If I could give them 0 stars I would... Went in to get an alignment. When j called they said if I could get there by 430 they could get me in almost immediately. I got there on time and still ended up eating almost 3 hours. Went to ask what was going on cause it shouldnt take that long and they said they had forgotten about me. Told me they only had one guy there who could do my alignment and he was working on another vehicle ( that had gotten there after me) that Itd be another hour or more. Absolutely ridiculous. If you go there make sure they dont forget your vehicle is out there. Got my keys back and left.

My car broke down in Dallas, TX. Took it to pep boys because I believe they’ll take good care of me. They did the diagnosis on my vehicle and it came back as a Dead battery and coolant leak. 30 minutes later I received a phone call stating that both of my fuel pumps and water pump was also out. The total was $3400 to get it fixed.I literally towed my car home, placed a new battery and 1 fuel pump in. My car works like a charm. The cost for it was $367. I’m very disappointed in pep boys snd I promise this’ll be the last time I ever do business with them. Thanks for nothing.
I am honestly surprised with some of the bad reviews. When it comes to price, every other competing place that I have called for a quote ends up being more expensive. I’ve been going to this Pep Boys location for about a year, and they have always been very honest about what they can and cannot do, and what they recommend (particularly in regards to what car parts other places recommend being replaced that doesn’t necessarily need to be). I do understand some of the complaints about the wait times, but this location is very busy, I suspect because of the high-quality work they do. Overall, would not rate anything less than five stars.
I came to this place based on a recommendation. I was severely disappointed. I was coming in for a simple synthetic oil change, and I made an appointment for noon. They didn’t START working on my car until 1:15. Then, they charged me $112 for a 6.4 quart synthetic oil change. That is UNHEARD of, and there is absolutely no reason they should be able to charge that much for any type of oil change, whether it’s conventional, high mileage, or synthetic. I understand that a typical oil change covers 5 quarts, but charging as much extra as they did is unacceptable. Do not patronize this place, they will rip you off and do it in a slow and painful fashion, making you wait and watch as their technicians sit on their phones. If they’re on break, fine, but then don’t say that you have an appointment open at noon if nobody is available to work on my car for over an hour. I will not be returning.
Scott at the Forest Lane location was awesome! Although I just booked an oil change for high milage car, I was concerned about other issues. He had maintance check everything out, and Scott advised (not pushy) what I needed to add. Sent me text so I could follow along as they service my vehicle. Thank you Scott! I will be back.

It says store hours are 8AM to 8PM. The store is locked. A guy in the service are says the store closes at 6PM. Are you kidding me. They just lost a customer.

Worst mechanic job ever don on my car.brought car for alignment and the said $120 for year warranty for alignment job,and as soon as I start driving the car was Service stability light on my dash turn on and they mess up a lot of thing so if you don’t like your car and wants spend lots of money toke your car too them. Nice to be able to walk into an auto parts store and it still has some of the afterthought trinkets you need to make a new vehicle really work for you. I did have to wait at the checkout counter for someone to come from the back door several minutes though.

So I went to this place on Black Friday to talk to one of the agents about the tire promo, that they were giving and that you could get two free tires if you paid for two tires. Online it says nothing about that you have to have an installation but these people wanted me to install the tires after buying them and that it was mandatory that was my first problem because one of the agents told me that I could buy the tires and take them and the other one told me that I needed to install it to be able to get them at the promotion price. These tires were literally 40 bucks after the promo from 80 bucks and if I got them, then I was going to get two free tires(total of 4).The issue that I was trying to address is why was there almost 70 dollars that was unaccounted for between the 80 bucks I was going to pay for two tires and the final price which was 157.98. No agent or even the computer system could explain why there was almost a $70 difference.... that didnt even include the installation price no because with the installation it would have been $270 which is ridiculous because I only came in to pay for two tires so that I can come out with four because that is what the deal was offering. Pep Boys trying to be slick, trying to put in their 70 more dollars and not explain to me from what services is that coming from is it because of tires going to have gold is that it? I suggest that people be always on their feet asking questions because otherwise you might be paying for more than what you came in for!

5:52 on a Monday. We called ahead and made an appointment for an oil change. There is ONE person working in service and tires. Why on earth should I need to wait for people to decide to buy tires when waiting for an oil change? I asked the tech about this and he said that despite closing at 7pm most staff go home at 5. Essentially your penalizing people who get off work at 5 and stealing time they could have w their family to wait in your stupid line so you can save a whole $30 a day per staff. Not best practice.
Took my car there for TPMS light. I was told 2 of the sensors need to be replaced for $240 and it will take 30-45 to get it done. After 1 hr I noticed that the car is still parked outside. I got my keys back and took the car to the Discount Tires right next door. The told me that only 1 of the sensors is bad and they replaced it right away for $75.BIG DIFFERENCE!
I came in to get an oil change for the first time with low expectations. Michael helped me and was very kind. He listened to everything before making a recommendation. The service was fast. The pricing was better than my usual place. This kind of customer service is what creates lifetime customers. Thank you so much Michael!

I had all types of problems with this pepboys. I ordered off the internet. They tried to charge me $20 dollars more instore had to finish order on internet to get the price. Then they had the wrong part. As I was walking out they figured out it was just in a different box.
Great place to buy supplies for your car. The place is almost always well stocked and has plenty of variety. Staff is always friendly and available to help. The only downside is that their credit card machine is very slow and needs to be replaced.

Been going to this Pep Boys for about 5 months now. Service manager and her team are always on it. With them continuously being busy the team still manages to get it done.My visit stared with everything going wrong with my car. The service desk and mechanics are great about really explaining what happened and testing it to confirm the right solution.Going on 6 to 7 visits now I have had to have had a lot to replace but also have over worried about parts. The team has been great and understanding about cost and giving my best options also has let me know when I did not need to purchase something and not forcing me a sale.
Titus was VERY helpful. He came out to my car and measured for the part I need. He seems knowledgeable. I appreciate y’all for taking the extra time with me to help me make my car feel like new again.

I have a 1984 Mercedes 380 SL. I needed a hard to find part and Titus was a big help finding it. When I had trouble installing it (should have been a very simple and quick job I could do right there,) Titus came out and was able to figure out why it didn’t fit and figured out a solution right away. He turned what would have been an expensive service call with a mechanic into a $6 instant solution. Titus provides great customer service which is hard to find now a days. This is the 2nd great experience I’ve had with this Pep Boys and my classic Mercedes, having it serviced at this location previously.
This is the absolute best place to get screwed out of services and money. This staff is based off of pure laziness. Time after Time, car after car. Trust me when I say this. Do not waste your own time!

When I walked into the store, Titus was standing right there and asked me if I needed help finding anything. Yes! I told him my issue and Titus was so kind to offer to go out to my car to check out my weatherstripping to see exactly what the issue was with it coming off the door. He hooked me up with adhesive to fix it. I then asked for any Hello Kitty items and they had one sticker. By the time I made my way to the register he had two Hello Kitty keychains waiting there for me! I know these are small items but his customer service was outstanding and he deserves a raise! He’s was very friendly and I appreciated his expertise. 🙂

I am only leaving a one star because that is the lowest I can rate this place. I was in the store on 10-31-19 & in a nutshell had the worst customer experience I have ever experienced. A employee finally wrote down my complaints & told me he would pass them on to his manager and I should be receiving a follow up phone call which I havent received yet as of 11-1-19 @ 2:00 p.m.In my personal opinion everyone in the store needs to be fired & get a complete new crew in it.

I made an appointment for today for 11:00 am. I went in and two employees walked to the computer in the service and tire department and didnt even acknowledge I was standing there. I had to ask twice to get a concurrent response in regards to the warranty on my brake pads and rotors. I scheduled an appointment online for 11am and was told that it would actually be between 1-1:30 when the vehicle could be seen. The employee said that you have to call before you come in because most times they are busy. It is now 5 minutes before 2 and no one has said it will be a longer wait or anything. I find it very inconvenient that if you schedule an appointment online you still have to experience a wait. What is the purpose of setting an appointment? Pep boys was once a place that I held to high standards. I thought the company s mission was to take care of the people and there vehicle. That seems to have since then changed. Today Pep boys demonstrated to me that exact definition of its name. Pep Boys because adults wouldnt conduct business in such a disregarded notion.
Every experience I’ve had so far with them has been great! Christian has helped me on every visit, and Austin was also extremely helpful on my last visit. I look forward to continued service here! Seems like a well put together team!
I was asked 3 times if I needed help. Titus was the first and he was knowledgeable, fast and accurate. He told me everything I needed to know to change a spark plug in a pressure washer. I highly recommend this place.
Went there in a real rush, frantic because my tire started leaking air at a dangerously fast pace while in the middle of my shift. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes! Service was great. Do you have money to burn? Then this is the place for you! Quoted me $650 to replace all rotors and pads…except the rotors were fine. I went elsewhere and had the rotors turned and the brake pads replaced. The total cost was $133. So, if you enjoy getting ripped off, PepBoys is your best bet.
Staff went above and beyond to help me solve my issue (on more than one occasion). Titus in particular was terrific. I’ll be back!

Was in dire need of a car battery and the manager not only helped me locate the right one but also helped me in applying the same online discount that I was having difficulties using bc would not recognize the correct location. My car completely died and the guys all helped me push my car to the garage and quickly changed me new battery. Tremendously grateful for all their help. Definitely deserve a 10 rating!
Went to another mechanic who quoted me 600 dollars saying I need my struts fixed. Went into this Pep Boys and they told me all that was needed was an allignment and two new front tires. I was seen fast and my car is driving great. I will only go to this location for service in the future.
Walked in to ask a simple question on oil for my truck. Boy at the service desk was busy on his phone. I waited patiently. He looked up without a word and I asked him politely about oil. I dunno was his answer. Service man comes out I ask him. I dunno number 2. I walked out. Went to oreillys auto parts next door. They charged me over $120 to replace one of my headlight bulbs, when I supplied the bulb. Then, they added another fee. It literally took only 20 minutes and i spent over $140. It was ridiculous.
Fantastic service! Everyone is so friendly and very helpful. We can in with a flat tire and were in a bit of a rush. Jimmy came and took care of our problem. We were in and out in less than 15 minutes. Coffee and football in the lobby while we waited lol highly recommended! Thanks Jimmy and the rest of the staff!

Great place for a diagnostic. They were able to explain to me in a way that I understood as to why my check engine light was on. Needless to say, I was able to get my car repaired the same day without a worry. Ignacio was friendly and professional with the entire experience. Thank you service department.
They are really nice guys, and they do a fine job. Time is important to me and no matter what they will take at least an hour or two to get anything done, even just a oil change. They will also tell you to come right in and that your first in line but youll have three or four other cars before you when you arrive.
Had an inspection done this morning, was told it would take about 30 minutes. It actually took 15 minutes. I was the first one there at the time so I am sure that was why it was so quick. Great service and friendly employees. They have wonky business thats for sure.

Avoid this place they will Ruin your car this mechanics should not be flipping burgersI have a 2014 Toyota Camry, last week I had a little bit of a noise coming from the front wheel The car was driving perfect I drive over 200 miles a day.I was going to go to the dealer but I stopped at Pep Boys talk to a guy by the name of Scott, told me it would be $20 to check the car I said OK i was told that my right front bearing is bad since I have 150,000 miles I told him to go ahead and replace right and left bearings. The price was $1000 which is not cheap dealer would do for the same price with better parts and much better labor. Picked up the car in the afternoon on my way to pick up my kid from school my steering wheel is not straight the car was totally out of alignment (this car had perfect alignment when I brought it in ) and Alignment was done to the car. when I press the break the whole front end of the car was shaking seriously like the whole thing is going To fall apart and pull real hard to the right. Call Scott and ask him how come nobody has test drive the car after the repair I was furious. Scott said don’t worry just bring it back tomorrow will take care of it. Next day I stop by talk to another service advisor The mechanic that did the work was not in they had another mechanic test drive the car now I was told that my rear brake is not good I told him this car came in there in PERFECT condition with a little bit of noise and I don’t believe it’s my rear brakes because the front end of the car is what shaking so bad after this know it all would not listen I ask him to put my car down and give it to me and I went to my Mercedes-Benz mechanic which is my other car he checked the car and told me that the front pads are sticking. I said to him I told the guy at Pep Boys that my problem seems to be at the front end and not the rear brake and he would not listen. my mechanic said “that’s what you get for going to Pep Boys” paid $1000 and got my car totally ruined do yourself a favor and stay away these mechanics and Advisers don’t know what the hell they doingP.s. call Pep Boys I was giving a case # 642514 and told somebody will call in 24 hour nobody has ever called
I came here last week for an oil change, service was quick I was in and out. The manager is nice and helpful. The other employees working that day were also helpful assisting other customers.
Ordered 2 tires on line. Only had 1 in stock at my store, was told the second would arrive on Saturday. I called on Saturday to confirm the tires where there. Was told that they were so I went to pick them up only to find out that only one tire was there. The other is coming from Bedford and that could take 2 to 3 days. From Bedford to Dallas, ridiculous. Poor customer service.
Went in for an oil leak . Cost me about 2,000 . Noticed noise while driving car 2 days later. Car seized up with slight over heating. Had the car towed to nearest shop . They stated that whoever worked on the engine forgot to put back the clamps back on the coolant hoses . Long story short im out 2,000 and my car is done. Thanks Pep boys. Run from this shop.
I only give them a 3-star rating because they tell you to drive up to this one spot but nobody ever came out to check to see what I needed I had to go park my car and then go inside to get a front wheel alignment and it took about an hour and a half they did give me a $10 coupon or $10 off of something that I bought inside the store overall the experience was okay because I met a really nice lady there
Store manager Thierry has no idea what customer service is and will charge you another core charge instead of refunding you the original core charge when returning core item. Took him 30 mins to fix this and never apologized.

Dont let Boys do a Mans job. All in all i will never be back. Service was a joke and the lack of knowledge by the staff had no help when they tried to up sell me on something that they then could not explain why i would need it. When i picked my car up it was a mess. From my glove box having everything thrown out on the floor, to my trunk looking like my car rolled over. I was able to take my business else where and get the repairs in know i needed for half the time and price. With more reassurance then pepboys could have provided.
Took a car in for repairs and they charged over $200 to just look at it and estimated over $5000 in repairs. Sent the list to a friend who works on cars and his exact words were Theyre pretty much trying to anally rape you.Wanted to charge over $300 for spark plugs that cost $7 each and are easy to fix. Take your business elsewhere.

Took my car in for an oil change and when I left the guy said I needed to get the rear shocks replaced. Told me that if I didnt do it soon I was running the risk of blowing a tire and causing serious damage to my car. He made it sound incredibly urgent.I then took the car to Discount Tire and Dennis Road Automotive and they both confirmed that the shocks were perfectly fine.Coincidentally, Pep Boys had a special going on for shock replacements. I kind of wonder if someone was trying to meet their quota.
Excited to see the drive up service line. Drove up sat for a while. At least 2 mechanic saw me. No one acknowledged me and no one helped me. I simply wanted to drop off a spare tire in the back of my truck. Sorry you missed the opportunity.

Poor customer service!!!!! High prices.First time I went great service. My car was indicating that the heat was going up. The did the test and fixed the problem.Went again a couple of weeks after for oil change . told them the was having temperature indicator was lighting up again.Thought they have cheked it!Next day same problem!!PLUS the engine is accelerated all the time! I did not have this problem before!In other words... It came out of the mechanic worst that it went in!Went immediately back and interesting they do not have my whole client history in the system.The employee or manager was treating me like I was making up the information.Totally rude and had an arrogant behavior.Like is IT would never fail.I would not recommend this place for overprice and lack of customer service.

One of the worst auto service experiences I have ever had to go through. Where do I even begin?Saturday afternoon I noticed a sidewall bubble on one of my tires so I made an appointment for 2 PM the next day to get my tire replaced. I get there Sunday and decide to also get the wheel alignment done on top of the tire replacement. The service employee informs me that they are running about an hour and a half behind but they will get it done that day before they close at 6 PM which is fine with me. I leave to get some errands done and four hours later no call. I try calling them multiple times to get an update on my car and no one picks up. I think ok maybe they just forgot to give me a call after they finished so I head there and get there around 6:10 PM. To my disbelief my car has not even been moved from the parking lot from when I dropped it off. The doors are locked and I have to have one of the customers waiting in the lounge area to let me in. The employee I talked to earlier is not there and Im assisted by a different employee. I find out that my car hasnt even been touched yet. Im speechless at the thought that on top of my car not even being worked on, if I hadnt come by my car wouldve been left at the parking lot overnight (not even in their garage). They tell me to wait 30 mins and theyll get it done. At this point I have no choice because I have work the next day and I would be at risk of a blowout if I dont get it replaced right awayThe cherry on top? After they replace the tire and Im driving I realize the new tire is almost flat so I stop by a QT to fill it and Im pretty sure they didnt even do the wheel alignment because my car still veers to the rightThe only reason I didnt give a 1 star is because the gentleman at the counter was willing to stay late and get my tire done and gave me a generous discountDont ever come here folks. Go to the discount tire next door or costco

I went in a few days ago after my car would need a jump to get going. I told Christian what the roadside assistance tech had said that morning about it being my alternator. After a few questions, Christian bet me that it wasnt the alternator and theyd take a look. They ran a battery/charging test and it came back fine. After asking some more questions, they came to the conclusion that it was the starter, which would be a $650, 3 hour ordeal. However, the installing technician took a look at it to see if it was a job that could be done today and noticed that the terminals were dirty and that they would try to clean those before putting in a new starter. Well, the cleaning worked and what was initially a $650 job was only $11.01. They even worked with OReillys on the warranty for my fairly new battery, so I didnt have to pay for a replacement. Im glad they didnt just stick to the high dollar repair to make a buck. These guys were friendly, and I definitely plan to go back if I have any further car issues.
