I was nervous about buying a new embroidery and sewing machine. However the owners went above and beyond to make sure I had what I was looking for. I had no clue what all I would need but the explained and made sure I had what was needed. They sat down with me to show me everything my machine could do in detail! Looking forward to doing classes. I love me machine! The store is beautiful and full of so many beautiful fabrics!!!
Staff and owners are very friendly and make sure that their customers are happy. Our group has a retreat there every year. There is only one thing that I feel could be improved on are the beds. They are too hard! Besides that, everything was great!
Gorgeous fabrics and the friendliest staff! Oh, and the Retreat center is a great place to enjoy sewing and make new friends.
The store was beautifully stocked. Had a great time with all customers and staff.
Helpful young lady found exactly what I needed
The salesman was rude and condisending. He was belittling. The fabrics were over priced. They lost out on out of town spenders because of his attitude.
I called yesterday to find a new embroidery machine. Cynthia was so very helpful and kind. I then made the 2 hour trip to Danville to pick up my machine. Not only did they have the machine I wanted, they had the supplies I needed! I couldnt ask for better customer service. I look forward to my next trip. Thank you!
Always a joy to go to Threads of Time. The staff is wonderful. Cynthia ia a great instructor, knowledgeable and very kind. Harris does a wonderful job. Kind and caring. ThNk you for snother great experience.
My non-quilting friend and I were driving from N Ill. to Houston, TX with the Quilt Travelers Book in my lap. We drove some distance out of our way to see this place. And we were NOT disappointed! It started out an elder care home and it has become a delightful warren of supplies, fabric, well-appointed work rooms and gracious bedrooms. People come from miles away to shop, learn and sew. Missy and Pam helped us through our confusion as to where things were located and each time we turned a corner there was MORE!!! It was wonderful. What a selection and how cleverly it was displayed. My friend found some fabric she simply had to have, as I knew she would. We will definitely be back and I would love to take some classes there. Unfortunately, for us, the commute would be a bear! Loved it, loved it, loved it!
Great store. Lots to choose from. Owner and staff very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a stop for anyone that uses fabric for any kind of price. Only 1 mile off the main interstate.
Very helpful and friendly.
The Threads of Time in Danville, IL is a great quilt shop for all your quilting needs. A recent ownership change makes for a enthusiastic and delightful atmosphere to shop and visit with the the owners, Harris and Cynthia. “Oh the changes they will make!” Their warm personalities are a delight. An attached retreat center has all the comforts of home. Quilters come from miles around to stay a few days or more to work on quilt projects, share ideas, stories and enjoy being with friends. I personally have had several lasting friendships begin at the shop over the years. The previous owners were wonderful people making me feel so very welcomed. Please include this stop in Danville the next time you want an adventure. You won’t be disappointed!!
I visited Threads of Time about a month ago with a local guild to stay at the retreat center. I have to say I was a bit nervous only because this was my first retreat and I didnt know what to expect. I can tell you by the end of my stay everyone made me feel like I was family and a guest staying at their home. Cynthia and Harris really have gone out of their way to welcome me and I cant even begin to tell you how amazing this place is! I find myself wanting to make reservations and go have a sew weekend on a daily basis. Some would say I am addicted, but in all reality this is just a great place to spend time with others that enjoy sewing and quilting as much as you do. Its like an extended slumber party and I never want it to end! Thanks again and I will see you very soon!
I had to fix my instrument case on the road and not only did threads of time have all the necessary supplies, they even let me make my repair in their classroom. Thank you threads of time!
New owners are great, too. no yarns too purchase. Lots of new fabrics and great machines.
Great place. New owners are wonderful and very knowledgeable. Visited Threads and Beds for the first time last month.
Outside isnt great ...but the fabric selection is awesome. They also have yarns & sashiko supplies, as well as a huge classroom area. They have rooms for rent on site - available when taking classes here.
Wonderful fabrics, a fun shopping experience + southern hospitality. Fresh cookies and coffee to keep husband happy too while I explored all the nooks and crannies
Nice shop
