First Time I was in, was today. I went in looking for a specific comic that was 40 years old. The man there was super helpful. I believe his name was Chris, I will be going back soon and making sure, so that way I can have this post 100% correct. Well, they didnt have it but that was ok because I will be going back and looking for missed books from my collection. Either way, it wasnt a loss. Like I said the man there was informative and we talked comic books and anime. Extremely great guy. So if you need something or curious about the store then head on over. You wont be disappointed. 😎

I would have made this place my go-to comic book store and would have recommended to a lot of friends and co-workers, until today, because I felt harassed, threatened, and treated as a ROBBER than a CUSTOMER. When I exited the store, I was approached by the staff, named Scott, demanding I return the book I have on my hand when I exited out or he will call the cops. How would you feel when someone comes to you and the whole 2 min conversation was him already assuming that you stole the book and telling you he will call the cops on you for 5 TIMES, or more, if not panic and anxiety? My mistake was I’m new to comic stores and I didn’t approach him before entering that the book in my hand was bought yesterday, because I have the mobile receipt with me. However, there are a lot of options, even the owner on the phone, June, said. He couldve accessed the cctv or check their copies of receipt, but he wanted me to go home and come back with the paper receipt. It took me $20 to return to that store JUST to get MY book, then have the owner tell me he couldve just called scott that my story checks out, after looking at the CCTV. If you want to buy a good comic for the first time, go here, but be careful when you go back.. they might call the cops on you. Or atleast SCOTT will.

Good experience. Would love 10-20% discount like other comic stores on new comics.. maybe thats why that hot comicz are still in stock here. Better to have one comic than no comic.. Choose your evil 🤪..

Great selection of Western comics featuring and promoting local artists. They have events with artists and fee Comic Book days for the kids.

Im new to the comic world so this was the first comic shop I have ever been in. The gentleman working was super sweet and very helpful. Even built my short box for me since I didnt know how. Yes Im that much of a newbie. Will definitely shop here again when Im in the area.

Ive been coming to this location for comic books for Decades. I have never once gone in knowing what I wanted to buy, but thanks to the staff, I always left having something great to read.

They offer pulls so you dont miss out. They have great staff who are knowledgeable and can offer fantastic recommendations. My family loves it!

Love this place! The people who work here are great, the variety is vast, its spacious and well-organized. Sometimes they play music and its always a bop. Sometimes they have a show playing on the tv and its always appropriately volumed and interesting. I really appreciate this shop and the folks who operate it. Without a doubt, my favorite comic book shop.

Were definitely coming back to this location! We walked in and immediately we were greeted by Chris. He made it an absolute pleasure the entire time, and helped us find what we were looking for plus he made amazing suggestions for new comics to explore based on our unique interests. Whats great about comic book shops is that theres no franchise template; each is a unique little snowflake. There are things you expect, but each proprietor has a different take on them. The Comic Bug sells new issues, back issues, games, toys and collected editions and presents them in a way that engenders the feeling of discovery that makes a great comic book shop.Theres the huge wall of new and recent issues, which leads you to a robust selection of back issues, which leads you to the stores signature bin of issue runs -- sequential comics packaged up in story lots at a fair discount. Further, their sales are fantastic, clearing out discounted back issues, graphic novels and other items at serious reductions. A hundred dollars might not be a lot for some people to spend in a single purchase, but it is for me and I came out of that place with probably $200 worth of merchandise.Atop it all, the folks running it are delightful; engaging customers, offering sincere help and running in-store promotions that foster a fun, communal vibe. I wish I lived closer, because The Comic Bug is a textbook example of the classic comic book store.

Awesome place with a wide selection of comic books. Sizeable selection of action figures including Hasbro, Neca, Mezco, Pops, Mcfarlane, ShFiguarts, Mafex, Hot Toys. The cashier was very amiable and even hooked me up with a free bookmark 👍

Great neighborhood shop for comics and still in the hood!! While I miss them as neighbors on 20th, the new Mission St. location is great. Wonderful selection for fans of all ages and the proprietor is great to chat with too. Oh, and did I mention their selection of enamel pins? Not to be missed.

This shop is amazing. LARGE selection of comic books marvel, DC, image, and Darkhorse. This is a great shop to take your kids to get them started on their fav superheroes.

Really solid collection of monthly comics and tons of TBPs in the back. Great little comic book store not too huge but not too small. Seems like a good place to start if youre just getting into comics.

One of my favorite spots to go to. Always have stock on a lot of titles and staff is always great. If I cant find it in Manhattan Beach, I look for it here. And yes, I drive the 405 North just to come here. The comic bug has provided for almost 90% of my single issues, 80% of my series collections (graphic novels I suppose) and will continue to earn my money because of their genuine passion for comics and their down to earth service. If you dont find what you are looking for, youll find something you didnt realize you were looking for.

They make you feel welcomed. They offer assistance and willing to answer your questions. I havent read comics in over 20 years. I took my son to get him to start.

Ive been going here for almost a year now. Ben and Scott are super friendly. The store is clean and organized. Bags and boards are free. Theres lots of special events. Neighborhood parking is plentiful. Managing your pull list is simple.Edit:Still going years later. Still happy.

Their computer has record if you already bought a comic issue so you dont buy two by mistake.

Excellent LCS! Everyone is friendly, theyre very helpful, and the layout is just big enough to be comfortable but not so big that youll get lost.Its a cozy place that is a great place to start for someone who has never entered a comic book store before and is looking to wet their feet.

I have buying my comics from here since I moved to Los Angeles in 2012. The staff is knowledgeable on the topic of comics. They are friendly, sociable, and carry a great conversation on most things comics. They know their repeat customers by name and comic preferences. If you are lucky, you might see people from the nearby movie studios show up. Also, they have connections to special movie screenings of select superheroes. Also, if there is a comic book you want, but they do not carry, they can get. This was helpful when I was looking for Voltron and Robotech. The place has wall-to-wall comics, merchandise, and limited edition items for your taste. Worth the visit and money.

Best place for comics-- hands down. Mykal, Scott, Mime and Ben are the Best. They have great pull program for issues you need. I love them.
