Wide selection of lighting (mostly traditional rather than modern), and friendly helpful staff. However, the place is packed, and theres always something overhead, so if youre tall like me (66), be prepared to spend the entire visit crouched over and running into things.

Support your local store. I had a rather difficult problem with an outside lamp post. I went to Home Depot several times for hours because: a) They needed more measurements, b) They didnt have the parts at the time (which they never got), or c) The guy told me that I needed a new lamp post.I decided to go to the Light Source. Within 10 minutes Vickie looked at my old piece, knew the exact size and part, and I was out of there in 15 minutes. But during that time I experienced how well they treat their customers (including me), and understood why they have been in business at the same spot since 1984. Do try them out for your lighting needs. Stores like this should get our support.
