I have been wearing Crocs exclusively for almost 16 years because I have many foot issues. I didnt even know my shoe size in a pair of real shoes. Im a dog walker and food delivery driver and I was 48 in May. Time to get proper shoes. Mark listened to my concerns, watched how I walk, and properly measured my feet. Just moved to Dallas, bought multiple pairs of shoes as I always do to rotate. One specific pair really bothers my calf and causes my foot to cramp, so I was shocked to learn they don’t have an exchange policy like literally ever other running store in the world. Employees were great, but won’t be shopping here anymore unfortunately due to this policy.

Ive been having a lot of pain in my legs and feet from walking on concrete floors daily. I decided to get professionally fitted for proper shoes for my daily workouts and workouts. I chose ASICS for my workout shoes and Brooks for my work shoes. Im normally in a tremendous amount of pain after a long day at work, but I feel great now. I cant thank Run On enough!

Just thought you should know their exchange policy has changed. You can bring your shoes back as long as there is slight wear....I bought my shoes here specifically because of their exchange policy. I changed shoes with confidence because they have always swapped if the new pair didnt work. Well not this time...After only having the shoes for 1 week I took them back because they were rubbing. After spending $156.00 on a pair of shoes I am EXTREMELY disappointed. The new and updated policy was not explained - needless to say wont be back. Too bad.

I can’t speak highly enough of how friendly and helpful the staff are at this store. Mark and Kayla were incredible and spent so much time helping me pick the perfect pair of running shoes. I am very new to running, so I was intimidated, but they walked me through everything and took their time explaining all the details to help me make an informed decision. They have a huge selection of all kinds of running gear, and the rewards program is a great perk! I will certainly be back!

Bought an almost $200 pair of running shoes and barely used them. The inner liner started coming loose almost immediately. Took the shoes back to run on and was told I would have to return them to the manufacturer on my own shipping bill. The store manager seemed unconcerned about the issue and unwilling to offer an alternative solution, such as store credit or exchange for a new pair that wasn’t defective. The manager stated they were a small business which is why I chose them but their lack of interest in customer service and their inability to provide a durable functioning product is very disappointing. Guess I’ll have to go with Amazon next time sadly. At least Amazon appears to care about their customer’s concerns.

A sports massage therapy client and I set up a time to meet at this location because when I called the Preston/Forest Run On thats located a couple of miles from my office, a salesperson at that location informed me that because they were a smaller store, they didnt carry the shoe that I had in mind for my client. Knowing that there were some other stores in Dallas that carried the ALTRA Instinct, she was nice enough to do a quick search to see which store was the closest to my office.When we reached the shoe area at the back of the store, Augustine was right there to greet us. After measuring my clients feet, he brought out the ALTRA Instinct in a couple of different sizes. Since my client expressed an interest in wanting to buy two pairs, and being that they only carried the Instinct in one color, Augustine went ahead and brought out a new shoe from ALTRA. My client loved how both shoes fit. And we walked out the door in under 20 min.Having fit running shoes myself, I can honestly say that Augustine is a pro! Our experience couldnt have been any better.

Mark was amazing! I’ve been struggling to find excellent shoes or boots for a 1400 mile backpacking trip. Multiple brands. Multiple styles. Multiple trips to high-end outdoor retailers.Mark was able to evaluate my foot, my gait and my goals. Within a few minutes, he had me fitted into a brand called ON from Switzerland. I finally ordered the Oofos online – and I couldn’t be happier! I can really feel the arch support. I just hope the cushioned support lasts a long time (these are expensive). Is there an estimated time customers would need new Oofos, like the running shoes? I’m eyeing the Oofos shoes, but the sole seems so soft, I wouldn’t want them to get damaged from my long walks. Either way, if you have the money to spare, I highly recommend the Oofos.

I have bought my shoes from this location for the past 8 years. Each year it seems to be going down hill even more so than the last. I have now ordered my shoes because for whatever reason they sell the shoes I have bought for 8 years but now dont seem to have my size each time I stop in the store. I have been coming into the store 3-5 times in the past 3-4 months to check if they had any. I was told that the design was going to change and it would be best to wait until the new design came in and they would have them in stock like they always have had in the past. I WAITED... I RETURNED to find the exact same answer and was deterred from special ordering at the time. I finally went back in and just ordered them because even though the new style was in for my shoe they once again didnt have my size in stock. This was never an issue for the first many years as they were always on top of their game and always had the answer and or stock.To me it just seems like they have sold to corporate group and now the feeling and pride of ownership has left. I used to absolutely love all my interactions with the store employees. I now feel like they are one step above foot locker knowledge.

Ive been to this location twice in the past week. The first time I went in. The service was exceptional and all questions were answered. The second time the staff seemed put out by me stopping 15 mins before closing. They really made it a point to make there feelings known and I was definitely made to feel like an inconvenience. I still purchased a pair of shoes but doubt further purchases from this location.Update:5/24/20I go back to exchange a pair of shoes that I purchased earlier in the day from the location on Preston and Forest. After buying the shoes I took them home and didnt like them as much as initially. This why i went to this location plus the weather was rough. Anyway, I get there and tell the lady behind the counter. I want to exchange the shoes for something different. She says ok. I had a gentleman named Dave help me find the right shoe. Dave, thank you for your professionalism. So i follow him to do the exchange and grant it. The pair I get now is more expensive. So the lady, who initially helped me. Says to me whats wrong with the shoes you have on now. You should stick to what works, so this doesnt happen. I look at her and tell her I own multiple different running shoes. It doesnt matter I am spending my money with your company. This does not matter. She then just walks off. I ask the gentleman. Who she was and he says shes the assistant manager Lynn. This location has been a problem before but today. These people have a hostile attitude and I feel harassed the times, which Ive visited. I will definitely not be back and will be calling there corporate. In this day and age with the way things are and you have someone willing to spend money. You dont make stupid comments like that. I will say that this location is not a representation of the great service received at the Run On at Forest and Preston. If I could give 0 stars I would.*Update 9-28-20I went into the store to kill some time. I’ve been looking at the On Cloud X blue and green color way online. It happened they had this particular shoe in stock. After having previously had bad experiences in the store. I was helped by Lynn, so I was ready for something to occur or so I thought. She was extremely helpful and polite. She was willing to go above and beyond. I tried like four different pairs of shoes. I did buy the On Cloud X. The experience I had this time around exceeded my expectations and I want to compliment Lynn for the help and detail in her explanations of the questions, which I had. I am raising the rating to 3 stars, previously 1 star. This time around the overall experience was much better.Update 5/19/21I came in talked to Topper who was previously at the Preston and Forest location. He help me find the right shoe. As always very informative and insightful. I will definitely be back . Thanks for the top notch experience and service.

Ive been coming here for years with generally decent to good experiences. Today I lucked out, Ashley, the store manager, assisted me with finding new running shoes. She was truly phenomenal! Did not receive any assistance. A large crowd of customers just left. I walked in said hello I was interested in being fitted for shoes. There were two clerks. One said hi and then ran to the back I followed her thinking she would help me find a shoe but she went to the back room and started talking to someone. The other individual at the cash register stayed there. There was no one else in the store. I left after several minutes of looking st the shoes and not having any assistance. Im not sure if this was for racial reasons. Ive never not received service like this especially after specifically asking for help.

I was told when I bought my shoes I could run in them and return if they did not work out. I went back to the store today and what I was told was wrong. The lady was rude and would not let me return the shoes.BUY ON LINE DIRECTLY FROM BROOKES OR AT REI WHERE RETURNS ARE NEVER AN ISSUE. I tried to support the local RUNON store but never again.BUY ON LINE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The staff always greets me with a friendly hello and are very proactive In helping or answering questions. They are active runners as well so they are knowledgeable and can help give some good advice.

Great spot to find running shoes that fit your feet properly.

Being on my feet was becoming painful no matter the activity and I’d hoped new shoes would improve my situation. Not only did Mark help me replace my running shoes he also helped me choose a new pair of shoes for the gym and cushioned shoes for wearing around the house. The pain is gone, I’m smiling again, and Mark saved me a trip to a podiatrist!

I went to the store just before closing to grab a gel for a long run I had early the next morning and the lights were already turned off. I went up to the door and two employees were inside, they came to the door and said I already set the alarm. I said by your store hours you should still be open and I just need a gel for an 18 mile run I have early in the morning. The employees proceeded to walk out and locked the door behind them.
