I bought my volvo over a year ago and one of the first things I was looking into was which dealership is the closest to me, the Delray Beach Volvo or the North Miami. After reading the Delray Beach reviews I knew it was a place I wanted to avoid. Furthermore its been my experience that dealership in general are not to be trusted. Being the proximity to my job I eventually (last week) made my way to the Delray Beach Volvo. I had my coupon in hand, I inspected the vehicle, and attempted to fix the problem just to avoid going. At the dealership I met a gentleman name Dominic, before and while he attended me I was able to witness a unique customer service experience leading with the truth. Seeing him dealing with those customer caused me to lower my guard. At the end of my experience it seems that I was right to do so. I had to do a multiple days to fix my problems but the dealership did accommodate me with a car as it was getting fixed. The visit was by no means perfect as I had to stay there an extended time (I rather it gets done correctly) during my extended stay the greeter was just as accommodating and nice. To wrap up the experience Dominic made sure he took care of everything that came up even finding additional problems that I saw but did not relay to him. I highly suggest going here.

I live in Delray Beach. I bought my 2022 SC40 from Volvo of Palm Beach. Here’s why… I set an appointment to see a SC40 online through Gunther’s website. I set it for 4pm on a Monday. At 8:34am Monday morning, I get a VERY RUDE call from a female (Linda?) asking me when I’m going to come by. (She was obviously booking appointments for the sales team yet not looking at the computer.) When I remarked how early she was calling me on a Monday, she didn’t get the hint that maybe I was in the middle of my job, my household needs… a busy Monday morning. Nope. She only cared about what SHE needed. She proceeded to tell me how she is “legally able to call as early as 8:30am.” Dearest Linda, as I told you on the phone, I didn’t ask for legal advice. What I asked was for you to HEAR what’s important to me. I chose 4pm for a reason. Since you didn’t care, I exercised my legal rights to buy elsewhere. When Curtis, the sales person I was assigned asks why he lost the sale and why I no-showed, I hope mgmt at the dealership will train you Linda. It would have been so easy to just say “oh my goodness would you like me to call you another time?” But no you chose to dig in, be nasty, and tell me your legal rights. What an unfortunate choice you made Linda. But luckily, Volvo at Palm Beaches was worth the drive. Ask for Elliott. He was awesome.

NOT EVEN WORTH A SINGLE STAR! I made an appointment online for routine service as well as tire rotation. I received several confirmation emails and a text message indicating Gunther Volvo would pick up my vehicle for service yesterday at 12:30. No one every came for the car nor did I receive any communication explaining a delay or problem with the pick up time. I called Gunther Volvo and spoke with Tony, who could only apologize. He put me on hold and the call dropped (Im sure it was intentionally disconnected.). I called back and spoke to Danielle, who couldnt give me a reason for no one showing up. She said she would give a message to the service department manager, Vasil Blagoev, and have him call me. He never did!Today, I called Gunter Volvo and spoke with Byron. He asked for the phone number associated with my car so he could look up my account. He said, I see you were scheduled for our valet service yesterday. I said yes I was, but no one came for the car and, despite repeated phone calls inquiring why, no one would explain why or call me back. Byron said he would have the service manager call me. I told him I had left a message already and he never called back. I asked to speak with the top manager of the dealership and Byron put me on hold and the call was dropped (Im sure it was, once again, intentionally disconnected.). I called back, yet again, this time speaking with Tony...again. He apologized and said he would have a service manager call me. He said the dealership manager was unavailable at this time. I told Tony not to bother. I am done with Gunther Volvo of Delray. Their customer service is non existent! Not one person I spoke with was the least bit interested in finding out what happened with my appointment yesterday. This follows my previous trip to Gunther Volvo for a scheduled oil change that took four hours. Never again will I deal with Gunther Volvo and I would discourage others from doing business with this dealership.

Traded in a $21,000+ car and nearly a month later, they STILL have not paid for the trade-in. This is THEFT!!! Plus they do NOT negotiate in good faith. NEVER buy a car here or at the very least do not trust them to pay for your trade-in.UPDATE: Did receive payment after 1 MONTH. They didnt even mail the check for about 2 weeks. So just in the nick of time, I didnt have to send a payment to credit union for a car I no longer own. Rather unfortunate experience to have this stress.

I set an appointment through Gunther’s website at 10 am. The appointment never was confirmed, but I received a couple emails from the internet sales manager Anthony Casciotta regarding VIP (ha-ha) appointment to see the cars Im interested in . So I came at 10 am... Nobody even looked at me. Nobody even approached a potential customer who was ready to buy a car. I sent email to Anthony that Im here and waiting. No response.I wait for 15 minutes and left.Unbelievable. It the worst experience in my life at dealerships.

I was there today inquiring about a new car lease the salesmen I talked to said he has been selling cars for 7 years and there is nothing he does not know about car deals and sales. He asked me about a trade and I told him I was selling my trade to Caravana and that was a mistake on my part because he then started to tell me about his 7 Year car experience he said they would not purchase my car under any circumstances they just said they would they lied to me I tried to explain to him but he said he did not believe me. I did not go there to trade my car I just wanted a price on a new lease.That is a great way to start talking to a new customer contradicting. He then said his $46 K 4 cylinder car is compared to a BMW or Mercedes he has numerous people trading them in for a Volvo.That was amazing I did not see any used BMW or Mercedes on there property maybe they were hiding them.I did not say anything to burst his bubble.I told him I was shopping and he asked me what I was quoted at other car dealers for similar priced vehicles and I told him and every car I mentioned he said it did not compare to the $46K 4 cylinder Volvo even though the MSRP were thousands more than his vehicle.Right then and there I knew there was no use talking to this know it all 7 year veteran. I told him he had a negative attitude and of course he denied it and I did not want to argue with him so I got up and said have a nice day and walked out.I wonder how many cars he sells per month with his know it all attitude.

Couldnt be happier with the service we received at Gunther Volvo Delray Beach. Although we had the option to purchase at our local dealership or in Atlanta (4 hours away), we chose to drive 6 hours to purchase our XC60 from Gunther Delray. They had the best selection and prices, and our sales representative, Balvin Minto, was wonderful to work with; very professional, great attitude and extremely knowledgeable about the car so he could answer all of our questions. Overall, it was a very positive experience and I would not hesitate to refer anyone to this dealership. Great job!!

This is a review of the service dept of their VW dealer. The worst telephone service among other dealers.. 12 phone calls to get a reply. Then when you finally get a reply, it takes you to no one, you have to drive to them so you can talk to the service dept manager in person. What a way to conclude your business. Unlucky,I have 2 VWs 2020 and 2021. Thank God VW Corp allows me to see any other VW dealer for service..BTW, the Service Dept Manager is a very decent capable helpful person but his hands are tied because the owners dont want in invest in a better telephone system and hire more people to do the job right

Where do I start? I had some problems with a used Volvo that I bought elsewhere. I brought my car to Gunther to get the car fixed. It turned out that I essentially needed an engine rebuild. I hold a contract with an extended warranty company. They refused to pay out. Dominick, my service advisor had me in a loaner for over a month and went to war with me against my warranty company who couldnt be convinced that a problem actually existed.After the problems continuing Dominick (who even gave me his cell phone number) helped me get the car back in and worked tirelessly with me to get a competent inspector out from my warranty company to get my claim finally covered - saving me a $5000 repair bill. His advocacy and persistence saved my rear end!Dont think twice about getting your new Volvo or Volvo serviced here.

Scheduled a valet pickup from my house. Waited 30 minutes. No one showed up. Called them. After 10 minutes on hold, they said they pick up only up to 15 miles. Wouldve been nice to know this before I wasted my morning waiting for a very unprofessional approach. These guys lost business from me before they even got it. Will not even consider them for any reason in the future, including buying my next Volvo. Horrible and a waste of time.

Horrible experience with the sales manager Tony. We already owned a Volvo and received a letter with an offer for an upgrade. Tony was pushing us to sale his current inventory instead of honoring the offer we were targeted as loyal customers. Very disappointing!! This dealership never again.

I’ve been to several Volvo dealerships to service my XC60 this dealership by far has the worst customer service and lack of professionalism! Do NOT recommend. I would have had to leave my car for days to get repaired and they wouldn’t offer me a loaner. It’s worth the drive going up to Palm Beach for better customer care and service!!! Take your business elsewhere, trust me.

Wow! Holy Bait and Switch, Batman! Found a car on their website. Inquired about it. Spoke with Laura, who confirmed the vehicle was there and available. Told her we’d be there in about 90 min. She said she’d bring it up for us to look at and test drive. Great! We get there and it’s the wrong vehicle, she says she’s going to go bring it up. Josh comes over, whisks us into his office and begins to try to pitch other vehicles to us “in case that one isn’t available”. Disappears for 30 seconds, comes back and surprise, it’s sold! Hmm. Well then what car is Laura looking for and bringing up? He tries to pull on our strings by saying we’re here, he has other cars like that one. But. This is just a vulgar and insulting attempt to bring a customer in and try to get them to buy something else. Disappointing, unacceptable and unethical.

Very terrible experience buying a use car with them....so mr Tony who sold me car he told if you need any help call me ..after he sold car I try to ask him a question no reply..after 3 month later didn’t receive my tag had to call them 6 to 7 time before you even can get to the right person it’s always goes to there voicemail...and finally she answer and told me I will mail out your tag and she put wrong mailing address on It...I m still trying to get my tag I don’t know how hard to write correct address...but my whole point is when you try to get hold of them good luck..

As a sales professional myself, I am actually offended at the awful sales strategies here. The first person I met and spoke with was unwilling to provide me the details of the incentives on the deal, and then flat out would not return messages. I had written them off at that point, but decided to give them another chance when I was driving by and decided to stop in and speak with a Manager. At first, I was reassured, but then the bait and switch. I had another deal in the works with a loaner vehicle coming up for sale at another dealership. Colby, the Delray Volvo Manager asked me, via text, for a brand new one, would you pay $15 more per month? I said Yes and then he went dark and didnt respond to my messages. I had to call the next day, and he connected me with another sales rep who ran the numbers and it was over $100 more per month for the lease than what Colby offered. When I asked Colby to explain this, his response, I simply asked if you would (pay it), sorry that you took it that I could do it. What kind of sales tactic is this?? Ask me if I WOULD pay something, get me to say yes, then jack up the number by about 20%? Awful - just awful. Glad another Volvo dealership will be getting my money.

Well, I will start with, dont do business with Gunther Volvo Delray Beach. My transaction has been difficult and met with misrepresentation, greed, lack of follow-through and lack of professionalism. Really hard to believe that even in 2020 the car business continues to attract individuals who tend to utilize unscrupulous tactics to make a buck. I made an out of state purchase with Gunther. 60 days later, I still can not get my paperwork from this dealer, I have an expired plate and can not get a response from anyone. Go to another dealer, Im sure you can find better than this!

Mathieu Tango was our salesman and from the moment my husband spoke to him on the phone to the time we left and even days after he was beyond helpful, professional, attentive, and just so easy to work with. We originally went in with the intention to purchase the VW Atlas Cross Sport. We couldnt decide and took a look at a couple Volvos as well. We had Mat running from dealer to dealer, he worked with the manager, worked with us, and ultimately got us a great deal on the Volvo V60. I have always loved the Gunther dealerships, but Delray has now become my favorite! Mat was so awesome! Id highly recommend him and will send him business as much as I can!

Balvin, my salesman was terrific. I was moving from out of state and decided to purchase a Volvo. I contacted Balvin about two weeks before I arrived and we were able to get all of the paper work and insurance set up ahead of time, making my visit really quick and easy. Balvin was also very knowledgeable about the vehicle and was very patient showing me how to use so many of the features. He also paired my phone to the car. Everyone at the dealership was very nice and professional.

A service call for our Volvo is always a pleasant experience. The staff is welcoming, from the moment of our arrival at the service bay. The waiting room area is comfortable and I especially like the touch of orange comfy chairs. There is complimentary coffee and also a terrific 50s diner across the road where the menu is a fun part of the meal. Getting our car serviced is so much more pleasant at Gunther Volvo --thats why we travel 40 minutes to get there --its worth the drive.

Our family will always buy and receive maintenance service from Gunther! They are the best there is. A dealership in West Palm Beach which shall remain nameless could have easily had us as customers, but instead of treating us as people they treat us only as a sale.At Gunther DelRay, you as an individual matter. Every single employee carries the highest level of customer service. Today I had another wonderful encounter with both Dominic and Vanessa. They moved mountains to make sure that I was taken care of as a person on the whole. These people are the best and fairest in the business I cannot recommend them more highly.

Terrible Customer Service. Service team does not respond to emails nor do they return phone calls. Prior to appointment asked for a different service team lead - change was never made. Asked for the service / parts team to confirm that a part was indeed ordered - never received confirmation. Was told that the part could not be ordered without payment - asked for invoice and full instructions on how to process the payment via phone to avoid having to make two trips to dealer - never received instructions. Confirmed that someone would wait while oil change was being done and trunk latch replaced - this took over 6 hours. Very disappointing. One of the Gunther team members even said if you are bringing a vehicle for even a simple service be prepared to waste your entire day. Will be heading elsewhere for future service needs. My recommendation if any basic level of customer service is your expectation - dont bother making an appointment. Do yourself a favor and find another dealership.

We came in for an oil change and tire rotation with an appointment. Standard service that they said would take about an hour. 3.5 hours later we are still waiting. While waiting we test drove a car and got to experience extreme high pressure. Not pleasant. They spent their money to make the dealership pretty and should have spent it on customer service.

Great cars. Just do not buy them from these guys. Is there less than one star to give them ?!I leased a 2018 XC60 there in late November 2017. It was supposed to have all these features that my sales person at the time was bragging about. I signed the lease and took the car home . Few days later started to realize some of these features were missing . I called the dealership back only to find out that my sales person had just quit. Tried to get in touch with this other person Keith who is the tech expert there and it took him a couple weeks to get back with me. He eventually called back and when I asked about these missing features such as the pilot assist /adaptive cruise control and what I later found out its called a convenience package he said it doesnt look like your car has that package, I was surprised and told him my sales person told me this car should have these feature but unfortunately he is gone . For 2-3 more weeks I tried to get in touch with the sales manager Ryan McIntyre whom I worked with when I leased the car . He would not call me back..I even went in person to the dealership and was not able to meet with any of the sales managers. Finally one of the sales managers whose name is Nick was nice enough to email back and after I explained everything to him Hhe said its basically too late to return the car and exchange it for the one that has all the features you are looking for and that my only option at this point is to trade in the car for whatever residual value they feel like its worth and to start a new lease which of course is going to bring my monthly payment up significantly.So not only did these guys lie to me and sold me a car that didnt have the features they claimed. but also ignored all my phone calls and emails for weeks until it was too late in their terms to do anything about it.I have to say the car is great and I love it but I feel like I was cheated and lied to and sold something that did not exist.I would never again do business with these guys and would never refer anyone I know to them .Many people have admired my car since I leased it and I would say its a great car just dont get it from this dealership.Horrible experience to say the least.

While my service writer was very polite and professional, it is clear they are understaffed. I repeatedly asked for a written copy of the estimate and it took almost an entire day. Once I received the first estimate, it was just an email describing the repair with a price. No itemized parts and labor pricing as required by law. After several attempts to get a detailed estimate sent over, I gave up. The estimate price seemed very high (+$1,000) and the diagnosis did not make any sense. Finally, I sent an email to the service writer that I decided to just pick up the car, and would be there in 40 minutes. When I arrived, the car was not ready, and I had to wait over an hour to get my car.At the end of the day, I figured at the cause of the problem, and repaired the car for $200.

I purchased a used vehicle with the assistance of Tony and it was one of the best dealership experiences Ive ever had. I live out of the area and Tony was responsive and provided everything requested in a timely manner and kept in contact with me throughout the entire process. Tony had the vehicle gassed up and detailed prior to my arrival and had started on the paperwork to expedite the process. Shop around. You will get a much better deal. To the response of the owner. I did stop by. I drove 2 hours there to meet with Tony. He knew my numbers and what I wanted. The whole time It was just come on down. Just come in. He didnt even have the car on the lot I had asked about but said It was. What a waste of time. I did by a Volvo. But not from your dealership. I got a better deal and a more down to earth salesperson.

Our first experience with Gunther was great, however, when we returned during the Covid19 national emergency, the experience was far different. We called our salesperson and explained we wished to lease a 2020 XC90 that was identical to our previous XC90. We negotiated a great price and picked up the vehicle site unseen at the dealer. All seemed perfect and the car looked awesome!We have multiple vehicles and did not drive or really look at the new XC90 for over a week as it sat in the garage. After taking the car on a short jaunt, we started noticing small annoying flaws, this certainly did not have the same features as our previous Volvo. There is no front parking sensor and no park pilot as the previous car did. First, how Volvo could even make a car without a front parking sensor when this is standard equipment in most every car is bizarre. Secondly, how Gunther could sell me a car that was requested to be exactly like the previous car, yet it is missing critical features!The only reason this was slipped past us was due to the remote purchase and being distracted by the pandemic. Be extremely cautious that you are getting what you want, at the price you want to pay, when dealing with Gunther.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE my new 2019 S60!! I have been driving a Volvo for the past 30 years and this year it feels like no other. The design, the drive and technology are all outstanding! Brian Pavesi is the salesman who has taken care of me for years and he is wonderful! Not pushy, just the facts, although, he did keep telling me to take a test drive and I said I know how the Volvo drives and he said its different and OMG it was!! I highly recommend this new Volvo, the Gunther dealership and Brian!!

DO NOT purchase from this dealership. Everything they tell you is a lie. Purchased a used car and when I picked it up it still had all the previous owners documentation in the glove compartment. As well as his residential community gate code sticker. At closing they tried telling us that the warranty that we were told was included in the negotiated price would cost $1000 more. The cars computer was full of the previous owners phone numbers and contacts. I have zero faith that the service I was told was completed prior to offering the vehicle for sale was ever actually done. (One of the items checked off on the service list was : remove all traces of previous owner. Clearly that was not done. Was any of it done?). Car was delivered dirty, after they detailed it, and had to be cleaned again. They are just shady and I am sorry I ever stepped foot on the lot. Go to any other dealership that does not have Gunther in the name. This was the 2nd vehicle purchase from this dealership. The 1st was fine, but there will never be another. They just built a fancy new building and I guess they have to cut corners and fake service work to pay for it.UPDATE : Two days after purchase the battery died. I guess I have my answer on whether or not the service was actually done.UPDATE 2: Been waiting 2.5 hours for a new battery with no word. Great buying experience. F this place. Seriously.UPDATE: In response to the owners comment below: everything I have said is true. Believe it or dont. Just dont say I didnt warn you about buying a car here.

What started out be a great experience turned out to be the WORST car leasing experience we have ever had. After negotiating with our Salesman Ron, coming to a great deal and visiting the dealership for delivery the Sales Manager Brandon McIntyre refused to uphold the deal we had struck. We had signed almost all the paperwork when we were told the bottom line was not going to happen. We were not going to let them screw us over so we walked away. I had spent a lot of time and effort into making this happen and I am furious.Don’t let this happen to you. STAY AWAY from Gunther Volvo

I like all of the people at Gunther Volvo. However, my first time servicing my used Volvo that I just bought from my friend did not go as well as planned. I had to pay $202, total with shop fees and tax, to diagnose the problem. I was told that $177 would be applied towards the repair. Then after the problem was diagnosed, I was told that Gunther does not fix that particular problem in house and that it would be sent out for repair. Therefor, the service rep said that none of the $177 could be applied toward the repair. I said OK, but maybe they could kindly refund me half of the fee in that case. He was not authorized to do that for me. I later called a higher manager and a nice lady named Laura in customer service returned my call for the other manager. She said she would look into it and get back to me. I never hear back from her. I brought the car back and spoke with my service rep. He tried but could not get me any resolution.

5/6/2020 UPDATE: I FINALLY RECEIVED AN EMAIL BACK FROM THE SALESMAN BRIAN PAVESI INDICATING THAT HE WAS SORRY ABOUT THE ISSUE AND JUST TO INDICATE THAT IT WAS MY PROBLEM DUE TO VEHICLE BEING USED AND OLD (2013 MODEL YEAR). I WAS TOLD BY SHOP HERE THAT VEHICLE WAS MOST LIKELY SOLD WITH A FAULTY CATALYTIC CONVERTER(STATE REQUIREMENT) BECAUSE A CODE P0420 (BAD CATALYTIC CONVERTER) AND REASON DIDNT NOTICE PRIOR WAS DUE TO THIS DEALERSHIP REPLACING BATTERY WITH NEW WHICH RESET THE COMPUTER AND THE ENGINE LIGHT TURNED OFF AND WHEN ENGINE RECYCLED, IT CAME BACK ON AFTER CERTAIN MILES/DAYS. I EVEN REPORTED THE ISSUE TO THE GENERAL MANAGER/OWNER WHICH I NEVER HEARD FROM.CAUTIOUS WHEN LOOKING AT USED CARS AT THIS DEALER AND VW DEALER NEARBY (SAME OWNER) AS THEY DO NOT REPAIR ANY KNOWN ISSUES AND WILL PUSH TO SELL RIGHT AWAY AND GIVE YOU THE PROBLEM WITH CLEAN HANDS ON THEYRE PART WITH OUT ANY REMORSE OR ASSISTANCE.ATTORNEY GENERAL NOTIFIED OF THEYRE PRACTICES IN HOPES NO ONE ELSE FALLS VICTIM.ALSO NOTE: I ALSO HAD PREVIOUS OWNERS DOCUMENTS (ADDRESS AND PHONE NUMBERS) IN MY VEHICLE AS WELL AS FAMILY NUMBERS IN THE CUE SYSTEM WHEN I RECEIVED THAT WAS NOT ERASED. I was a out of state purchaser so I had to have the vehicle transported to me which took approx 3 weeks. Deal seemed to have gone smoothly even though I was out of state with Brian Pavesi. I paid cash and on 3/10/20, I finally received the car in which I was pleased. I visually inspected everything and a little over a week of owning, the car broke down. I checked what I could and took to repair shop. They could not figure it out so I decided to try cadillac dealer. After inspection, there were numerous things wrong with the car (tie strapped electrical in the engine, leaking valve cover gasket, a mechanics magnet stuck to bottom of block, but the worst was bad compression in (2) cylinders. Dealer stated motor was bad and I need a new motor($12K). I informed Brian P. About what happened and all he said was well, it was running good here and that was all. I said how can this big dealer allow a car to go through (even after inspection) to be sold with this many major problems, then I never heard from him again. I paid allot of money just to drive a car for a short period and now having to throw thousands more to it, thats just not right.I hope this dealer does the right thing and help for repairs on this as right now it is a brick in my garage now.Thanks Gunther Volvo/VW for selling me a lemon, so do the right thing...

For the owner of the store because if I were an owner of a place that cost over a million dollars just to keep the lights on, I would want to hear this..I messaged you guys online ( Sean Conner ) early last week for my spouse. 720 credit score, already driven the XC90 before (friend owns one), wanted numbers and wanted to make a quick decision. A sales person called me who was exceptional on the phone. He said he would get me numbers. Nothing. 2 days later. I messaged your website again. Had to give all of my info yet again, they said they would have someone call me asap. Nothing. After being fed up with waiting we went to another volvo store. They put their offer up front, I probably could have grinded them out to shave off some front end gross, but time is more important and we werent going to bark over an extra $25 bucks per month.

Five stars!! I tested a couple of cars here and could not make up my mind but the sales person was very patient with me. Finally I got my new Volvo and absolutely love it. Had some minor things to be straightened (automatic seat adjustment lever was making a noise) and got this fixed fast and easy - service department is top notch!
