Drove over an hour just for the Dallas headquarters location to be closed and I didn’t know because their online hours are not updated. Covid hours are 7-4:30 Mon -Fri but shows they are open until 6 on Friday. Please update your website. I also ordered a bed frame and dresser and both were broken when delivered and I don’t even know how to return it seeing as both are really heavy and I can’t carry them to my car. I’m so upset and frustrated at this point

Literally drive two and a half hours! (because it was the closest one to me) And they wouldn’t let a four year old kid in. Really wasted my time. Should’ve had said something online when I looked stating kids couldn’t come.

I worked here for 4 years and I loved it and all the people I worked with. I ended up moving out of state and quit. I miss it and the people. My husband was in the Army and I loved going on post to the PX, especially when over seas. The employees at HQ work diligently to keep the merchandise stocked and up to date at all the stores.

Pointless to buy online and pick it up there. It took forever to get in the building. Once inside I was told that my order really wasn’t paid for and that I would have to pay to get it. Since I used a gift card to pay for half of it, I have to call some 800 number get them to refund the gift card and then reorder. So what the hell was I told that my order was ready for then?! I went all the way there for nothing. I will NEVER choose to pick up from there again.

To whom it may concern,After my order being originally placed on June 8th, delayed 3 different times, then an agreement being made with a Customer Care Escalation Team Manager for a $100 credit two days ago, I have now received a cancellation order update today, indicating that Ive waited two months only to have my expectations and trust in AAFES customer service dismantled. From our past conversations in emails, I was under the impression that my frustration and confusion with the shipment of my product was expressed accurately. If I knew I was going to be delayed several times, then encouraged to wait longer for a credit, only to receive a cancellation order with no further explanation, I would have absolutely chosen another direction with my time and money. Ive been a long standing customer of AAFES for almost 18 years, and I do not appreciate the amount of time wasted that Ive spent trusting in AAFES to rectify the shipping issue over a period of two months.I NEED SOMEONE HIGHER THAN THE CUSTOMER CARE ESCALATION TEAM MANAGER TO CALL ME REGARDING THIS SITUATION ASAP.All great businesses hold in high regard customer satisfaction & understand the importance of repeat customers. I feel like after today’s event, I have a bad perception of the AAFES brand and would like assistance from a regional supervisor to help.-Will

The Exchange, or BX or PX as it is better known by the mostly military members that use it, is a massive global monopoly that controls most stores, commerce and dining options on U.S. Air Force and Army installations. Sadly, its prices are generally higher than most U.S. shopping options, particularly Walmart and Amazon. This is particularly true of fast food offerings overseas, where prices are significantly higher than the U.S., and U.S. coupons and app discounts are not accepted. Many Exchange items are much cheaper at on-base commissaries (grocery stores). Their online product offerings are similarly disappointing. The Exchange does offer to price match, but only items that are regularly priced, and the price match is limited to one item per customer per day. The best deals are found during the holidays in November and December, when there are frequent discount programs, promotions and a few great deals, like $199 laptop computers on Black Friday. Look for clearance and weekly sale items, which can be a good deal since stores do not charge state sales taxes. Be aware that its weekly flyers and other booklets illustrate many items that are NOT on sale. Also, its Military Star credit card is not really competitive with others. This credit card limits online payments to once a week with a maximum payment of $2500, unless the entire balance is paid. This can result in significant interest payments! The USAA credit card has better incentives, with 5% cash back on gasoline and 2% back on grocery shopping. Military Star snail mails gift cards in $20 increments which can only be used at the Exchange. Ive waited over a month for my gift cards, and have no idea if they have been lost or stolen. USAA and Pentagon Credit Union simply refunds earnings back to credit card users.

The AAFES/Exchange store at this location is inside a security fence and another check point and is intended primarily for employees. It is a small convenience store with snacks, drinks, and a few other things - most definitely not a surplus store. There is also a Starbucks, Subway, Taco Bell, and Burger King. Other Exchange stores are full fledged department stores and are located on military installations.

Deceptive business practices. Definitely dont support our troops. They advertised $75 Coach watches on their site on clearance. I bought one online and paid for it. A week later they emailed me and said they couldnt send it. I called and they said they were sold out and wouldnt get any more in stock. I told them they actually still had these watches on their site but now they were shown at $150 each. They said yes, that I was welcome to buy one but Id have to pay them another $75 extra. Isnt bait and switch illegal? Spoke with a manager and the most intelligent thing he had to say was thats just how it is.

AAFES is in business to make items available to military members worldwide. If you can find a cheaper price at your local Walmart then go there. They cant always have rock bottom prices on everything because they have to ship items to garden spots like Afghanistan and other FOBs. When did Walmart ever do that? Also, unless a military base is completely closed, the AAFES location stays open even if operating at a loss in order to provide service to the people they serve. Walmart and other providers will just close the store and move on. Think before you bash.
