These guys are great!!!! I’ve come here on multiple occasions and every time I do business with them I leave feeling satisfied. They’re always fair with their prices when I sell to them and also extremely polite to boot! I gladly drive out of my way and past 2-3 other shops to come here.

After researching many jewelry/coin dealers online, I finally decided on Dana Point Gold and Coin. I walked in with no appointment and was immediately greeted by Brad who assisted me throughout the process of evaluating my items for sale. I was given clearvalues of my items and I was even advised to hold on to some items until the market value rises. Overall I was very pleased with my experience and feel that this business is one based on transparency and honesty.

I had an excellent experience here -I brought in a large collection of old coins and Kevin was incredibly patient, good-humored, and fun to work with in assessing the value of the collection. He always answered my questions and helped to educate me in the areas where my knowledge was lacking. The offer he made was very fair and I felt like I was treated with true respect, honesty, and friendliness. I will definitely make this my first choice next time I am interested in selling old coins. I am grateful that he made this transaction so surprisingly and genuinely enjoyable.

Armed with a cup of coffee and some scrap-worthy gold ... I decided to spend my day driving to a bunch of gold buyers around Orange County to see which establishment (with tons of stars) was gonna make my day$$$ Luckily, my first stop was at Dana Point Gold & Coin because it was only a few minutes away. A very short time later, I walked out with a big fat check in my hand from a major bank ... PLUS, the satisfaction and confidence that I didnt get screwed over during the transaction. Especially, as a woman who was free-wheeling it without my boyfriend. Co-owner BRAD was super professional, positive, relaxed, informative, honest, and most importantly, realistic. He walked me through the entire process/facts which matched up with all of my gold-buying research/expectations. I know for a fact that I received more money here for my scrap gold than I would have at other establishments ... because I went to two renown jewelry appraisers the next day for other insurance appraisals and they offered me $100s less for the same scrap gold in weight/karats that I sold to DPGC. Bottom line, they care about how they treat you so that you will come back again which is unheard of in this business. Thanks again.PS Just went back with another scrap gold item and spoke to co-owner Kevin - who could not stop cleaning his desk long enough to focus on my item or anything I said. When I told him I was a returning customer and how awesome my transaction was with Brad ... he even told me to come back tomorrow when Brad is working. Totally disrespectful and a waste of time. Great experience, from easy access and parking to excellent customer service from Kevin and Brad. Was selling silver flatware, odd jewelry and coins got a straight forward fare rate and good info.

So, not only are these dudes just plain kind and sincere but straight up ethical and more importantly empathetic to your situation. I’m sure half of their clientele consists of people in difficult situations. I personally, was living hand to mouth after the loss of my mother followed by some extremely bad luck. when it rains it pours I guess? Brad, the owner I dealt with, not only made sure I was not ripped off but made sure I didn’t part with pieces I’d have regretted in the future. Yes they’re running a business, but they know the deal and aren’t out there pulling some “There will be blood” moves to make a buck. They’re chill local surfer dudes that are running a fair is fair business. Hell, I was so touched I wrote my first review.
