They recently really stepped up their coffee game. As a frequent visitor for about 4 years, their coffee has consistently been good for the past few years. The milk is steamed well and the Lavender syrup taste good (not perfume like AT ALL) and the coffee itself is strong without tasting burnt.It’s hard to always find a seat, but the golden rule of all coffee shops is to lurk awkwardly for a few minutes and wait for someone to get up. Works every time.

Had a really delicious lavender honey oatmilk matcha latte here! The indoor and outdoor seating is ample with outlets available throughout indoors. The community seems to be really consistent at this cafe, since my hour spent saw many people enter and greeting each other. Due to this, it can be quite loud inside. I enjoyed my light ice latte and thought the price was reasonable; strange that they did not have water available for refillable water bottles; bottled water was expensive. The blueberry muffin I was told was made in house! Warmed up, it was a nice treat, but served on a paper plate. Overall, the space is great and my latte was good, so I would return. However, it did feel very clique-y and frequented by students.

Five stars for the staff who made a fresh pot of coffee for us at the end of the day without being asked to and who were amazingly kind and accurate. Five stars for the piping hot coffee, excellent flavor! Parking is a little challenging but you should be OK if you’re willing to park and walk

Im biased towards coffee shops but honestly gotta give it a 1/5. The place had good prices but gotta say there was next to no matcha in the matcha latte and the in-house coffee was not very good either.

Delicious assortment of coffees and teas, with small but tasty array of sandwiches and pastries. The baristas are cordial, sincere, and conscientious. The atmosphere is casual, pleasing, and comfortable. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite coffee cafes!

Dominated by hipster retro people that dont want to be talked to unless you know know Morrisseys new album. The coffee tastes like dirt and the bathrooms smell horrible is hard to find a spot to get work done or study when its busy staff sometimes forgets to give u ur drink as well

Let me just start by saying that I understand we’re dealing with a pandemic, lack of employees and shortage of supplies. But this place sets a new low standard for themselves every single time I visit. Called ahead today before work for coffee and croissant that took them 40 minutes to complete and wasn’t even warm when I received it. The gentleman on the phone told me my order will be ready in 3-4 minutes. Can we please not lie to customers and can we please set proper expectations. I clearly ordered ahead because I had to be at work which I was late too, this is unacceptable and it’s not the first time. Let’s show some respect and professionalism to people. Unfortunately I will no longer be giving this place my business!

Nice coffee shop close to home. Excellent variety of pastries -sweet and savory as well as teas and of course, coffee! I tried the honey walnut croissant with brie and cream cheese. It was decadent! I also had a peppermint hot cocoa that was yummy. There were a variety of games and tables for people to work or play. I sat at the upholstered chairs facing each other with great urban photography of Detroit. It ws nice but I was wanting a homey, cozy feel.

Great experience! Im from Birmingham, AL visiting a friend up in Michigan. Ive worked with coffee for several years and currently run a shop. The coffee here is very smooth and has a great flavor. The barista was super nice and very knowledgeable about the products he was serving as well. I would definitely recommend this shop and will for sure be coming back if Im ever in Michigan again

Stumbled upon this gem a few months ago when I really wanted some good coffee in my area. I have to restrain myself from ordering from here every day, its so good. Unique lattes and the BEST macarons in some pretty unique flavors. A great local coffee shop to support.

Came in here on a whim and was absolutely blown away. This little coffee shop had amazing food, treats, and most of all coffee. The barista was handling the shop all by himself and did a fantastic job, not to mention he was very kind. The shop was not too loud and had a very academic atmosphere, easy to study or work in. Well put together and a friendly place that I will be returning to!

The coffee shop had a good atmosphere and there was a lot of people there. It was a tad cramped but I liked it. It was clean and comfortable. The vibe is really chill. I didnt notice if there was much background music, but it was really cool. I would recommend it to anyone who asks. Theres free parking in the back and the whole strip is very cool clean and new.

My first time visiting this place. Had a meeting with one of my colleagues. The setting was great! The coffee was excellent! The service was exceptional! Special shoutout to Tyler who is was just excellent. He was personal, engaging, energetic, and brings a whole lot of character to the establishment. It also helps that he is passionate about coffee. I will definitely be back. I plan on having more meetings at this place.

Tasty cappuccino, friendly environment, delicious thyme croissant and great atmosphere to study, chill and socialize. Some guests are noisy though and would disturb your calm. I would recommend to put signs to keep it down!Great guitar music player on Sundays. Keep it up!

Went to the airport location out of desperation and I was pleasantly surprised. Very rich and unique tasting Americano. This sounds like an insult and I promise it is not, please read on, but there are some coffees that almost seem pungently bad at first sip and then on the second sip or second cup its your favorite. Its sort of like that in a very good way. Avoid Starbucks burnt taste and other places and get the real thing here.

I really love the ambiance here and the coffee is a great alternative to the chain joints around town. I was really happy to see they have a location at Metro Airport now, too! While I love the coffee and ambiance I feel the service can be hit or miss. A year or two back the staff was solid, friendly and engaging every time I went in (back then I was going in daily). Now when I go in I feel as though Im bothering them and they want to get the transaction over as soon as possible. I dont go in every day as I used to the last time I was in town so could of just been I went on some off days. All-in, they have a nice latte, food options, and beans you can purchase to have at home which was desperately needed in the Dearborn area.

I like the aesthetics of Common Grace. It doesnt look like most other coffee shops as it has a more minalistic/modern feel to it. What I really like though is how big the tables are. There is definitely plenty of room to sprawl out and get some work done here. I got an Americano and it was pretty good.

It wasnt very clean or tidy, only one garbage can inside and the lid was disgusting! The barista was friendly, but the coffee was luke warm. Im not trying to be rude, just being honest !!

Great coffee shop! They have several options for dietary needs within the variety of snacks and milk options to add to your drink. Staff is always nice and patient but not in a fake way. The musics always good and they have plenty of seats and outlets☑️✌️They also make beautiful cups of coffee, wish I had a picture but I was too busy drinking it😉!

Please do something about the people who come here to study. This isnt a library! Every time my husband and I want a place to get cup of coffee on a Saturday morning or after a nice dinner in the area, I dont even suggest Common Grace anymore because every single time that weve walked in, there were people hogging tables for hours with their laptops and headphones. There should be a no laptop policy so more people can come in on a nice lunch or dinner date. Also, I dont like the white walls. Thats the only thing I love about Starbucks. Their decor is very cozy and it makes you wanna spend the $5 on a cappuccino or whatever. For me, this place is a strong no.

Great service and nice place to study. You also get student discount. Good variety of drinks and cafe type food available. I’ve tried the macaroons which are decent (my standard is macaroons in Paris so nothing comes close to that). The serving staff is very nice.

The coffee here is amazing. The staff is friendly and theyre open pretty late! This place is cool and is always busy as a result so unless youre down to share a table with a new face or wait for a spot, you should plan to have your drink to go... although Ive never had to wait long for a seat. I usually end up sitting down before my drink is even made. I always get a bag of their fresh coffee for home. Its hard to go back to store bought coffee after having Common Grace.

Staff is too into one another and being behind the counter rather than providing great customer service. The coffee is good, space is bigger than most shops but not really inviting. The artwork is great but I dont think Ill ever visit again.

Decent coffee, but my latte was not as hot as I expected and the price was not worth it. $4.25 for a simple 12 oz latte, plus an extra $1 to make the latte decaf. Ive never been charged extra for decaf before.

This is a good coffee shop, added to all the great coffee joints we frequent, yet they definitely bring another fuel to the fire. Their staff is great and when you sit alone, you are not disturbed by anyone, especially when you bring your headsets. The food has a flavor of their own. I have never been a fan of coffee joints as they dilute the food SERVICE industry where you are actually being served by a person from the time you enter until the time you leave. If your forte is being secluded away from the mainstream in this crazy mainstream mentality, then this place is for you. If his chest were a cannon he would have shot his heart unto him. I love your coffee and only wish the best for you!

Some of the best Craft Coffee I have experienced on the East side of Michigan to this day! If you like a quality hand crafted espresso drink you will love what they have to offer here as they use mod bar espresso machines to make their beverages! Bless em! If your thing is black coffee they have tons of great coffees to choose from and they use a variety of brewing methods. GEISHA! Bless them doubly!! Not enough coffee shops have the ability to serve Geisha, but they do here! Cant say enough and Ive already written to much. Just come by and enjoy what they are doing!

I have been coming here since a few months after this space opened. It has been amazing to see them grow and become a more popular space. Their staff is excellent, they continue to cultivate an atmosphere that is unique in an area where chain is all too common. I look forward to their airport location as the coffee roast itself is strong but not bitter.

So thankful to finally have. High quality artisan coffee shop in Dearborn. Im very particular when it comes to coffee, and this place delivers. Their milk is pretty good, not scalded which is appreciated. Their espresso is great. My go-to is the Breve (cream instead of milk). The ambiance is good but not great - I think they could give it a bit more of an alternative coffee shop feel but this is a nitpick and Im not deducting a star for this. A well deserved 5 star review from me.

This coffee place is really cute. It has seating areas that are enjoyed by local college students (as well as any other customers of course). It is a little coffee shop that has incredible food as well. All of the handcrafted coffees that I have tried have been amazing! The staff is super great as well. They are friendly, and offer you different things to try if you tell them what you normally get and wish to try something new! Definitely a place to check out if youre in the area!

The drink called the “Black honey” was delicious. Common Grace has created quite a buzz in the Downtown Dearborn area and is one of the better local coffee shoppes here in the area. Friendly staff and calm environment make it a great place to relax, study or just enjoy a good cup o’ joe. 10/10 would recommend.

Great atmosphere, I go there often to study or work. Many choices of coffee, tea, sandwiches, salads. Best part...the baristas! So friendly and willing to go the extra mile to make sure youre satisfied with your purchase. They have live entertainment and other events going on all the time and this just adds to the quality service I receive there each and every time. Would definitely recommend.

The place is tucked in with a group of restaurants, bars and other local places so its easily missed if you dont know what your looking for. Theres plenty of parking including two free parking garages.Inside its a friendly atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating, and a variety of games available to play which was a nice touch. I took my kids there just to get coffee, we ended up staying because they wanted to play. They have a calendar that takes up most of the back wall that displays local events they set up including live music and yoga. Most importantly the coffee is delicious with a generous selection and the food was prepared fresh.

Quaint coffee shop thats tucked into a nook of downtown Dearborn. The staff are expertly trained and the selection they offer clearly shows a love and understanding of the bean.

Honduras pour over is my go to. Great pastries, fresh fruit and sandwich options. A great place for casual business meetings or for studying. Unlike nearby coffee shops, this one has substance and is not full of desperate singles.

Theyve also got a wall with a bunch of different board games. Theyve done a great job with this coffee shop and I hope they will be able to expand one day!

Barista from Portland Oregon for over 12 years with unreasonably high expectations for espresso. I give this spot two strong thumbs up! Well prepared espresso, tasty treats, nice ambience and friendly engaging staff. One of the Detroit metro areas best.

This place was conveniently located right across the street from my hotel, so i decided to get my morning coffee here. This place has some truly great coffee, and I cant wait to go back to Detroit for work so I can get some coffee here! Theyve got great lattes and cappuccinos.

Decent coffee selection, possibly one of the better places in Dearborn to grab a nice cup of coffee.Overall, service is above average. At most there are 3 workers there at any given point and it will take a little bit before your coffee/drink will be made and given to you.If you head to the shop during the school year, expect limited seating due to students spending long hours studying.

This place has such high ratings! Which is good because it’s a nice place that the area needs. But is it me or does the staff seem a little rude at times? My experiences have always been with a grouchy staff member or someone who is working there alone who seems overwhelmed and thus delivers sub-par customer service. Anyone making money should be happy, especially when ur selling a cup of coffee for $5. Cheer up.
