I contacted nick about replacing the granite countertops in my bathroom. While I am happy with the counter top, the under mount sink was installed incorrectly using caulking and pieces or cardboard shoved underneath instead of using the metal clips to keep it in place. Now I am having to hire someone else to remove and install correctly.

I contacted Nick Patel with LoneStar Granite regarding fabricating countertops for my kitchen remodel. Initially he was helpful and communicative. He even met me at 2 different slab provider warehouses, so that I could find the perfect slab. He asked me what shape I wanted for my countertops and I explained I wanted to modernize my kitchen and give it clean lines, so I communicated that I definitely wanted a square edge on my countertops with no round edges. I gave him a 50% deposit and 4 days before installation I informed him that I wanted a waterfall edge that extended to the floor for at my kitchen island. He agreed. The day of installation Nick instructed his installation crew to cut every single one of 90 degree angled SQUARE edges at a 45 degree angle. Doing this gave my kitchen a traditional look instead of modern appeal and completely eradicated the ability to do a waterfall edge. He did come to my home twice to discuss the issue, but justified his actions by saying cutting the countertop edges looked better with the style of my cabinets. I paid him almost over $3,000 and he said there is nothing he can do to make it right. I would have reluctantly accepted the edges cut alllllllll the way around the kitchen, but at the very least I expected him to rectify the problem at the island where I wanted the waterfall edge and replace that section from the seam down. I would not recommend LoneStar Granite to a family member, friend or co-worker. It’s not the fact that he made a mistake because we ALL make mistakes, it’s the fact that he wasnt willing to rectify it and justified his actions based upon his own taste not my desires after I spent thousands of dollars with him. Now instead of being happy with my investment I have settle for it. Im a hard working single mother who cherishes every penny I make. I feel bad about leaving this negative review, but I feel as if it is my only recourse and I would like to warn other potential customers.
