I came to town to visit friends over a holiday weekend, and, upon arriving late afternoon on a Friday, I noticed a troubling noise coming from my car. Given the circumstances, I was worried that I wasn’t going to be able to find anyone to look at it before I needed to drive 2hrs home on Sunday. I called frantically and left a message, not expecting to get a call back. To my relief, Scott returned my call and told me to bring my car in straight away. When I pulled into the lot, he came out and greeted me at my car, and I was on my way not more than 10 minutes after that, completely reassured about the condition and safety of my car (ended up being a bent heat shield). I was so relieved and so thankful for the responsiveness and high level of customer service.

I have a custom car without a top. They’re helpful with scheduling changes due to weather changes. Cindy is the best, so polite and friendly! They have been great to work with and explain everything. They referred me to other companies when they didn’t offer the services I needed. I also think the costs are quite considerate. I feel really taken care of with this hometown auto shop.

I have been going to De Pere Auto for 10, going on 11 years. De Pere Auto has been taking care of my vehicles since I moved here for college. They have always given the best service I have ever had! Obviously, the service is huge, but the people behind the services is key! Cindy at the front desk and the guys at the shop take care of my vehicles always and always have my best interest at heart!! They will tell you the truth of what needs to be fixed, etc. They are there to serve their customers to their best ability and make sure you are happy and your vehicle is taken care of properly. They have loaner cars and are always looking to help their customers.I have also purchased now two vehicles from the lot at De Pere Auto and I would never go anywhere else! Mike and Phil are terrific at their jobs! They go above and beyond in their positions and are determined to find you what YOU NEED not what they want you to have. They really listen and do what they can to make it the best experience possible! Fair trade-in and they help you to find the best deal they can for whatever your situation may be.:) I am so thankful for them as I have now just purchased my second vehicle from them! I was more than impressed when I had my car windshield washer pump fixed about a year ago; the reservoir was repositioned and resealed. But there was always a little leak, then came Covid, and its over a year later. I finally make the appointment and they put in the new pump, and they only charged me for the part (not any labor), thereby standing behind their work from before. Plus the free shuttle service is wonderfully convenient and they have the most polite employees. Over and above that they found out on their inspection that my front tires were in desperate need of replacement, they checked to see if they were under warranty yet (they werent), but again it was one extra mile De Pere Auto didnt need to go but did.

I love love love going here to get my car fixed. Cindy (the nicest lady ever) is always so helpful and so kind. Rick is the mechanic I go through and he is so wonderful. He works with me and my friend on a plan to help fix my car and he shows me whats wrong and the parts that are bad. I have never gone here and they didnt do a great job. Everyone there is super great but a huge shout out and thank you to Rick and Cindy for dealing with me. I recommend this place to all my friends and family and to anyone who needs there car fixed.

I accidentally went there in 2017 when Walmart screwed up my car and left me out in the wide. The catalytic converter started getting red hot and they found the cause of the problem right away even though it was in a different part of the car. I have been visiting only them ever since. Their mechanics are extremely knowledgeable and always give me the right advice. I am a fan of their professionalism and wish more and more mechanics would be so. Prices? I would say the whole package is well priced. While they were changing the spark plugs on my vehicle, they even dropped me home and picked me up when it was done!! I could not ask for more. They once even gave me a loaner car when it would take the whole day to work on the car. Everyone at De Pere Auto Center is great to work with.

I called De Pere Auto with an issue with my drivers side door. They were able to take a look, diagnose the problem in minutes. I needed parts ordered and Rick set up an appointment for 2 days later. In just an hour my door was fixed. The customer service here is top of the line. Everyone I spoke with was friendly and genuinely cared about providing great service. I believe the price was definitely fair and it went smoothly from start to finish.I would definitely recommend this place to everyone. 😊

This is the second Vehicle that we have purchased with DePere Auto. Both experiences were excellent. And even after the purchases of our vehicles the experience continues. They treat you like they have known you their whole life. This is truly the first time in purchasing a vehicle that it did not seem like a business deal where you walk out the door and you are forgotten. My car started acting up on my way to a job interview in De Pere. It was not safe for me to drive, so I had to pull over. Unfamiliar with the area I called De Pere Auto Center and they immediately jumped into action, helping me get my car to their shop, loaning me a car to get me to my interview and looking into my car issues immediately. They explained the issues to me, showing me pictures and answering all my questions. I’ve never experienced such amazing customer service!! They truly saved my day from being absolutely horrible!! I still cant get over how outstanding and friendly the service was at De Pere Auto Center. I traveled via bus to buy a car and drive back down 1000+ miles home. Unfortunately, I ran into some troubles with my bank accounts upon arrival. Mike and Phil were unbelievably helpful and understanding of my situation. I remember Mike saying, Well, were not going to let you walk back home, and Phil reassuring me constantly that we would all find a way to make everything work out. They even helped drive me around town to try to find a solution to my dilemma. In the end, they wound up doing me a huge favor that I wish I could repay them for.Most car-buying experiences Ive seen in the past have been somewhat predatory and money-focused; these guys were not at all like that. They are some of the most welcoming folks Ive met, and if I were a local resident, Id go to them for all of my auto service needs. My experience with De Pere Auto Center is one that Ill remember every time I see my new car and one that Ill never forget for the rest of my life.Oh, and the guy who detailed the car did his thing. Honestly the best detail Ive ever seen. Sheesh.

We have bought at least 5 cars from here. They only sell cars that are in great shape. We also have our cars serviced there. We are always happy with their service and their prices seem to be about the going rate. Plus, I know when they fix my car it is fixed right. They dont do crappy work.

Very pleased, had a electrical issue with my jaguar. Had it at two local auto repair garages in my area with no luck . De Pere auto was recommended and they found the problem right away. Will go back for sure.

The gentlemen at De Pere Auto Center were extremely pleasant to deal with when purchasing our last car. The staff was very helpful in finding the exact car we were looking for and did not pressure us to make a decision. They go out of their way to make sure everything is right on the vehicles that they sell. Its the little things that make the difference, filling up the gas, washing the car even though we only took one test drive before buying, keeping the car inside their heated service center the day we picked it up so it was not cold when my wife got in to drive home. I would definitely purchase another vehicle from them again!

I will admit I was very nervous as a young person to make this first very big purchase. However, I will say Mike went above and beyond to make sure all of our questions were answered and made sure we were comfortable with the purchase. I wish there was an option for six stars because thats how great this dealer is!! Not to mention I lost my phone the day we were car shopping, and they actually found it outside and called me so I could retrieve it! Also the look and feel of the shop itself is fantastic. I wrote a review previously mentioning being overcharged for some services. Owners ended up reaching out to me, reviewed my records of visits, and admitted to finding some errors. They mentioned a previous employee who was no longer there and ended up comping me a free brake install. With what I paid for the other services, I feel that was at least making up for some bad blood. Glad the owners took the time to make things right, although I still may have overpaid. Therefore, I will be changing my 1 star to a 3 star. Half the battle with car places is the communication, they at least showed me they care.

I went to De Pere Auto Center after discovering that gas was leaking from the bottom of my car. They were nice enough to get me in right away. They told me that if the repair was extensive the max cost would be about $400. However, if it was a simpler fix then it would be between $220 and $270. After a few hours of evaluating my vehicle they informed me that it was simply a hole in a tube in the gas tank that could be replaced that day. When I came to pick up my car I was dismayed to see that I had been charged the full $400. When I asked why I was charged the max amount for a simple fix they immediately changed the invoice and charged me a total of $250, plus tax. Given the fact that they changed the charge without protest it seems pretty clear that they were trying to get away with overcharging me, and would have done so had I not spoken up for myself. Its so incredibly disappointing when mechanics act this way because it feeds the negative reputation that mechanics are scammers, which most of the time is not true. I will never use their services again and would suggest anyone who does be very careful to ensure they are being charged the correct amount.

Great experience buying a new Honda Pilot. We had problems at another dealership. While driving by, we saw the Honda and decided to take a chance. Next day we had our new vehicle. Great people and service!

I recently bought vehicle from them, I went to them in past but never could find the right vehicle but they always did have very nice used vehicles. The prices are fair and you dont have to deal with the imaginary manager in the back that approves the price. The trade values are also better than average big dealer. When my wife needs a new vehicle this will be the first place I will check. The only small issue is there a small dealership and dont have that many vehicles so check what vehicles they have listed before going.

Ive not had the luxury of easy access to a reputable, clean, respectful and knowledgeable mechanic for a number of years until I moved to De Pere and De Pere Auto Center was the first and has been the only mechanic I have utilized since becoming a local. The staff are always friendly, helpful, and quick with a joke or small talk if youre the kind of person to appreciate that sort of thing. All of the loaner vehicles are extremely clean and much newer than youd expect based on my experience with other establishments, which is a wonderful perk. Ive dropped a fair bit of coin on various vehicle repairs, including an older F350 that I had for a few years and when I finally got to the point where I was considering selling the truck, I was able to talk closely with my mechanic at DPAC about my options and what hed do in my situation and he provided me a very honest and informed answer. Im a very difficult person to please when it comes to my vehicle upkeep and maintenance, but I can honestly say that Ive never left DPAC feeling like I had been had or that I didnt receive the best service possible. I recommend them to any friends or family who might be considering changing mechanics and I would honestly recommend them to you as well. Some of the repairs and services might be a little pricier than youll find at a few other establishments, but I find the extra cost to be more than worth the piece of mind I get every time I drive one of my vehicles home from their garage. In my opinion, you cant do better than De Pere Auto Center in this area. Give them a try if youre uncertain about your current mechanic. As for their used car lot, Ive never purchased a vehicle from them yet, but everything they stock seems to be newer, well taken care of vehicles for the most part. I wouldnt hesitate to buy from them if I was in the market for something they had in stock.

The morning I arrive to leave my car for a sensor replacement, I walked in to a very pleasnat and smiling receptionist. The office lobby was designed with fabulous antiques and very clean. The receptionist was extremely busy; however, she (sorry I dont remember her name, my bad)kept communicating with me to let me know I was in the loop. She typed up my comments with what was wrong with my car. I left confident my car would be fixed by the same day. 2 hours later I received a phone call from Rick with an estimate far exceeding what I originally came in for. I have aa 2005 PT Cruiser which was in need of some minor repairs. Even though I paid more than what I initially planned on, I am so thankful for the expert advise. My car runs absolutely like a charm. I can truly notice the difference. I recommend De Pere Auto for a complete and thorough diagnostic. The people are friendly, honest and professional.

So here’s the stitch, and my problem with it; they started work on my car at about 9:40 am and were done by 11:20am and charged me $400 dollars for labor alone. That’s $200 per hour!They charged, $170.00 for a caliper, which is $120 elsewhere. I didn’t even check to see if they upcharged the brakes... but basically all the work they did should be $500 or less. I ended up paying $800.00.They did good work. You can get the same quality though at autoselect and walk away with the skin still on your back. And I just think any young woman or non auto-minded person should know that they aren’t going to be offered a reasonable price.I won’t be back and will be taking my car problems to auto select from now on.

These guys do very good work. If you are driving a jalopy the kind of work De Pere Auto does will strike you as expensive. But that is because their standard is to bring your vehicle up to full function. If your car is past it, the repairs are going to cost more than its worth.I know a guy that can spit-and-baling-wire your heap together for way less money. But generally what De Pere Auto fixes stays fixed. I buy my used cars at between 40k and 70k miles depending on condition and service history, and these guys keep them at 100% factory top shape, and are inexpensive until the car needs a major repair. At that point I will usually trade the car, knowing the DPA shop will have it fixed to 100% and have it on the sale lot the next day.Whether you love this shop or hate it really depends on the condition your equipment is in.

Very overpriced repair center. Mechanic thought I didnt know anything and quoted me $300 to do one o2 sensor! Thats an $80-100 job at most. Watch out for these guys if you are not mechanically inclined!

I am always pleased with the worksmanship that De Pere Auto Center has to offer.I would not feel the confidence in any other company working on my vehicle like the sense of professionalism and confidence I feel dropping my keys off at De Pere Auto Center.

Since Im still paying for my car, Im pretty diligent about tracking her performance. So I took my Focus in for a simple tune-up. Ive been reading great reviews about this place, so I talked myself into believing that $435 for simple preventative maintenance would be worth it. WRONG!! Several hours later, their mechanic called, informing me that my vehicle desperately needed $1500 worth of repairs--including replacing a belt that was changed 4K miles ago. I had one worn brake pad, but I was told that BOTH the left and right front rotors, pads, and calipers needed to be replaced. And who charges $158 for a caliper? When I said forget it, they made me sign a waiver that the vehicle wasnt roadworthy. A couple days later, I went to a different garage, where I was assured that the waiver was an intimidation tactic. YES, they told me, I needed a fully-loaded caliper and one new brake-pad, and yes, there was one other legitimate issue. But the good news was: this other garage repaired everything for $300--not $1500--and they even showed me what they were doing while they were doing it! I will NEVER go to De Pere Auto ever AGAIN.

I would drive past De Pere Auto on the way home from work everyday until one day a vehicle caught my eye. I stopped in to look at upgrading my vehicle I had back in 2010. Phil was very helpful in working with me in every step of the buying process from trade in to financing options. I drove that almost new SUV off the lot extremely happy with my purchase.Fast forward 5 years (Sept 2015) while driving home I spotted the exact SUV we were looking to upgrade my wifes vehicle to sitting on their lot. I stopped in and talked to Mike who let me take my whole family (kids, carseat and all) on a test drive to see how we liked it. Needless to say, we loved it!!! We traded in my wifes old SUV and took our second De Pere Auto purchase home. 3 months later (Dec 2015) that new SUV was in an accident in which the whole front end was taken off. I called De Pere Auto first thing while at the scene. They sent a tow truck to give a tow back to their body shop. De Pere Auto worked with my insurance and made this event less stressful than it originally was. While the SUV was being repaired they let us use a loaner vehicle which was suited for my family (not just a tiny car). The day we got the car back it looked as good if not better than the day we first bought it off the lot. You would NEVER be able to tell it was in an accident. Hats off to the body shop guys!!!Since my wife had the vehicle she was looking for I got the itch to get myself a new car. Again, while driving home I spotted the large SUV that I have wanted for quite sometime. The guys gave me a great trade value on the car that I originally bought from them and made the purchase the smoothest yet. My family loves our new fleet of Honda SUVs from De Pere Auto and we will be back Im sure for a 4th sometime down the road. Moral of the story: I just need to keep taking the same route to get home!!!
