This store is absolutely amazing. The staff are friendly and always ready to help with any questions. Melinda has extensive knowledge on stones along with their meanings and uses. Dons knowledge on music and musical instruments is outstanding and very wide-spread. The stores energy is always inviting and friendly. The store also smells so good! Wish I could leave 6/5 stars!

Inside is very hot even though there is fans. I had to go straight to my car after I got out for are conditioning. Smells good inside though and when you buy crystals they even give you cards that say what they do. Overall it was great!!

I dont live in Crystal, Lake but I was overwhelmed with how many wonderful spiritual items, healing tools, oils, and sound healing instruments this shop has to offer.I was deeply impressed with the huge collection of chakra bowls, gongs, and tibetan bowls 🥣 and so I decided to purchase an adorable quartz chakra bowl today to add to my personal collection.If you love clearing sprays, chakra bowls, crystals, incense, candles and Himalayan salt lamps I encourage you to step inside this cute, spiritual store and indulge your senses.It was a genuine self treat for me and everything I wanted was easily accessible and reasonably priced.I definitely want to book a Cranial sacral massage and reiki healing the next time I visit because their healers seem genuinely gifted and certified which is important to me.Melinda and Don Wells are the owners and both of them are personable and knowledgeable offering their help and advice whenever its needed.Definitely explore this lovely metaphysical store if you appreciate alternative healing services and good vibes!

I really liked this place until i realized that they sell white sage. White sage is a closed practice, for natives only. Not to mention it is also endangered. I’ll have a to find a new place to buy my spiritual items.

Nice crystal selection and jewelry, I just wish they had someway of rearranging so that ir was not so cramped from everyone being in there.

I highly recommend shopping here. I was a total newbie and all the information was just a bit overwhelming. I also was worried about buying items that weren’t authentic. Melinda took over an hour on a busy Saturday to walk me through exactly what I needed to get started on my healing journey.I’ve been back two more times since then and everyone in the shop is very helpful and extremely knowledgeable. Today I brought my son and they were so kind and patient with him. They answered all his questions and showed him all the crystals and prisms he was interested in. He even asked me when we can go back. I’m happy to share my journey with my son and grateful to have a place I can keep coming back to.Thank you!!!!!!

This shop had so many beautiful crystals, but the sheer amount of items they had available was quiet overwhelming. Every single inch of the store was filled with something you could buy. If you like stores that are filled to the brim with all different kinds of items (in this case, all metaphysical items), then go for it!The other thing that I found overwhelming was the different scents burning. It smelled like there were multiple different scents (incense and maybe Palo Santo) burning at the same time but in different corners of the shop. To me, the scents were very strong and having multiple scents burning at the same time was also overwhelming.Again, they had SO many things to choose from, and if it was less crowded I would have spent hours there! I just think a few improvements could have made my experience a lot better.

Whomever the gentleman was that kicked us out of the store was courteous enough not to be rude, but kicked us out nonetheless because my 7 year old son was not wearing a mask. I explained to him that my son has a sensory disorder and cannot wear a mask, and he informed us that we then need to leave.I was planning on purchasing items for my massage therapy work, but am gravely disappointed that he was so adamant on my son wearing a mask, that he was willing to lose the business over it. When I have explained this to other store owners, they allow us to shop. I have heard nothing but great things about evolve but dont ever plan to spend a cent in their store over this. I hope more people stand up against this and I hope to see more businesses either willing to lose the business or allow kids to be kids, especially ones with issues against wearing a mask on their face. I plan to take this further than just a review on Facebook, and spread the word. I know a lot of peopleBig mistake.

This is my favorite place to be!! I’m someone that usually get anxious when I walk into a new place, but I felt so welcomed. They were super helpful and very friendly!This is more like a 10/5 place, you won’t regret coming here.

I absolutely love it here! The staff is welcoming and the energy there is very home like. I had went there for my birthday on the 30th of November with my significant other and ended up purchasing a book, tourmaline, and a small purple vial. (if it were up to me, I would have left with a new deck and journal xD) they have so much things that could help you with your spiritual journey whether it be healing, your craft, etc. My significant other also got me a necklace with smokey quartz and blue tigers eye and I can easily say that Im so happy he did, its been so helpful. Please go check this place out! You wont regret it!

I purchased a beautiful Amethyst pendulum for $17 seven months ago. I held it a couple of times and then placed it in a box and have not used it due to personal obligations. Yesterday I took it out of the box, and it fell apart at the top section. Im not sure if the wire was too short or why it didnt hold. I took it back to Evolve to let them know about the quality to inform their supplier, and the owner was unnecessarily rude. He said he couldnt warranty it because its past three months. I said I understand, but its odd for not having any use that this happened and asked how I might repair it. He said to leave the top portion off and clip the wire sticking out and use it as a shorter version. He wanted to cut the wire off. I asked him not to and said I might be able to wrap it around the ring part. He said, okay, whatever. I put it back in the bag and said it was a shame it fell apart so quickly because I really love it, then I started to leave. He inappropriately responded that its an inexpensive piece and it is what it is. I replied that his comment was not very nice and began walking out. He said, whats not nice? I cant replace it. I turned back and told him that what he said was insensitive because the price is relative to the person, and it showed a lack of customer service. He never once said, sorry this happened. I informed him I didnt come into the store expecting him to replace it. Im a long-term customer, and I only wanted to give him feedback about the quality to contact his supplier. He said, fine, I will. His communication revealed he sells non-quality items and doesnt care about his customers.OMG! It only gets worse with this stores inability to understand customer service. I received a phone message from the owner asking me to call her back. When I called back, she said I heard my husbands side of the story; now I want to hear yours. I was taken aback by her talking to me as if I was a child. I said, what do you mean by my side. I wrote a review to tell you how disappointed I was. She said I saw the one-star review. I said, well, then you know about the item that fell apart in a short amount of time and that I stopped by to provide feedback for you to give to your supplier, and your husband was aloof and responded inappropriately. She said, do you want me to fix it? Her tone sounded very combative.How hard is it to say that is unfortunate? Im sorry that happened. Having them repair or replace it was not why I stopped in. If they were better at customer service, they would have known I was a long-time customer, and all they needed to do was recognize that and say sorry for the inconvenience. We appreciate you letting us know, and we will contact our supplier. Not once did they acknowledge I was doing them a favor by giving them feedback. I had no intention of writing a bad review, but its not right when I tried to do something nice and received poor treatment. To make matters even worse than they already were, she had the nerve to say, I think YOU may have misunderstood my husband. What kind of a store owner blames the customer. When I pointed that out to her, she said Im not placing blame; I said YOU may have. Seriously! Are you not hearing yourself. Had they been nicer, I would have taken my review down. But in good conscience, to others who buy from them, I could not. I told her my review stands, and she replied there is nothing left to be said. I lost total respect for a local store I once liked to shop.Thank you for the response to my post. Its a shame no one said those words when I was in the store or during our phone conversation because all of this could have been avoided. Kindness goes a long way.

I am always able to find the crystals and supplies that I need and most importantly the staff is welcoming and exceptional in their knowledge and customer service. I consider Melindas expertise well above the standards and trust her guidance on all her products. Great shopping experience.

I love this shop! They have a wonderful and knowledgable staff, who are happy to help with any questions you might need answered. They have an incredible selection of crystals, incense, sage and other metaphysical supplies. They seem to have something new every time I stop in, yet they always have common favorites in stock. The energy in the store is calm and welcoming, it is set up for easy browsing, and I always look forward to visiting!

Amazing products and staff! I love that Im able to have a conversation with whoever is working. They are so knowledgeable and help me find the gemstone Im looking for every time. They also custom ordered a bracelet for me when mine broke and I saw that they were sold out. Just amazing customer service!!! Oh and they showed me how all of the chakra bowls sing together. It was an amazing experience.. I will have to sign up for the full meditation. Overall, this place is outstanding. Come here if you want to leave fully educated on what you purchased.

This shop seems to have everything! They have musical instruments, crystals, oils, sprays, books, jewelry, art, plants, practitioners, classes, etc., etc., etc. Honestly, they have so much and it is constantly changing and evolving to encompass even more. The store is open and clean and feels fantastic! There is a couch in the back of the store for patrons to relax and catch up with friends on or to review books that they may wish to purchase. There is a large classroom in the lower level with complementary teas & plenty of comfortable seating from cushions to chairs. Evolve is located in the heart of the beautiful historical district of Crystal Lake where there is a fantastic farmers market during the warmer months and plenty of other shopping and dining. In fact, this part of town also encompasses a second metaphysical store that is located just 2 blocks away. It truly is a magical part of town. Evolve has also just expanded its walls to add more room making the store feel open and allowing the amazingly large inventory more room to spread out and grow in. As much as I love the location, the classes and the products for sale, the stars of this place are the people who work here. Melinda and Don, the owners, are incredibly knowledgeable and are always happy to answer any questions about their products, about what you may be looking for or just about things in general. The people they hire are also very helpful and knowledgeable. They are all so friendly and I always feel free to just look around and never feel pressured that I should buy anything. This is a friendly place, in an awesome space, with an amazing amount of items for sale and services to offer.

Specifically looking for a High Spirits Native American Flute, I found they had and much to my delight they had quite a few. Met Melinda and her outstanding staff. A few days later I returned with my Music Teacher and purchased a Native American Flute. Outstanding experience.

Went into this shop for the first time today and I fell in love as soon as I got inside! I took my time looking around looking at all the different items and smelling the incenses ((the King Cake one smelled SO wonderful!)) and just taking in the peaceful atmosphere. I ended up leaving with an essential oil, two candles and a small plate to burn the candles on. I cant wait to go back and buy more candles and oils!

The store was nice, but it had an off vibe. I couldnt put my finger on it. It didnt help that the owner of the store was kind of a watch tower and had a domineering attitude towards customers of color. And when explaining stuff to customers, it seemed like she looked down on them/enjoyed the naiveness of them, being able to assert her dominance in the area talked about. The three stars are so the nice employees dont have to suffer a bad rating.

There isn’t anything I could say that hasn’t been said, so I’ll reiterate all of those points.The staff is one of a kind, friendly and knowledgeable and always there to lend a helping hand. The product selection is unlike any other, as they have something for everyone walking in. Definitely one of my favorite metaphysical shops to visit! 🖤🔮🖤

I really enjoyed this shop. I drove quite a distance to visit. While looking at the crystals and trying to feel their energy, I was very distracted by the mindless chit chatter going on by the employees. It’s almost like they did not take into consideration the energy the customers are looking for in the crystals. While working in a great store like this, please make sure you remain mindful of the customers and their quest to locate their crystals and keep the chatter to a minimum and whisper. Thank you!

Evolve is a very special place. Warm, incredibly inviting - I always feel completely at home there. Whether I want to browse the beautiful and powerful crystals and stones that they offer, or sit on the couch and sip a cup of tea, Evolve is always welcoming. The staff who works there are wonderful, and there is never an end to the genuine care and good energy.
