Small specialty store for birds. The birds look healthy, the cages are clean, and the prices are reasonable. The English budgies are adorable tho their wings are clipped since their area is open top. They do proper nail and break trims and boarding as well. Lots of perches, toys and other cage accessories at a reasonable price. Parking in the plaza is kinda small.

This is where we bought our baby red headed Amazon 6 years ago and the only place we go for boarding. They have wonderful staff who are caring and trust-worthy. Our parrot is always well-taken care of when he goes there. We love Exotic Birds by Fran!

This place was ok. Definitely not one of the best bird places I’ve been to. I might also be slightly biased because it was really crowded and we couldn’t ask some questions that we wanted to. Regardless, the staff seemed not very knowledgeable beyond the basics and the prices / names of birds / handfed or not were not clearly labelled. The decor and bird toys were nice.

I recently got a triton cockatoo, Fran was super helpful and answered all my concerns and questions since I’m new to this .She gives good advice!! I bought my bird food and a perch from her shop ! he loved all the food I got and loves his perch !I will be taking my baby here for his grooming when the time is needed. I always get my parrot groomed here. The staff are pros and do it right in front of you so you can see exactly whats happening. Theyre super friendly and give great advice on how to care for your pet. Ive never had a bad experience at Frans. Highly recommend for any and all bird keepers ♡

Not very great experience at all. The workers who were their never said hello to us. And one worker kept trying to tell us their birds were not the cheapest in town at all. That ALL their birds were $100 dollars! And that they trained them and hand fed them. He also suggested to go to petco or petsmart instead for a bird! Like why if im in your store would you suggest for me to go to a competitor store instead of shopping in yours!? No customer service at all. Left with a sour taste from this place NEVER coming back. RUDE RUDE RUDE IMPOLITE

Clean place, birds cages and food is well kept. Customer service was informative and we got to hold a few pretty birds. They say the birds are hand fed once they leave the mother so they are okay around humans. We will be back.

This store is my far the most wonderful store to purchase your birds of choice in Orange County. The store is clean and all of Frans assistants are knowledgeable for questions you may have. She has food and supplies, cages for your birds. Fran herself is a most wonderful super knowledgeable person. Whenever, I bring in my bird he says hello to all the birds out and Fran gets a big kick out of Cutie pie too, while being groomed.

When I came here on a Saturday to get acockatiel. It so friendly and playful. I can tell they take good care of there birds and lovethem. The store manager with her employees were very helpful and kind. Not like the Magnolia Bird Farm. They want you to play with the bird before you buy it. My friend bought the same cockatiel I did but for a cheaper price at Magnolia Bird Farm but it was very aggressive. Once you put your finger in the cage it would want yo bite you. -This is from Magnolia Bird Farm BTW! I wouldn’t mind paying extra for a bird that is hand tamed and taken with care at Fran’s. I would highly recommend this location for anyone who is looking to buy a bird! Also this place has a wide selection of toys, food, and birds. This is the best bird store in Orange County BY FAR!

I love this place and wonderful staff including of course Fran the owner I have an Umbrella Cockatoo Named Angel and I get all my food from them and also difficult grooming when he wont let me do so. I once had an incident in which Angel now 18 years Old August 18th had an issue a few years ago in which he being in which he challenges things to chew and he unfortunately went against some metal in which cut his tongue I was so distraught being I did not have the means to stop the bleeding. I immediately took him to a local pet hospital and the were to afraid to approach his beak and tongue and said if he bit them there is nothing left to fix on the wound they may get from his bite. They were to scared to help me. I then thought to go see Fran and her team in which are true bird pros. Fran and her co worker at the time helped me and Angel and stopped the bleeding and saved him. I am forever grateful! Please take my advice and if you ever want to get a wonderful pet bird or need grooming, feed, toys etc. Go see Fran and her team and tell them Robert Finger sent you so they know I am helping them as well and forever grateful for saving Angel! I’ve come here a few times now, and this place is absolutely AMAZING.I bought a beautiful cockatiel here,and it’s very playful and interactive.You can tell they are very engaged with the birds and take great care of them.Within a day, my cockatiel was bonded with me enough to sit on my shoulder and play with me which was very surprising.They have a variety of toys and birds, as well as great staff who are very helpful and care about your bird.If your looking for a place to buy a bird or buy bird supplies,this place is a great option!

The owner Fran can be a vet herself. She has a great knowledge about birds. You can tell the birds are well taken care of. I havent seen a place thats so dedicated to birds, their well being and their health.

First time here with my bird and they did the cliping of the wings nail and beak trimming . They were nice and very helpful! I was afraid our bird would be traumatized but not at all! I live in Orange but will most definetly make this my new per store. Worth the drive! :)

We got our first bird here...a cockatiel. We love our bird and we love coming in every month for food and visiting with the new birds. My kids wont let me go without them. Everyone is so nice here!

Very clean. Staff is attentive and friendly. Birds are kept impeccably clean. I wish they had more variety. Its located in a corner strip. The sign is small, so look closely, you might miss it. Free bird grooming if you purchase your bird there.

This place is awesome.The workers there are superrr nice. They birds are beautiful and amazing. They even do live feedings. You can pick up and play with the birds as well. They birds talk, sing, and will gladly hop on you (some might bite) but its very fun.

This place is great to ask questions and buy bird food, but birds are obnoxiously expensive. They literally charge $120 for a parakeet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The people who groom the birds have a wonderful system. One holds while the other does the pedicure. No rug burn. Theyre kind and chat with the birds to, I feel like they truly love birds.

I was taking my bird to another place where I bought one of my other birds I wont mention any names. I took my birds to friends because it was closer and it just worked out for me that day. Well turns out the woman who runs a place was awesome with my bird. Nobody else has ever taken care of echo the way she did she wasnt stressed she didnt freak out it was awesome I have no problem recommending this place

They have a lot of birds. And they also know how to treat your birds with out having them freak out. Also, if you need help with your bird you can ask them for help as they give good advice. :)

Nice little pet shop for exotic birds: parrots, conures, cockatoos, macaws, etc. Many birds perched outside their cages. The staff will groom nails, beaks, and wings. Only possible issue is bad parking, but I go during the week when its less busy.

Pretty small and feels a little cramped. But they have some bird things and some small exotic birds. Talking to the staff they dont get a lot of bigger ones like Greys and macaws but they have Amazons and the smaller more popular birds. Nice staff and helpful with guides and lots of info of birds.

I bought 2 parakeets here. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable about the birds. They provided us with a great starting kit and offer free grooming with the birds you purchase there. The birds are all well taken care of and socialized (most of them!)

Wasnt impressed. I stopped by last year because we were considering moving to the area, and I wanted to check out some birds stores. They had a small selection of birds and some were really nice looking. The place was disorganized but it looked like they were undergoing some construction. But that is not why I rated them so low. Not a single staff person greeted me or looked at me. I had some questions and waited and hung around but nothing. They were all busy with paperwork and other things and not seeing if any customer needed help (there were two others beside me waiting around). I wont ever go back because of that. I felt unwanted in there.

Experts in their handling of parrots and their diets. They have supplies in the event theres ever an emergency, e.g. broken blood feather and have contact with a multitude of aviary vets; Ive heard the craziest of stories of what their contacts have done.A MASSIVE selection of toys and hands on time with a potential new friend as well. Id recommend coming mid day and during the week as the weekend gets hectic (thanks to the swap meet) and they put the birds to rest rather early.The staff if very friendly, informed and care about their birds very much as well as the feathery friends they have boarded with them. Fran herself is very sweet and highly perceptive of all the birds that come in. Some birds are NOT friendly towards all people due to their history; navigate all parrots carefully.

Fran’s has done the best by me and my Moluccan Cockatoo for over 10 yrs. I have use them for grooming, boarding, pet supplies and over the counter medical advice. I have always been satisfied beyond expectation.

Fran is great. She gives helpful advice and is friendly and gets to know her regular customers. She stocks higher end foods which are hard to find elsewhere, so it has become our go to local petshop for bird supplies.

Fran is absolutely the best when it comes to birds. Her and her staff, really show concern and passion for all birds. Every time I go and see new birds, I wish I had room to take another home. Currently with three and limited space, cant do at this time.

I adore my lovebird I recently got here. But unfortunately I took him in for a grooming recently and there was a young man there who did it terribly and it was an absolutely traumatizing experience for the bird especially, but also for me.First of all he could not hold the bird correctly and it flew to the floor where he also couldnt retrieve it for quite some time. When he finally got it back and started he kept saying how oh this is such a difficult bird even though he had clipped a nail too short to the point where it was bleeding. I didnt even realize what was happening, as I heard a bird screaming, and it took me about a full minute to realize it was MY bird!He was holding his head forcefully in the towel and I was begging them to stop. There was another woman there, maybe a manager I dont know but it wasnt Fran. Anyways she completely ignored me and went to the back to get away from the whole situation. I was appalled, but (to my absolute shame) I stayed silent from then until the end. When I got my bleeding bird home he couldnt perch because of the injury to his feet. Also his beak was a mess and I feel absolutely horrible about it, because the screaming was happening when his beak was being filed! The tip of the top beak is the most sensitive part of it.This young man has no idea what hes doing and I suggest you dont let ANYone but Fran handle your bird, if you care about its welfare at all. I am so disappointed in a place about which I had heard so many good things! This is a disgrace. I was speechless and to the point of crying when I left but I wish I could go back in time and that I had had the courage to speak up THEN! This place is alright as bird stores around here go, but DONT LET ANYONE BUT FRAN HANDLE YOUR BIRD. I also wish I got this young mans name. I will learn it and have my husband include it in a review he will leave after our next grooming. I know it will be better, as Fran handles the birds very well. The public deserves to know what theyre in for when they bring in their helpless birds to get groomed. And our birds dont deserve the kind of mutilation mine had to endure! He is still healing and this happened almost a week ago.

Been going here for over a year. Took budgie in a few weeks ago. Not happy, it was very dirty, the counter was stacked with so much stuff you could not even put purse or bird there. Second, Elise is gone they hired a guy that cut birds wings wrong, nails wrong inexperince people. Manager is very rude

When i went there, i fell in love with the lovebirds they had, so i deposited one of them. One of the staff gave me a paper to sign and to keep and bring when picking them up. They told me to come after 3 weeks since they were too young right now, so i said ok and left. After 3 weeks (which is now), they called me and said that they sold the lovebird i deposited, to another person because i wasnt coming! I was really devastated and angry when they said that because I was really looking forward to the day to pick up my lovebird. I mean how can they?! They gave me the application paper and now they are saying, Sorry, we sold them to another person.
