Ghostlight is a great spot to stop, grab a coffee, and relax. The location and the old brick building provide a bit of character different from sanitized corporate coffee houses. Theres a decent selection of items for purchase such as coffee, shirts, and brewing gear. Give Ghostlight a try, I doubt youd be disappointed.

My husband and I have a weekly ritual to visit this coffee shop in the mornings, the coffee is so addicting AND VEGAN choices is a huge plus. BUT more importantly The most chill, nostalgic coffee shop with all the warm vibes! We love the atmosphere, I love that they keep the old school eclectic environment but with modern menu choices. I hope they never lose their quirkiness

Relaxed space with an artsy feel. Their breakfast sandwiches are bomb - they serve vegan, spicy sausage as well as bacon. The cupcakes were deliciously pretty although I did not eat one. They have some latte flavors I have not seen before - I tried the vanilla and fig w/ black pepper notes. (No, it doesnt taste like black pepper).

Excellent coffee. Stellar service. Cozy when not too busy. Weird flavors for the adventurous and classic flavors for the rest of us.

**I originally visited this location on Jan 15**My friend and I visited this location to work and spent few hours in the cafe. It wasnt terribly loud so we were able to get work done. I tried their Caramel Oatmilk Latte for the first time and it was absolutely delicious. I also tried their vegan muffin, which didnt disappoint. Will be going back for sure.

Hands down my favorite coffee shop in Dayton! The employees here are all wonderful, and the atmosphere is always warm and welcoming. The coffee is great quality and they are always willing to make something unique.

Beautiful decorum and friendly staff. I had their Cappuccino, Latte, and Matcha with nothing but praise to give them. Great steaming, good art, and a variety of different choices regarding chocolate, beans, and natural products. Definitely a place to check out if youre near the Dayton Area!

Relaxing stop before work

Went there for the second time today. First time we went was great, good food, good service.Today we went, and there were a couple in front of us, and my wife and I. Behind us, was a friend of the baristas. The couple in front of us, and ourselves received our food fairly quickly, but the barista completely ignored the other couples drink orders, and ours, and immediately went over and talked to her friend behind us.She then went and filled her friends multiple drink order before anyone else’s, and the couple in front of us just ordered a tea. After our food was done 20+ minutes later, we finally received our drink orders because the barista was done talking to her friend and making her order.We’d like to support local small business, but why support someone that isn’t doesn’t care about their customers? She didn’t even say thank you, sorry for the wait, nothing.

Awesome space with really well made coffee! Full of interesting people and great, locally made products like soy candles and tea. Definitely will return.

Ghostlight is my go-to local coffee shop in Dayton. This unique and hipster location is a great place to visit with friends or put on some headphones and get some work done. Their grab and go during the pandemic has been amazing, everyone is super friendly and they are extremely knowledgeable about their drinks.

Just did an instacart order for them and was blessed with a perfect delicious iced caramel macchiato style drink and I think it might have been the best damn coffee I’ve ever had. They were super friendly and the atmosphere was very warm and cozy. I MUST return for another asap!!! Yum!! Thank you!!!

The owner is very personable and caring. Ghostlight goes above and beyond in service and quality. The tarts are AMAZING and the coffee is delicious. We always make the stop to Ghostlight when we’re in town. Highly recommend both locations. ❤️

Vegan approved! Ghostlight Coffee is a cool place to relax, enjoy a cup of coffee and eat some amazing Vegan food. Their Vegan Chocolate Cherry Muffin was delicious! I highly recommend Ghostlight Coffee. Its my favorite place now!Sprouting Dreams, LLC was also there today. I enjoyed the Vegan Waffles with Seitan Sausage Gravy, along with a Vegan Breakfast Burrito! Yum!

Always love ghostlight. The lattes are perfectly frothy like the smoothest marshmallow. Their syrups are light, and flavorful and they even have a selection of beans, snacks, and art for sale. Cute before and after covid. Anticipating drinking coffee, and speaking with strangers again some day 💜

Everyone was so nice. I walked in without a clue what to get. They were very helpful and made me a splendid cup of joe!

Fantastic place! This is my favorite location by far. Wonderful service and employees! I like to try something different but have a hard time with a choice. So I ask the staff to surprise me. I pick a flavor, then they find something in that flavor category and write it on the bottom of the cup! If I like it I check the name!

I have visited the Ghostlight Coffee (South Park location; in Dayton on Wayne Ave.) on several occasions. The staff is pleasant, the service time is decent and the selection is great for what you need in a coffee spot. They offer a variety of pastries that rotate regulary. The Ghost Tart (Cinnamon) and the Biscotti (Butterfinger) were my picks for this trip. The Tart was the better of the 2, but I cant say that either was a huge hit. Maybe my next visit the pastries will be more stand-out (open to trying the other options Ghostlight has to offer). Online and in store pick-up are an available, so you can choose which one works better for you. Great place to hang out and enjoy the atmosphere.

Had been looking for a place that sells freshly roasted beans and I found one! Purchased a nice bag of espresso beans for $15 with a roast date about a week prior to my purchase. Unfortunately it was the only espresso bean roast they had on the shelves, but can’t ding them for limited space I suppose. They grind well and taste as expected. Parking lot was a little hard to maneuver on busier hours.

Wonderful hidden gem of Dayton. Cozy atmosphere for catching up with friends as well as excellent coffee. Im not vegan, but their double chocolate vegan muffin pictured was scrumptious.

The shop itself has a great vibe, the staff was very welcoming and personable, and the lattes were delicious. To the guy working the register who wanted to know how the banana bourbon muffin was: the answer is fantastic.

Ghost light has really up their game. My fiancé goes there a lot for coffee and breakfast sammys and always grabs me one. I am glad she does because they are extremely tasty as well. Love this place.

First of all, this store was closed for about two weeks after one of their staff members was diagnosed with covid 19 to protect the public and coworkers. This I massively respect and MUST plug in my review.They act like people from the Midwest and seemed to know some customers by name, which is good community sense.No menu when I went in, only a QR to scan. Didnt hear me properly about one of their world famous items, and theyre plugging political soapboxes to boot.

I stopped here after a 10k race to refuel and to check out a local place that had vegan options. I got a coffee with almond milk and a vegan muffin. Both were delish.

The drinks are pretty good, but I love the local goods available. Only place I can buy honey any more. When ordering online, the drinks are usually ready sooner than listed online.

Best coffee around. We miss it when we travel. Are sad on holidays when they are closed. It’s become our favorite spot for coffee. No place comes close. You think you know good coffee until you have their coffee. 🤯 Grab a breakfast sandwich or tasty treat while you’re at it! Ohhhhhhhh and they pre-order some of the best pies for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I suggest their pecan. 🤗❤️

Liked their Coffee. Had a cozy sitting arrangement prior to COVID. Coffee still good. Even my teenage daughter liked their Iced Coffee for the first time. Wouldnt hurt trying their Coffee, if you havent. :)

This was my first coffee shop stop since moving to the area. It has your typical coffee shop feel, not that there is anything wrong with that, not at all.I ordered a macchiato, my to-go drink when trying out new places. It was good and tasted right, no burnt aftertaste or the milk masking the flavor of the coffee. The presentation was a little underwhelming, however, with the dirty/dusty cup and saucer.The shop offers a bigger room in the back where it is a little more quiet I believe.Overall, a nice place. I can directly compare to Press Coffee basically just down the street, which I preferred more, but to each of their own. I will still come back to this one without a doubt, their specials sounded very interesting!

This is a place you should keep your eye on. Soothing ambience with a hint of an adventure. There is a variety of drinks to select. There is also bakeries such as Cookies, bagels and cake.My favorite is Cardamom and rose water Latte. Because it reminds me of home.If you like chai, I recommend to choose Golden Chai. It is more toward mellow, relaxed taste Compared to The Black Market Chai. The B.M.C is much more intense taste and you will love it, if you like spiced Chai.They have a stable internet connection so you can finish you work there or just upload your drink on the social media.

My favorite coffee shop in Dayton because they serve REAL coffee and not just straight up sugar. I do like their add in flavors as I believe they are more creative. My favorite is a black walnut soy latte!

The OG spot for Ghostlight. It’s cozy, has quirky paintings modified with coffee cups, and they serve tasty coffee. The snacks are great too since I’m usually running around. It’s sometimes nice to grab a quick bite that isn’t a bag of chips. It’s a great spot to meet my clients to discuss jewelry designs, hang out with friends to catch up (I’ve never felt rushed there), and to also grab a cup of coffee and go if you are in a rush. I love the gem designed bike lock, and the blue grey wall outside. In the warmer months I especially enjoy sitting on their picnic tables out back. They have umbrellas so you can be comfortable if the sun is bright. There is a small parking lot, and you can park in the street directly outside. Even with it being slightly limited, in all the years I’ve been going here I’ve yet to experience any parking issues. It’s a nice family friendly spot that I would recommend anyone to visit. Conveniently located near highway 35. If you’re on a road trip it’s not too far off track to get a good cup of coffee. I also highly recommend their new sister store called Ghostlight Midtown.

The sounds of Coffee and teas being made along with aromas can help you forget everyday stresses for a little while. The original coffee shop is fun and friendly. The new location is weird and not very inviting. I enjoy the staff and selection. But my biggest issue is that they are never open past 7pm and it makes me sad.

Very cool spot that usually makes really good drip and espresso. The business has been hit hard by covid...seems like they went a little overboard made it a confusing when ordering, waiting, picking up, signs not very clear, etc. It will be nice when/if they can return to normal....hopefully soon.

Great spot. Excellent coffee, lattes and tea of course. Cool servers. Chill music and atmosphere. Popular and busy on Saturday mornings (we open it to discuss Nietzsche in a booth) but not crazy crowded. So please come another time, or sit outside ( ;-) ) and youll enjoy it.

I had to order online, which I understand, and I was given a pickup time of 20 minutes from the time I ordered. When I went in to get my cappuccino it was already cold. I think it was made much sooner so it just sat there. Im sure they are still working out the bugs though.

It is a stroll down the road for me. The atmosphere is enchanting. Many options in coffee beverages. Also theyve liquor for coffee beverages if you enjoy this. Theyve hamburgers and gluten free alternatives.

This is a nice little coffee shop. It smells delicious. I dont know for sure because I dont drink it, but people say they have great coffee. I can attest that they have great hot chocolate!That being said, you are supposed to behave a certain way here and if youve never been before or only come in once a year and forget, the staff is very standoffish and reluctant to help. For instance, what am I supposed to do with my empty mug? Nobody is clearing or wiping tables, so empty mugs go SOMEWHERE. But where? Like the number of licks it takes to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop, the world may never know.Also, all their pastries are vegan. So if youre looking for a moist, fluffy muffin, these arent that. The apple hand pies are pretty good, though.

The service and the ambiance is great and a perfect place to study. I do have to say that the coffee is only okay. also if youre not paying attention they dont really call out your name so your coffee might get cold.

They need to check their stock. I was charged for adding whipped cream to both my coffees and when they handed them to me they said we are out. You guys owe me! I’m adding to this post because I’ve had another bad experience here, I will never come back to this place again. I tipped for bad service.

Excellent local coffee joint with an awesome vibe. Everything is always incredibly fresh and delicious. I especially love the vegan breakfast sandwiches...so divine!!!

Their Chai Latte on Oat Milk is super fab. I am glad they open till late on Fridays and Saturdays, weekdays is usually hard to get here after work. Don’t forget the pastries either, really good and varied in flavors.

The original Ghostlight is one of the best coffee houses in Dayton. Staff is friendly, beverages are incredible. Can get crowded and packed at peak times but its worth it.

I have never been to Ghostlight before and one of the employees had just walked in for his shift (I believe his name was Shawn) and automatically asked if I had been helped yet, which I hadn’t and he was so quick to get my order. I got an iced coffee with almond milk and honey and he asked me if the amount of honey, and the color of my coffee was how I liked it. Wonderful first experience, and I think I found my new favorite local coffee shop (-:

The space is quaint and cozy. I have only had ice drinks which have been okay. I have had better. I will give the fresh coffee a try. The pastries are good. The poppyseed muffin was delicious.

First time there. Been wanting to go for a while now. We got the hot chocolate and cherry chocolate muffins. Loved it! They were all very nice, helpful, and just wonderful. The selections are nice too. We cant have dairy, so it was nice to have something we could eat for baked goods.

Good place, nostalgic, and calm. Sometimes the workers act pious AF and talk down to you if you ask a question about something about some of their drinks. All in all, Im not gonna drop their rating for that.

Strangest Starbucks Ive ever seen
