Dr. Levin and his team are the BEST!!! Customer service (Lupe, Tim and the rest) are so helpful and make you feel so welcome! Recently I had to have the lenses changed on some frames and was told that for one of my frames it would take 2-3 weeks as they had to be sent somewhere! Guess what - I received a text within 5 days that they were ready for pick up!!! Amazing and would highly recommend these people!!! Keep up the excellent work!
We are poor using medical, they get us the reading glass the bad quality. If you pay from your own pocket they get the nice quality for you. 😒
Great and efficient experience here! The staff were amazingly friendly and gave me honest results that I had no need for glasses nor tried to push buying any products. Very trustworthy place and would definitely come back if I ever actually needed glasses!

Will not email prescription. They say it’s for safety but I don’t buy it. They are requiring me to come in a second time to speak with an optician to get my prescription. Their contacts are overpriced. Doctor was nice though.

She made my most recent experience so amazing and I was in and out, exam and all in 45 min. I plan on coming here many more years!

I don’t typically write reviews, but I am extremely disappointed by how Friedman Optometry has handled my account.My first visit and eye exam was great. Betty was a great optician who helped me select frames for me. I wanted to think overnight about whether purchase those glasses.My second visit was terrible. A different optician helped me after a 30+ minute wait and she did not acknowledge that I’ve been waiting so long. I told her I already knew which frames I wanted but it turns out that they were gone and she was not helpful in providing a reason why. I had to ask her probing questions and pull answers out of her. The wait was so long that I had to run to feed the meter.I asked her if I had any contact benefits and she said that she’d check. I ended up leaving with no glasses or contacts because I wasn’t ready to make a decision. I called a week later for an update and the optician told me I had a BUNCH of charges that I never authorized or was alerted of in my first or second visit.What she did NOT tell me was that she was going to CHARGE MY INSURANCE even more for contacts to see how much they’d cover. I did not authorize any charge nor was I notified that they would submit that charge. I got a statement from my insurance that I used up all my benefits for glasses/contact lens and I have NO more money to use for the remaining year.I haven’t received ANYTHING from Friedman and I’m not able to use my benefits until this is reversed. Their front office tried to remedy the situation, but they have dropped the ball immensely in follow up. It has been over 2 months and nothing has been resolved.I’m incredibly upset and disappointed and will not be returning to this office.

I highly recommend this office for eye care needs!! The staff is super friendly, and Betty is the best at helping you pick the best glasses for your face at an affordable rate. She has always helped me to get my glasses fast, and she even matched a competitors price once! Definitely a place you should go :)
STAY AWAY! What kind of people dont allow a pregnant woman to use their restroom? Dr. M. Friedmans staff are those people! My wife went for her appointment and asked to use the restroom and was not allowed to use the restroom. I completely understand due to the pandemic things are different but if you are going to be open for business at least allow your patients to use the restroom. If you are not allowing your patients use the restroom a notice would be nice. STAY AWAY from these rude people!!

Excellent care by the staff here. Betty specifically was able to find frames that made me feel confident in my first set of glasses. She waited for me as I tried on multiple pairs before finding the right one. Felt like a nice family helping each other out.
I came here for 2-3 years when a friend referred me. Their customer service has consistently decreased with time. Today was my last visit there. I refuse to give my money where clients are mistreated. The service clerks do nothing to meet needs, instead they rush clients through and never think outside the box to provide alternative solutions, etc.

They have a great selection of glasses and they’re great at helping you pick out frames that work for you. Their prices are reasonable and they’re open on Saturday.
Big store. They fixed my wifes eyeglass for free. We were amazed that they are fixing it free. They fixed it on the spot. The eyeglass was ready in 20 minutes.

This place is always FANTASTIC when it comes to choices in frames and their customer service is always impeccable . I have been a customer since forever and any staff member I go to, I get taken care of immediately.I do want to give a shout out to Betty though. She is WONDERFUL. So quick and efficient. Doctor was awesome with my kiddos! I would definitely recommend them. They might take a little longer than other optometrist but.... please remember there are kids that he has to take more time on for certain circumstances. Think of it being you and your child in the exam room and he is trying to rush to get to the next patient. He was thorough with both my daughters. He made them feel very comfortable. Also, the front desk receptionists were very polite and professional. Wonderful experience!! I have been to many optometrist because I have worn glasses for almost 25 years, hands down the best.
Showed up for my appointment today and saw all the signs out front about limiting the number of people inside, temperature checks required before entering, masks required; they had at least a dozen people in their tiny store including people who clearly didnt need to be there, one person kept taking their mask off to try on glasses, and nobody was doing temperature checks. I walked out, called to cancel my appointment, and I wont be going back.
Dr Friedman is great, he is very thorough.Betty took measurements of my eyes for new progressive lens but she messed up by taking wrong measurements and I was uncomfortable walking, climbing up or down the stairs and even reading.Tim the amazing guy retook the measurements and ordered new lens and now they are great.

I love coming here to get my contacts! Dr Friedman is so kind and the staff is also very nice and super efficient. I was in and out the door in less than 30 min when I came in on a weekday morning for an eye exam. They also have a huge selection of glasses!

Dr Friedman has been our optometrist for the last 10 yrs and helped me as well as my children with their visual needs. I truly appreciate the kind and efficient service the staff has provided. The environment is calming and clean even if theres a busy day and you have broken glasses emergencies! I always feel blessed to see Bettys smile through some beautifully fitted new glasses and shes always so helpful and encouraging. My daughter felt so confident and happy with her new glasses she helped us pick out and Tim really sent her out with a smile after telling her how theyll continue to take care of us for clear sailin in the future! I love this office!!! Had a great experience my DITA glasses were done so fast and they are perfect! The front desk was very nice (Ofelia & Gladys are Amazing) they took care of all my paperwork and insurance info right away. So grateful because insurances can be a headache. Happened to come here because of a recommendation From another optometrist. Told me go in as a walk in you have a better chance on seeing a doctor. I called to confirm they said I could come in as a walk in and will just have to wait a bit. At the time I was told there are two patients before you. Wish they’d told me that I would have to wait till all the patients that had appointments were seen first. When I came it was 3:30 it’s almost closing time (5:32) and I was just told I’m next. They close at 6. Friendly staff especially the technician who reads your eyes. I suggest you make an appointment. My chart was being pushed back and back from the pile all this time. You will be seen right away that way. Parking is meter only on a busy street.
I like the doctor but the wait times are ridiculous even when you have an appointment.
The people here are really shady. I ordered a pair of sunglasses from them and 4 weeks later they called to say they were ready. When I came in I was given a pair of non sunglasses that werent even my prescription. They offered to rush them to get everything fixed but I told them to take your time so it gets done properly. They told me itd be ready by the following weekend at the latest. That was the last I heard from them. Turns out they charged my insurance, kept the money, and I never got anything. This place is terrible and everyone should avoid it
My experience at Dr. Friedman’s office was simply perfect. I wish I could give 6 stars! The chic decor provided a warm and welcoming environment and I was greeted by the most friendly, smart and authentic women who I knew cared about my optical needs. They walked me through all of the paperwork, protesting, and made every part my visit smooth, simple and enjoyable. I had an amazing eye exam and Dr. Levin really catered to my needs and made sure I was comfortable with everything. I then selected a super cute pair of Ray Ban’s that I saw on the Instagram account - Dr. Friedman gave Lauren from The Bachelor the same pair! I was so happy with every part of my visit. As someone who has had bad eyesight forever, I have been in and out of various doctors offices and none have ever felt like the right fit - until now. Thanks Dr. Friedman for becoming an integral part of my routine and for always having my best interests at heart.
I had an amazing experience at this office today. The dr was phenomenal. Extremely thorough and friendly. I was 20 minutes late for my appointment but they saw me anyway. I waited for their lab to make my glasses. I got a trendy pair of YSL sunglasses and a year supply of contact. They gave me a $100 rebate which is awesome. One of the staff members at the front desk was helping me out, then it felt like I was being rushed out the door as she told me she would call me the following day with an update. I waited two days patiently then finally decided to call back and was told this particular person would not be back till Friday. Not a good feeling to be treated this way!! The one bright spot was Betty, when she saw me, I told her what happened and right away took care of my order and promisedo to call to back with an update on my glasses, she went above and beyond once again. Betty you are amazing!!!

Takes forever for service. Have to sign in just for a question. Got Lasick (elsewhere) so just wanting to order 0% prescription lenses. Tried forcing me to get an exam since it had been a while. I said no as I had Lasick and don’t need one. Apparently compulsory to extort $ for exam just to order lenses. Was just trying to spend money locally by ordering lenses thru them. Will buy online from big company from now on
Update: I want to come back & update my previous review! I would thank to thank this office for their consistency, and professionalism in handling this matter. And if i must be honest, after reading all the reviews, i didn’t want to miss out on this office! They have a reputation of treating their patients great & who wouldn’t want to experience that treatment?If i could give this place less than one star, i would. I booked an online appointment last week. When i called to confirm the appointment, the receptionist informed me that she didn’t see it and that they were booked for that day. Okay, no problem! We proceeded to schedule another appointment for Monday. I come in for my appointment and this time, i am informed that i had an appointment on the 12th at 11am. I explained the situation and was told...well we’re booked so we can take you as i walk in or you can come back at 2. I thought about it and said “no, it’s okay!” The receptionist seemed ever so excited to tell me to have a good day! In fact she was way more pleasant as i was leaving which didn’t surprise me at all. I just didn’t see why this time it was okay for me to be inconvenienced? The first time i booked online but i know how online bookings go, which is why i called to confirm. I booked an actual appointment with someone that works in that office and basically i got an oh well you can wait or come back! No! That’s not my fault! Based on the fact that it didn’t seem like you wanted my business in the first place!

Being to over ten different optometrist, its safe to say I experienced my worst time here. Not only was this office underemployed but the receptionist assistants and a optometrist seemed to hate their job, as they were very disrespectful through the means of their tone and overall attitude towards the customer. It seemed the optometrist was rushing me through when I came in for a yearly check-up, to get to the other countless awaiting patients/customers.Initially when I scheduled an appointment, I had to subsequently wait another hour past the scheduled time, due to the fact that there was over eight...yes EIGHT patients waiting before me. This is a natural consequence due to the cheap owner, Dr. Freidman who doesnt seem to hire more than two optometrist. One of whom is really not a optometrist yet rather a Ophthalmic Laboratory Technician. THIS WAS TOLD TO ME BY ONE OF THE WORKERS WHO HELPS CUSTOMERS TRY ON GLASSES.Even when I returned to pick up an already payed for box of contacts, I had to wait for an hour and a half to just get a two-minute processed follow-up by the Ophthalmic Laboratory Technicians.I THEN waited yet ANOTHER TWENTY-FIVE MINUTES in the utterly confined waiting room--literally it was eleven chairs in a 6 by 4 feet room--patiently waiting for MY ALREADY PAID AND ORDERED box of contacts. After waiting patiently, I was then told that it was out of stock. And would be called when they are back in stock to come back and pick them up.IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON COMING HERE, LOOK FOR OTHER LOCAL OPTOMETRIST OFFICES THAT TAKE YOUR INSURANCE, AS TO AVOID USELESS TIME IN THIS HIGHLY DISORGANIZED OPTOMETRIST OFFICE.
I had a terrible experience. I only went to this office once and do not recommend them to anyone. I went in to have my frames adjusted. A women who claimed to be the manager took my frames and without warming them up began twisting and bending them. This action shattered the hinge on my $700 Allan Mikkle frames. I immediately said something about what I just witnessed and she denied doing it, and said it was already in that condition when I gave it to her. To add further insult, she offered to sell me another frame at a discount.

I have been going to Dr. Friedman,s office since I was a child. They are wonderful.for the at least the last 10 years I have always asked for Jeanine, I have step on my glasses, my daughter has gotten a hold of them and bent them so bad I thought this is it I will have to but another pair but, nope I take them in and she is a amazing she just bends them right back in to shape and I leave with my glasses looking brand new.The other staff is always very friendly and Dr. Levin is the best.

My experience at Dr. Friedmans office was awesome. The moment I walked in I was greeted by a very pleasant and professional Receptionist. After completing the necessary paperwork I was directed to the waiting area. I was impressed with the selection of magazines for patients while waiting for Dr. Friedman. I was viewing the table of contents of a current copy of an Essence magazine, with the intention of reading an article, but I was called in and seen at my appointed time.My eye exam with Dr. Friedman was thorough and complete. Afterwards, I was shown beautiful eyeglass frames from a selection that varied from economical to designer styles. I ask about the prices and received the information. I plan to return and purchase a pair of glasses soon. I appreciated the employee showing me the frames and she explained the process. It was clean, nice, professional office.Had my glasses broken by the lab which was upsetting, but Betty went beyond for me to make sure that I picked the glasses that were right for me. My glasses could not be replaced, due to my frame being discontinued. But hey it is what it is! Betty is the best!

I went on Friday, October 13th, 2017 without an appointment. They were unable to accommodate me. I was upset, but I really like the Doctors and the Staff there. Fortunate for me, I found out that I would be getting off early Tuesday, so I called Monday to see if I could get an appointment. Thank You Alyssa. Once I got there, the entire staff was quite attentive, and my girl Rebecca got my glasses together and I was on my way! I guess thats why I keep going back.

After five years of being a patient I am glad to say I left because Jeanne the office manager is a shady lier . She will up sell her products and she will also racially profile u. So if u look like u can afford it she will higher the price and pretend to give u a discount when in fact u are just paying the cost price . She will trick you and say your ordered something u know u did not and force u to like it if u don’t u will be routed to the next person that will say the same as the last agent and not fix your problem Like a game they will take turns not helping u even while they pretend to do so . They know what u want and they will not give it to u on purpose . if u Say there’s a problem they will try to extract more money to make repairs or changes . Do not go to this place they are Shadeytow will use your insurance incorrectly lastly u will want to scream but don’t just leave and don’t return!

This isnt an optometrists office, it is a retail shop. Do not go to this doctors office, if you are looking to be comfortable and welcomed. I started going to this doctor in 2006, and I really liked Dr.Friedman, but when it came to the ordering contacts or glasses, it turned into a retail shop. They over charge for a box of contacts and their eye glass selection is clearly catered to the rich. Dont get me wrong, I can appreciate the luxury things in life (this is LA), but when the service is snobby and cold, it makes you feel uncomfortable. NOT GOING BACK! Getting my rx and I am out! SNOBS!

Ive Been To This Place A Couple Times For New and To Repair My Glasses, But Recently Ive Gone To Get My Frames Repaired, They Had Ordered Them And Usually Itll Take About A Week or Two To Have My Glasses Back, But The Last Visit I Had Was 3 Weeks Ago, and Still I Have No Glasses, It Is Affecting My Job And Vision. They Had A Made A Mistake and Had Ordered Someone Elses Glasses and Now I Believe Ill Be Waiting Another Week, Or More If They Continue Making Mistakes Like That.

The women that work there are just trying to sell products. I have a family of 8 and 3 of us get glasses there but not no more . They laugh in ur face when they tell u they cant fix the glasses because they charge $89 for frames that r used.They can go f them selves.

Okay, to make a long story short- I was looking for a decent price for a basic eye exam because it has been ages since I got my baby blues checked out. You know what they say, You only get one pair of eyes so you better take care of them! Or do they say that? Nonetheless! I discovered this place and decided to go. Who can beat A $59 eye exam?? I mean, even if its a crappy experience, its worth it- as long as I can make sure my eyes are safe for a decent deal. I dont need anyone to ice the cake for me. Were all human, after all.To the appointment! I went in, and the office seemed bright and lively. The women behind the front desk greeted me like they all just drank a gallon of coffee apiece. These ladies were surprisingly courteous &FULL of spunk! Thats what I like to see when I go out to a place- it makes you feel warm and welcome. The woman who checked me in gave me some short paperwork that I had to fill out. It was quick and easy....I waited a lousy 20 minutes before I got seen, but I feel like thats a typical waiting time? Its not everyday that I see an eye doctor, clearly. When I go see my general practitioner its usually about the same time unless I have to fill out a book of paperwork (which is the first time only anyways...) They called my name and I went for pretesting and then went to the exam room. Mister doc guy greeted me and he seemed somewhat serious, but hes an eye doc sooooooo what more could I really expect? Him to bring me some cookies and make me laugh while hes checking out my eyes? Onnnnnnly in dreamland. Lol. He actually turned out to be a pretty nice guy. Anyways, my babyblues ended up being good to go- I didnt need any extra services and left feeling content that my eyes would last me years to come as long as I check up on them regularly? Im a positive person and I give positive vibes to the universe, so I feel like I get back what I give. I was happy my visit here turned out so well. I wont be back for a while (probably like 5 years, lol) because I rarely check my eyes unless Im at the DMV. I will go back here in 5 years though... it was a friendly environment &thats what I like to experience when I pay for a service! I definitely recommend them..
