Haven’t purchased a vehicle in 6 years and had no clue what to expect. The team here is really great. On my test drive, Sam, was so knowledgeable about the car and the Hyundai business and warranties. The finance guy, jerry, is the best person on the planet. He made my experience worth it. Looking to buy a new car so decided to go to Smart as our daughter had a good experience a few months ago. Our salesman, Del, met us immediately and we talked about what we wanted. He arranged a test drive and explained the options in the car. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. We felt no pressure to buy, which we did end up doing. The car manager and finance manager were super helpful and friendly. It was a great experience and...We love the car!!!

Could’ve and would’ve rated higher.. I’ll start off by saying that the salesman was very informative about the car I was looking at which I appreciated. However I didn’t like how much he was trying to rush and pressure me into buying the car when I said I needed more time to think everything over (since I’m a college student ya know gotta be wise here or just in general) so my mom and I went to leave and after we got into the car he came out and tried again to get me to buy the car. Got home and got a phone call and an email from him the next day over it, and then the main store guy as well. It would be nice to not be pressed so hard & I won’t be returning because of it.

I was not expecting to buy a vehicle today - especially one that I have wanted for the last year but could not find in stock! Chris was AWESOME salesman! I went in for an oil change on my Hyundai Elantra and walked out with my FABULOUS 2022 Hyundai Palisade! I couldnt be happier with the interactions that I had with all the staff at Hyundai, but truly Chris was a pleasure to just chat with! Salesperson was informed, helpful, and available for all our questions. Sales manager was helpful in explaining current conditions of the inventory and expected future availability. Finance person was helpful in presenting all the options for extended and additional warranties.Overall as good an experience as we have had with a dealer.

Lady didn’t tell me there was a diagnosis fee. And wanted to charge me $150. But she never told me about it when I left the car anyway. She just assumed that I’m supposed to know. This whole shop wanted to charge me $2000 for a turbo fix. Actually 2600. But now my engine light is gone. And I could actually just clean my turbo. If I haven’t had a friend to tell me and alternative on fixing my turbo. This place would’ve been charging me mad money. Yeah the lady was rude right away. And even though she waived the fee because I think she was in the wrong here. It’s still left a sour taste in my mouth. She didn’t even offer a loaner car. But whatever I’m never coming back here. Not even for an oil change. Stay vigilant because they will always try to charge you mad money.

Just completed our first new car purchase after an extensive search. We came in knowing pretty well what we wanted but with limited inventory available and “market adjustments” abound, we hadn’t been able to find it. Eugene helped us get the exact car we wanted at a fair price. We were a bit apprehensive about what we might encounter when we arrived at the dealership having heard stories of excessive last minute add ons and pushy finance managers, but Jerry was knowledgeable and patiently helped us navigate all the numbers. Bought a car from there a month ago and I do not like the car whatsoever nobody told me I had a five day return I called two days after the five day return and they couldn’t return my car so now I’m stuck with what I have. After getting my vehicle checked out on August 2nd due to having many issues whilst driving and asking them to look my entire vehicle over, they gave me a long list of things to get repaired. I proceeded to get those things repaired from another shop but the issues I was having during the original appointment on August 2nd were still happening. I brought it back to them only for them to tell me the transmission was failing. Something they should’ve noticed in the original appointment. They were dishonest and only wanted me to spend money for everything else before they told me about my transmission. I left a bad survey review because of this and proceeded to be called over and over again by David tucker. When I finally answered and tried to have a calm and polite conversation with him he proceeded to berate me and argue with me telling me it wasn’t their fault it was the other shops cause they didn’t tell me either. The other shop not telling me doesn’t make smart Hyundai any less in the wrong because I did not ask the other shop to look over my entire vehicle only to fix the problems I was told originally. and he admitted that they didn’t look at my transmission at either two appointments meaning they didn’t do what I asked and paid for. It’s insane that he is allowed to berate and argue at customers and that they refuse to take fault for what they did. Horrendous customer service and horrible ethics.

I purchased a used Hyundai Ioniq from Smart Hyundai and my salesman was Parker. I conducted the entire transaction remotely, as I live three hours away from the dealership. Parker accommodated my request for the remote transaction and together with Jerry, the finance manager, they made the process easy and flawless. The only time I was physically at the dealership was to pick up my new purchase. I trusted Parker with his personal inspection of the car and he assured me it was Hyundai Certified and was in mint condition. Both Parkers and Jerrys text communications and voice calls were placed in consideration of my personal work/sleep schedule (I work nights and sleep days) and they were concise, helpful, informed and unintrusive. I am very happy with my new Ioniq and I would highly recommend Parker as your salesman. Smart Hyundai of Davenport is a great place to purchase your next vehicle.

Due to low vehicle supply, I traveled from a different state in June to buy a new car here. Everything went well beforehand (the salesperson Chris was great to work with), but things went south with the finance guy Jerry. Jerry had pre-filled most of the paperwork (despite not using my 5-hour drive time to call and ask questions). Hed made up an employer to put on my credit application. Hed processed the application with the longest term, highest interest payments and complained when I asked him to change the term. Then he lied about the factory warranty (said the hybrid system was covered for 3 years but its actually 10) when trying to sell a supplemental warranty.The bigger issue, though, was that Jerry and the title clerk Brandy filed the wrong title paperwork (titled it as a lease instead of a purchase). I received a defective title a few weeks after purchase and didnt find out until Id spend several hours at the DMV. Brandy was extremely unhelpful and told me several times that I misunderstood that Id leased the car--and didnt admit her mistake until I sent her a copy of the signed purchase agreement (that she had sent me a copy of....).It took two months for the dealership to send me the correct title, which caused me to have to pay a $50 late-registration fee. I asked the dealership to reimburse me for the fee, which they have not done.

After almost 7 hours of car shopping all over Iowa City and most of the sales people just being ridiculous!! We decided to drive out to Davenport for dinner and then stopped at Smart Hyundai! Best decision we did all day! From the minute we told Shaun what we wanted and he gave us the keys to test drive it, we decided on it!! Then we met with Del who knew his stuff and was an absolute pleasure to work with, then on to the finance manager Michelle who was a hoot!! Parker was a very friendly young man. He’s very new to selling cars but did an absolute great job with us I bought the 2022 Hyundai Santa Fe so in love with it drives like you’re not even on the concrete. Bought a 2014 town and country. Happy with deal I got, 2 weeks after i tried the air conditioning it does not work. I had to remove the air clean and realized it had a dirty air filter. I would of thought I new filter would have been replaced when the oil was changed.

Have not yet bought a vechicle yet from them but went car shopping there after having an awful expierence from a dealership in my hometown. My boyfriend and I were greeted right away by salesman Del Smith. He asked if we would like a water and then sat us down to find out what we were looking for. They didnt have what were looking for on that lot so he went and found other options on the other lots. Del Smith was awesome and the manager was great too as he said he would look too see if there was other options out there and would let us know.. We had to get back home so didnt purchase a vechicle but we will deffinately be back there.

Bought a truck from them in early April. On the year drive there was barely enough gas to test drive it. But everything seemed to work fine in the short drive. Upon delivery they took it to clean up and put more fuel in it. When they brought me the truck the check engine light was on. I looked at the sales man and said why is that light on? I dont want a truck I just bought and have to do work on. Especially after paying them in full for the vehicle. Well the light went off after a minute or so. And I was assured if it came back on to bring the truck back and they would take care of it. After awhile the light came back on. Took the truck back and of course there mechanic said the light was not on. So I got the truck back and seemed to run fine buy slightly rough at idle. Finally the light came back on and stayed on. Turns out the truck they sold me has a bad head and they are not wanting to fix it like I was told they would since the light was on upon delivery. And gave me a quote for $2,500 to fix the head issue. If I would of known they were not gonna live up to their word I would of looked at another vehicle instead. But I guess thats what you get for trusting a dealer on their word. I would not buy another vehicle from them again and would. Not reccomend. Now I either have to give them more money or do the job myself.

The worst experience Ive ever had at a dealership. This place of business fits every stereotype of a dealership you are afraid of. My experience was a complete miscommunication on THEIR part that led to my credit being pulled, papers being signed, and no new car to my name. When I called to follow up, they told me to go elsewhere.Worst of all, the second they tried to get more money out of me, that I did not consent to and was not willing to give, led to a complete 180° change in attitude, terrible customer service, ignored phone calls, and not a single word to try to fix their mistake. Spend your money elsewhere please. If you are worried about the bad Car Dealership experience, this is not a place for you. Just sad.

It’s quite simple; Smart Hyundai has THE BEST staff in the QC, if not the country. My husband and I bought a new Elantra in 2019 which unfortunately was totaled on August 11, 2020. We came back to this dealership because of our last experience and they got us put into a new 2020 Tucson in a little under three hours. Del is nothing short of amazing when touring through the lot and getting our process going. Michelle who got our loan all in line worked SO hard for us and got us the best interest rate. Its been a couple of weeks since my visit, but I could not have been happier with the the service that I received for my new brakes and rotors. The staff was absolutely fantastic. As Roosevelt approached me on the first day he was very patient and understanding in my situation. He provided me with space to walk around and figure out what I exactly wanted, while giving me respectful advice without being pushy. He helped me to make my own decisions as he allowed me to test drive around 5 cars and worked with me 3 different days as I was so picky. He continued to pursue the best decision for me with my financial problems, while also finding the right fit for me. He found me the perfect car that checked everything off my list and even better price then I set my budget at. I am now going to spend way less on my monthly payments then I intended and I was able to put money down as they were patient with me. The car I got has more then I ever would have asked for and I am so very thankful for the experience I had with the staff. We went to look at a car our salesman was not there . Another salesman came out to help us but he didnt spend much time with us when he found out that we were working with someone else. I will say that Lujack has a lot of cars for sale in this comlex and they have cars for sale of pretty much every make and model and a wide range of prices and options so whatever price range you are looking at you should be able to find a car here in that price range. The salesman that we have been dealing with here Rick Hawk seems like a great guy and has always treated us well.

After telling the service technician I was hearing wind noise coming from around the drivers door window while driving on a windy day, she told me there was a recall on that. She ordered the part, the shop installed it in a reasonable amount of time. She said there may be another part that needs to installed later and they will notifiy me when that happens. Great service. I do wish the technicians would wer masks when dealing with the clients during this time of of the pandemic, this makes good sense.

After owning nothing but Ford products for 25+ years, we decided to see what else was out there in the small SUV market. After a good deal of research, we narrowed our choices down with the Hyundai Tucson at the top of the list.We did end up buying a Tucson and are very pleased with our purchase. The inside is much roomier than expected and the overall feel of the vehicle easily beats the Escape we had. The drive is smooth and quiet, it feels sturdier than the Escape did, there are a lot of bells and whistles without a lot of extra money or options we didnt want or need and there are some nifty safety features. The warranty was another selling point.Our experience at Lujack was pleasant enough. They gave me a fair price for my trade-in and there were some nice discounts on the 2019 models that were not tied to using their financing. Our salesman was Todd Coble and he was friendly and knowledgeable. He explained the process of completing the trade the next day, made sure the Tucson was clean with a full tank of gas and gave me about an hour of his time to explain the ins and outs of the car. And while we didnt obtain financing through them, we did have to interact with their finance folks to sign the paperwork. Michelle was quick and funny and left us with a good feeling about the process...if you have gone through it, you know it can be gruelingly slow. But we were in and out in about 2 hours.I have already received two introductory emails from their service department which leaves me with the impression that my experience with a Hyundai service department will far exceed my experience at a local Ford dealership. I got my car worked on and I honestly couldnt believe how speedy and efficient everything was. I havent had that good of car service in a long time. Cole VandeWoostyne worked with me wonderfully to ensure great service. When my car was done he took the time to make sure I understood fully what was wrong with my car and even patiently answered any and all questions I had (which was a bunch). I will definitely be a returning customer.

Taking my truck to Lujacks COSTS me $500!!After being reassured over the phone that I would not be wasting their time (or mine) by getting a low-ball offer, I decided to take my diesel truck to get an offer to sell it out right (not a trade-in).Well...after taking my truck for a drive, the salesman said that he wouldnt be able to come close to my price. Very frustrating. He hands me the keys, then I leave...but my truck wont start. Feeling kind of awkward, I go inside and ask for a jump. Nothing. Its not the battery. The glow plugs werent heating up. I asked the salesman if he turned the truck off and restarted it on his test drive. He said yes. Then I asked him if he waited for the glow plug light to go off before he tried to start it. He said no...like he knew better...but didnt.He blew the glow plugs!! I had to get the truck towed back to my mechanic...at my cost. Get the glow plugs replaced...at my cost.Jayson Newman (the general manager) said he would consider helping with these costs but never responded to me when I sent him the invoice.Do not trade in or sell your vehicle here!! They just want to get you in the door so they can manipulate you into getting rid of your vehicle!!I wish I could give it a NEGATIVE star rating!!I will NEVER come back here again!!

The staff was very nice but it was very upsetting to get a quote for one price then having to pay $57 dollars more due to shop supplies. As well as them making my appointment at 12 then coming out 10 minutes later while we are sitting in the waiting room and telling us that we will have to wait longer as our technician goes to lunch at noon. They washed my car (without asking first) and left spots all over it. I was not happy with my experience.
