Fantastic customer service and great selection of solid quality walking and hiking shoes. All the staff I’ve encountered have been knowledgeable, patient, and attentive. Bought my Oboz hiking boots here and absolutely love them. All of their hiking shoes are the Oboz brand but they have a great selection of sizes, styles and colors within that brand - especially considering all the shortages due to Covid (everyone suddenly hikes now!) They also carry Teva, Taos, Dansko and many orthopedic /excellent quality walking shoes. Visited for the first time today and found a great pair of sas sandals!! Mr. Roderer took his time measuring my feet, both sides, and then finding me the right size shoe and multiple styles!! It was a great experience! All of the employees provided wonderful customer service! Looking forward to buying another pair of shoes from them!!

Roderer Shoes is the ONLY TRUE shoe store in Dayton!! Lots of stores sell shoes but the sales staff typically are sales people NOT shoe people.Danny at Roderer Shoes on Main Street took an interest in my need when I walked through the door. He knows foot problem issues & how to fix them. Recommended the shoes & inserts to solve the excruciating pain from plantar fasciitis! They worked!I called one store that advertises heavily about the problem BUT they insisted that I would have to spend $500 to $900 to fix the problem. At Roderer’s I spent around $300 and I now have very happy feet! I could actually go back to the gym today!Roderer Shoes is the ONLY SHOE store in Dayton!

Went here with my sister and her 3 kids for the back to school sale. She bought 6 pairs of shoes for the children and the woman who rang her up tried to charge her full price instead of the sale price. This was after a very poor experience already where she seemed put out by having 3 children to work with. Not only that, we had to go back in a second time just to get the right price for the shoes as we were still charged over the sale price during the refund process, and at that point the staff was both indignant and unapologetic. Put the blame on us for being in a hurry (who isn’t with 3 kids in tow) and the store owner even had the audacity to tell my brother-in-law that apparently the kids tried on too many shoes! Which is a pretty odd thing to hear from a shoe store. Isn’t that what they do? Honestly, the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced, and frankly even at the ‘sale’ price you can still find better costing shoes elsewhere and probably have a better experience.

The guys in the store were great. Helped my son find shoes that would fit his feet. Brought up several different sizes and styles for us to choose from and helped make sure they were perfect fit thanks a lot!!!

I went here as a kid to find shoes for my hard to fit feet. Fast forward 20 years and now I bring my kids, also with hard to fit feet, here as well. There is always a good selection and helpful caring people to get my kids the best fitting shoe.

Very disappointed.I stopped by after doing lawn work to find some house shoes--unfortunately, whether its because of the grass stains on my jeans or that I look relatively young (even though Im in my late 30s), the staff treated me like I had the plague.The older woman who approached me as if I were in the wrong store just seemed annoyed with me the entire time...seemingly because I didnt know my European shoe size off the top of my head.When I did get to try on a few shoes, I asked if they ran large or small...to which the old woman sighed at me and said they are what they are.What the hell is wrong with you people? I ended up leaving because I simply didnt want to spend money at your store, and certainly didnt want the sales woman to get any commission off of me.

My mommy took me to Roderer shoes some 55ish years ago! Happy to say, now that Im a tad bit older & experienced, I dont mind spending a little more for quality, comfort, and the experience of shopping at Roderers in Harrison Twp. Extremely friendly staff/ helpful staff. Is old school when it comes to exact proper fit. Havent purchased shoes anywhere else in years.

If you are searching for a shop that carries quality (and reasonably priced) contemporary kids shoes, whilst offering all the traditional fitting and measuring that we enjoyed when we were kids, this is the place! Perfect shoe shopping experience for my five year old step-daughter who was badly in need of GOOD shoes. Wonderful customer service, our lady was incredibly patient and diligent and most importantly addressed my step-daughter directly as a customer as well as myself. We left as very happy customers!

Dan Roderer was so professional, brought out multiple choices in correct sizes after measuring out feet. We each left with new shoes that we are extremely pleased with. Exceptional service with reasonable prices.

Great shoes for comfort, good selection for men, especially for sizes 14-15. Only giving it 4 stars because not a lot of cute shoes for women or running shoes but it is a comfort shoe store, but GREAT customer service!

I ordered a pair of shoes because they were not in stock. My feet were measured in store. 10 Days later when they arrived, they were way too big. 10 days later, I go in to see if they were there. I was told that they were not there because they had to wait to send the shoes back until the order was big enough to send back. I said that they reorder should have happened the same day they did not fit. The manager did not agree with me. I asked him if it was good customer service to not reorder the shoes right away and he said, That is our policy. The customer service sucked. I got my deposit back and left.
