Nice selection, but overall I felt like they didnt want me there. Poor customer service. Practically yelled at me when asking me how much I wanted for my items. They did give me what I asked for but overall I felt like it was a hassle for them just for me being there. They definitely need to work on their customer service skills. Came in to buy a used PS3 that I had seen on Craigslist. They had great customer service, very accommodating in hooking up the system to a TV so they could show me everything worked well before purchasing. Even sold me a few games. They have a big selection of all kinds of things in their store. And everything is clean, and organized. Very nice people, would definitely do business with them again.

I pawned a ring and was never advised that I had to pick it up with cash . I came before the month was over and was treated poorly . I offered my debit card to pick up my ring and was insulted by the two men at the register . They told me I was a liar qnd never showed any professionalism. Instead of speaking to me like a man an adult a human and saying we dont accept cards they chose to be disrespectful and disingenuous.I will not be coming back to this place again because of how rude they were to me.

I went there with a gold, diamond and emerald ring and they told me it’s worth $60. What a scam! That ring was EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE. Same with another customer they said her ring was worth $40 and it was white gold and worth once again at least 300. I am also underaged and they didn’t ask for my ID. This is my second time here by the way. My first time was for my own ring, the second was for my friend. my friends, both of age, have been in this shop before and while we were in the shop, the guy waiting on us never verified our identity let alone ages, he asked one friends (who was selling her ring) how old she was and she told him her age, he said okay, never asked for ID or mine. Or our other friend. Not only that but we also told him the material of the ring and what we bought it for, and all he did was weigh it and tell us a price. $40 he said. The other customer was my friend by the way. It is a extremely unprofessional environment and entirely disappointing. They were rude as well when we said that’s weird how he only weighed the ring and just slapped a price on it. The man also told us to go somewhere else when we asked why he didn’t check it. Gold or copper you’ll still get the same amount, how sad...

When we tried to tell them that we looked up pricing before they started to raise their voice at us and speak very rudely. They sold me an item that had a missing power adapter that is very hard to find locally. Since I cant find one, I am unable to test the item before the 24hr period they give you to return the item. I called them about it and they are unwilling to extend this period so I will just have to return the item which is a shame, not to mention very time consuming for me as they are at least 30 min away. I really wish they would have included the necessary cables, or at least given me time to find one and test the item before returning.They also had the item listed on craigslist for $79 a few days before I came in (I have picture as proof) and it was $99 when I got to the store. They denied having changed the price but still agreed to $80. I will not be giving them my business any more.

Purchase from 2nd location of American Pawn owned by Gold Pawn City thru EBAY was REAL SHADY!!! I received an Offer accepted email from them on a smartwatch. They then sold the watch over the counter. So now the watch, along with my money is gone... Both EBAY and PayPal have been notified and American Pawn has been reported. Managers and owners keep check on your employees!!! EXTREMLY DISHONEST AND ILLEGAL WAY TO DO BUSINESS!!! I just spoke with parent company Gold City Pawn at 13080 W. State Rd. 84 Davie, Florida 33325 and they are unaware that their own store does not have functioning telephone service. I have found out that their number is a cellular number and it is not functioning.BE CAREFUL OF THIS COMPANY AND WHAT ITS SELLING!!!

What a scam haha, I went in to sell multiple Dewalt power tools, and accessories for them. The guy behind the glass seemed more interested in his computer and Didnt even want to give me the time of day. New all the items I was selling go for $400-500. Was asking 140$... Dude laughed and said we are way off, im at about $50.... ($25 for each) nothing for the accesoriesBefore I left I looked and he had the same items selling for $150, $125, $99 respectively. not counting any of the accessories.Place is trying to make a 600% profit on used items lol.... Would recommend staying away, and trying other pawn shops..... total scam if you are selling.staff looks flaky anyways even from first appearance walking in.
