Not a good place. I went here because I needed my car looked at that day; I did not have time to take it to my regular mechanic. I went in because I was hearing funny noise while accelerating and I notice a small brownish puddle under the car. They told me that I had a steering pump leak and that it was getting on the belt, hence the noise and leak. They wanted $1300 to fix/replace!!! That was worth half the value of the car, so I said no. Few days later after being parked in my driveway there wasnt any signs of a leak. I risked taking it 20 miles to my mechanic, so I could get a second opinion. He told me there isnt a steering leak and the belt is perfectly fine. There was a small pin size hole in the boot of the rack and pinion, but that couldnt of been the leak, he surmised that it was condensation from AC with a little crud on the bottom, which he showed me by jacking up the car and walking me underneath.To make this long story short, Larsens tried to create a phantom problem to bill me $1300 or theyre just really bad at diagnosing car issues without care. They also charged me $130 for diagnostic, instead of $65 (which they told me was the fee) most likely because I decided to not get it repaired. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

I cannot recommend a more trustworthy, ethical, And professional business such as this auto repair shop. I always refer to Nick when I’m encountering an issue with my 2018 Mazda CX -3, and I will trust them more than any dealership nearby. The work they do is incredibly fast, incredibly affordable, and incredibly fair. They’re very knowledgeable on what they do and I will always come back knowing that they provide excellent customer service

Had a low/flat tire from a nail, and needed to get on the highway for a trip. Another garage said it wasn’t patchable and tried to sell me 4 tires. A friend of our daughter recommended Larsen. Nick at Larsen told me to just bring it over and they could probably patch it and get me on my way. I went right over and they took me right away- patched the tire and checked all the others, and they reassured me it was safe to drive, and that we probably would need tires in 5-10k miles. I asked if they sold tires. No, but could get them and install them with a day’s notice— and that is definitely who we’ll go through in 5k miles!! I was on the road in 30 minutes!

I took my brand new CRV Honda to Larsen Automotive today for its first scheduled maintenance. They were way more reasonable of a cost than the Dealership. Car was done within 2 hours! Nick Larsen, the owner was so nice and even found a problem that needs attention under warranty at the Honda Dealer. Best and most honest place to have your car worked on. My son has taken his car here for years! Highly Recommend- call ahead for appointments!

Great experience!! I emailed them about the services needed and they responded quickly. Once I arrived they asked me what I needed and requested an inspection to see if it was necessary. They were amazing. They didn’t recommend me any services that I didn’t need. I will be returning back!!!

Just dropped off the car, told him I needed an oil change, a new headlight, and a check up, and was on my way. They never push you to get done anything you don’t need, they will honestly tell you if something can wait. I got my oil change, new headlights, new brake pads, and my brake lines cleaned, and I am a happy woman. I haven’t had a complaint about Larsen in the 5+ years I’ve been coming to them. And I got a free exterior car wash!! What more could you ask for?

Ive had them work on 2 of my vehicles and theyve done amazing work with really great prices. In July of 2020 they rebuilt my transmission on my GMC G2500 Vandura and a full set of tires with the spare. Only took about 1 week to have it done and it was almost exactly the estimated price. Most recently I had them work on another G2500 Van (diamond executive) and it ended up under the estimated price and I had to have my odometer rebuilt and rear brakes(also had a leak) and shocks and a smog. Theyre always very friendly and keeps you up to date on how everythings going. This is the only shop I bring my cards to.

I could not be more grateful I did, because now I have an auto shop that I love and constantly refer to everyone I know! Nick and his team take excellent care of me. They were recommended to me when I first moved to the area nearly four years ago, by someone I know who is a car reporter. (You always take the car reporter’s advice about mechanics.) They have lived up to the recommendation. They do thorough work, stick to their timetables, and go the extra mile in customer care. In baseball season, we have a little friendly competition—and when my team is in town they reach out to say, “Go Dodgers!” I love it, because it feels like I’m more than a customer to them, I’m part of their “community,” even if I don’t cheer for the Dodgers.

Ive been in the West LA area for about six months, and had been thinking I needed to find a local mechanic when my catalytic converter was stolen. I found Larsen Automotive and headed over. Nick was amazing explaining what had happened, that he could service it, and handled working with my insurance. It was an absolutely professional and hassle-free experience that I feel cannot be topped. Drove it over on a Friday, by Tuesday afternoon (after the adjuster came out Monday) I was back on the road. No question in where Ill be bringing my car back again for tune ups and more.

I went to Larsen for the first time yesterday and cannot speak highly enough about the experience. Nick, the owner (and grandson of the original Larsen who opened the business - super cool story if you ask him about it) was easily the nicest shop owner Ive ever worked with. My jeep was in, fixed, and out within the day at a very competitive price for some e-brake work. He kept me updated and informed throughout the process, very clearly stated what they were planning on doing and no attempts to upsell or mislead. You can tell these guys care about quality service. A few years ago I went to a hole in the wall for a smog check. This time I used DMVs website to identify approved STAR stations. After researching vendors I decided on Larsen Automotive, and I am glad I did. I emailed an inquiry about price and availability. Nick Larsen responded immediately. My schedule appointment for a 2012 Honda Fit began promptly at 10 AM. The process was completed within 35 minutes as promised by manager Edgar Zaldivar who was very pleasant and professional. When I told him I would walk around the neighborhood, Edgar suggested the waiting room. That was another PLUS -- exceptionally clean area and a nice selection of diverse magazines. Smog certifications at Star stations varies depending on location and vehicle age from $29.95 to $59.95 (including CA smog certificate). Larsen Automotive charged $51.45 (labor) & $8.25 (certificate). Bottom line... I didnt mind the price. The emissions inspection and customer service was worth it!! As a corneal transplant recipient, I am particular about utilizing waiting areas outside of my home. I highly recommend Larson Automotive and will go back in the future.

I am very happy with my experience at Larsen Automotive! Starting with Nick at the front desk, who was not only genuinely friendly, but went the extra mile to make sure that everything was attended to properly. They correctly diagnosed what could have been a tricky issue and did not overcharge me. They even fixed a hanging wire at no extra charge. These are the little things that make a difference. It is the mom and pop experience, which is hard to find these days.
