I cant believe it. They no longer sell auto parts and accessories. Barely know they are only doing Tire installations and service. UPDATE: Apparently there will still be locations selling parts (I think). However, this is no longer the case at my local Pep Boys in Culver City, CA. Service and Tires only there.

I had some good experience with this location couple times ago when I did my oil change.But this time I leave my car for an inspection, the experience is really bad.Heres the story,My car was not able to started at a nearby parking lot, so I called a towing service to drop off my car at this location. Since the time is late, they told me that they will inspect my car at the next morning.I woke up next morning and give them a call, they told me that there are two cars ahead of me so I will have to wait for them to call me.After sitting at my place for two hours, I gave them a call and they told me nothing has happened because they are busy.Thats fine, another one and a half hour has gone, I gave them a call again. The person Cindy told me the same answer as nothing has happened. Its really frustrating, but I guess is reasonable if they are really busy.And another hour, I tried to called again hoping to get some answer. A girl pick up the phone and told me shes going to check with Technician and put me on hold.I was holding there for 15 minutes just hearing the music. And I decided to hung up and call again. Then Cindy pick up again. Told me the same thing to wait for their call. I really need my car to be done today, so I told them answer that I got from them about only two cars ahead of me, or my car will be there first thing to handle, etc. She got really rude and ask me if I want to pick up my car. And I ask her I just want to know if my car is going to be handled today. At the end, she just hung up my phone.I understand that you guys are busy with other car, but I just want to know if theres any progress. You can be honest with your customer by telling them about how many cars was ahead or even if my car wont be handled today. That would all be fine to me. But instead they just keep telling me to wait and give me no update. Whats worse is that they even hung up on their customer.This will be my last time doing business with this Pep Boy. Im really sad because my last couple experience were good.

I went for an oil change and later I was told that my wheel was loose and that I needed to get the wheel stud replaced. This was a lie because my car was in perfect condition went I arrived. My husband checked the car and found that one of the guys at Pepboys untighten the wheel stud which made my wheel to be loose. This is unacceptable!!!! How can they leave my car in that condition and let me leave with a loose wheel because they wanted to get more money out of me. Terrible customer service.

This store is disgusting. This (pictured) was in the doorway. I had a tire that needed to be replaced. I came in today about 4pm, I was told they were too busy and go to Just Tires down the street. No worries, they dont deserve my business.

First time at this Pep Boy and didnt feel too welcomed upon entry as no employee in the store even bothered to lift their eyes for any acknowledgement that there were customers even just a few feet away from them. But just came for an oil change and tire rotation and they did the job alright.

We typically get really good service here! We bring all our cars for general maintenance (tires, brakes) and service (oil changes). Whenever we’ve had any issue, they corrected them immediately and were very empathetic. Javier is our go to guy, but all of them are good.

Never coming back here. They were charging double the amount for what “needed to be done”. I took my car to another mechanic and he was able to fix my car in one day vs. the two days Pepboys would have needed. Very unprofessional. Go to a mechanic rather than this place.

During the process, Daniel kept in touch and advised me of additional services that would be priority to have done next to keep my car in tip-top shape. Will definitely come back because of his thoroughness in explaining the other work advised.

Most of the time I get reliable mechanics who are straightforward with me regarding the needs of my car. A few times I’ll get one who tries to up sell me on everything and tries to make me believe that there’s hundreds of dollars more work needed to be done. When I’m suspicious I’ve refused the work, and wait to see if they “catch” the same issue the next time I’m in.

This is the worst Pep Boys Ive ever been. They dont make you feel welcome and I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. Its was raining the day for my appointment to have a oil change and diagnostic test for a engine light. I told them that Id like to wait for my car and was told the waiting room is temporary closed. I said its raining outside what am I to do. You can cancel or wait outside. I waited for a hour and half in the rain. Ill will never go back to this store.

I brought my car in to have a tire patched but they could not do it because tire was too old what are you understand. But they wanted to sell me four new tires. I understand that two tires needed to be replaced because they were nearing the end of life but the other two tires where bought from them about two years ago and had very little wear. So I bought a packet so that I could drive my car and bye two tires instead of four.

They told me that my product was going to be available by noon and they later gave me excuse that it missed driver so they told me by 2 p.m.,i called and still was not there so finally it got there around 2:45 p.m. when i got there just to find out that it was the wrong part. This crew always comes through for me. I usually leave my cars and they call later in the afternoon when its ready. Appointments are best and can be easily made, however you can just show up and drop off your vehicle too. It just might take longer without an appointment. Oil changes are fairly fast in and out.The store itself is filled with everything you could need for your car. Parts to pills and hub caps and accessories. They have it all. Friendly, helpful staff that some to please. I have no complaints.

Theyve got a good selection and okay pricing. If youre making a purchase that you can wait for, you can always get a better deal online, but you can get whatever you need here for regular maintenance tasks. The staff is personable except for in the maintenance department. Always make an appointment if youre going to have repair or maintenance work done. Do not go here for an oil change come over because youre much better off going to a quick lube place.

I have been going to pep boys for all of my service on my vehicle since 2014. I have had mixed experiences, but since I started going to this location it has been very positive. The service staff here is exceptional. They know me every time I go in and I am always treated fairly. They let me know what I need and what can wait and they always go above and beyond when I go in. Even when it is very busy they work hard and you can see that they care. I cannot recommend these guys enough. The service manager Javier and Danny Perez are two outstanding professionals that will care for your vehicle like it is their own. When it comes to maintaining your car theres nobody better.

My previous experience with this Pep Boys store has been fair. Typical oil change usually did not take more than an two or three hours at the most, in-fact once they did it less than 45 minutes - which must be a record. Well in any case this time around I had arrived very early in the morning at 7:30am after googling their opening hours, apparently to my annoyance 8:00am was the actual opening time. I tried grabbing the attention of two customer reps to see if I can drop the key with them, but after a good 10 minutes of purposely trying to ignore me, one of them singled that I could drop it in the drop box and fill out the form on what needed to be done. The drop box did not have any form. Long story short waited until they opened, got in line and when it came to my turn, and while taking my information, I mentioned to the customer rep that their opening hours did not match what showed on the internet and that they were out of forms to fill in the drop box outside. Upon hearing this, and clearly annoyed for pointing out their failures, he proceeded to tell me that there were many cars ahead of me - although he failed to mention this to the two previous customers who were ahead of me for the day. I made a mental note that this was a message to indicate they plan to waste as much time getting to the car. To confirm I asked if it would be ready a good three hours later, to which he replied he could not confirm. Needless to say I called them 4 hours later and was told that they had not touched it yet, and that there was another car ahead of me and that they could not let me know when they will get to my car. I promptly cancelled the order as I knew they were intending to waste my time. I guess pointing out their deficiency did not sit well with them. ... So customer be ware not to offend these hyper sensitive customer reps. if you ever come by here.

If you need something done fast avoid this place like the plague. I went in for an oil change and was told it would take an hour and a half at max. It took THREE AND A HALF HOURS. I went up after 2 hours and asked about the status and was told 15-20 mins more at most, I then informed them I had to be at work in an hour and a half and they said oh itll be done well before that dont worry. Spoiler, it wasnt and I was late for work. Great, my 93 year old grandma can do this faster. Remember, this was for AN OIL CHANGE. Jiffy Lube did this in about 30 mins on a very busy day for them. If you have countless hours to waste, come to Pep Boys, if youre a normal human who doesnt like being lied to and wasting time, try literally any other auto shop. Wouldnt even have been that big of a deal if they were honest up front as I could have given my manager an accurate time Id be in around. But they just kept stringing me along instead of saying oh we were WAY off this is going to take a lot longer than we quoted. Clowns.

Oh what a glorious day to be sitting in the pep boys waiting area for 2 hours and 45 min to get what you thought would be a quick oil change. I made an appoint at 2:30pm and told them that I would be waiting. No mention of how long it would take so I figured 45 min to an hour was reasonable.None of the employees mentioned any delays and I had to constantly ask them what was going on. After the 2 hour mark I had pretty much lost all sanity. To top it off they couldnt drive stick so I had to back it out of the garage. At least they didnt kill my clutch.Lessoned learned, I guess I will be going to the dealer and paying the extra $30 to save 2+ hours of my life.

Review for the parts store only: Nice and pretty knowledgeable employees, and a little bit better stocked than other stores in the area. Waiting to be served, or to be helped can be sometimes to long but is a general problem at most of their stores. A general note about the merchandise, not specific to this location: Not all the parts sold in the PB chain are great quality, check the reviews on individual store brands parts before ordering or buying.

After it started 10 minutes after I had called AAA I went to Pep Boys in Culver City. Greg was able to get my battery checked while checking 2 other components. I was in and out in less than 1 hour. Second unethical Pep Boys in 2 days so it must not be a coincidence.Came here with a nail in a tire and slow leak to have the tire patched.I was lied to and told the tire could not be patched. They were forcing me into buying a new tire for $80 plus tax and mounting and balancing and old tire disposal fee, so basically $100 plus or minus.I drove to the south bay to my trusted longtime tire guy, T and J on Prairie, and he patched the tire for $15. T & J had similar new tires for $65 out the door.I will never ever go to Pep Boys for service.

I spoke to the guy who had the battery I needed. He transferred me over to service guys who I thought would help me. Instead someone named Sergio put me on hold and never came back. When I got there they said it would be two hours, for a battery. I took the battery and left. The service guys seemed unhappy and didnt really care. I had to get to work. I was charged for the service and the job was never performed.I had taken my car to get an inspection and it failed because the REVERSE light was not working. The inspection company stated that the reverse light was the ONLY reason for not passing. I had noticed that my reverse light would sometimes come on and off at certain times, but all other lights always worked. I took my car to Pep Boys and Javier Gomez inspected it. However, this time the reverse light was working, and they had told me that the reverse light is fine, but the functional brake light is out. I trusted Pep Boys diagnosis (my mistake) and had them perform the job. I took my car back to the inspection company and my car fails the inspection again. The inspection company had let me know that the only reason that my car failed was because of the reverse light and my brake light was working when they inspected it the first time. I actually ended up fixing the reverse light myself, because I knew at this point that Pep Boys is not trustworthy. The only reason I am writing this review is because of what happened next. In less than a month the bulb they supposedly replaced went out. As I went to replace this bulb, I noticed that this bulb was very old and just by looking at it, I was able to see that they did not replaced the bulb. Note: I had that bulb replaced about a year and a half ago, and it came with two bulbs. I compared the bulbs and they were identical, except the one that I took out that they stated they had fixed was extremely worn, old, and burnt out. I ended up replacing the bulb myself.This is the experience that I had at 4520 S. Sepulveda Blvd Culver City, CA 90230

They are always very helpful here and it is great for an oil change. They can be expensive but for basic maintenance and oil changes its perfect. The management is extremely helpful and when I brought my car in because the engine light was on, they check it out for free. This was not a diagnostic, just great customer service. They helped me realize that it was due to me not warming up my car long enough in the mornings so it was triggering the check engine light! Anyways, I love this place because they are open late and great customer service!

I just had my oil change done today, and I had to shake the Service Manager Johns hand for the great customer service! First of all, when other places are charging $30- $45 for a simple oil change w/ filter, Pep Boys only charged $21.99!!! Plus they checked my fluids, belts, and air filters. My cabin filter was pretty nasty, so John charged me for the part and installed it for FREE!I always have a great experience here, thats why I always take my car and my relatives cars for service. A couple of months ago, I had a flat tire and they repaired it, installed it, and put the spare tire back in its cargo space... FOR FREE!Thanks again to the Service Manager John and his staff for the outstanding service!

Truck sat there all day (10am to 8:45pm) for a brake inspection. I called several times and checked on it in person. Went to the shop before closing and nobody new the outcome of the inspection. Earlier in the day, one mechanic said it would be about $1,400 but to come back in two hours because he needed to put the tires back on the truck. The old man around closing time, said the brakes were fine? If Pep Boys cant even get an inspection down, I doubt that I could trust them to fix my truck right. That sort of service can get somebody injured or killed. Bad, very bad service!

About a year ago I had a head light go out on my 2011 Tahoe. I decided to go in and have them both replaced. A few months after that one of then went out again so I went back to have them both replaced, and again one went out. I suspected that they probably touch the bulbs with there hands witch shortens the life of the bulb, or they just replaced one and not both. this is why I decided to do it my self and found out they did not replace both of them but just the bad one. My suggestion is to ask for the parts that are being replaced so you dont get scammed like I did. I can only imagine what kind of other shady things they do there.

They actually took me back to show me why I needed new brakes and rotors and gave a very good price and treated me like I was important to them. Unbelievable. I roll in on a Sunday morning with a simple tire repair, and ask the Assistant Manager (Myron) how long it will take to fix. He says 25-30 minutes. Perfect. Time passes. And passes. An hour and a half later, Im still waiting for my car. Turns out they havent even looked at it. I ask Myron for an update - he says thinks that it will be another hour. Seriously?! How do you underestimate the time of a tire repair by two hours? I tell him I need to be leave for work in 15 minutes, to which he says Oh... the Honda! and says he is going to check with his mechanic again. He comes back and announces to the waiting area: Im sorry - its done! and then motions for (someone, me?) to follow him into the service bay. Everyone waiting looks at each other. I shrug, get up and follow him. In the service bay, he appears to be waiting for me, and then without saying anything jogs off and dives into a the footwell of a sedan. I wait. He emerges from the sedan, glances at me, and disappears out the back door. I go back to the service counter to find out whats going on, and the service tech says he doesnt know. Sweating, Myron returns five minutes later. I told you its not done! Huh? But you said it was done?. Myron: Weve been over this and over this. The keys are in the car - are you going to wait or do you do you need to go to work? Huh? Not even an apology. The folks in the waiting area that Ive been sitting with are just as perplexed.

Completely took advantage of me. They told me $3000. After having someone look at the invoice, I learned they were double charging me on items, repairing items that were going to be replaced, racking up service charge, and adding unnecessary service charges. I had my car towed to j&g auto repair and they charged me $500 for it. If your a woman going in there, they will take advantage.

I came to the shop for maintenance tune ups, etc. They did GREAT job on my aging 2007 KIA Sportage LX which is over 117,000 miles. They are honest that they showed me what is wrong with parts in my car, get it fixed asap. I really appreciate it a lot. I am very happy that my car is running smoothly. Thank you very much! :-)

I called the Pep Boys store in Culver City (4520 Sepulveda Blvd) to inquire about my car which was towed to that location after it died on a public street at my job. When I called to inform them that my vehicle was to be towed to their location I was put on hold for 10 minutes and only received service only after I called on another line. I then spoke to a man named Miguel who was very dismissive and unprofessional - and whom seemed to be too busy to answer any question about the status of my car or to even get my correct demographic information so that he could look up my account information on the computer.He told me that he would look at the car and that he would call me back.2 hours later I took the initiative to call the store as I still had not received a call and was once again put on hold by a repair technician. First, I was told that the issue was a problem with my clutch and after I informed the operator that I had a life time warranty and receipt I was put back on hold. When she returned she acted as if she had the wrong name and was unaware of whom she was talking too - even though I gave her a work order number and my phone number when I called. After 5 minutes I was transferred to Miguel who was EXTREMELY rude and dismissive as he would not answer my question as to whether my warranty would apply and or how much the repairs would cost.Please call me back at your soonest convenience because I am not happy with the level of service or the professionalism of the staff. I called in to ask for a tire rotate. The employee who answered the phone said no problem, bring it in, we are open until 9pm. I pulled into pep boys at 6:30pm. The technician in the shop said we cant get you in tonight. I explained that I called in 30 minutes ago and they said it was no problem. The technician rudely said, well, you didnt talk with me. I cant help you.Extremely poor customer service. Ill take my business elsewhere from now on. Id recommend others to service their vehicles elsewhere as well.

Jamie is what my receipt says is the name of the most helpful employee that store has. Walked out to my car to determine the box had the wrong part in it so I wouldnt take the wrong part and put a order for the next day from another store. A plus service from him

If you need a fast service choose another shop. Took me 6 hours to get my tires put on. These guys are all disrespectful, at least the ones I dealt with.

Needed an oil change and didnt have an appt, they fit me in, staff was efficient and very nice, waiting area with plenty of outlets and WiFi so I could work while waiting, free coffee, and a good coupon. Very happy with the service. And the service manager Gregory is a great guy. Thanks!
