Nothing but positive things to say about P & Js.Place is super clean and organized. Its not like other shops that look like a warehouse full of car parts and TVs from the 80s.They have a lot of gold jewelry to choose from. Which made me happy.Anthony, who helped me for probably an hour? Couldnt have been more patient and cool. Id definitely want someone like him working for me if I had a brick and mortar. He really was the BEST!

Literally are the best theyre very reasonable and understanding and they also go out their way to make sure a customer is taking care of and even allowed me to sit and charge my phone And wait 20 mins for ride. I definitely recommend everyone to come here. Great genuine people

Small store but well maintained. This is a good place if you need a TV, jewelry, or tools. There was plenty of knowledgeable staff on hand so customers didnt have to wait in line or feel rushed. Its rare that a pawn shop has enough employees for the customers, but this one does, and that makes it a pleasant experience!

I typically dont leave reviews, but I had such a good experience recently that I felt one was necessary. My girlfriend and I came in looking for a bass guitar, and I really cant say enough how great the people in here are. Everyone was so friendly, helpful, and really went out of their way to make us feel comfortable to make choices without pressure. We ended up buying a bass, and left with a new record player (with a record thrown in for free!) They are just kind people, and being only a mile away from my apartment, Ill definitely be back.

So, this morning, I was actually looking for a mechanic to help me. However, I also I’m looking for a guitar. Out of pure luck. I stopped at P&J Pawn Shop. There, not only I found a good selection of guitars, but I also resolved my ‘mechanic’ issue. Carlos, directed to Leo who, miraculously in a few seconds fixed my car problem. I would like to suggest anyone who is looking for guitars or a good mechanic to go there. They are at Carroll and Columbia.

2 years ago I did a review on P & J pawn located on Columbia avenue in Dallas Texas. I gave them five stars and said that they were the best pawn shop in Dallas, probably in Texas - and once again I have good reasons to believe that.So, yesterday I picked up a recently pawned PlayStation 4. When I took it to the store I took it in the box that it originally came in. All of the various cords were there and also the controller. Fast forward two and a half months later. I go to pick it up. However when I get home I cannot find the controller and I go back and make one of the managers aware of this problem. In this case the manager happened to be John Wade, who is the owners son. When I outline the problem to him there was no stressing from him about the situation. He simply listened to my complaint, checked the camera, and even though he could not visually see the controller coming out of the box he told me to show up the next day and he would have the controller for me. However the next day I found the controller had slipped to the bottom of the box and was now on the other side of the box. I personally went back to the pawn shop and told John what had happened. And although he knew I now had the controller, he still asked me if I needed the one he had got for me, because through it all he said he simply wants his customers to be happy. And with all of my heart I truly believe this. This shop is owned and operated and manage by the Father Patrick Wade and his son John Wade. I wish to God we could get this type of compassion and leadership in government. If we could there would be a lot of happy people, just as I am today from my dealings with them over the span of the past 14 years.I cannot tell anyone what to do and what choices to make... But I can tell you this. I absolutely will never settle for second best and so anytime I find myself in a bind for money this is the only pawn shop Im ever going to take my merchandise to. If you if you are reading this you would be smart to follow suit.

From what others have posted in their reviews, if youre looking to buy, this isnt a bad place to go. They do have a large selection of items, and in good shape. From the other side of the pawn shop, if youre looking to pawn some of your items, they will need to be in PERFECT shape. They refused to give me a loan on a HP Laptop (Split x2) because there was a screw missing from the bottom.

I was stuck without a phone and happened by P&J Pawn. The owner, Patrick, went out of his way to help me, found a phone and agreed I could return it if it didnt work He and his staff were very helpful, open about the merchandise they sell and friendlyI recommend P&J Pawn for their kindness and thank them for their willingness to go the extra mile to help me out!

One of the guys in here is super rude... Raised his voice when I asked him a question, I think he was a manager or something. Told him to work on his customer service and I will definitely not be bringing them any business. Plenty of other pawn shops in the area that treat customers with some respect. Other than that the original guy helping me was polite and helpful, but be weary.

But then one of the vets,(black guy with the curly hair) fully rectified the problem and had me feeling good about this place again..... Over the years sometimes you find there are moments when fast, easy, cash is needed. P&J Pawn has been the source for me. Not only to achieve my financial needs but offers great customer service on a personal level, unlike most other pawn shops, where they treat you like pieces of crap and offer no personality at all. I have been a customer there for some time now and Adam Fuentes III is my go to guy. He treats me fairly and one thing i find most appreciative of them is that i have never once felt like i was being cheated out of money or taken advantage of. So all in all i have to give it to this Ma and Pa pawn shop, they far exceed any other shops on many levels as far as my opinion goes. Kudos to you P&J Pawn, keep up the good work!!!

These guys were so rude to me. I stood at the counter for a few minutes waiting on assistance while they were talking to each other. I think after three minutes, one of them finally acknowledged me! I dont recommend anyone to do business with P&J, because I believe that they are racist.

Horrible exprience. Would not recommend if you were purchasing a gun. Obviously this chain is not big on customer service or understanding their customer base. If you feel like ever wasting money and them taking advantage of peoples literacy skills this is the place for you.

They dont stand behind their policy of calling to let them know you are coming on a certain date. They tried to charge extra to put someonthing back into pawn when I had called and informed them of the date I would be in. Their employee dropped the ball and didnt put a note on the account. However, I showed proof I called etc. To no help because they still turned their back on the customer service part!

I guess I must have gone here on an off day, the previous reviews raving of customer service had my hopes high. I brought with me an 18v lithium ion drill and driver set. I had one battery, and a charger. Came in the retail canvas case.I suggested a quick $25 loan for both tools, as I would be picking them up tomorrow. I was told that was going to be tough as I only had one battery. After some searching on eBay, and getting management clearance, I was reluctantly loaned $25.While waiting for them to write it up, I took a stroll to the power tools section of the store.Now I know pawn shops run on great margins, and I get it can be a lucrative business to be in. With that said, in the tools section I found the first generation version of my drill. It appeared to have no battery, and out of curiosity I looked at the price tag. $69.99. Are you kidding me me? Then below it, the first generation ryobi circular saw which was also marked $69.99. With that said, I can easily draw a conclusion that my newer version of the tools will likely be listed at a similar price to those dinosaurs in the event I fail to pick them up.If the tools are listed at $70 a piece, you could easily put mine on the Shelf for over $120 as a set with BATTERY AND CHARGER. (Again your tools did not seem to offer these). Why try to squeeze me out of five of twenty five dollars at the beginning when you have those kinds of markups? I understand you have all kinds of overhead to work into the equation, but I still think that the squeeze to try to give me 20 was outrageous when I can easily get 40 or 50 for it on pawn elsewhere (like literally down the street).Anyhow, with management approval I was loaned $25. Upon leaving, I decided to go to the industries way of deciding the value of something and searched eBay for the old, first generation ryobi drill you have on the shelf for $70.00. Guess what? I found it available for between five and 19.00. In your shop it is worth 70? Any my virtually new drill (with the driver) is only worth 20 to you for a loan?I did not feel warmly welcomed in this store, I did not feel like family as other reviews said. Sure, the store is nicer than normal as far as fixtures and maybe even cleanliness. Unfortunately I could care less about how clean your store is, or how nice your display cases are. I care about working with a company who can be trusted to give me a fair price, and I dont feel I got that on my loan, and I dont feel like they are available on your floor (see the old ryobi drill).I will pick my tools up tomorrow, and I will go back down the street where they offer a fair value and no lowball games.
