been to many bars all over the United States. Not a drinker. Danielle the bartender was the best bartender and coolest person.

So first time here. Im giving a 3 only cause of the service they were nice. Pn the other hand blah for the food. The jumbo wing were tiny. Ordered teriyaki wings they had the sauce but the medium came out without any sauce just plain dry fried little bity wings. Come on step it up. The place was empty. Whoever is the cook obviously doesnt care about this business.Thanks

Seems like a nice bar right off the main drag in Delray Beach. I ordered the grilled chicken dinner online for take out. It was supposed to come with broccoli but upon getting back to the hotel found they substituted green beans. They didn’t call to ask or say anything on pickup. In fact I don’t like green beans but too late. Chicken was tasty but just average bar food. Ratings of 4.5 seem too high here but maybe people like it for the bar and have lower expectations and are accepting of unwelcome surprise substitutions. --- Edit - upon response of owner and recognizing communication on the issues, I have adjusted from 3 to 4 stars.

Love this place.. Found it many, many years ago on a visit to FL.. At the time it was Pepes Hideaway... I live here now and its a go to when I visit Delray.. Great food and service!

Best cheesesteak anywhere around (I opt for the wrap cuz, low carb 🤷‍♀️ Laid back sports bar with pool table and darts, big screen for the games. Great bartenders. Awesome local hangout. Make sure to partake in their Aloha Sundays and enjoy the best Mai Tai in a bucket!!

Nice Hidden place. An atmosphere that is like no other in Delray. Menu is limited if you mind your carb intake.

Never heard of the place until someone in my wifes gym told her that their son recently bought the place.They have a happy hour from 4 until 8 where some bar bites are only $ 6 and happy hour drinks.We tried Crab cakes (Balls), Bacon Wrapped Shrimp, Fried Calamari, and Buffalo Wings, all very good except the wings are on the small side.My wife tried the soup of the day, south American chicken soup that was purple from the purple carrots, she really loved it.

Short Caucasian guy complains about being tip when all he did was ignore us all night. The young lady took care of us and was tipped properly. Never coming back here!

I really enjoyed Peter Dante band! Service was awful, waited 20 minutes for a waitress. Hour later we finally got food and drinks. Poorly staffed! 3 people cannot run a bar! Sad cause the entertainment was awesome!

We were sitting outside listening to the Thursday reggae show. The waitress kicked us out for not ordering fast enough and said she had other people who wanted to order now. She was very demanding and wanted our group to leave and was using elaborate hand motions.

This place has got SUCH a clever aesthetic where its like its a speakeasy is actually a sports bar. Great local craft beer selection!

Great ambiance (check out the new floors!)Their food is top-notch (they even do take-out most days), and the crew behind the bar (shout-out to Ashley and Joe!) is always on point and fun. Genuinely wonderful people at this joint.

We were in the neighborhood visiting family and went here on a Friday night. It was their karaoke night and it was so much fun! They did a great job practicing their socially distant guidelines. We ordered their Philly cheese steak sandwiches and boy were they delicious. We plan on going back today for their island Sunday. If youre ever in the area we highly recommend you stop by and check it out. Delray Hideaway will definitely NOT dissapoint.

Got the absolute worst service on 1/16/21 Saturday night! Waited at the table for 15 mins with no interaction with the wait staff. Went to the bar and still nothing. Bartender greeted another table 2 mins after I went to the bar. Absolute the worse that night. The male bartender was the absolute worse!! Not even one word of acknowledgment.

Absolutely a place worth trying, the food is excellent and fresh, the cost is fair and it is consistently well organized there. 5 stars.

Place is very cool, its just a hole in the wall of a place, but that bartender Joe makes a mean negroni. Large selection of spirits. There is one pool table as well.

Tiny little joint hidden away, which really is kinda hidden. Hence the name, Hideaway. They had the football game on an impressive huge projector up high as the ceiling is 2 stories. Theres a pool table and darts, and an outside area for smokers. Pretty cool, just real quiet and a bNd starting setting up, which I thought it was too small for.

What a wonderful place to sit and relax with a cold one. Everything you need and nothing you dont. Great food and an excellent happy hour. Just down the street from the beach nothing could be finer. Recently remodeled and the friendly staff are there to welcome you all day and most of the night.

Bartenders are nice. Food is good, tends to be a nice little place. Can get loud once it gets later in the night or when a game is on. Reasonably priced food and drink.

I hate to promote this place - its already getting hard to find an empty seat - but I have to say between the staff and food... Try to find better - the food is bar food+. I have had crab cakes and lobster mac & cheese (both specials), however, do not miss the philly cheesesteak. Try to find one better in Delray Beach and feel free to let me know where it is. I have not found one better!Bartenders are tons of fun. (who said jello shots)

Great dive bar for a drink! Decided on the fish dip for a snack. We were told the food was good...but pleasantly surprised how good!! We just decided to order sandwiches there instead of going elsewhere and they were fantastic!

Delray hideaway is such a great place and I am sooo happy we found it! It reminds me of places back home. It has mostly locals and the bartenders and staff are very friendly. The environment inside is very relaxed and nice. There are large televisions to watch the games, Jenga, darts and they do karaoke and bingo on certain days of the week. It is a very welcoming and fun atmosphere. We will definitely keep going back!

My friends and I had a blast! The owner is fun, personable and has great staff. Delicious food and cocktails. Its a definite must!!

I was happy to have found a hole in the wall by my hotel. It wasnt busy, and the drinks werent overpriced. Service was ok, not great, coming from a service industry background. I have the app for playing music on the jukebox, and I spent a ton of credits to play music for the two hours I was there. A variety of music, nothing heavy or hardcore, and an employee literally skipped every song to play heavy rock, wasting my money. Extremely rude.

Tasty food, good prices and very friendly staff. We found this place randomly looking for cheap burgers. Turned out great. It is a cute dive bar tucked back behind a clothing shop. I had a pastrami sandwich and coleslaw. Loved the coleslaw! My husband had the bbq burger and fries. Fries were great. I didnt taste the burger, but he said it was a nice tavern burger. If we lived in the area, we would totally come back. Easy, unpretentious, the regulars were friendly, food was good and the bill didnt break yhe bank. My kind of bar.
