I took my truck in for a simple wheel and tire swap, just one set for another set, the most simple tire related job you could possibly do. Today I am 600 miles away from home and stop, and I am missing not one not two BUT SIX LUG NUTS 3 on one wheel alone, I immediately took my truck to a local Toyota dealer, not only were the lug nuts missing but the ones that were still on the vehicle were almost HAND TIGHT! Not only sass that an issue the staff at this location are some of the most unprofessional people I have ever met in my entire life. When directed to the service dept in the back, I was told “ well what are you gonna do bout it “ I am at a loss forwords, the one job at at a tire shop that is BEYOND CRUCIAL and they literally couldn’t do it. I 100% do not recommend taking anything to this shop.

The entire team was friendly, and they were eager to get my issues resolved. I’ll definitely come back to this location, and I recommend that others visit this location as well.

I was there recently to get four new tires.Super nice staff and they were very responsive, both on the phone and in person. It seemed a bit expensive, but Im guessing thats just the way of the world, these days. They didnt totally tighten the lug nuts on one tire so it made a horrible noise when I was driving off and they had to quickly tighten them up on the fly.So, to recap:Super nice folks.Bit pricey, but hey, what do I know.They failed at one of the most important parts of changing a tire.

This is an excellent Mavis location. I have previously gone to the other location up the street, but the service there was slipping significantly. Today I was serviced by the lovely Mr. George and Ms. Taye and have had a wonderful experience. They were doing great juggling a busy day and the needs of each customer. Customer service here is outstanding. I had a flat tire in the area but live on the opposite of town, so I was a walk-in who needed to wait for my vehicle. Although short-handed with techs, Brandon immediately offered assistance and handled my issue within minutes. Even the ladies handling the front desk were professional and friendly. Although I don’t live in the area, I will support this business as often as I can.

I have never encountered the helpfulness and professionalism of Mavis Tires and Brakes on Church. I would happily drive out of the way if I ever have any future issues. I would first like to start by saying that I have been a die hard NTB fan for many years. As of a few years ago, Mavis bought out NTB and broke my heart. I questioned the type of quality employees that Mavis had to offer since many of the previous staff who had serviced me was gone in my area. Today I went to the Mavis Tires on Church street and I must say that I was thoroughly impressed. I was presented with excellent customer service from start to finish. The front desk staff greeted me with a smile, the service manager kept me informed at all times on the status of my vehicle, and the waiting area was positively clean. As per any vehicle servicing I expected to have a long wait because no one wants there car fixed in the time it takes to make coffee. And If you do then youll always be at the mechanic shop. Today however, my wait time was extremely reasonable. They had me in and out within an hour. They didnt haggle me about unnecessary parts and maintenance but simply made suggestions and gave me all the information I needed to make the decision. I HIGHLY recommend this location for all your vehicle needs or simply a friendly neighborhood smile. Mavis, youve made a loyal customer out of me. See you next time!

Scammed my wife out of about $100. She went in for a slow puncture. They gouged her for $180.. by their own website it should cost $115. We also had a special tires for life which should have reduced the price, they refused to honor their own service. No point booking an appointment. You’ll be waiting 4 hours for them to even start. They had an old lady almost in tears cus she had an appointment but they were running 3 hours late. They couldn’t care less that they had ruined her day. Waste of time and a scam.

Usually don’t write reviews, but I had to this time. Went to another car maintenance store to check out my brakes as they were squeaking. They told me to replace the rotors would be close to $500. I came here for a second opinion and it was over $300 cheaper to fix and replace. Definitely make sure you have plenty of time to spare, but these guys are great. Highly recommend.

I lost a tire on 400 south during the 5 oclock rush hour home. I called the folks at my local Mavis on Church St and they got me right in. As expected there was a short wait but Hershel got me back to safety in no time. Thanks for keeping me safe. Every one was so very nice even though they had a VERY difficult lady on their hands. Not sure why they have you schedule an appointment if they can not honor that time. I had a 9 am appt for new tires and by 11 am it had not been taken into the garage. Glad I will be spending my $$ elsewhere. Mavis should respect others time. They don’t even have the tires at the business after I spoke to Marcus to assure they would be there . I do not recommend this business and would be suspicious of all these great reviews.

As I was driving in to work, I stopped at a red light and felt my car go lopsided. Got out to check both tires on passenger side had flats. Great location to go for service! I had a small issue while was in the area and needless to say Church st mavis has been my shop of choice since then! I drive from McDonough just to get my service because that’s where I’m comfortable doing business. Always great service and better prices. I live close to a Mavis but the team at church street is why I drive that far. They are unmatched in customer service by far. Marcus runs the show and his team supports him and that’s why it works. Online scheduling is a waste and customer service is a joke. Scheduled brake work and steering alignment for 9 am. Called at 1pm and inquired about status. Victor put me on hold for long time, only to be disconnected. Called back and Victor answered. I mentioned the long wait and being hung up on and he argued that I wasnt hung up on and stated he had a customer at the counter. I guess me being a customer was not as important. Anyway, he then said my vehicle was the next to go in a bay. Ive been a long time customer there and will look elsewhere going forward.

I have a Mini Cooper and it’s always hard to find good reliable prices and work for my car. TJ the manager was able to get me a great price on my tires and had the oil filter for my car. Great expeditious service and transparent prices. Now I’m ready for my trip to Miami 🥰

They are blatant liars and thieves stay far away!!. I bought 2 brand new Goodyear tires from Mavis online and thought I got a good deal. LESS THAN A WEEK LATER 1 TIRES SIDE WALL BLEW OUT ON THE HIGHWAY! THEY TOLD ME THAT I DECLINED THE WARRANTY WHICH I WAS NEVER OFFERED BY THE MANAGER. HER WORD AGAINST MINE AND IM OUT OF $130 JUST LIKE THAT!! SMART HUSTLE SELL DEFECTIVE TIRES, OFFER NO WARRANTY & SCREW WHOEVER YOU CAN! I WAS ALSO TOLD I NEEDED REAR BRAKES AND ROTORS WHEN I ONLY NEED BRAKE PADS!

I brought my Nissan Leaf in to repair a flat tire which I had temporarily patched with the manufacturer’s included patch kit, following the owner’s manual instructions. Mavis claimed the tire was now unrepairable due to the sealant, and that it had messed up the beads. Google says this is complete nonsense, and it also contradicts the owner’s manual. Mavis said the only option was to buy a new tire; at this point I had no way to take it anywhere else, of course. I felt coerced and ripped off. Never again.

This was the first time I used this store, and my experience on 10/15/21 wasnt what one would expect (neither about 6 other customers during my 5 1/2 hour wait inside the store).To start, I was told it would take 2 hours to replace all four tires, balancing, and alignment. It took 5 1/2 hours (no exaggeration) and the work was very lousy.After being told my car was ready and having paid the invoice, a tech step into the waiting room to tell the front desk that the alignment wasnt done. As I overheard this comment, I approached the front desk and they had to refund me that amount.As I keep waiting for someone to pull my car to the front, I was notified that it was being blocked by another car and techs where working on getting out of the way. 15 mins passed and I went outside to see whats going on, saw the car blocking my car and no techs working on moving the car that was blocking mine. Another tech (who I assume was a supervisor of some sort) saw me looking at my car while shaking my head and yelled at techs to work on moving that car blocking mine, which they did in 2 mins.Mightve been one of those off-days for this location, but I personally would avoid going back to that location. How do I miss the old Kauffman Tire; the old location I used to take my cars to for years also went downhill after it became Marvis.

Incredible customer service. Got a flat tire right before heading out on a road trip. Came in when they were busy, but they rushed me through knowing that I had to hit the road. Really helped me out in a pinch, and that gets five stars add day. Thanks again!

Nothing but praise here. I ran over a rather large landscaping rock that fell off a truck in front of me, bubbling the front tire and totally flattening the back. This location had the earliest appointments, my exact matching tires and a great price. I arrived to my 9:00 am appointment about 15 minutes early, was greeted in a professional and friendly manner by the staff and was on my way in a little more than an hour. The guys always kept me up to date on my vehicles status and kept checking with me to see if I was good with the wait or needed anything. Ive waited longer at other places for far less and with less customer focus.....Id definitely recommend this location to anyone.

Took 3.5 hours to change my front brakes. Two hours in I was informed that I wasn’t properly checked in to their system so they weren’t even aware of the service I needed. Then they told me that they would need to order brakes. I called ahead and asked if this was a service they could provide and I was told to come in. Absolutely insane. Just go somewhere else. The only saving grace was that my brakes no longer grind and I got a slim discount. Will never come back.

Someone at this store broke my daughters window during an oil change and refused to take responsibility.My daughter dropped her car off at 9:30 for an oil change. After not hearing anything for several hours, she called and they said it wouldn’t be ready until 5:30. She should have been told it would take this long up front but no big deal. She is usually not one to complain and avoids confrontation if at all possible.However, when she picked up the car she noticed the window had a large crack. They tried to tell her it was because it was out in the sun all day and must have already had a small crack. This is absolutely not true but it is their word against hers. Customer service completely blew us off and would not return multiple phone calls. I highly recommend going somewhere else for car repair.

Came in to get my tires changed at about 10am. I was told the waitlist isn’t that long and they would be done at 12. Since I have somewhere to be at 1pm. They lied before but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Guess what ?! My car wasn’t even getting worked on. I called them and while she was supposed to check on my car, they put me on hold not knowing i was looking at them the whole time. The lady was over there chatting and not even checking on my car. They should change their name to “Mavis Late for Tires and Brakes”.If you have lot of hours to waste or wanna be lied to, please I beg you to go to this location. Ridiculous

The WORST. Went here 4 times attempting to get services. The workers were ghetto and acted like they didnt want to take my car for even an appointment. Last straw was I went to get my tire pressure sensor programmed. Sat for hours to ONLY then be told their machine isnt working. This place needs to be shut down. Im definitely going to complain because as a woman I feel discriminated against.

With respect to performing wheel alignments, the Mavis Tire & Brake Store on Church St. is, at best, lacking the technical proficiency and does shoddy and inept work and, at worst, is a rip off and clearly dishonest. Mavis Tire on Church St. recently did a front end alignment on my car. The only adjustment that can be aligned on my car is the toe-in; the camber and caster are automatically set by the struts and the frame of the car. After Mavis aligned my front wheels, the steering wheel did not position itself at 9 to 3 when driving straight; it positioned itself at 8 to 2. I returned to Mavis a month later after the wheel alignment and informed them that they needed to check the toe-in alignment again and make sure that the steering wheel was correctly positioned at 9 to 3. When Mavis called me to tell me my car was ready in the late afternoon, they informed me that my outer tie rods and my Macpherson struts were in need of replacing and that they could not properly align the toe-in. I then picked up the car without having Mavis do any further work on it and asked them why they did not find the tie rod and strut issues when they first did the toe-in alignment a month ago. They never provided a good explanation. Two days later, I took my car to my regular repair shop and had them check the tie rods and struts for wear and for whether there was anything that the tie rods and/or struts affected with respect to aligning the front tires and adjusting the toe-in. As I suspected, the mechanics at my regular repair shop found nothing whatsoever wrong or worn out concerning the struts and tie rods and that there was no reason why the toe-in could not be properly adjusted. Consequently, I concluded that Mavis either does not have knowledgeable and skillful technicians or that Mavis is out to rip off its customers by dishonestly trying to sell them repairs and parts that they dont need. For my part, I will never go back to Mavis on Church St.

I had a great experience at the Church st. Decatur location. I came in for an oil change and tire rotation. I ask if they could check my brakes, which I was sure needed work. After the the examination I was told that I didnt need brakes but a brake system flush was suggested. I am so grateful for that level of honesty. And I will certainly be back!!

This review is for the Decatur, GA Church Street location. Sequoia at the Front Desk is amazing and really the face, personality and attitude needed for the business and she is 5 star quality! Reason for low review is the inept management, lack of respect for peoples time, nonchalant attitude, questionable pricing for same service from week to week. My first experience in Mid-June 2021 was great as the manager on shift was timely, and when there were delays he would personally come to the waiting area to apologize for the delays and give us anticipatory guidance on next steps, progress etc. I unfortunately do not remember his name but he hasnt been there since Ive been back and the last three times the manager Marcus was on shift. He has a nice personality but in my opinion he should not be in a management role. The workers who are doing all the heavy lifting that Ive encountered are nice, respectful but can only operate with the efficiency set forth by management which is subpar. My last experience there is my last!! Appointment times are not honored and I had to wait for over 3 hours and still not get my problem addressed. I noticed the corporate number to call based on other negative reviews and while at the shop I tried to reach a human being at corporates number with no success, I was on hold for over 20 minutes even after automated messaging stating I was first in line, even option to leave voicemail didnt work as I kept going round in circles and didnt get to talk to anyone. So maybe the problem is inherently systemic within the company itself. On 7/23 a lot of customers left really upset after waiting hours and cars still not moved to the work area and no apologies from manager Marcus. Ive sat there on two occasions with customers coming back complaining about tires blowing out on highway, flat tires that are new repeatedly getting flat etc. Pricing seems to be arbitrary and suspicious at times. If everyone who was there this past Friday wrote reviews the place would need to be temporarily shut down at best to figure out what is going on. Im utterly disgusted and disappointed. Suggestions to bring back the manager that was there the weekend of June 12th I believe or honestly make Sequoia the manager and have Marcus at the front desk. Youve lost a customer and so many more. I hope corporate you answer my call when I try calling this week and Ill be able to address additional concerns with a human being.

Made an appt at 10am for brakes. Was told that it would be a 2 hour wait with an appt. Was asked where my lock key was for my tires which is in the car. Apparently they couldnt find the key and broken locks without asking me to check first. After 1 pm someone came and asked if I still wanted my brakes done. Had I not been heading out of town, I would have refused services.

Had a great experience here! Was having issues with my tire pressure sensor and Isiah worked with me to get it right and sent me on my way. Super friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back. DO NOT GO HERE! Not only did they charge me for a repair that they did not fix, but they also caused additional damages to my car - $600 in damages to additional parts. I know this b/c my car was smoking when they called me to say it was fixed and ready for pickup. I immediately went to a different mechanic, who said that they used the cheapest and thinnest aftermarket replacement part AND that they broke the parts they had to remove in order to fix the original part. My car left with MORE ISSUES than when I brought it to them - and it cost me dearly. DO NOT GO HERE - they are unprofessional and unaccountable - simply dishonest.
