I would highly recommend Martin & Monica to anyone looking for restoration work! We took in my great grandmothers trunk from the 1880s to have restored so our children could enjoy it in the future. I was blown away by how good they are! I was so excited to see it when they were done, and they delivered a masterpiece for us. Wonderful people to deal with and amazing at what they do. Thank you for restoring a great piece of our history!

Martin & Monica (owners) took a crumbling, old, antique, plaster statue... that should have possibly been thrown in the dumpster... and completely revived it. It looks perfect as if it had just been made! I never imagined how incredible it would be when they finished it up. I would recommend them for any restoration project imaginable. Thank you!

ARM did an amazing job restoring the Antique Syrian Lamp I brought to them. Despite the high level of detail required, and the extensive damage to the lamp, they made it look and function like new. They were straight forward with me about price, and I was not surprised when the final bill came in. I highly recommend using them for the restoration of your antiques.

Martin and Monica were prompt in answering questions, upfront about costs, and professional in every way. They are also genuinely lovely people. They understood my sentimental attachment to the furniture my great-grandfather built. Additionally when my husband and I came to pick up the gorgeously repaired cabinets, our truck battery decided to die in their parking lot. Martin helped my husband remove the battery, drove him to the battery store and helped him install it again. Extremely good-hearted folks! Very thankful to them.

We couldnt be happier with the painting that Martin and Monica cleaned for us. The painting has been in the family since the early 50s and has been in homes that had a lot of cigarette smoke. It is a painting that has much sentimental value. It had to be cleaned 4 times to get all of the nicotine off. We were so pleased with how it turned out!!! They were very friendly and took their time explaining what was done to it.

Martin and Monica at Antique Restoration Masters were outstanding! After shopping my project to a few other restoration specialists, I contacted ARM by email and received an almost immediate response for a free appraisal appointment. My project was to secure a delicate and damaged paperboard collectible from the 1890s.On site, both Martin and Monica were very welcoming. While others declined this project, Martin explained to me what he would and would not be able to do. A relatively small project compared to the furniture projects described by many others here, but it would be a challenge. He agreed to take it on.When I arrived to pick it up, I was blown away by how great it looked. He went far beyond what we had planned, yet he kept the look exactly as I desired and as appropriate for this type of piece. I am sure they spent significantly more time than planned yet honored their cost estimate.I am an extremely satisfied customer and I highly recommend Antique Restoration Masters!

Martin did an amazing job repairing a broken leg on an antique French chair that was damaged during shipment. For a very reasonable price, he also cleaned, touched up, and protected the wood on the pair of chairs. He also did a fantastic job repairing an antique plaster French lamp. This man is talented! He and his wife Monica are gems and were a pleasure to meet. I highly recommend them if you need something special repaired! Im very happy I found them!

We have an Asian trunk that had been damaged and we had no idea of who to contact for help. We saw Monica & Martins website, called them, took the trunk to them and after talking with them and seeing their work decided there was no question they were more than capable to do the repairs. When the trunk was finished it was perfect. Saying they were more than capable does not even describe their talents. They are wonderful caring people who take great pride in their work, as they should! We are so grateful to them for the care they took in the repair and for their kindness.

I used Antique Restoration Masters to repair and restore a child’s chair that has been in my wife’s family since the early 1900s. Martin and Monica took extraordinary care and put amazing detailed work into fixing the chair. They were able to strip years worth of paint and wear and make it look like new. They also went above and beyond to get the work done by a specific date. I highly recommend visiting Martin and Monica for any restoration work you are considering.

Im so pleased I found this business! I had an antique damaged when I moved to Texas several months ago and chose Antique Restoration Masters solely based on the website and reviews. Monica was so prompt with follow up and was a pleasure to work with - she even had a recommendation of a great mover to come and pick up my sideboard from my home and deliver it to them for repair. The same mover brought back my sideboard last week (great mover recommendation - very professional) and I was so pleased with the repairs! Martin does beautiful work. I definitely recommend this team - so pleased!

I inherited a treasured dining room table with 4 leaves and 10 chairs that had been in the family since the late 1800s. None of the pieces had ever been restored and were all in bad shape. Martin went above and beyond in restoring these pieces. Not only does everything look museum quality, he also took the time to rework all the table leaves and the internal workings of the table. This table and chairs has been enjoyed by 5 generations and now will be enjoyed by future generations. Magnificent work!

Antique Restoration Masters did a truly amazing job! A friend of mine was looking to have a beloved childhood toy restored. During a Google search, I came across this place. After reviewing pictures from their website and forwarding my findings to him, he decided to entrust them with the task of bringing his cherished toy back to life. They communicated with him every step of the way, informing him when something additional had to be done or purchased. The initial time frame was supposed to be about five weeks but ended up being closer to eight due to discontinued parts. You can tell that Martin takes pride in his job and loves what he does as he didn’t rush the restoration process. He took his time and the quality of his work speaks for itself. Come to find out, he actually had to fabricate several of the discontinued parts himself. As a surprise to my friend for his birthday, I asked Monica to take pictures of the process so that I could create a book chronicling the restoration. She gladly agreed and went above and beyond my request by taking more than enough pictures. She even met me off site with the pictures to make sure that he and I didn’t run into each other and ruin the surprise. The restoration was amazing, the pictures were outstanding and the book was a hit. Thank you Antique Restoration Masters for doing a truly awesome job all around! For those of you who are skeptical, as I sometimes am, I wasn’t paid to write this review. I’m simply just a satisfied customer who believes it’s just as important to review a POSITIVE experience as we would a negative one.

Martin and Monica helped restore my great-uncles dress sword from when he was in the Corps of Cadets at Texas A&M University, class of 32. It had literally been sitting in a garage for decades, so the amount of corrosion, rust/oxidation and loss of silver plating was extensive. There was so much rust on the etching on the sword that I was afraid they were going to have to sand it all off and lose some of the true original integrity. Not only was this detail preserved on the blade but the sheath and handle were completely refinished as well. The transformation was truly amazing and I have passed down this family heirloom to my daughter so that she can carry on this tradition as Second Platoon Leader with Parsons Mounted Cavalry, Class of 2019. Martin and Monica were able to quickly restore and return the sword/sheath within just a couple of weeks and they handled all of the details in a completely professional manner. Were so appreciative of their skills and talents. Completely top notch!

If you are looking for high quality professional service, this is the place to do it! Antique restoration masters restored so many valuable pieces for me. They understand how pieces should look when finished. They dont use short cuts and often times go beyond what is required of them. Everything always looks correct. In many cases it brings more value to the items, which is important to me as a collector. They were also able to repair/restore a few pieces that I believed were too far gone to save. If you want to entrust your antiques into the hands of professionals, give them a call! The owner (who is a European master) works on the furniture himself to make sure the quality is top notch!

My husband inherited his parents furniture when his sister passed away and the daughters did not want the 1930s furniture--dining room table with 5 chairs, 2 chests of drawers, carved credenza, 2 upholstered chairs, a large mirror and a piano bench! ALL of the furniture was in horrible condition--the dining chairs were in pieces, as was the mirror frame--the tops of the chests were peeling and chipped--and the beautiful carved legs on the dining table had been used as cat scratching posts by six cats! A dealer in an antique store in San Francisco recommended Martin and his company through his Dallas connections. My husband and I could not believe the change in the furniture--all he could say was WOW--neither of us truly expected the beauty and function to be completely restored--beyond our wildest expectations! We unreservedly recommend Martin as a Master in his work--he was professional, thorough and conscientious.

The expertise and talent is amazing. Simply amazing. Martin has been a savior in many ways for many pieces over the last two years. We first met him when restoring our home a worker knocked off an antique shield. Martin repaired it. Without even being able to see the repair he restored it and made it look even better. He handcrafted pieces that were broken or lost from a very ornate piece. I have trusted him with a 200 year old oil painting that a Dallas antique dealer said she restored but in turn ruined from her peoples lack of talent and knowledge. Martin took this oil painting, carefully reversed what was incorrectly done and restretched it. This painting now looks amazing and has so much depth and detail. I dont know what we would have done without home and I so highly recommend!!!!!

I had the pleasure of visiting Antique Restoration Masters for the first time today. Our family has a ceramic Christmas tree with tiny lights, and the most important one (the tree topper) was out. Replacing the bulb did nothing, as did calls to electricians and even the manufacturer, who had quit production more than ten years ago. Both owners, husband and wife, were there, and both are wonderful, friendly people. Within minutes, the tree topper light was working - for the first time in years. A small job? Certainly, but important to our family and done right when nobody else wanted to take it on. We will not hesitate to bring our restoration to Antique Restoration Masters again - we look forward to the chance to stop in. Absolutely highest recommendation!

I brought in my beloved Federal eagle mirror which had been damaged in our recent move. Martin was so thorough and interested in my mirror and helping to bring it back to its original condition that I thought it was going to cost a fortune. He quoted me a price considerably less than I anticipated. When I returned to pick it up he explained all the intricate repairs he made - including replacing all the little gold balls on the front. He did this because he saw they were all about to crack. I offered to pay more than his quote but he insisted on not accepting more money. So he essentially restored and repaired my mirror to a much better state than it was originally. He and his wife Monica are so cheerful and friendly on top of their dedication and experience. I called Antique Restoration Masters on the recommendation of a friend. My antique chest arrived in Dallas from North Carolina severely damaged by the moving company. It had been wrapped in plastic and left in the truck in the heat of the summer in Texas. When unloaded it was left in the rain, so it suffered from heat and moisture exposure which resulted in the cracking and lifting of the inlay to the point that I was afraid it could not be repaired. After several months of tedious, sometimes heartbreaking work by Restoration Masters, this exquisite chest has been returned to me in the best condition possible. It is absolutely gorgeous and I feel as if a lost child has been returned to the family.

Let me write the name Martin with high praise -- and let me add the equally praiseworthy name Monica for the woman -- Martins wife -- who manages the couples thriving antique restoration business off Plano Road in Dallas . . . one short block north of I-635 (LBJ Freeway). Martin Norkowski is a true master, an artisan of the highest skill. He has mastered, yes, mastered several projects for me, from refurbishing a Seeburg tabletop jukebox selector (remember those from your favorite cafe back in the day?) to a six-foot sheet-iron sign that heralds my familys 105-year old home interior business. Martin spruced up that sign and re-wired all the internal circuitry so it will light up again. Martin and Monica have my greatest respect and appreciation. Martin is am amazing artist of restoration! I just purchased an Italian brass and murano-glass pendant lighting fixture. It was made in 1950 to look like an old gas light that had been converted to electricity. I searched for someone to just seal the brass so it would not need polishing. (In the past a Dallas company polished and sealed an old brass mailbox for me. The work was ok - just ok.) I wanted someone I could completely trust with this nice fixture. I found great reviews of Antique Restoration Masters work and liked the look of their website. When I took the piece to Martin and Monica, he commented on the brightness of the brass. He asked if I would like it to be antiqued to give the look of the period it was mimicking. The bright new look of the brass had bothered me but I didnt think anything could be done because of the attached glass pieces. His wife, Monica called me when the project was completed. It looks AMAZING!! The piece is beautiful and now totally in keeping with the period it is made to mimic. I couldnt believe he had so expertly duplicated the patina of age and managed to seal it too! His work is just outstanding and his prices are reasonable too.
