This place is awesome. Yeah the coffee is more expensive than youd like. But it has a chill vibe, the employees are nice, and all the pastries Ive tried have been delicious. I now go there just for the pastries. Try the croissants and blueberry danish.

Well I once had the perfectly frothed milk with an exceptional shot at this place, but its been pretty bad the last two times Ive tried this place. This time the shot was burned slightly, the milk has poor texture. If you get bad coffee get them to make again until the milk has no large bubbles.

Happiness in a cup. You cant go wrong with this gem of a coffee place. Sadly all the croissants were sold out. Nice place to hang out as well. Street parking for free near by. Great, friendly staff

It was nailed to this coffee shop when it came to cozy vibes. There are cozy couches, chairs. The staffs are good and the mood is great. All the workers were genuinely welcoming and kind. They have a nice coffee and one of a kind. I strongly recommend this spot for all caffeine addicts.

We had lunch in this place last weekend because we visited a relative near the place. The ambiance, services, and servers were the best!

The staff is incredibly friendly and unbelievably competent at their jobs. One time I was accidentally double-charged because of a glitch in the internet that had temporarily shut off, and as soon as I recognized this on my banking app, I called Cognoscenti Coffee to let them know. They immediately refunded both charges, and gave me a complimentary coffee the next time I was there.

I really recommend this coffee shop to everyone. Inside and out, this is a very beautiful coffee shop. With polite and happy workers and a strong range of accessible, balanced menu choices, the place lives up to standards. The environment of the place is very pleasant and was strategically positioned.

I dont go to coffee shops too much, but this is one of them. There is also a wide selection of coffees to pick from. Highly recommended!!

I came in desperate for organic beans that are nutty after blue bottle seems to have issues with stocking this kind of been all year long, and Max was super helpful and thoughtful. These beans smell exactly like what I’m after. The day prior, someone else gave me a great suggestion about finding a replacement aeropress at bed bath and beyond. These guys are obviously good people who know coffee.

The barista of this coffee shop was very good in making their best seller coffee. The other staff was very courteous and respectful. Their slice of cake was very tasty perfect to pair.

My old milk cartado was pretty good. Great service. However, I was disappointed that they were sold out of there house roasted beans. I came from out of town and was looking forward to trying them.

I went here for the first time today and ordered a honey latte, a vanilla latte and 2 hot chocolates for my kids. The experience etc was great but the drinks were not on point, at all!!! My kids hated their drinks, said they lacked the sweetness and creaminess that hot cocoa should have. They didn’t even finish them, $8.50 wasted. With respect to the lattes, my wife and I finished them but they too, we’re not good. They both were void of any honey or vanilla flavor. They tasted like over milked lattes, not good.Again, the experience was fine but the drinks leave little to be desired; I won’t be back.

Great first experience! I was new in the area, and I was looking for the best beauty shop. I ended up at this shop after a minute of strolling. The place was so clean and tidy. My hairdresser was very polite and friendly. She asked me what I wanted to be done, and was overall very attentive and considerate to my needs. I loved what he was done to my hair!

Sweet, contemporary woman-owned cafe with specialty drinks like a rose lavender latte that comes with an actual rose and lavender buds on top. Theyre dog friendly on the back patio and offered my pup water.Google maps will lead you to the alleyway behind Lankershim but apparently Apple maps guides you to the correct location! They said theyre trying to get it fixed on yelp and google maps

Came here for the first time the other day and really liked it. Only ordered the Iced Tea/Lemonade combo which was very good. Great atmosphere to read/study/etc. With two levels inside and a nice patio area in front. Will definitely be back!

Iced americano was tasty-- not at my top favorite but its definitely better than avg. With regards to parking, Its very unclear where the designated free parking lot for this Cafe is at. Drive thru behind the store by alleyway but theres no signage for cognoscenti. Unfortunately, o just parked residential (metered)

I had a delicious almond cappuccino and comfortably worked on my laptop for about an hour. Unfortunately, there were no outlets, but there was free WiFi!

Wow, I have no words to describe how amazing this place is but to say that it is amazing. Coming from Jacksonville Fl, I have been spoiled myself and now I am scared I will not be able to find a place like this when I go back home. I had the traditional breakfast and it was amazing the potatoes were perfect in taste, the scrambled eggs were fluffy and everything else was just incredible. Highly recommend.

This place is THE BEST. I often come when it opens to get my work done and the ambiance is just so calming. It doesnt feel like youre in the middle of a city, which is insane! They have plenty of outlets for your charging needs, and the staff is so kind and friendly. Did I also mention they are nonprofit? Definitely reccomend

I was pleasantly surprised how good the espresso was. Definitely good+ and I think they had probably a dry African variety which matches up with my preference. I think I would put it ahead of the Commissary for espresso. The pastries were okay, and I am not sure my friend was overwhelmed by her latte. They had a good selection of some different west coast beans. The seating was a bit limited, but there is a small back patio.

Ample amount of space to work, great WiFi, and great drinks! Their prices are also average in comparison to the area. Coffee ranging from $4-6. They have smoothies, all day breakfast menu, and pastries to choose from. There seems to be parking in the back though it gets full - there is parking everywhere on the streets! Highly recommend this coffee shop to get work done or have your meetings!

Hard to notice if you drive to fast. Friendly people behind the bar, and real quick. Place is extremely small though.

The coffee is on point! It is one of the few places I know that has consistent extractions. Trust me when I say these people know what they are doing. Solid crew behind that bar!If you need a place to work on some e-mails they have tables and chairs both indoors and outdoors. Its fairly small place so seating is limited. Charge your laptops if you plan on staying for bit.

This was fine, but weird. There is a very limited selection of coffee, but the coffee available is good and served with a flourish. I guess the kinds of coffee served/varieties are swapped out from time to time? With only approx. 6-7 items on the menu (that I could tell), I ordered an espresso which tasted good and was served in a nice ceramic cup. Service was super friendly and relaxed, and the ambiance is great.

The honey latte is my favorite here. The quality of the food is great. From what I understand, this is something they thought about themselves.

Very cool folks behind the bar. I got some oolong tea and it came in a sweet little pot that looked like something from a laboratory. The crowd here is also fantastic. Lots of young people doing things and consulting others in their profession. Inspiring little place.

Pricey but excellent coffee rich in complexity and taste. Small minimalist space not really conducive to hanging out. We took our coffees to go while we walked around Culver City arts district, which feels more like a small up and coming town than part of crowded Los Angeles.

The people are a little serious for coffee people but friendly enough and the lattes kick ass.I used to go to New Cooking School down the street but Cognoscenti has smoother lattesand better baked goods. Delicious coffee in a nice quiet area. The chairs are very small and there is only 1 electric outlet (that wasnt working the day I was there) so not the best place to work. But friendly staff and great for a quick coffee and bite.

My favorite coffee place in Los Angeles. Great staff that are always friendly and who know their stuff but never come across as coffee snobs. The space is on the smaller size inside, but laid out well, plus theres a dog friendly outdoor patio.

Great spot for cold brew and fantastic beans. Prices are reasonable for prepared drinks ($4 cold brew) and comparable for high-end beans (~$18+ per bag) though thats far beyond what youll pay for run-of-the mill beans at the grocery.
