Great meat great prices and very friendly staff

One of the best places to buy meat in Dayton. Excellent quality, price, and customer service! One of the few places I give a full 5 star rating. They also vaacume pack your bulk meat purchases for freezing. Having New York strips on the grill tonight.

Good meat for a fair, albeit not inexpensive, price. Would recommend, especially if you need special cuts.

Asked for a brisket. Got brought a couple different sizes, chose what I wanted. Didnt have prime brisket but they do have Choice briskets and it was delicious!

They have fantastic meats and the whole staff is great, especially Stephanie! Theyve been supplying meat for my lodge and post for years and always been happy with the service and wares!

This is a great place to shop for chicken, pork, beef, lunch meats, and cheeses! A lot of the restaurants in the area get their meats at East Dayton Meat. They make several flavors of sausages and I have enjoyed the ones I have tried. They make excellent stuffed pork chops and they are filled with stuffing they make. They will deliver orders in the area for a fee. I highly recommend East Dayton Meat! I forgot to mention their bacon, which is outstanding!

All the pork I bought was bad, but the steaks where good. It was my first time there a few weeks back. Im saying that the pork was rotten smelling. Had to throw it away. Its not worth going there if its a hit or miss. Ill never go there again.

This was my first experiance here, I bought a steak pack #1 expecting fresh not frozen meat! Also was shorted a bag of French fries. I heard good things about this place but I wont be placing another order!

Dont skip their freezer section, they have some unique food items like the Texas pork tenderloins (just Iike at a fair).

We have never had a bad experience my family has been using east dayton sausage for 2 decades. Never had a bad experience, never had bad meat or anything from them. We truly love this company its the best meat hands down.

I have mixed feelings about the meat quality at some times here. Ive gotten really good meat and really bad meat. Definitely a hit or miss deal for me... However, I really appreciate the customer service from the young lady thats always there. For her alone and for the times I have gotten good meat here Ill give ya 4 stars

Worst meat I ever had!!! Got bad chicken breasts and the ribeye steaks were cheap grade & tough. Wont ever go back and wont recommend them to anyone.

Just moved to this end of town, so I stopped in and picked up some mild Italian sausages. I have been craving more ever since! Stopped by this past weekend for some chicken bacon sausages and franks. Ive never had such juicy flavorful meat in my life! Ive literally been daydreaming about their hotdogs today.

Place is terrible the dates on some of the meat was expired the hamburgers had freezer burn some of the steaks was no good they was Thin not good quality call back five times nobody would even call me back I will never go backDo not buy their packs they put old meat in there very poor place

Very helpful and courteous. Excellent prices and quality. Have been going there for years and always has been an excellent experience. I was happy to see that when you purchase their steaks and other items in the meat case theyre vacuum sealed which is great for when you want to put it in the freezer!

Very nice store located right next to the highway. Was clean and had a excellent selection of meats. I had called to order a 5 inch by 5 inch belly cut of Pork with skin and was happy to purchase it for only $6! The prices of the other meat and poultry I noticed were very fairly priced. Ill post another review with photos of what Ill buy when I get done with my next trip!

They have changed their hours and do not have this posted online or on any of their signs. I arrived after driving 30 minutes to them stating they were closed. I had placed an order, however, they would not let me pick it up, even though it was 20 minutes until their typical closing hours. I will not be using them in the future.

Pretty solid for what it is and great prices. Good customer service too. Dont get the wrong impression of this place though - it is easy to think from reviews this is a straight from the farm butcher shop, but a good chunk of what they sell (such as the sauces that in another review elsewhere were said to be home made) are just rebranded from a wholesale food distributor. The meat I found wasnt any better in quality than your average grocery store. But, youre pretty guaranteed to get it fresh, and the prices are competitive. Just dont expect to find USDA Prime cuts of steak here. Everything is all vacuum packed and sold as-is.

My boyfriend and I picked this butcher because of the reviews on yelp and google and hes here from Virginia visiting for the holidays as I work as a travel tech in pathology. I asked for a 2 bone-in rib roast for Christmas and while they did cut to order, they cut the bones off and reattached with string! Who does that for a bone-in roast, especially a reputable butcher? The meat was good but because they decided to cut the bones off, without asking, the meat cooked different than Im used to and half was over cooked. I should have realized there was a problem when they asked when we were going to cook it and said Christmas and they cryo-vaced it for 4 days away. My butcher in Virginia never cryo-vacs anything because unless you ask them to cut the bones off they do not. This shop cryo-vaced because THEY introduced the possibility of bacteria by cutting the bones off and reattaching with string. My boyfriend and I know exactly what we should have gotten and about the bacteria because we also dry age at home. My only other thing to say, is make sure that you get exactly what you ask for and if youre not happy make them fix it. I have posted this exact review on Google, Facebook, and Yelp! to make sure that I reach everyone who may consider using them.Edited to add: I was carving meat off the bone to eat. And this “butcher” actually gave us a one bone roast with a tiny bit of a second bone at either end. Not even close to what we asked for.
