Unbelievable variety, ery organized and excellent customer service

First time in. I was surprised by the selection available. A good mix of new and used with some obscure albums as well. I found an LP that I couldnt find elsewhere (aside from online for 30% more.) The staff was friendly and helpful. Ive been to a handful of record shops in metro Detroit... This one ranks at the top.

Overall, best music store in Detroit area. Knowledgeable and really friendly and helpful staff. HUGE selection of used vinyl and a large selection of new. A little pricier on used, but only because quality is consistently good.

Everyone is super helpful and very nice. I love this store so much. I visit almost every week. A few times i lost track of time and no one said a word to me and it was after closing time. Love you guys!!🎶🎵🎶

Best place to ever go too. Its like a time capsule. Going back into time if you were born in the 70s 60s and 80s staff is great. Place I would like to go back again

Huge selection but their organization is confusing. If youre looking for a particular artist, you may have to search multiple areas. I dont like how they separate by used, new and collectibles. Just sort by artist name. Otherwise really cool place with nice employees. Good vibes all around

Ask them to plug in and demo any used equipment. I live 3 hours away from Dearborn. We drove out there just for this record store. I bought a turn table for $150 that was discounted for an open box. When I plugged it in, the motor growled like crazy. As it turns out, this is a common manufacturer defect with this turn table. They were kind enough to extend the 15 day guarantee to accommodate my distance. The problem is, it cost me $50 round trip, and it’ll cost me another $50 round trip to return it. $100 in fuel to buy and return a $150 record player. I should have asked them to demo it for me before I bought it, but I trusted that they had already tested it since it had been returned once before. Because of this, I see it as equal blame on my end and theirs. My guess is that someone bought this brand new and defective, returned it, and it was discounted $30 and put back on the shelf to be sold to me. It may even get out back on the shelf and sold again when I return it. Great record store, staff isn’t super friendly but at least they’re helpful. Demo any used equipment first unless you’re close enough to return it.

This store is fantastic! Large array of records, cds and memorabilia. The owner however is terrible. While I was browsing, he berated his employees treating them terribly, and almost yelling at them. And the employees were college age. No reason to be rude to anyone.

Decent selection I guess, but just not very friendly. Wandered around for about 30 minutes without as much as a hello or can I help you. Just left and went to Rock of Ages and spent my money somewhere they at least were polite

I havent been here in at least 2 years, decided to visit on a whim. It has had the biggest upgrade in the BEST way!!! So many CDs, shirts, vinyls of all types of music. Not to mention so many novelty items of such great quality! Dont sleep on this place, its one of the best music stores around!!!

Friendly service. Neat, organized with 45s, LPs CDs according to genre. Found what I was looking for among the 45s which were reasonably priced. Definitely returning.

Bait and switched me. Dont buy online and check your vinyl before you buy to verify its the correct version.

The place is a shrine to music. A Dearborn institution. Im in there every time Im back home.

When you go in there the employees are very nice but kind and theyre very helpful every time you go in there they help you find CDS records they even look in the computer and see if they can order them and if not you know we can but theyre very friendly people every time you go in there and they have patience with their customers and treat like family almost

Super accommodating shop. Very excellent customer service. I was accidentally sent a reissue of a vinyl record and they had no problem taking it back. Would happily buy from them again.

The experience of visiting this excellent record and cd store cant be overstated. Our whole family had a great time browsing the new and used section of vinyl as well as discussion music with strangers. Will be back!

Great selection. Ive visited on a whim in person and found what I was looking for. Ordered a second time online for pickup in store and the guy working the service desk was great. I will definitely be coming back in the future even though this place is across town.

Dearborn Music is everything a record store should be and more! They have a very generous CD and Vynil collection to browse plus DVDs and Blu ray. The staff is amazing, knowledgeable and friendly. They also carry music decor and audio gear which are high quality, mainly from audioengine.

I was in Michigan two weeks ago and visited Dearborn Music for the first time. I was looking forward to it because I have heard great things for some time now. That said, I found my experience somewhat disappointing. Although they have an excellent selection of new vinyl, the prices on their used vinyl are quite inflated. It always irritates me when I go to a record store and they act as though we dont know that Discogs exists. Sorry, Im not going to give you $60 for a record that usually goes for $40. Im going to pass on vendor mall prices every time. If youre in Dearborn, you might check this store out, but I dont suggest making a special trip to do so as I did.

Loved the store and great customer service. Wonderful variety of items, and lots of vinyls at great prices. Organization of titles can be a bit overwhelming, but thumbing through more leads to finding more that you want to buy so good business move.

This is my favorite music store. I try to go here at least once a month. They almost always have the new releases in stock which you wont find anywhere else.I docked a star because they are quite pricey in some cases and I wish they world restock on some of their t-shirts. Need more larges.
