This is the most authentic Mexican restaurant Ive been to here in Davenport. The food is great and they keep the place clean. There is a store attached to it and they accept EBT. My cousin took me for the first time and then I took my husband for the first time. My husband and I love it and will return. Their Mega burrito is big enough to feed four or more people.

To look at youd probably think its mainly a grocery store for mostly Mexican cooking. But if youll try some of the exceptional food youll find its far more that than. The food there is authentic Mexican food and I incredibaly delicious. I have no doubts Ill be back when Im in Davenport again.

I love this place it’s the best around, I come at least 6 to 10 times a month, but my last 3 times here my steak tacos have been small in size, they are usually a good size but for some reason they haven’t been, maybe they are told to make them smaller i don’t know but I’ve been a little disappointed

This was my first time here. I got steak tacos with beans and rice. The tacos are absolutely amazing. The beans and rice are also good. I was skeptical at first cause the beans looked runny. But theyre not. Theyre perfect. We ordered a huge meal and it only took them 15mins to whip everything up. I would highly recommend and will definitely be returning!

Busy, but quick turnaround for the food. First timer, I ordered the steak burrito, the $8 one. For some people that $8 burrito might have been 2 meals, for me it was one. Very satisfied, will be back soon. I kind of want to find out what the $15 burrito is. Highly recommend!!

The asada huarache tasted incredible. It was oily yet delicious. However, none of the food handlers were wearing a mask.. if you don’t care about the lack of masks, then I highly recommend the huarache.

Food is always great stuff is super nice fast service as well never a disappointment from here! The burritos are hugs!!

The bad reviews are obviously lies that were either overly exaggerated or bad reviews from competitors. I’ve been going here for 2 years now. I started going here for lunches while working and then loved it so much I started bringing the kids. And quite a few times a month. Never once have I ever had a bad experience. The food is always fresh, never burned, flavorful, staff is ALWAYS kind and courteous. The serving portions are generous. This restaurant knows how to feed someone. It’s disappointing to see some of the bad reviews on here. Because honestly this restaurant is a great part of the community around here and is run by a great family. The positive reviews far out way any of the negative ones. Another plus, the grocery area also offers a nice selection of things. The kids always enjoy picking something out when we go there as a little snack to take home.Thank you guys for all your hard work and serving the people around this community the way you do.

Staff is friendly and a decent selection of harder to find authentic ingredients. Food court is extremely fast and offers items found in very few Mexican restaurants. Give them a try!

Very good AUTHENTIC Mexican cuisine

I came here out of the spur of the moment and I was not disappointed. I ordered the steak burrito and it was all what I would have imagined it to be, delicious and flavorful. Portion was a big win for me. The burrito was huge and the salsa verde and salsa roja were spot on (muy rico). I will now come more often when I want my taco and burrito fix, yum! Staff was very pleasant as well....

I stopped by for breakfast. This is a little slice of South Texas deposited three streets from the river. Its a hole in the wall experience, kinda perfect and unpretentious. The huevos rancheros with salsa verde and corn tortillas was great today. The salsa verde is full of flavor with a slow heat. I am looking forward to returning to see how the rest of the menu comes together. While these are a few of my favorite things, the coffee surprised me. I assembled the coffee at the table. I wasnt particularly disappointed, after all I may be the single outlier ordering coffee today. They are earning the fifth star and future business.

I have been coming here since 2003 and today was the worst service I have ever had. One of the girls that works here totally ignored us. We sat for several minutes and had to get up and go to the register to order and they didnt bring chips or salsa like they used to.

Had wonderful breakfast today. Huge steak (tender) burrito which was perfection. Chorizo and eggs....superb! Fantastic beans and rice. Served with a grilled banana pepper, and soft, warm tortillas. Super friendly staff. Our new go-to Mexican breakfast restaurant. We have been here before and loved the enchiladas, tacos and carnitas. So, we came back for breakfast!

Carrillos is the place to go when i want authentic Mexican food. The kitchen is located to the side of the grocery store. They have fresh vegetables and fruits and a meat counter in the back. They just finished updated the kitchen with a new hood and geease system and are now expanding the building on the west side. Try the torta and a soda from the fridge. Mmmm!!

Being the privileged white female millennial that I am, it may come at no surprise that I consume a shocking amount of avocados. This place is hands down the best place in the Quad Cities to buy said avocados. The red salsa in then butchers section is also the bees knees. The man laughed at my face when I purchased it, thinking that I could not handle it. Little did he know, that I punish my colon regularly with any and every hot sauce I can get my hands on.

Excellent, amazing food! Everything is homemade, from the chips and salsa, to the tortillas, to the fresh cut and cooked meat/vegetables from the adjoining Mexican grocery. The staff was super sweet, and fluent in both Spanish and English. Great prices really make this my new favorite Mexican restaurant!

Husband and I come here often to get food. Really enjoy everything weve eaten. They also have a small grocery store here with good produce. Only thing I would say is an issue is sometimes they can be inconsistent with portions of the order. For example, one time we go and get rice and beans, they will come in seperate containers, full. Another time we go, the rice and beans will be in the same container and not so full. But still delicious.

I would like to start this review by saying I’m cognizant of the current times and I’m always trying to help businesses especially small family owned ones. Tonight I have to write my first bad review in the quad city area. I was recommended to go Carrillo bu multiple people and online sources for authentic Mexican food. Upon entering and barely finding the place I thought I was in for a treat(Mexican market and food store combined) I was greeted to almost tripping over a empty 12 pack case of Coca Cola and then made my way to the back to grab my food. As I arrived at the counter I noticed my bag was ready. I knew two things right away. The guac was not fresh and the creamy out a jar kind as it sat idly next to my bag. Then the lettuce that appears to have fallen on the floor from cooking and no one caring to pick it up. Strikes one and two to both those things, I took it all in stride paid even tipped and extra 5 bucks to be generous in these times. Upon returning home after what I had already witnessed I inspected all tacos (pastor, Asada and chicken) the only thing without fat or gristle was chicken. I took bites of the asada and pastor. I believe both were not actual beef or pork but something else- someone else has left a review stating the same and I believe this is the case as well. The chicken was seasoned ok with not much flavor.In these times I don’t wish to write bad reviews or tear down businesses but due to the uncleanly environment and suspects meats this review had to be written. Please advise before eating here and do some research on other places possibly in moline or near here and find a better spot.
