My husband and I went here for the first time yesterday because Ive heard nothing but good things. We absolutely LOVED it. The staff was really sweet, quick and welcoming and the breakfast was tasty and savory. 😊 HIGHLY recommend the lavender latte. Thank you to the staff for such a great experience. Money definitely well spent and will be back soon!

I had an okay experience here. The place is small and was packed when I went there for my morning coffee. Service was great and the staff is very friendly. My order took about 20 minutes to be ready. I was about to leave when it finally was ready. It was my birthday and they couldn’t offer me any free cookies like so many other coffee shops. The place is clean. Free parking.

The Modern Rose is an excellent little cafe! It gives you that homie feeling as soon as you walk in. The staff is very friendly and make great suggestions. We tried the potato and beef empanada and it was delicious. Fried perfectly and not overly dripping of oil. The coconut banana bread was also top notch. Very moist, exactly the way you want your banana bread. They will even heat it up for you! The pumpkin iced coffee wasn’t my favorite, but I can’t really put my finger on why. Maybe it was just my taste buds that day. Overall, I would be happy to go back! I saw they had a brioche PB&J, and I am already drooling thinking about it.

A wonderful, quaint little coffee shop tucked in the Cove plaza, 5 minutes from beautiful Deerfield beach. Serving up specialty teas and coffees, pastries, breakfast sandwiches and such.We had the Bruschetta, Empanada, and a pastry. Everything was tasty, although a bit pricey.Interior of the restaurant are decorated with Victorian era artifacts. Service was decent, although rather slow. Overall, an interesting find worth another visit.

I love this little place! My husband thinks it is very feminine (LOL).The food was excellent and it is a perfect place to bring friends to enjoy breakfast or an afternoon tea.I thought the music was loud but it did not bother my daughter, who brought us here today for the first time.

The Modern Rose came highly recommended but it fell short of the expectations. The iced vanilla coffee had way too much ice and I noticed on my receipt that they charge .35 cents extra for it. Crazy since it watered down the coffee so much.Their food (we ordered Modern Egg sandwiches and empanadas) was delicious but the service needs improvement. Friendly but forgetful and not efficient. We were also given one clean and one dirty plate when we asked (for a fourth time) for plates and silverware.As for food pricing, the empanadas are ridiculously overpriced at $5 each. Surprisingly, the breakfast sandwich was reasonably priced.In short, its a cute coffee shop, but is too cramped, some items were too expensive and the service (although friendly), needs improvement.

I don’t give many 5 ⭐️ but this place is a gem. Family owned and completely inviting to any foodie. This place has charm and a unique eccentric artwork. The place is clean, great service, and the food is phenomenal. If you live in the Deerfield Pompano LHP area you should be checking this place out in the cove plaza. They have in and outdoor seating.I got the avocado toast on two separate occasions and it’s been consistent. I’d definitely try again.

This was such a great experience. From its quaint entrance to when you open the door it’s like your blasted into another little Victorian world. We decided to try both the modern avocado toast as well as the some like it spicy toast. For teas we got passion breeze and passion fruit breeze boba teas (they were all out of boba) so we opted for the Crystal bobas. Our drinks came out first. To add boba was $3 extra, that was a little pricy but I just couldn’t resist. I loved my rejuvenate tea the passionfruit one tasted a little more on the iced tea side. The toast!!! Yum yum yum. As I type this and think about all the flavors on each of these toast makes my mouth water. We both really enjoyed the modern avocado toast the fresh plump tomatoes added a nice refreshing burst of flavor. I really also enjoyed the sole like it hot toast. If I could have this exact meal in front of me right now, I would!

Chic bohemian style family run small business booming community vibes. The food is fresh, the WiFi is strong, the coffee is great and the people are friendly and cool. Hands down the best thing since sliced bread and there is no other coffee shop in South East Florida that rivals the feels of this gem. 10/10 recommend!!

This cafe is so special to me. The drinks are pure serotonin and the food is tastefully spectacular. I have been coming to this cafe since it first opened in 2017 when it was still unknown and very quiet, and to see it now with so much activity and appreciation and the recent expansion makes me so happy!!! And you can get any custom drink you like but the menu items are impressive combinations of flavors and colors, I love the dedication to making iced teas and coffees taste this good

I fell in love with their Matcha Tea and now I’m addicted. I shall continue go back and try everything on their menu, especially now that I read they have seasonal items, it’s definitely my kind of place.Staff is friendly and accommodating, yes the place is a little small but honestly that’s what makes it unique and reminds me of England. They use fresh and organic ingredients, these are hard to find nowadays.Truly a hidden gem which is my new happy place.I’d be very happy if they’d open a location in West Ft Lauderdale or around that area.Thank you for your service

I got the vegan strawberry matcha boba, the vegan bruschetta, and the vegan modern panini.The boba was definitely not traditional boba. Im not sure why I expected it to be at this hip place. Lol. The drink was good though.The vegan bruschetta was so good. Creamy on a crunchy bread and topped with refreshing tomatoes.The vegan modern panini was also good, but not as good. It was a mess to eat though. It was more filling that I thought it would be.

The Modern Rose used to be a great coffee shop for me to have a nice sit down at. It used to be lovely and the service was great. My last few experiences haven’t been the same. The employees seemed to show impatience with me whenever I asked them for something like an avocado toast, that takes time to make. As well as showing hesitance to provide me with more than one sauce when I purchased more than one empanada. I just wish this place gave me the same experience it always has but they continuously disappoint me. I’m not the type to leave bad reviews but I genuinely feel this was a very disrespectful experience on their end and you will be losing my business. I highly recommend Common Grounds as your new spot for coffee, great coffee and beautiful vibe. They also have an avocado toast they make with lots of love!

Never have I ever been to a cafe more warm and welcoming than Modern Rose. I feel looked after even when they are crazy busy and the Caramel brûlée tea and the modern egg sandwich are my favorites. The staff always communicates with the customers to ensure that you are never forgotten about. I recommend going during the week so you have your pick of seating. It’s smaller and intimate. The decor is unique and whimsical, you can really tell that the owner and managers care deeply about every aspect of the business. You will not regret going to Modern Rose, (they are the best cafe in South Florida for a reason). I’ll be back :)

My friends have raved about this place for years and I finally went this past weekend - I am angry with myself for waiting so long. The cafe is as cozy and charming as was everyone I interacted with - it was like chatting with an old friend. I had an off menu tea affogato that made me feel like I was on a mini vacation. The scone was delicious and the spicy pork and pineapple empanada I took to go was phenomenal several hours later. I live 40 min away and am looking for any excuse to be in the area now so I can stop back by and try everything on the menu. If you live nearby - no excuses go check it out!

I absolutely love all the decorations. It’s such a cute spot to come eat and have a coffee or tea or iced drink. Especially with how hot it’s been, my drink was refreshing.I got the avocado toast and he got the almond butter toast with the berries on top. Both were delicious. Today I got the avocado toast again. One of the slices were a little too crunchy. It was the smaller piece, but other than that it was good.For drinks I fell in love with the banana chai tea latte iced! Today’s had dried banana chips and I thought that touch was genius! And he had the hot caramel mocha and it was delicious.5 stars all around. Great service, great ambience, delicious foods and drinks. Yum!

Incredible charming cafe on the Cove Shopping Center plaza in Dearfield Beach. The place is not big but has a vibrant atmosphere. The coffee shop’s design is unique and looks like an antique cafe somewhere in Europe. The coffee is great, that is not ’drive through ’ quality, although you can order to go. The tea variety is impressive. Different Avocado toasts and pastries will make a perfect breakfast. The Modern Rose is family run and you will feel it from the moment of entering the cafe. We definitely recommend this place and proud of a great example of local business.

This cute tea shop has the most friendly staff, delicious beverages and yummiest pastries. In my first visit I just took a bit of time to stand and look around because the decor is adorable. The staff are very awesome. My friend and I accidentally had each others pastries because it looked alike, and a worker there that overheard me not liking my friends muffin brought me the one I liked as a gift. They’re super sweet and this place is on my weekly list.P.S. They don’t use plastic straws and have so many vegan options!

This is the best coffee I ever had in the entire State of Florida. I’m a coffee aficionado and have never tried anything like this before. The coffee shop is super cozy and the staff is very friendly.

I used to love this place especially with their old owners but the new ones made so many horrible changes that ruined the entire welcoming vibe of this place. The food is still pretty much the same but way more expensive and the service is horrible. This used to be my FAVORITE place to be but now I can’t even stand it. I’ve given both locations multiple tries and every time they disappoint me. I’m done trying.

I had been looking for a cafe like this for a while and boy am I glad to have found this cozy little gem. Food is amazing and teas are out of this world. The service is what amazes me the most. I have diet restrictions and I’ve never experienced anything like this, they always get my orders right and are super careful and if they need clarifications, they call to confirm.

Great Americano, I was most impressed. Aida (hopefully I spelled that right) the barista, way very friendly. They seem to have a decent menu. Pretty, pretty good.

A shame that a place as highly rated and recommended could have such mediocre service. After paying dearly for two coffees and two pastries for here waited ten minutes for pastries to be brought out to our table; without the coffees. Was able to finish our pastries and stare at the counter for another ten minutes before finally requesting to take the coffee to go. The speed and quality of service are not reflected by the exorbitant prices. Its too bad really because I wanted to love this place. Instead I wont be back.

This place has the best iced green tea you can find. Tea pro here, dont even think about going to another place the teas organic freshly brewed in front of you and just tastes really great, ive had tea in many places like this but they are not the same this is a true gem, one of a kind and Ive now become a regular here. The staff is super cool and really go above and beyond. You wont find care and customer service like this elsewhere.

The Modern Rose is a hidden gem in a shopping plaza. I came to try some tea lattes because of the great google reviews and I was not disappointed. I ordered a creamy tea latte and my boyfriend the banana chia tea latte. Both were delicious and came in cute mugs served to our table. They offer milk alternatives like almond milk, coconut milk, and oat milk. The decor was dainty and feminine with an antique vibe. The shop is small inside but there were not too many people in the shop at the time because it was raining so we were able to find a seat. I wish I had space in my belly to try more of their drinks and their food but I just didnt have it. I dont live close by, but wish I did. Will definitely stop by again if Im in the area.

Today I went back to Dalray because today they also have closed in Deerfield they dont even have avocado for the toasts I paid parking for my car at all Im sorry even if the food is delicious I dont waste my time anymore😡

Have been wanting to visit this little gem of a spot in The Cove for a while, and Im so glad I finally did! From the wall decor & furnishings, to the music and tableware this place is perfectly put together. I was greeted warmly upon entering, and chose a comfy couch near the front to take in the scene. Its the kind of place you can pop into quickly for a bite and drink, or while away the hours lost in a book, sipping a pot of tea. I will definitely be going back!

Uniquely curated by a husband and wife power couple, The Modern Rose has taken a formerly small space and created a vintage wonderland within the Deerfield Beach community. Their hard work and dedication is evident because they are always on-site supporting their staff, who also do a great job at holding it down. If their leadership is strong, imagine how good the coffee and tea is! Definitely an attraction & coffee shop hybrid. Terrible experience, cold coffee, wrong order, took over 20 minutes and it was cold when it came, plus took 20 minutes to make a drip coffee, a simple regular coffee.. service was average

I can not say enough great things about this place. The ambiance is just darling, it looks and feels like love in there. Great energy from the owners and the employees. Always top of the line customer service and the quality of the food and drinks are just amazing... Numerous vegan options too which are all delicious! Even if youre not vegan Id definitely recommend trying some of the vegan options there because theyre literally just too good to not try. They even have vegan whipped cream for lattes :) The Modern Rose is the exact kind of café youd want to find in any/every city. Great service, great products, and an environment you could sit in all day. 10/10 every time.

The food (some like it spicy/hot toast) and coffee sooooo yummy!I will say the one located at the Delray market is not the same quality as the original in Deerfield. Quality at Delray not the same. Stick to the original place & you won’t regret it!

This cafe is one of the best cafes I have been to. The owner, Emilio, is a nice person. He and his staff were accommodating, welcoming and friendly. The food and service were great and reasonably priced. We loved the tea collection they had. I highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area. We are definitely going to visit again.

Im so in love with this place and its only my first time here! I took my mom here on a lunch date and we ordered the french cheese bruschetta and the hummus naan and the herbal iced teas ... so delicious and didnt feel heavy at all very light . the service was excellent very nice, joyful,happy atmosphere. please go and try it you wont be disappointed

It was mothers day. I bring my wife and children for my first visit. I ask for the item I see advertised in there menu and they said they dont make it anymore.They advertise that there open until 3PM. I get there at 2:30 and they refused to serve me. It was my first time at The Modern Rose and it will be my last!

Although the drinks can be a bit expensive, it is totally worth it! They are big and delicious. I recommend the Blue Maui with Matcha boba. With the food, the French bruschetta thing was amazing. It wasn’t too salty but it wasn’t too bland. Definitely recommend it!

Organic and really great options including a tumeric and maple syrup shot that was tasty as helpful. Its an anti-inflammatory I had a strained rib. Kayleigh was super knowledgeable and helpful and friendly.

The drink was really bitter and almost entirely ice. The service was good but the tea was not up to par. $19 for two drinks that were mediocre is not worth it to me at all.

I really appreciate this place. Their owner is super cool and the fact that he also operates the place gives it that authentic touch of an owner/operator business. I recommend their take on the dirty chai latte, and their fried egg grill cheese. I can’t wait to try all the different items on their menu. Keep up the excellent work guys. Called 3x since 2:30 to make sure they were open. Nobody answered. Still drove over and found that they were open. Got there at 2:57. Apparently they close today at 3 maybe due ti Menorial Day. There were at least 12 people sitting in the dining room chatting and eating. There was one person in front of me in line paying but due to the cashier answering the phone 3 times I did not get attended until 3:05. No big deal right? Wrong. I asked for an avocado toast and was told that the kitchen was already closing down. Wouldn’t be such a big deal other than the fact that I’m prego and was really craving it. Sucks that my call was never answered and that they declined to fill my order because they were in a rush to close up. Not a good feeling. Guess I’ll go fill my craving elsewhere.

So me and my girl decided to come by and try, The Modern Rose, on our anniversary for the first time. Being that we try different spots consistently for new dining experiences, we never really come into new places with expectations high or low. Had too many experiences with over hyped places being average at best. BUT that is definitely not the case here at Modern Rose. The empanadas are cooked to flakey and crispy perfection. The avocado toast is golden brown and seasoned to really capture that enjoyable feeling of the first bite into your food. I didn’t get the chance to catch the owners name (at least i think it was the owner) but speaking with him for the brief moment wile he served tables, took orders and engage with all the guest. You can feel that this is a place being taken care of someone who cares about good business, good food, and good company.5 Stars all around and we really look forward to coming back.

Have you been searching up and down for a hipster tea shop that’s an Instagram lover’s paradise? Ta-da!!This place is so cute it hurts. There are vintage trinkets, household goods and tons of tea. Their little cafe includes 1920’s era chairs, velvety cushions and adorable signs. The entire store/Cafe is a hipster’s dream.The tea is delightful and thoughtfully blended. The flavors are rich and complex and nothing is artificial tasting. We also had excellent quiche and a sweet dessert. The owner was highly attentive, friendly and welcoming. I left The Modern Rose eager for my next return. I can’t wait to go back and bask in the vintage-hipster-European-instagram glory while trying more teas. Definitely going to take some tea home on my next visit!

A year later and still rocking it! Stopped by for their two-year anniversary. I stop in regularly and absolutely love their avocado toast- best food and service anywhere.I love Modern Rose! Their staff is friendly, the care they take in presenting amazing teas and noshes is appreciated. With my sweet tooth, their selection of sweets keeps me coming back. I highly recommend this gem to anyone.

Like a silly goose, I did not check the open hours today so I just waltzed in like a dork when they were closed and actually having a sweet little family get together. Nevertheless, even though I insisted on how bad I felt for just walking in & not knowing, they made me feel so welcome & kindly made me a drink in spite of it, all the while reminding me that “we’re a family.” I love this place as it is but this particular interaction with the owner & his stupendous staff has really warmed my heart. I had their modern egg sandwich and my mom had the avocado toast and both were so great and well worth the price. Romantic atmosphere, delicious mozarella panini and decent coffee. Can’t wait to come back here!!!

When you walk in, you are greeted with a gorgeous concoction of aromas and an inviting setting, defined by candles and dim lights. Its a perfect place to relax, read a book, or work. The staff that works here know everything a person could know on Tea, and they are incredibly nice. The tea I ordered was a Brooklyn Black Tea and it was fantastic. I definitely recommend this place.

Wonderfully charming. The food is amazing and the setting is beautiful. Great place to enjoy a healthy, quick bite while you read or get a little work done.

YOU NEED TO GO HERE! From the aesthetic to the awesome food, this is one of my favorite places in south Florida. They have vegan & gluten free options which is sooooo hard to find! Their menu continues to expand and food/beverages get better and better.

Going somewhere with a nice aesthetic is so wonderful and relaxing, top that off with the amazing treats to eat and awesome staff and it’s the ultimate place to enjoy your time :) I love the all the teas and options on the menu. Anything Tuscan WILL BE amazing, every time. (my fave)I like to mix teas and they’re always super cool and easy about my editing the menu 😂Without a doubt one of my favorite spots ❤️
