I just wanted to say that I had a great experience with Danbury Overhead Door. They showed up when they said, they were going to be there. Loving the fact, that they are family owned. I certainly miss that kind of integrity in todays corporate world.Karen was an absolute pleasure to work with. She was wonderful, compassionate and understanding when I ran into a problem.The technicians/installers, Andrew and Nick were friendly and knowledgeable. I was pleasantly surprised at how neat they were. No mess, they left nothing behind; you dont see that very often.Their professionalism and honesty speak for themselves. I highly recommend them, so happy that I found them.

Very satisfied customer, had an issue with my older garage door opener they had installed 15 years ago. When I called I expected it might take days or a week for a service call. Someone came the next day! Turned out I need a new part as the old one had worn to almost the point of snapping. Not unexpected in 15 years. Given the age of my system they could have easily said I needed to replace the whole thing, but the service person stated just replacing the part would take care of the issue and even though the system was older they didnt recommend replacing it, it was still functional. I really appreciate a company that doesnt try and sell you more than you need. They didnt have the part that day but came out the next morning and fixed it, lubricated everything and made sure it was ready to use. So in less than 36 hrs after calling for service, my issue was fixed. Total cost was reasonable as well, their on site service call price is less than than what most professional services (plumber, electrician etc) charge. Both service persons were professional, friendly and knowledgeable.

Every aspect of working with them exceeded my expectations. I spoke with a few door companies, and Danbury Overhead was the most responsive and knowledgeable, and there was zero sales pitch, but tons of great advice on things i was not even thinking about. They installed yesterday - and having them here was a pleasure. They are a fun group that love their work, and that shows in the pride they take with everything. They heard I was installing overhead bike hangers this weekend, and insisted, while they were here, that they mount the boards for me - of course, no charge. I also mentioned I was battling a snake sighting in my basement and they said - hey if you see it today, let us know well get it out. Incredible attitudes. FYI, did not see the snake again :(Now to the real reason I hired them! The doors. I was surprised at how many hours they spent here - in fact, they worked until about 7:00 PM. My garage had many challenges, but they never blinked. They also did carpentry for me - to reshape my opening. Excellent work. And the results are beautiful. Photo attached!

Having a Family Reunion on a Saturday, with 25 people from 3 States! The day BEFORE.....the Garage door WONT OPEN, and all the Food, Drinks, Tent, Tables and Chairs are TRAPPED INSIDE THE GARAGE. I called Overhead Garage of Danbury, for an appointment, and Karen asked if next week would work. When I explained about the Family Reunion to Karen, she called me back and arraigned to send Scott. Within 1/2 hour, he arrived and SLITHERED UNDER-THE-DOOR, opened the Garage, replaced 4 Worn-Out-Rollers that allowed the door to come-off the track. Service UNBELIEVABLE SERVICE, PARTICULARLY THESE DAYS!!!!

I was so pleased with the promptness and ease in fixing my problem and double checking to make sure everything was working properly!

Tech was on time, courteous, and took the time to walk me through what was needed to be done to fix the problem. Have used this company a couple of times through the years and it has always been a good experience.

I am very happy with the repair of my old house garage door! Andrew did a complete rebuild of all of the hardware, springs, cables, brackets and was able to save my old door! Very knowledgeable and did everything he said he could and would! I highly recommend. (Danbury Overhead Door has an actual local physical address and isnt an agency with multiple google addresses that say local and are not.)

Great Prompt Detailed friendly service .....

When I first called Danbury Overhead Doors, they came recommended and were able to come check out my issue the same day which was really appreciated. It was determined I needed a new motor for my opener, and was told they could have it up in a couple of days. Unfortunately I had to call a few times to get a better sense of when they were coming, and found out that due to staffing, they had to push it to the following week. The following week it got pushed another day because of staffing again, and pushed once more because of weather. While I get that a few of these were out of their control, it felt like I was the one that had to keep following up, and communication on their end was lacking a bit.When the new motor was installed I was happy with it and it seemed to work great. However, just 2 days after install, I noticed the door was bouncing and was not running smooth. I found that a securing bolt from the track arm to the door had come completely off, as it must not have been secured when the repair was made. When I first called them with the issue, it was going to be 3-4 days before they could get to me to check the issue out. Thankfully I was able to find the issue myself and make the fix otherwise I would have been without use of the garage again for a few days despite having just paid for the new install. After this, there was no follow-up from the company to apologize which was a bit surprising, which is why I waited to write this review. Gave 3 stars simply because the new motor was installed at reasonable cost, but going forward I would probably call another company.

My 1 1/2 year old garage door was in need of a tune-up. I called on Monday and on Wednesday they came to fix and lube my door. The noise that I heard was gone and is now running very quietly. Thank You!

Excellent! I called and they did the job well. They came on time and called before and put everything together better than expected.

Excellent experience from the time I placed the order for a service call to the time the technician, Scott, was done. Called late Monday afternoon and the door was repaired at 8:30 am the next day. Scott the tech was friendly, really knowledgeable, polite, and took time to answer questions and review the work that was done. All at a fair price.

The work was done very quickly and everything looks and works very well. The gentleman who came was more than helpful in doing the work and explaining how the new motor etc. worked. I highly recommend Danbury Overhead Door.

These guys are excellent! Friendly and fast service. They were also very helpful in tracking down a set of very old (legacy) garage door clickers.

Great service, and since they have a relationship with Clopay, they were able to get my garage door panel in days, not weeks like I was quoted elsewhere (not to mention the price here was better!).Also, make sure to say hi to Xara the pup when youre in the office! Very professional Test test

From the initial estimate through the installation these people were superb. This is also a family run company which for me is a plus. They recommended replacing all the old wood framing which supported the old door which was 30 years old. I would highly recommend this for the small additional cost involved.Recently a sheet rock worker cut the low voltage control wires while doing some work in the garage. I called Danbury Overhead and they walked me through reconnecting the wires. Thats the kind of service you wont get from the big box stores. Once again I would highly reccommend this company .Kevin Gallagher

I had another company look at the garage door and simply said the entire torsion bar had to be replaced...cost: $800. Danbury Overhead doors came out and said they could either replace the entire bar with the exact replacent for $800 or replace it with a generic one that would enable a simple spring teplacement in the future if it ever happens again...cost: $300. I went with the latter and its never worked better (and I saved $500). The tech, David, was prompt, couteous and very professional. I highly recommend Danbury Overhead Doors.
