Freshly baked donuts with good crispy cake donuts and muffins. Red velvet cake donut was our top pick, staff could have been nicer taking our order. We got a dozen and some donut holes. Bathroom are closed to public. We were looking for an awesome donut shop not caring how far the drive and it was okay; probably wouldn’t go out of our way for it again.

It’s our favorite donut place ever! Great chocolate cake donut that is slightly crunchy and the chocolate is not overly sweet. The apple cider donuts are really good “world’s best”. You really can’t go wrong with any selection but in addition to the chocolate cake, the devil’s food, Boston cream and white iced are amazing.

I’ve been there 3 different times and the staff always have an attitude problem. Some of the donuts have an extra charge even though there is no price next to it. If you question why you were charged extra the staff gives your an attitude and they walk away. Good donuts but horrible service.

Went to get donuts for a public school group/students and had my tax exempt letter with me and my school ID. They refused to serve me because I was using a credit card and said that the IRS only allowed them to take cash with tax exempt letters. This is strange because I was there 2 times last week and they honored my tax exempt letter and I paid both times with a credit card. In addition, every other business allows teachers to use their tax exempt letters with a credit card because they are smart enough to know that teachers have to get reimbursed by their school districts and dont use cash for these purchases because we are poor. In addition, the female manager was rude, curt, and should not of been put in a leadership position modeling such unprofessional behavior. By years end, I will be purchasing for many tax exempt situations..Country Donuts, due to your rudeness, I will be putting hundreds of dollars in another kinder, more professional vendors pocket.

By far the best donuts Ive had in years! So, I judge a donut shop by their ability to make a traditional cake donut. It should have a nice crunchy crust, moist on the inside, flavor, texture, etc.. These are perfect. Like a true cake donut, with a perfect crust. As are the others Ive tried: Sour Cream (or maybe they called it buttermilk..?), devils food, and bavarian cream. All perfect. Ill be back!

If I could give 6 stars I would :-) We went there on a recommendation and we were not disappointed. Having not been there before we just asked for assorted 2 dozen. I have tried plenty of donut shops in Chicago and I do enjoy their unique flavors like salted caramel etc. Country donuts has more basic flavors but they do them extremely well. In particular I enjoyed the chocolate with glaze which tasted like coco puffs (and normally I dont like chocolate donuts). The cruller was fried perfectly as well one of my favorite types of donuts and this one was done perfectly. Oh and Boston cream needs a shout out. I would definitely like to go back again.

Had to stop and get a dozen donuts for the family. The angel cream ones are always a great. Just drive up order and drive home to enjoy a great treat. Fresh sweet and his the spot. Go ahead and enjoy a dozen of you childhood favorites and some that are new. Cant go wrong.

Country Donuts is our favorite donut shop by far!! Ive been going here for 15 years now and I wont go to another if given the choice! The other shops dont hold a candle to the quality, flavors, and freshness of Country Donuts. Their coffee is also the best in town, I highly recommend enjoying a cup inside at the bar stools alongside the most amazing french crueler youve ever had! Our other favorites include the white iced rings, blueberry cake, and jelly filled. No matter what your choice you cant go wrong!

Used to go once a week at 1am for donuts. They are always made fresh day of and always delicious. Apple cider during the fall was always a staple for me highly recommend.

Im not sure what I can really say about homemade donuts 24 hours a day that doesnt already speak for itself, but what I will say is that these locals better treat them right and with respect. Even though the inside is closed for Covid-19 (respect) they will bring it right to your car! Thats service! The best donut shop I’ve tried so far, maybe at par (or even better!) than Gurnee Donuts!I absolutely, absolutely, LOVE their bavarian donut! It’s simply the best. My other amazing and awesome favorites are their Strawberry-filled (get this instead of the jelly-filled; this is so much better) and Devil’s Food (yummy dark chocolate goodness that is neither too sweet nor too bitter; just perfectly balanced).

I had a bad experience today when I tried to exchange a coffee. The manager on duty was rude and make feel like I was asking for the impossible. I drive 45 minutes to purchase donuts at this location and never had an issue until today. Very disappointed at the customer service offered at this location.

Near? Far? Just get in the car. You won’t be disappointed. The only donut shop that comes close in taste and quality is in Dacono, CO.

This place is great! They made a 56 year-old man, feel like a kid again. Reminded me of a donut store in Elgin I used to go to in the 70s and early 80s. Nice people work here. I hope they treat their employees well, because they deserve it! They are like a team making sure all pandemic-ridden patrons get their amazing donuts. The line is long. I called ahead. It takes awhile to get through, but be patient. Then I just pulled into the parking lot and they brought them out. Around $7 for 6 items. These prices are beyond reasonable. I wish I lived locally.

The Boston Cream and glazed donuts are insane! Theyre ALWAYS fresh! Dont waste your time going anywhere else because these are exponentially better than that big chain that just dropped donuts from their name.

These are the best donuts in the area. Fresh, great variety for every preference out there. Wish the location had more room, as it is frequently packed. Service is always fast and courteous but dont plan on finding a seat easily during busy hours.

I drove all the way from near Gurnee to get a dozen donuts, waited in line and are told theyre out. The donuts are delicious but how the heck is a 24 hour donut place out of their signature donuts? Disappointed. And the girl at the drive thru who told me didnt even apologize, just stared at me when she said she was out.

I stopped at Country Donuts after picking up my puppy from Bull Valley. For this city girl, Country Donuts is worth the pit stop! Somehow, their glazed donuts are crispy on the outside yet fluffy inside. Not too sweet and simply satisfying. Now, I dream about that donut and coffee combo. Its been months since I had those two perfectly baked/fried donuts and Im conjuring up excuses to make the drive again! See you soon!!!

Best donuts in the area. They also have amazing gluten free blueberry muffins, the cinnamon rolls are so soft and sweet. They have delicious coffee and we recently saw that they have a huge pink sprinkle donut called the Texas ring that we need to try! The line is long to order but they do a great job at moving it along fast.

We called ahead of time like their website asked and we waited almost 15min in the parking lot when we got there to have someone come to our car telling us they now only have 4 of the 12 donuts we ordered over the phone almost 30min. We thought since we ordered ahead of time, they would have boxed our donuts and had them ready when we got there. Nope! Then she asked if we wanted two chocolate long johns because they NOW have them, but didnt when we originally called. We said yes and that we would just do a half dozen. She brings us our donuts...there are NO chocolate long johns. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE until the pandemic is over. Such a waste of our time and money. We thought we were doing things right and helping them by following their processes to call ahead. Nope, they dont care. I understand the current situation, but then dont ask customers to call ahead and say you can take orders. Ridiculous and very bad customer service. Especially on Mothers Day.

Donuts are amazing but not worth the rude service. Every time I’ve been there the staff is incredibly rushed and rude. It’s one thing to have fast efficient service, but this is not that. This is downright rudeness. Best donuts around, but not worth dealing with the rude staff in my opinion.
