We have a large kitchen countertop which was ordered at Toll Brothers design center and no where it was mentioned in agreement that it will have two pieces with an obvious adjoining line in the center. We have tried to get it changed but has been told by the company-Allied Stone and builder-that it is industry standard and you signed the papers it at the time of final walk and nothing can be done. Now, I have been trying to get couple of small areas of broken edge repair but company is not responding and again I have told to get hold of another company. When we choose this design no one told us that there will be a joint right in the middle of white colored kitchen countertop which is the focal point of the kitchen. Not sure what should I do?
I’ve worked with Addie and Lynn, and had great experiences due to the quality of communication from sales to install and the quality of the product.
The showroom was beautiful inside. My designer helped me pick out the perfect slab for my kitchen remodel. I plan to use Allied again when we start working on the master bath.
Found this company on Yelp and they had decent reviews but I am confused. Trying to get someone to contact me. Tried the Dallas and Houston locations because the house is in the middle. Neither of them have even bothered to respond to me. It shouldnt be this hard.
Simply loving my new kitchen. The countertops are really gorgeous. Thanks for the help in picking them out.
So many choices! I didnt know the difference between one or another and they were patient. We are trying to finish up plans for our outdoor kitchen this winter so we are ready for summer. Cant wait for family get togethers. Socially distanced of course (lol)
I reached out two times today to Allied Stone and didnt get a response. Guess I will take my remodel to a different company that wants my business?
Excellent finish! Extremely recommend them to anyone who wants quality work.
I wish there was a zero rating to give to Allied Stone for the way the company handled my issue. I bought a brand new Calatlantic home in DFW area in 2017 and 3 years later the under mount sink on our granite countertop came loose and we hardly put anything on it. I called our builder who provided me with the information that Allied Stone installed it and they will be able to help with the fix. I didn’t mind if they charged me since our warranty had already expired. I called Allied Stone and they said they didn’t attach the sink. I had to go back to our builder again to double check and they confirmed based on their records that they did the work. I called the company again and they said they weren’t the ones as they don’t have a record of it. Since they didn’t want to admit it I now asked if they could reinstall/secure the sink and they agreed and quoted a price and took all my information. I waited for about 2 weeks and didn’t hear from them. I then decided to call back to check on the status and found out they had no record to come fix it. The lady I spoke to was now able to pull up information and confirmed Allied Stones originally attached the sink for our home. She took all my information again and said they will come and reinstall the sink. She quoted a price again but this time she told me I had to hire a plumber to disconnect the pipes from the sink before they could come out and when they were finished to get the plumber to come back a day later to reconnect the pipes. This didn’t make any sense to me especially for the price they quoted. I had to look for another company that could handle both the plumbing aspect as well as reattaching the sink to the granite countertop. Luckily I was able to find a company that handled all the work and they charged less than what Allied was charging for only securing the sink. I really don’t want to ever deal with this company again since they have an integrity and incompetence issue and I rate them 0 star because they don’t deserve the 1 star
Wonderful Traci Gibson was great!
The team at Allied Stone in Lubbock were wonderful to work with on our sorority facility project! Bobbie Butler was a JOY to have share her product knowledge, assist with specifications, fabrication and certainly at the end of the project when we had a stain to resolve. She, Joe and the Allied Stone family are top notch!
The quality of stone was good and everything looks great. They also have a large selection. However, they damaged my home during install and refused to pay for the damage they caused. And then, through blatant attempts at manipulation, told me that the installer would have to pay for the repair out of their own paycheck. If you plan on using this company 1) make sure you budget extra money to cover the costs of their mistakes because they certainly wont take care of it; and 2) dont work with Katie.I, however, will never use this company again.*****My comment on your response to my original post*****You most certainly did refuse to make it right. What you did do was offer for someone else to pay. When I said I didnt feel it was appropriate taking money from your installers paycheck there was zero offers for Allied Stone to make it right. I told Katie quite clearly how I was interpreting that situation...read my email to her.You can use the words minor damage all you want, but, I had a professional painter come and quote the repair and it was more than $200 to fix. So no, your offer is not enough to cover the cost of the problem simply because you keep saying it is.I would still be happy to accept appropriate compensation from Allied Stone (and not from an employees paycheck) in the actual amount of damage. You have my address...send me a check.
Within a month of moving into our new home our countertops started staining, even from water. Washing our hands or rinsing dishes require immediate wiping off. We contacted our builder and was told the countertops were sealed by Allied. We were given product to seal it ourselves. 12 months later we decided to cover the area around the stove top with foil contact paper in order to keep them from staining even more. These are the nicest countertops we have had, but feel like we cant enjoy them because they stain from the simplest things. One picture is from an area that doesnt get exposed to water. The other is from next to the kitchen sink. The last is from the contact paper we put down just to be able to cook. My wife got tired of me lining it with foil and dry dishrags.
We purchased a very expensive slab of carrara marble for our new home from Allied Stone. Our builder is Our Country Homes and we had no choice but to use this company. It is probably THE worst job I have ever seen (and I have had many homes with exotic granites). They cut the marble to fit and the colors do not match at all, it literally looks like 2 different slabs were used. The cut itself is horrible, it is straight down the middle of the counter-top. Half of the marble is white and the other half is grey. They claim they took a picture of the slab in order to prove that the pieces all came from the same slab, of course they could have used any slab to take their picture. If the pieces are from the same slab, then this is THE worst job in the history of stone installation!! They hide behind the disclaimer that natural stone is just that, and differences and variances are a part of the stone, which of course is true, but when you have 2 pieces that were cut wrong to begin with and then place them side by side and the color of the 2 pieces are so vastly different, you either clearly dont know what youre doing or you are lying. There was obviously no attention given to color matching. If the picture is true and it is a picture of our marble, then whoever cut it like this was a complete idiot and should be fired!!! As I stated earlier they hide behind their disclaimer because they cant and or wont stand behind their products/workmanship. Weve had 3 different granite/marble professional look at it and they all literally laughed at it. They said is looks like it came from 2 different slabs. Maybe it is the same slab, maybe its not. Bottom line, the marble looks absolutely horrible and we are NOT HAPPY customers. I cannot and would not EVER recommend doing business with Allied Stone. This company is one of MANY worthless vendors that Our Country Homes uses. But as we have seen throughout this housebuilding process, we are still amazed at the lack of pride and integrity people have concerning their businesses and their workmanship.
I went by twice last week. I got an email with a promise of pics to review. I still have not gotten them. Beautiful show room and people were friendly, just not good followup.
Installed granite island and countertops in our new built house and they are full of pits upon installation. The crystals are still coming off after2 months. They came 3 times gave different excuses for this to be happening, no solution provided. Buyer BEWARE!
I had a good experience with the receptionist at allied stone but the sales contact Katie at the Dallas location was very rude and hung up before we completed our conversation. Her attitude should be checked as I’m sure the company will not want to loose business as a result of bad customer service.
I have used Allied Stone many times for design projects for my clients. I work with Lisa Price and she and the company have always provided me with excellent service and quality product. They have an extensive choice of stone slabs to choose from. I highly recommend them.
Addie in sales was great. Responsive. Service folks were on time and the installs looks beautiful!!
Allied Stones showroom is GORGEOUS and the staff is extremely friendly and knowledgable. Definitely the right kind of people to work with to make your designs come to life.
I build my house with Grand Home and Allied Stone did all my countertop at the beginning This is the second time I used Allied Stone. I was very pleased with the first time. Just got my dry bar granite backsplash and waterfall installed today. Perfect is the only word I can describe it. The two installers very careful, detail, and professional. Shannen, a design consultant very helpful and responsive help me thru the process to get it done on time before I am heading out of town. I love it a lot .Thank you !
Allied Stone stands behind their work. They really came through for us. Thank you very much for your outstanding customer service.
We went to countless stone showrooms. We found most high end places had the same stone just displayed differently. Our general contractor recommended Allied Stone and Cliff Stahl. Best recommendation he made. I give 100 % of the five star rating to Cliffs attention to detail and customer service. We bought a high end granite to which he gave us a good price compared to others. He saw the job through until the end unlike others we purchased our backsplash from that only wanted to secure the sale. That granite is cumbersome to work with so I am not throwing stones but the install guys did scratch our wine frig. Cliff went to bat for us to get fixed and it was:)
I didnt have a very big project (an outdoor tabletop) and was really excited to look at Allieds showroom after seeing their beyond-unique samples on their website. Husband and I are never interested in the typical materials that everyone else has; and I knew in my gut that Allied Stone was the answer. My next concern was my small table project. Would they turn me away for lack of quantity? Would they poo-poo me as just another old lady who couldnt make up her mind? Would they be so expensive that I would be the one to walk away? Cliff was assigned to be my sales rep, and he was brilliant. He was very knowledgable and even indulged my fantasies with using their gemstone slabs. He asked the right questions of what I envisioned. He listened and gave me all the time I needed. At the end he guided me to a gorgeous black granite with large blue/green/peacock flecks. The entire project from meet-&-greet to install went flawlessly even with a last-minute cutting change. Installation team was on time, professional, respectful & happy. So hubby and I now have one incredible, one-of-a-kind outdoor dining table; and the cost was less than typical stuff we found at a nice outdoor furniture place. Communication and aftercare is excellent. I will definitely be back when we need something else. Certainly I will recommend them.
There are so many places you can get granite counter tops..BUT, Allied Stone was - by FAR - the best choice! Lynn DeLeon was incredibly responsive and made great suggestions on granite to bring our kitchen project together. When the templater came out, he made additional suggestions (cut corners) that made it pop even more. The install team knew we were under a time crunch, so they came out and started at 7am! Just awesome..
3 stars for the building appearance
It was a great experience I worked with Lisa as the Sales Consultant, she assisted in picking a great stone option. I would use Allied Stone again.
A lot of amazing natural and engineered stones to choose from, granite, marble, onyx, quartz, you name it, Allied have it!
Very helpful and professional staff, incredible quality. A+
Beautiful granite slabs.
