Love my car, but the dealership made the difference! Easy access to the interstate and their prices are better than anywhere in the state. I know cause I was looking for an unusual car and and nobody else came close the their price. Once the car was picked, financing was the best experience I’ve had! (I’m 49 and have had plenty) there is a rare morality with this outfit…i definitely recommend! They have a little of everything. You won’t be dissatisfied!

Most horrible experience, I got an appointment with the salesman at 3 pm to buy 2021 Truck, when Im there he gives me the key. I test ride 5-10 min I come back I would like to buy the car. He told me he be with me in 2 minutes to finish up the paperwork is end up wait for 2 hours. I go look for him let him know I cant wait anymore he told me he was almost done with other customers. I asked him how long he told me he be done now just wait for the lady to sign the paper, then I wait there for 1 more hour. I end up walk out some guys run behind to tell me Im next. I told him I had been wait 3 hours is long enough. He told me if I dont want to buy the car dont waste his time. The guys are so rude. If I dont want to buy I wouldnt drive 1 hour there total wasting 5 hours of my day sir. I would spend the $50k, but not with Smart Toyota.

Smart Toyota did a superb job selling me my 2021 Prius. Justin the salesman and Nate the finance guy made the sales process smooth and fast. At other dealers there’s usually the disappearing salesman who goes back and forth between managers and you. That creates stress. Not at Smart Toyota. My deal was handled in a timely manner and was on time, and I got a great price. I’ll be back in the future!Ps. Ignore an earlier post where I read my credit report incorrectly. I’m very disappointed with this Toyota dealership. I don’t believe they are in building trust and relationship with the customers. I had a very bad buying experience with them. We made a visit a week ago and saw a car that we like. We communicated through out the week and fixed the price that we are going to trade in two motorcycles. Then we made an appointment with them to come down to Davenport and ready to buy that car today. When we arrived, we were told that they just sold the car. The dealer brought up the fact that we did not made down payment. So they sold the car. I tried to talk to the manager about that . They should have gave us a courtesy call and let us know before we drove 65 miles down there. Manager did not apologize and treated us poorly. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. Just check their website the same day at 5:57pm. The car they said it was sold is still listed as available. Not sure whats going on here.

He made my wife and I feel very comfortable throughout the process and greatly appreciated his honesty and transparency. Service department is a complete joke at this point! Have tried to keep faith they would get their act together, but poor leadership seems to be getting worse every day. My family misses the old leadership group in the early days.(Nick Tarpein, Matt Knebel, Jeff Tank, and Adam Meade.)Find guys like that ASAP! They cared about the customer and bent over backwards to make the experience enjoyable. Service Manager is cold and nobody else seemed to care in upper management.

I found a 2011 Toyota Sienna XLE with low mileage online from Smart Toyota. I instant messaged about it and Caleb was extremely responsive and helpful. I told Caleb in advance that I am very straight forward, and follow the NADA numbers, just like the banks...I am not into funny money, nor the psychology of my sales guy going to his manager 30 times to bargain and plead a deal for me. Caleb agreed and said: Thats how we do it here at Smart Toyota...honesty and transparency...we dont want to waste your time... All I can say is that the customer experience and buying experience was one of the best, seamless transactions I have EVER been involved in!!! Caleb Guyton (sales), Chris Geigle (General Manager), and Curtis Evans (Finance Manager) were PHENOMENAL to deal with, and I would not hesitate to buy my next vehicle from Smart Toyota!!! My hats off to Curtis Evans for keeping the finance paperwork straight! We traded in a 2011 Toyota Sienna XLE for a 2011 Toyota Sienna XLE!!! Derek along with Bob the manager were more than fair with my trades and I feel they truly have me the best price for my new purchase. After my purchase they have consistently been in contact to make sure my vehicles are in great shape by keeping us up to date on service appointments. We had a great new car buying experience with Ted Laka at Smart Toyota. I had talked to him several times in the past 2 weeks regarding a new car on their lot. At one point he said the car had been sold. Apparently financing was an issue for the buyer, so Ted called to let me know it was available again. We drove to Davenport from the Peoria area yesterday. The new car was right out front, running with the air on, when we got there. While we were taking a test drive, they appraised our trade. We were very pleased with the amount we got for our trade. We were approved for very low interest financing thru Toyota....and drove home in our new Prius (our third one!). We were not pressured to purchase any extra coverage or warranty.

If you value your safety, time and wallet..I would highly recommend servicing your vehicle elsewhere.I spent >$500 to have my brakes replaced only to end up back in the shop less than 3 months later due to improper installation. I also found out that aftermarket brakes were installed which were not requested and I’m sure more costly.Aside from the brake issues, I paid for a full vehicle inspection..which turned out to be a complete waste of money as well. All of my axels passed “inspection” despite having a clear leak in the rear. My tire wear was deemed ok despite clearly uneven wear causing steering wheel vibrations. They didn’t even address a few outstanding recalls (called out immediately by a different service center)...the list goes on. I also paid hundreds of dollars for all of my fluids to be flushed/changed...all of which now I am highly skeptical as to if they were done properly and will likely have to pay another shop to replace due to legitimate concerns over the health of my vehicle (Toyota FJ Cruiser).

This is the worst experience I’ve had trying to purchase a vehicle & I spent over 5 hours here to leave with nothing after being pressured to buy a new vehicle.That was a nice diplomatic response but the truth is I told the man on the phone before I came all my information. I had to go upside down on my loan because smart Kia sold me a car that was already breaking down. So to avoid a unnecessary hard hit on my credit I told your employee my credit score, my pay off amount & what I had to put down with it. You provided absolutely no customer service. I wouldn’t recommend coming here at all if you need any kind of real assistance. I said what I said.

I live in Missouri and due to such low inventory across the country, I found the exact vehicle I wanted at SmartToyota of QuadCities. I made an inquiry and had an immediate response from Shawn Guilfoyle. Unlike other dealers from out-of-state, he was willing to work with us to immediately secure the purchase (so we didnt lose the incentives set to expire before we could make the trip to pick up the vehicle). He was extremely responsive to every text/question and made the process of buying a new vehicle very easy. We have bought many cars and sat in many dealerships for hours only to wonder why it had to take an entire day. After flying to pick-up the car, Shawn picked me up at my hotel and I was able to get the vehicle and return to the hotel in less than an hour. He demonstrated all the necessary accessories/technology on the vehicle and sent me on my way without the need for hours-long discussions of extended warranties, etc. It was truly one of the best buying experiences we have had. Even though its 6.5 hours away, my next Toyota will likely be purchased through SmartToyota.

***updateThe service manager called and got me in to get my headlights looked at. Turns out there is nothing wrong with them, just that they are LED and cause other drivers to be blinded at times. I appreciated the follow up to my recent poor experience but my previous experience in August for service where I dropped my car off and they never worked on it was never addressed after I explained what happened.Previous review:Forgot to work on my car. When I called to check on it they told me it was “probably being worked on”. When I went to pick it up it was never touched.Called about an issue I’ve had with the low beams blinding other drivers. People flashing lights at me and pulling over and getting on my rear and then blinding me with their brights. Causing real road rage issues. Service scheduler told me she was “sorry my lights were perceived as too bright by other drivers but it was not something that was covered to fix”.Sales department is great. Service department makes me want to take my business elsewhere.

Gave this dealership a second shot after being disappointed a couple years ago with service.Called and set up an appointment after getting no reply back from text. Appointment was set up, received a text confirmation with directions and salesmens name. Drove 45 min, get to Appt about 10 minutes early to see someone else getting out of the car we had Appt for...wait around to find out they are buying the car.Manager told us these people did NOT have an Appt. but they couldn’t tell them someone already an appointment set up to look at this vehicle.If used vehicles can’t be held, they should make this clear when setting up appointments, not once was this mentioned to us!

Her payment was about $500 - somehow she ended up with THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS IN NEGATIVE EQUITY - when you trade in a lease you have to buy it so this happens sometimes HOWEVER - the fact that this salesperson or anyone at the dealership never suggested to my grandmother hey youve got one payment left just make the payment and then we wont have any negative equity just BLOWS MY MIND. IN ADDITION TO THAT - when I went and asked for her paperwork so I could review the numbers (former F&I Mgr here) they told me THAT IS WAS LOCKED UP AND THEY COULDNT GET IT OUT - if that does not scream SHADY SHADY SHADY then idk what does - I WOULD NOT EVER BUY A CAR HERE AND I WOULD RECOMMEND UNLESS YOU HAVE EXTENSIVE KNOWLEDGE OF THE CAR BUYING PROCESS (including the f&i office) YOU DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE EITHER.

Great purchase transaction with Brandon but it all went downhill from there. I will start by saying all of the staff that I have encountered is extremely nice and professional but that doesnt go very far when they cant fix a problem that should be warrantied by the additional warranty you purchased. I have taken in a total of 4 times. The first time they said they were ordering my part. A month or so passes and I didnt hear a word so I called. Nobody knew anything about it and the part wasnt ordered and there was nothing in their system. So again, waited an hour and they re-diagnosed my issue and said they would order the part and call me when it was in. 2 weeks later I get a call and they take it in, keep it for a day then tell me they ordered the wrong part. They ordered a part for my old Toyota. So they again reorder the part. Once again I take it in, they keep it for a day and I pick it up and the problem still isnt fixed. I called and told them and asked them if my warranty is good at any Toyota dealership because at this point I have zero faith in their service department. Thankfully it is, so I will be taking it to Hiland Toyota to hopefully get it fixed properly. Not even an apology for not fixing the problem. I NEVER write bad reviews but this will hopefully save someone else from the experience I have had. I have wasted hours of my time after purchasing a relatively expensive vehicle...

Had a great time at smart Toyota they made me feel like family. I couldnt have asked for a better car buying experience. The salesmen that helped me through this was great. The salesmen (Micheal Welles ) was great he didnt give me any run around he was straight forward and didnt have any problems going over stuff if I had questions. I definitely will go back to smart Toyota again for my next purchace. Way to go Smart Toyota you have made me a life long customer. Matt was super easy to work with. Communication was stellar. Being 8 months pregnant and dealing with the pandemic I was hesitant to spend a lot of time at the dealership. I was able to do 90% of my car purchase virtually and when I got to the dealership I was in and out with my car in about 30 mins or so! Very accommodating and I Highly recommend!

We bought a brand new Toyota Tundra from Smart Toyota of Davenport Iowa. We purchased the vehicle July 28th 2020. The truck had 13 miles, after driving it a few miles the steering wheel jerked and Pre - Collision sensor came on, It said to take back to dealer immediately. Upon returning to the dealership Jim Bringman Service Manager had told us to drive the truck home with us and to bring it to the closest Toyota Dealership, or to simply stay alert because it was only a Pre - Collision sensor only minor problem. We didnt feel comfortable so we left the truck there. Next day followed up with Jacob the Service technician he told me there was a problem with transmission and they had found metal shavings in the fluid. So the vehicle sat there. Upon purchasing this vehicle we negotiated the rust proofing, our sales agent Joe Moser told us that it was serviced for rust proofing that following day July 29th. On August 7th when picking up the truck from the transmission replacement we followed up with Joe Moser again to see if rust proof was done he said absolutely and that he would have documents for us the next day August 8th. One week had gone by. After repeatedly calling him multiple times, leaving voicemails, I finally got a call back from him only to hear Oh Stephanie didnt get a hold of you? She was supposed to call you Mind you, a week has gone by and all I wanted to tell him was oh it took you a week to return a call, but prior you were in constant communication with me trying to sell me the truck how convenient. At this point I had decided to speak with the GM. Chris told my wife there are no records or documentation on work order for rust proofing. It never got done! He apologized for everything that has happened and is working to get it corrected. I explained to the general manager, that the customer experience was very poor. There is no reason why Joe Moser had to lie to us and avoid us that many times and that he should hire more competent and honest sales people. The GM was quite pleasant to deal with and had set things right. So we were back in fourth to the Quad cities to pick up our truck again because the rust proofing never got done. When picking up the second time Bob Boyer was just as rude and had no business to be talking with us in the first place he had no clue what was going on in this process and wasnt understanding. After asking him for proof all he could tell me was look at your contract! After showing him the contract it was marked for interior only, I asked him if the interior got done? His response was I think so? As a use sales manager you could do better Bobby. Bottom line, avoid Joe Moser at all cost if for some reason you decide to do business with Smart Toyota. Joe was very nice at first, but that is the extent of it. Once the sale is complete, you might as well kick rocks and good luck getting a hold of him should an issue arise. Bad business. Please dont scam other customers like you tried to do with us after paying and not getting the service done is not good! I am in contact with the owner on this matter.
