Good coffee and prices. Just need to dial in the consistency a bit. I order the Vanilla Ella hot regularly and its taste can vary depending on who is working. Seems to be a problem with a lot of cafes ands eaterys lately. Picture is from one of my favorite baristas. She is always on her game.

We were visiting from Brooklyn and so glad to find this place! Went here every day during our stay for delicious high quality coffee, yummy sandwiches and the very convenient drive thru. The baristas here were nice too!

This place is consistently awesome! Anything I get comes out just how I would hope it would. Service is awesome and super tasty sandwiches. They make the perfect traditional macchiato and I love getting the Amarillo breakfast sandwich, just the right amount of spice and the eggs are perfect every time. So glad this place is in Crystal Lake!

Amazingly good coffees. Had an almond milk latte and it was perfect! I visit my sister in northern Illinois and love Country Donuts down the street. This place is awesome.... will be back often while in this part of Illinois.

The associate took forever just to check how much balance I had left on my gift card. 7 minutes! Thats ridiculous! She started wondering around and then she handed it over to another associate and then started chatting to the customer in drive-thru. Bad service.Answer to the owners response: It would have been more professional and appropriate if this was explained at that moment. And, thank you for the dollar off.

This is the real deal right here. This tops every other place weve been. Delicious is an understatement. Starbucks beware, this is a game changer in drinks. All 3 of us loved this place, wish we had one in Indiana by us

Came here for an early morning work session. Great atmosphere and the coffee is very good. Very comfortable for getting work done in a relaxed setting. My only comment is the Wi-Fi. Would be better if you did not have to give out your email and (assumedly) be subjected to ad emails. Small negative, and not nearly enough of an thing to matter much but still worth commenting about. -Great coffee shop, will be back again Im sure.

I’ve never understood the appeal of Conscious. Every time I go here the coffee is bitter, some of the baristas are clearly annoyed that you’re asking them to work, and the food is meh at best.Their saving grace is their lattes are usually pretty good. There are other coffee shops in the area that that aren’t Starbucks or Dunkin, that sell higher-quality coffee by baristas that are friendly and know what they’re doing. Save your money and go there.

For me it is not a good value. Most drinks taste great. I think at least some prices are higher than ⭐ bucks.

I always love it here. The salted caramel pumpkin spice is back the day before I have to leave, so I was giddy to have this treat. There was an accidental mix-up and I got plain (but yall still really delicious) latte. I called and they fixed me on the spot no questions asked. I got my treat before ending my vacation and had fantastic service while at it. I always make it a point to come here and you should too

They mustve changed the Chai. Its not spicy & its mediocre at best. I got very little spice. Used to be the best hands down. And they raised the price for it. Not even a local anymore yet I always make this a stop when Im visiting. 2 stars was being generous, cause I hope I just got a bad one.

Not quite what I expected. I stopped into to this cafe to pick up some freshly roasted coffee and was expecting a little assistance. I was expecting someone to tell me about their coffees, maybe provide some recommendations. The place was clean and the bakery items looked good. The coffee I bought had been roasted within the last few days. There are many bags of coffee scattered around the coffee with only a short description on the bag. They have a good website but I was looking for a little human interaction.

The sweet honey bee latte is fantastic, as are the scones. I would call them more of a biscuit, since they are softer and flaky like biscuits. Either way, very tasty!

Im so happy i discovered this gem of a place! I am in love with their lattes. Ive tried the chai, mocha and white raspberry and all of them were really delicious! The best part about them? The drinks are mildly(perfect for my taste) sweetened and not sickly sweet like the chain stores without compromise on flavor! Im on a mission to try all their drinks now :D

They carry fair trade coffee which is so important to me. I had a cup there and I bought several bags to take home and it is some if the best coffee I have had. Amazing.

Conscious Cup is the last stand against Starbucks, and by god they might just win. Everything on the menu here is downright PHENOMENAL. It has such a nice atmosphere, and it draws so many people in the community together. It’s so good that sometimes I can’t even come here to study because there’s too many people! Hands down the BEST Chai. Love how spicy they make it as well. Its just perfection in 16oz, my go to size. Definitely made from scratch. You can tell. Dont change anything about it. Its not like another place that gets chai from elsewhere. This is a Gem of a place. Im from out of state & everytime Im visiting family nearby I come here.

I was immediately greeted by several employees in such a welcoming way! I tried their Iced Vanilla Caramel Latte with Oat milk (my favorite!) and it was delicious. I literally finished it in under 10 minutes. It was smooth and flavorful. The espresso was wonderful without any of the burnt taste you get from Starbucks. The place itself is also really nice. Plenty of seating with a mix of tables and couches. Will definitely be back!

It has a very welcoming atmosphere. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I got the honey bee latte and it was delicious. Not too sweet highly recommend this coffee that small batch roasted on site.

I am in love with conscious cup and will frequently go out of my way to give them my business. Their coffee is out of this world!!! They have created a cozy, welcoming environment where I enjoy being with friends or taking some time alone. They have been very kind and accommodating to my autistic son, which is enough to bring me back in itself! It’s so wonderful knowing he and I can go in and be treated so well and with such patience. Had another customer complain about my grandson so I stopped going and the prices are too high for Frappuccino‘s an desserts. Other than that they have tasty items.

This is and will always be my go to coffee shop. For me, its a bit far away but totally worth the drive. They roast their coffee in house so youre always getting the best stuff. They get their beans from exotic places and are usually organic, single origin, fair trade products. They have multiple different roasts and are always getting new ones so go ahead and try them all, youll never find one you dont like. All of their drinks are amazing and the prices are pretty good especially considering the great quality. They also have great sandwiches and stuff like that, and offer many different dairy free alternatives for your coffees and lattes. This is one hell of a local coffee shop! Love their story, love their operation, love the coffee! I have yet to try the food at Conscious Cup, but their coffee selection is out of this world. I often meet friends and clients at this location. Its super lively, yet chill enough to just sit and relax. Love the vibe when you walk in. Cant wait to go back!

The aroma when you first walk in is amazing. They have what I believe is a coffee grinder right through the front door which is so cool. Their drinks are delicious and the seating is so much more roomy than Starbucks. The staff is so nice too which is always welcoming.

They make great coffee and have a super friendly staff. They roast the coffee in house and provide a welcoming environment in which to spend time. Ive never had a bad cup of coffee there. While Im not one who typically orders coffees that are flavored, I find it refreshing that they dont just squirt some artificial sweeteners into a cup and call it vanilla. They actually make the vanilla flavoring homemade using real ingredients.

Been here once and it was an in and out visit. The atmosphere looks great and the service was awesome; however I took off a star because the coffee (drip) was over roasted. Some like it that way, I dont. But like I said, I experienced friendly service and the shop looks great.

Its a good Go To place for small groups of 6 or less people. Not a cramped layout of tables. Friendly and helpful staff. The Kenyan blend of coffee particularly nice and smooth!

The best coffee shop in town! I love their coffee and pastries. Their syrups are made in house. I know most of the staff by name and they know me and my typical orders. Walking in makes you feel like you are at really small town coffee shop, but their service, coffee and food is world class. Their instagram account is just as informative as it is entertaining.

I discovered this place yesterday while I was visiting the Honda dealership. I was curious to see what was so special about this place, so I went in, and was greeted cheerfully by the girl working there. I asked her what was so special about Conscious Cup, and she explained everything from where the beans come from to how theyre roasted. She recommended I drink the coffee black, which I never do because its disgusting to me, but I figured I would try it. When I took the first sip, I was literally shocked at how delicious it tasted. It didnt taste burnt like every other coffee I have ever tasted. I could actually detect different flavors and such with every sip. It was very smooth and not bitter at all. Ill be heading there later today to see what else there is to try. I know I will not be disappointed. Its going to be very difficult to drink anything other than coffee from here anymore!

This rating is only for the quality of the espresso. This rating is not to knock the place but to help improve it. The staff was very very nice and the place looks very clean and comfortable. I love to see independent coffee shops succeed. The tannic acid taste can ruin the espresso experience and the espresso I had tasted very very sour. Over extraction, course grind, low temperature of the water, light roast, poor quality can all contribute to this. Hopefully you can correct this. If you dont sell much of espresso, your staff is not going to be consistent. Edit :I forgot to say that their espresso was twice as expensive as Starbucks with lower quality. Their price for a pound was also 50% higher.

Great coffee roasted on location. Hot sandwiches are tasty. They have some unique beverages that probably are targeted at the more adventurous coffee lover. WiFi is free and decent bandwidth. Place is pretty busy during the day and has a good busy vibe.

I am a coffee connoisseur. There is no place that roasts and brews as well as this in the suburbs. Even including Chicago were there are plenty of roasters, few can match the artistry attained by Conscious Cup. Roasted perfectly, not over roasted, so you can catch all the natural notes from the original bean itself. If you truly love a finely roasted bean, and brewed perfectly. This is the place, in all of northern Illinois, to enjoy it at.

Eclectic, Really expensive coffee

Great coffee, great staff, horrible hours. Who closes at 6pm? At least stay open until 7 so people getting off of work can grab a cup of decaf. And please turn your Open sign off at 6. At 6:45 it can make one believe that the hours may have changed.

I love that Conscious Cup is a local to my neighborhood. There choices are AMAZING and they even offer vegan and dairy free products for my friend whom is a lactose intolerant! This makes a big difference when her and I dine together to have a cuppa joe. THANKS C. C. I love y’all!

Two Punch Tuesday and live coffee roasting make this iconic local coffee shop one of the best places to stop for a shot.Hand crafted teas, sandwiches and snacks always satisfy. Highly recommended if youre in the area!

Love this place! Great concept, delicious coffee every time, cozy atmosphere, and the staff is always wonderful. We drive out of our way to go here, and we usually go in (even though they have a drive-thru) just to see the staff. My favorite is their Seventh Heaven latte. You should try it. They also have things like scones available that are locally made, PLUS, they make their own sandwiches in-house. Oh! AND they make all of their flavored syrups themselves. This place is amazeballs. The only reason I gave them less than 5 stars is because they dont make my drinks hot enough for my taste, but I found a way to fix that by ordering my drinks extra hot. :)

Being that I have so many food allergies I cant get a good cup of coffee or food hardly anywhere. I was so excited to see the menu! But my coffee and sandwich came out to $14.65! I feel like allergies are being taken advantage of with outrageous up charging to foods. I understand the ingredients are more expensive but for an already expensive place to charge so much more doesnt seem right. As much as I LOVED the food and coffee I wouldnt come back often. Ill continue making my own foods.
