Ive bought a few things from Jim Shields over the years and he never forgets a face... thats worth a lot to me! Hate to see him go but glad the business will go on.
I went to Collie Equipment company -, and worked with Seth. I bought a 4wd tractor with several pieces of equipment and I couldnt be more pleased with the transaction and the first rate care provided by Seth.These are some great folks to deal with. Seth took me outside, went over the different tires available and explained all the various attachments that can be easily connected to this tractor. He even offered to deliver it free himself at no charge (Im around 35 miles away!) .
The staff was very friendly. They had our lawn mower part when they said it would be in and had it for a good price

I needed a tractor for my property but couldn’t physically be there to make the purchase and take delivery. Jim and his team did an amazing job at helping me through my virtual purchase to make it as seamless as possible. Although there were a couple of snags along the way, they were quick to address and fix the problem. Just great all around folks and would absolutely do business with them in the future.

Drove about an hour to purchase a mower from here and couldnt get anyone in sales to help us. There were two other customers waiting when we arrived and they got tired of waiting and left. We waited about thirty minutes and even got someone from the parts department to call someone and they still didnt come help us. Got tired of waiting and left and wouldnt go back if the mower was free.

Absolute sorry excuse for a local small business. Drove thirty minutes each way since I called ahead and they had what I needed in stock. Bought two starter teeth gear at $6.50 a piece. Drive home, install one new gear, mower fires right up perfectly, starts a second time perfectly, do a little mowing and upon the next restart the toothed gear splits in half. Pretty inconvenient but at least I had bought two. Install second one, it splits first crank. I returned today with the thought process Ill explain the situation, swap for two new gears and be on my way, everyone happy. Well it was the furthest from that. After explaining my situation to the manager, old guy wearing hat and glasses, he gets defensive very quickly and tells me they dont warranty those, and it must be of some fault of my own. I continue to try reason with him, saying understand the amount of time and effort Ive wasted over $13 in parts. Still no dice, he tells me to get out and never come back. I couldnt understand that and continue to explain I just want two new gears and Im happy. He then threatens me with calling the police all the while at this point hes gotten completely worked up and defensive. I ask him to just please view it from my perspective as calmly as I can. He asked me to walk outside with him, where I again explained its $13 in parts, how can that be worth losing a customer. He then offered me $6 out of his wallet which I declined and said Id like a new part not the cash. This was returned with well Im not giving you any parts and now your not getting the money either. Get the hell out of here and dont ever come back. Whod you say your kin to? Im going to be calling them and finding out about you.... So bravo Collie Equipment. Protect what matters most right....... Your bottom line, not a customer.
I continue to receive great and personalized service, after the sale. Seth, my salesman, came to my home and helped me get something figured out with my canopy cover that I was struggling with. He didnt have to do that and wasnt in a rush to get home to his family, he spent about an hour in my very warm garage and helped me get it right.These are good, regular people who treat their customers by the golden rule.

So much easier to deal with than Wilsons Lawn and Garden. The part that I needed was ordered and here in a couple days.
One word..... rude.I called to get a price on a kubota tractor and told the salesman what I was looking for and first word out of his mouth was I dont have it call another dealer and hung up on me. He wouldnt even price it or say let me see what I can do. Usually with kubota you can do a transfer off another lot if someone else has it.Stay away from them I wouldnt buy a peace of bailer twine from these jerks. I never been treated that way anywhere before.

Buying a product there is a breeze. Unfortunately if the product you buy is faulty you will be stonewalled by an arrogant know it all named Jim who will accuse you of anything it takes in order to prevent him from admitting there is any problem with what you bought there at all.
If you have their type tractor your ok have some money .
