Charming little gem in Cupertino, small family-run business, back open as of September 2021. Unique, creative pastries, beautifully presented and not too sweet (Sugar Butter Flour is guilty of this). Every pastry has depth, like a surprise raspberry in the middle of their choco-mousse raspberry dome. Others have said its expensive, but for excellent unique pastries, these are really reasonable. Always a delight to get a treat from La Terra!

Great cafe. Would be nice to have early morning open hours and hours on Sunday.Edit: this place is temporarily closed but still leaves the front door open and still has the kitchen staffed. Will just completely ignore you if you call out for coffee. I arrived on the 28th, 2 days before this scheduled temporary closure but they still wouldnt help.

One of the few places in the Bay Area that serves individual sized authentic Mont Blanc dessert from France. Pro tip, call ahead to ask if they have any Mont Blanc on hand before showing up, or else you will be disappointed. You can also ask them to hold any of the desserts for you, or just pay for them over the phone and pick up when you arrive.I have only tried the Mont Blanc ($6.35) here so far, and that wasnt overly sweet like the ones we had at Angelina in Paris.Highly recommended and try all the wonderful desserts in the small boutique store next to the famous Oakmont Produce.

Cute bakery right on Homestead and Blaney. A nice place to get some pastries, desserts or coffee aside from the usual bakery chains that you find around town.They offer a variety of desserts and jams. You can also order tea aside from coffee. They serve Intelligentsia Coffee and Taras Ice Cream. There is a restroom available for use and wifi as well. Service was very welcoming. I got some desserts to go but ate in the cafe for awhile. They kept the desserts in the fridge for me until I was ready to go. Wouldnitely be coming back.

Great coffee, they serve Intelligentsia! Cakes/pastries are delicious as well. In addition, the wifi here is fast so its a nice place to work.

This has been my bakery of choice for 4 or 5 years now. I am very impressed by the quality and I make sure to tell anyone I can.Today that quality was also a part of their service. I phoned in a last min birthday cake request and was assisted by Kyra. She was receptive and informative, but most importantly, she was flexible in helping me retrieve my order.I love this place and will continue to recommend to all I come across, a diamond in the rough.

Such a lovely place to have tea with dessert! The service is outstanding also. Thats why I give this place 5 stars.A co-worker and I stopped by to wait out the traffic on one of the weeknights and both of us ordered two different kinds of tea. Each tea arrived in individual tea pots with beautiful tea cups and even a sand-watch, to tell us when we can start sipping the tea. They have so many different teas to choose from! I will definitely go back to try more flavors. And the croissant that I had was also very good. They have a large variety of different cakes and pastries to choose from. All looked very appetizing and stunning.

Prices are outrageous for the quantity and quality. The service was horrible--i stood at the counter for over 5 minutes ready to order but the young female staff couldnt care less. There wasnt any other customer in the store. I got one slice of cake and two bread items. The passion fruit cake had absolutely ZERO passion fruit flavor! The size was less than petite. The brioche was not flavorful and rich. It didnt taste like it was baked on the same day. I have baked a lot of brioche in my life, and so I know how good brioche tastes like.

Calm, peaceful atmosphere full of delicious looking cakes and baked goods! Cakes are impeccably decorated, almost... ALMOST too beautiful to eat, but in the end too tasty to resist. Only bakery in the US so far where I have been able to find Mont Blanc and it was fantastic. Tart pastry base vs sponge cake Mont Blanc, and they do it wonderfully. I will definitely come back to enjoy it and many of their other gorgeous cakes again. Fantastic for a solo coffee/tea and cake or for a small group to relax, chit chat, and nibble on sweets. They dont mess around with their espresso either! They serve Intelligentsia coffee and brew a fantastic but strong espresso, perfect to pair with a sugary cake or bread.

The best Latte in the city!!! Im not exaggerating, tried other places that are famous for their espresso-based drinks but La Terra are by far the best one. Their cakes are also very good, high quality, I would dare to say French bakery quality. The service is welcoming and fast and the place itself is very clean and cozy. Couldnt recommend more of this place. Just love it.

Its a cozy little cafe. They have some good pastries & cakes. I love their bread pudding & salmon sandwich, also their green tea.

The place was fine, but they didn’t have any high chairs, so it was hard to stay there with a 15 mo. The pear tart was great!

I love this place! They have different kinds of Forte tea freshly served. I’ve also enjoyed their matcha latte. They use organic tea, coffee and ingredients in the pasteries. I’ve tried mango mousse, and different tarts which are very delicious. Some of the pasteries are too sweet for me but still this is the best caffe with high quality pasteries and drinks I’ve found around Sunnyvale, Cupertino and San Jose.

Most of the pastries were out of stock in the late evening we went. Cup cakes were in stock and were great. Service was good also.

It reminds me of the nice bakery cafes you often see in Tokyo. They have good melon pan and an pan too.

Their own pastries and coffee drinks are great (a warmed plain croissant + latte for me), but way too pricy, even for a nice family-owned gourmet cafe. (4 stars due to price/value ratio.) Clean bathroom and free Wi-Fi (cell reception is poor in that neighborhood).

Cool organic Japanese bakery that offers bread, cakes, cupcakes, macarons, Intelligentsia coffee, and Taras ice cream. This is one of very few places in the bay area that serve matcha lattes. (They say green tea but they actually use matcha powder, which is basically the king of green teas.) I had my matcha latte made with half sugar. The matcha flavor wasnt as strong as that of other matcha lattes Ive had in Japan, but it was good and satisfied my matcha craving. (Its probably a good thing if they use less matcha because I had trouble sleeping after drinking matcha lattes in Japan. The caffeine content of matcha is substantial.) The only thing I would change is the slightly grainy texture of the matcha latte (compared with matcha lattes Ive had in Tokyo)... not sure what is causing it, but it would be great if they could fix that. The bakery also has matcha cupcakes and matcha brioches. There is very little seating inside, but if you go on an off hour, its a nice clean place to chill out with a warm drink and some yummy treats.

Japanese bakery. A bit more stylish than clover. There are many kinds of cakes. I am happy to have Mont Blanc!Bread costs around $ 3. Overpriced. There are pound cake and rusk, too.Eat-in is also available and convenient for a little tea.

Montblanc was very delicious. It is good that the sweetness is refreshing and not too harsh. The coffee taste is solid.

The food is good, but the prices seem to be well above average in the area and a relatively simple place.
