I got recommended to this shop from the nearby napa and let me tell you I had a great experience. I had a 2004 cadillac cts v that had a hard to find alternator. I called his shop and he said yeah we can remanufacture it and it would probabaly work better than the ones in AutoZone or similar stores because they were cheaply made. I brought him the old alternator being skeptical about remanufacturing it, 2 hours later he gives me a call saying its ready and the alternator looked like brand new. It was installed in my car and it fixed my issues. I highly recommend his shop if you need alternator work. The owner was very professional, knowledgeable and I would trust him to do other work too!!

Davie battery and all of the staff therein have always treated me like family. I have had several vehicles serviced there and have always received 5 star services! The owner, Jim Pickering is fantastic and has often times offered options that have saved me money and time. This is not very common in the auto repair industry! I have also called upon Davie battery for their services in the marina industry and they are prompt, thorough and friendly!

Service and support are great! We were in Ft. Lauderdale Beach this past March with an engine problem on our trawler boat doing the Loop. We took the alternator off and had it driven over to Davie Battery and Alternator. Within and hour or two Jim Pickering and his staff had bench tested it and provided feedback to us over the phone. Jims follow up was amazing. Friendly, professional service at its best! I highly recommend.

Nice place and low prices

I was recommended by a gentleman that helped jump my car. He told me its a small location but theyre honest and have great prices. He wasnt lying. It wasnt too busy when I went and they were able to diagnose the problem and provide a solution with repairs done in a timely manner. You cant see it from the main road too well, but you dont want to miss it. Nice staff too! Ill definitely be back, if need be.

Bought a battery and it starred the car one time. Took it back and the nice gentlemen checked it and said it had a dead cell. Waited over a half hour for the owner to return from lunch, never came back so I left.Apparently if the boss isnt there than business stops. Was told he is the only one who can authorize replacing the battery. I guess its made out of gold and could bankrupt the biz if they were to replace it.Been several hours now and still havent heard from the boss.Just lovely customer service. Guess Im stuck without a battery for a few days. No problem, I can stay at work and make up for the money it cost me in down time.Hate to take a real problem to this place, ya know like a brake job or a tune up.Typical south Florida service.

Below is the review i left on AAMCOs page. Davie battery and alternator is the best and why im giving them 5 stars!! great customer service and they knowledgeable.stick with transmissions AAMCOmy company dump truck that had issues starting was sent to AAMCO, they charged me over $200 to look at it and tell me it was the alternator. they wanted $1000 for the job, $280 for the alternator, another $200 for a belt, and new pulley. the rest was labor. first of all $280 for an alternator is crazy and its probably an aftermarket brand from China.i went to Davie battery and got an american made alternator for $180 and it puts out 200amp. dont even know what AMMCO was going to give me for $280. hahaAfter getting the new alternator i installed it myself and then had a few miss readings from the voltmeter so i cleaned off the ground to the frame of the truck. started to get a reading on and off but wasnt staying at 13.8v so i took the truck back to AMMCO becuse i knew it was something with the wiring in the truck and hoping that they had somemore advance testing equipment. after dropping off the truck the next day they called saying i needed a new alternator and it would be $1,100 then told them i didnt and that the one i installed is working but not staying at 13.8 all the time. i told them id come by to pick up the truck. they charged me $130 for just looking at it.after picking up the truck i went to Davie batterires and alternator, Dan over there said give me one hour and ill give you a call. i went to lunch had 2 beers and they called and said everything is working and to come pick it up. turns out it was just the hardness on the alternator and the they also changed all the battery connectors. they charged $130 when AAMCO wanted $$$$$1,100 for something that wasnt broken.AAMCO $330 nothing fixedDavie battery $310 american made alternator and truck is running great!!!!

With Jim your vehicle will be fixed timely and right. The girl in the office has a strange attitude and is not so great to deal with but the shop guyes are very good pricing high compared to other service garages but worth it

Very Bad !Had bought batteries less then two years old. One was bad . They replaced it and charged me $80. Pro rate. Not even a name brand battery. Napa . Will sell you a brand new AC Delco for $79.00 with a two year warranty.This place was even recommend to me . By a female. Dont be a victim like I was.

I don’t usually care to leave reviews, but was kind of disappointed with the shop. I watched it get built years ago when I was about 7 years old (I’m in my 20’s now) since I live down the street from them and today I turned on my car drove down the street and my check engine light turned on right before the stop sign, so I said let’s give them a shot! Why not right? I parked and walked into the office and there was two friendly women in front of me that wanted an oil change and asked if it could be done and be finished by 12:30PM (it’s 11AM) and the lady in the office was hesistant but said she’ll try and leave a note for the mechanic and so they agreed, walked away and ended up driving away. I then asked her if someone can check my check-engine-light and she referred me to a mechanic outside so I waited to speak to him and before speaking to him the lady tells him about the oil change and he right away says “we can’t you gotta have them take it so call them back.” (They’re now gone) so now I speak with him and ask as a courtesy how much it’ll be to check the check-engine-light and he quotes me $40.00 and tells me to come back tomorrow morning around the time they open cause they can’t.I didn’t question it, but $40.00? for something that takes less than 5 minutes to do? first impressions are everything and it might just be cause of the time but unfortunately didn’t seem very professional especially witnessing the disconnect between employees. It was easier to take my car to PepBoys that read the code for free it and they ended up winning the repair bill.

They install a 2nd alternator in my vehicle resulted my engine light being on. I paid to diagnose the issue which they couldnt find. The dealership found & fix the problem. So I requested a refund for diagnostic fee which they was lil upset about :/

Took my car so they could check it out and give me a diagnostic but all they did was print out codes and told me to get a new car, they also charged me for a check without my consent and it solved nothing and I paid over $60 extra for nothing, will never bring it here again.
